This Tabata Workout is a great way to burn calories by doing high intensity intervalsthat will challenge your entire body. This advanced workout includes 5 Tabata sets with a focus on low impact, high intensity exercises. I pulled a muscle in my calf and it was a great workout to do to be able to recover and still get a good workout in!
Low impact cries That was definitely difficult without any jumping whatsoever! I was so certain there were only two rounds, one of 2 minutes and then one of 1 minutes. So when you came back with 30 second round after I’d given my ALL I was like: NOOO. But I did it!! Thanks for this workout:)
Lol, good thing it was low impact, my shins would have not resist even half the work out . I did a long run 2 days ago and I’m still super sore! This low impact was just perfect
This is still my go to workout for days I shouldn’t be working out. If I’m sick or something I do this for a light workout.
This is my go to for when I’m recovering from something and am not supposed to workout. Gives a little burn but nothing too much. Perfect
Two minutes of push-ups was a challenge! I managed one minute regular and one minute on my knees a feat I didn’t know I was capable of. The oblique crunches were deceptively tough. My heart rate didn’t jump, but I did sweat and struggle. Low impact is no joke. Amazing work, Daniel and FB!

Phew! In most workouts, 30 seconds would be a normal interval and 1 minute quite long… Who would’ve guessed how quickly 60 seconds go by after those 2 minutes xD

During the oblique crunches, I was feeling most of the work in my gluteus medius, infraspinatus, and latissimus dorsi. What can I do to make my obliques do more of the work? I was really concentrating on not pushing up with the support arm, but it was difficult.

I would defiantly suggest this to al levels though. I loved how you had modifications and I think the modifications really helped a beginner doing a more intermediate routine. I love this workout Daniel. I end up staying in a lot of hotels for work and keeping fit can be hard. No weights, no space, etc. But I can do this one in a space that is literally 5.5 by 3 feet. And it is easier on the knees than jogging. Thank you! I rave about your channel to everyone. You have fans in the uk

I wanted something low impact that was different and challenging. I am so glad each round was shorter than the next because each round I had to encourage myself to finish lol. I modified only doing full pushups the last round. I like that you encouraged us to go slow and not lose form. Thank you for posting.
oh wow I did it, and i’m glad i did but i think i endure weight lifting better, the second and third time of this workout do get easier so that helps.
i don’t see how this is only a 3 for difficulty. this leaves me aching beyond belief. it may not leave me struggling for breath but the lactic acid is creating excruciating pain. i always dread the push ups and side oblique crunches.. love it though!:)
Haha well I got through it very well, but i can’t do push-ups for two minutes yet. No way. xD btw in that first crunch I was feeling absolutely nothing but I was making sure to squeeze every time at the top. I get a burn with bicycle crunches, so is there something with my form I need to change?

3rd Week Beginner plan
2 min rounds were hell, tought I would never make 3 rounds. But the 30 seconds rounds? They felt almost heavenly, felt pretty good. Sweating like mad. x) Killer exercise: 2 min push-ups. If my arms could have talked they would have sued me.
This is not the case with many workouts, but after this one, I feel really great!
Haha, crap! Did this one plus a warmup today before my choire rehersal and my core muscles were so exhausted that I was not able to sing properly anymore. Absolutely unable to stay in tune for any longer note x-D

I switched over to body weight Tabata from running about 8 years ago to save time and to preserve my knees and ankles. I will NEVER go back. It’s the most efficient, effective fat burning cardio around!

One request must all no-jumping programs are low impacts. I love to train with high intensity but it’s not recommended for me to jump. Could you make a video with examples how jumping session may be changed / switched to another exercises with the same intense but without jumping?

I just learned about HIIT and compound movement exercise. As excited as I am to completely immerse myself in it, I realize that I need to start “as a beginner” and work myself up to the highest expression of HIIT for my body. I’m currently doing The 12 Week Workout Challenge and I just finished week 7. I wanted to do a cardio/ab workout cause my arms are killing me from week 7 day 5. Great workout! Don’t be fooled by the “low impact” title. You will sweat and your heart rate will definitely increase. I love the fact that it is “no repeat”. So I only had to do my least favorite move (crab dance, I’m looking at you), once.

FYI for the ones who are looking for a more ab/core workout, I was disappointed that there was more leg (“squats”) workouts than abs in this video. Good cardio and getting your legs and thighs more of a burn.
Omg I LOVED THIS WORKOUT! It certainly got my heart rate up as today was also day 1 of week 5 and I needed a little cardio boost! Music amazingly went well with workout too! Thank you for your content, it’s amazing and is helping not only with my physical health but my mental health too xxx

i was looking for something quick that was still challenging but not ridiculous. It got my heart pumping. Loved the no repeat part. it’s nice that it’s low impact but you can make it more impactful by jumping….but I guess that’s not the point of this routine.:)

Enjoyed this workout but I wanted to add a little bit of a challenge so I either added some jumps or light weights to some of the moves. Got it done and crushed it!!

Hi, great workout! I have bad knees, so I can’t really do much jumping, and quarantine had me mad out of shape on top of that. While I had to modify the push-ups, this was a really fun workout!!
Great when you live in a apartment and have poor sound proofing… jumping causes too much noise for neighbours so this is brilliant
Perfect workout for coming back from a short vacation. Doable but still enough to challenge me a bit. Thank you!!!
Probably the only workout I can do multiple times and not get bored!
These “no jumping” works outs are my favorite. They get the heart pumping, but also do able when you don’t have the motivationt o go for a run. Thank you for all that you do!
great workout! I changed it up by making the last round of 30 seconds each cardio/plyometric versions to work the muscles once they were tired and burnt out..was great variation to the HITT workouts and a chance of pace. Thanks!
Love this one for when I’m travelling and have literally no space and loads of neighbours!! Good burn but with no noise and with no big movements. Love the calf Raisesespecially if you hold the squat the whole time! The burn is REAL

Me and my partner thought this video was great but thought it would be better if you could maybe add some audio explanation as you’re doing the exercises and name the exercise during the rests, if you could maybe add some adjustments for if a move is too challenging as well for something like this that would be epic as a few were too hard to do… especially if we aren’t reminded what proper form is by being told what we might be doing wrong “remember to keep those abs tight and rotate the feet during the T pose, and try not to watch me the whole time… keep your head in neutral face down rather than sneaking glances at me” | (• ◡•)| PS we love your stretching videos and your voice is so soothing x

It’s too monotonous and boring. Too much of same movements in every round. I got bored and stopped at 30 min for another different workout. Still thankful though for free workouts u give us

Heather, I am loving your workouts with no equipment and that you can do them all within the space of a mat. Especially enjoy the ones that have a warm-up and cool down as I am pretty terrible with that. Thank you you are making lockdown so much easier

Thank you sooo much, I loved all the exercises and this was my first time doing them. No repetitions make them too interesting for me I used to get bored doing the same moves while HIITing. The only super hard move for me was the last movement on the ground one I still have to make progress in that thanks again
What an awesome workout without destroying my knees and wrists too much. I did the warm you gave in the separate video too. This was an excellent workout for me after a break of 5 days. Just right mix of hard and possible.

Through the first half I really thought it was so bad. I was thinking to myself damn I’m really doing these work outs pretty easily. Then it got weird and difficult. Great work out though! Had me sweating and struggling
