Yes, its better option for vegetarian, thanks for your outstanding videos.
Was gonna go once I realized the sound was shit but when she got the peanuts out I was offski
2 TBSP tamarind extract sounds like way too much. I use the same brand, and 1 2 tsp would be more appropriate IMHO.
Excellent presentation. I am very glad you specified “vegan” pad thai. After many years of vacillating, I finally became vegan full-time. I have always loved Thai food and it is a pleasure to know there are knowledgeable people like you who know both Thai cooking and vegan.
I will definitely subscribe!
Should show in writing the measure & ingredients, what she tells since can’t make out her talking

When I saw “cooking with poo”, I thought, I can supply that myself cheap meal.
What kind of chili powder did you add to the dish at the end?
Thank you for sharing, can’t wait to cook it, pad Thai is my favorite!
Very close but in Thailand we normally do the pad thai sauce separate( palm sugar +tamarind +fish sauce) and we use Garlic chives instead of spring onion
Thanks for keeping it raw and real my good man. Poo is amazing!
That salty fish sauce hitting that hot plate…. I’m getting my fisherman pants on, I’m going Thailand with my pan
This is really nice! Mine came out a bit dry tho, any suggestions?
I had Pad Thai for the first time during my trip to Thailand, but it was so delicious that I ate every day during my trip to Thailand.
But her shirt is relatable af..once I forgot to devein the shrimp, which left me cooking with poo and I liked it.
You are an amazing chef and host. It’s mouth watering recipe.
Isn’t there supposed to be tamarind in pad thai? If there’s no tamarind it’s not pad thai to me, sorry.
It’s so hard to understand her..she should perhaps consider adding captions
I see that the alternative to the sweet radish is tamarind paste. But how much? Do you put the paste directly into the dish while it’s cooking? Etc.
I would like to try and cook the Thailand food at home some day.
I love Pad Thai. Because My first trip is Thailand. Pad Thai I ate there was really delicious. The shrimp in the video looks really delicious. I think I will be full because there are two eggs in it. And i like Cilantro. Cilantro has a strong smell. Nevertheless i like it.
Nice way of making a traditional pad Thai… really well done. If you want to learn how to make a non traditional way of making it, grain free, peanut free version, no sugar involved, come take a look at my version. You might love it. Aloha:)

Dried shrimp and Tamarind Sauce-I do all of this but I put in chopped dried shrimp and tamarind.
i put poo in my dinner and it doesnt taste right…lmaooooooooooooo
Why in the world did my Pad Thai came out white color? I follow everything accordingly to your recipe. I was really disappointed.
This is supposed to be Cooking with Poo, why did she devein the shrimp?
200 grams flat rice noodles
2 tbsp of peanuts
200 grams tofu
half a red onion
3 tbsp fish sauce
3 tbsp sugar
1tbsp sweet radish
2 eggs
spring onion
bean sprouts

Well at least it’s not poop if it was ” cooking with poop” the entire comment section would have crude comments
Just How I cook it simple and fast, I have also used other proteins depending what is left over. Yum and thanks for sharing, prayers to the journey
The background music really helped me to not understand what was being said. So why is it there?
Nice simple recipe, she didn’t even have to use tamarind sauce/paste
Sounds like the name of Katy Perry’s new song.
I cooked with poo and I liked it.
It had such a nutty flavour.
I cooked with poo just to try it.
I hope my boyfriend don’t mind it.
It tastes so nice not too much spice

Thank you for those recipes! Can’t go back to Thailand until borders reopens. so i’m going to bring some Thailand here! hehe
My people from Sumatera Island Indonesia Love that dish cooked quite spicy and salty.
But Javanese people on Java Island Indonesia love the dish which has a sweet flavour.

oh my goodness, i tried this recipe today, at it was plate linking delicious
so healthy and colorful!
This recipe is awesome! Easy-to-make, and super delicious. My whole family loved it, even my picky teen. I used two different kinds of tofu for texture, sautéed/browned them first, then added back in at end as per instructions. Thank you!
The best sweet and sour I’ve seen here in you tube. Thanks for sharing it to us.
I just bought Tofu and now I know how to make sweet and sour. Thank you for sharing ❤
Sweet lady, you are a treat for the eyes as well as a great cook. Thank you so much for posting your video tutorials.

You are so beautiful and your sweet smile mainbloing video for simple vegetables very very good to see
Wish I had found you sooner!!! Your recipes looks sooo amazing! If there’s such a thing as a previous life, I think I was Asian! I LOVEEEE garlic and different spices lol (I am part Native American tho lol)! Thank you for your videos!
The Japanese may have that cucumber but it is originally from Persia/Iran. The most delicious of all cucumbers.
Took 5 years to finally find your great video on padseeew, one of my favs, wife and I both love when they burn the noodles (you call toasted) as it adds so much delicious flavor. Sometimes does not happen when they are in a hurry. Thanks for making us hungary.
I love your recipes but stop calling animals protein.. amino acids come from plants
The soya sauce. Is that Dark soya sauce ore Light soya sauce???
Where did you buy that wok from in which you have fried Tofu??
Hi Pai! I made this last night with some vegetables and mushrooms and I also added green chillis and I gotta tell you, my boyfriend LOVES it!! This is one of the easiest dish with soo much flavor! Thank you for showing us these recipes,I wish you good luck in life and never stop amaze us with delicious recipes! Love from Bali, Indonesia.
Pailin you are so nice thank you for your healthy recipes
Hi pai looks delicious.. I checked your wok video and bought carbon steel wok.. Doesn’t vinegar harms the wok.. Kindly answer
Thank you, thank you!! I made this tonight and it was amazing. Substituted mushroom “oyster” sauce for the real thing so it could be completely vegan. This recipe will now be one of my staples.
how much vinegar you took to make this recipe? you did not tell that.
tried this recipe with eggplants very delicious thank you!
I’m a vegetarian, so can I skip Oyster sauce or is there any substitute?
Is ABC sweet soy sauce Kali man is the same as dark soy sauce?
Thanks for that sauce blend. While some supermarkets in the US might label those types of cucumbers as Japanese, they really look quite different from how people would picture them. They mostly taste the same but their surface isn’t smooth and they’re way less girthy.
This will be good as salad dressing also. In indonesia we eat this peanut sauce with kind of tropical fruit like papaya, pineapple, green manggo (unripe) or any other fruit. We call that RUJAK but with more chilies
Or leave the peanut aside, just the palm sugar, tamarind water, garlic and shallot, and chilies, seasoning with pich of salt & pepper. Blend all the ingredients in a mortar and then put in the tofu inside of the mortar then give a lil smash, not too much just to blend it all. We call it TAHU GEJROT, mean tofu crushed or something sound like that . Give it a try pai. Love your kitchen ❤❤
This is not vegetarian too cos got oyster sauce, if for me I change to vegan sauce and all vegan only thanks for sharing
I love your video presentation and your kitchen so well organized….
Dear Pai, my wife and I love Tai food. I am so happy to find your youtube videos to help me with tai cooking. I’ve watched many of them. You are a delight to watch. I’ve been stocking my shelves with Tai ingredients for the past weeks searching all the grocery stores in my area near Hudson NY. Also bought some of the cooking wares that you recommended. I’m having a problem with the oyster sauce that I bought. It’s very thick and was very difficult to get out of the container, which has a small orifice. Since I put it in the refrigerator, which was recommended, it is nearly impossible to get out of the bottle. I’m using a spoon handle to drag it out and even so it’s difficult and not really successful since it won’t even drip off the spoon handle but has to be scraped off. I noticed that you recommend a squeeze bottle for oyster sauce. I haven’t found one yet and besides this stuff is so thick I don’t think it will work in a squeeze bottle since it wants to sit tight in the bottom of the bottle even when shaken vigorously. Do you have any suggestions? Will adding water to it be a good idea? Or will it ruin the sauce? Thanks for your help. Bill
yumyyyyy
i wil try it….
i hv try ur som recpices…. it was woww…. like
thai fried rice
pinapple thai fried rice
etc
Can I use mango instead of pineapple as I’m allergic to pineapple
I am so loving your vegan recipes! I often watch your videos thinking how I can ‘veganize’ them because I absolutely love Thai food but since going vegan it’s harder to find recipes out there that are authentic but don’t include any animal products. Keep ’em coming!
amazing chanel, nice person, congratulations! Faithful follower here <3
I just made this yesterday and it was delicious! I always assume that sweet and sour sauce needs ketchup, but this sauce was great. I didn’t have pineapple so I substituted it with mango instead. It still tastes pretty good. Also, where do you buy the Thai Sriracha sauce? I live in Ontario and can’t seem to find them. What brand do you use? Thanks for the recipe! อร่อยมากค่ะ
ur gorgeous. thanks for the recipe looks awesome i wanna try it now.
Love the way you cook. I will try to cook with tofu someday.
wow it’s too good, thanks for sharing it,more vegan dishes plz……
I have done it a couple of time and it’s delicious thank you
She’s so entertaining to watch. More vids with her and her cute accent please!!!
So delightful to watch. So delightful to eat. This recipe is magnificient!
Im so happy I found you!! im currently living in Phitsanulok and the only vegetarian at my school….maybe my village. Ive been cooking a lot of farang food but I wanted some thai vegetarian recipes to show my integration and genuine interest in thai culture. im excied to follow you!!
thanks for sharing love the stir fry recipie:) actually m on veggie diet n this recipie seems yum
just a question…..you use so many different veges in your dishes….the ones that can cause gas….but i notice you dont use ginger….I am sure you need to use ginger in your dishes as a precaution….so that you dont get a tummy ache from gas….after eating….
Looks really good. Will try it tonight and send you a photo!
Lovely video with lovely SMILE. Try putting the Tofu first, right after heating the oil. I chop my tofu much smaller, so it gets cooked a lot faster and comes out crunchy. This coats the hot tofu and naturally let it REPEL MOISTURE, keeping it crunch outside and chewy inside. I sometimes take the trouble to deep fry the tofu SIMULTANEOUSLY while stir frying veggies and transfer the finished tofu, just before adding sauce, or even after the sauce. This takes RIDICULOUS skill level of TIMING, but you won’t believe the RESULT. Tofu is some of the hardest to fry or deep fry right, but when done properly…
It would be nice if you could do some vegan recipes. This is meatless but has oyster sauce.. Vegan or vegetarian thai recipes would be great!
I Love the look of this thank youI’ll be sure to prepare this within the week!!
I love your look this,so cute and a thai I love so much and sometime you speak thai.it is charming.
It would be a vegan dish without oyster sauce. Are there an acceptable substitute for it?
Any dish you make is sweet rak. Your the most awesome cook on Paltalk. I am half viet and love your food.
Thanks for posting this! I made this for my wife with green and red peppers, Roma tomatoes, and the cucumber. as well as making your tamarind shrimp. I had the sauce and had it ready for when my wife came home from work. I had to laugh as when she walked in, she commented on the “smell” of the sauce. I assured her it was all good and I was using your recipe…(we’ve watched a few of your episodes together)….I tasted it before using it and the taste was certainly better than the smell…lol.. Well, she LOVED both dishes. I’ve been trying to cook with fresh ingredients lately and have found your channel and a few others great help. I’ve been making up my own green curry paste and cooking with it quite often. Red chilies are next to impossible to find where I live or I would make your red curry paste. I’m the cook in the family and the one who likes to experiment with recipes rather than my wife. I’ve been laid off for a few months now and enjoying watching some of the cooking on youtube and cooking the dishes. I’ve actually tried and enjoyed a few of your recipes. Thanks again for posting! Geoff

I love Thai food. My mum is Thai. But unfortunately she never taught me how to cook Thai. Happy I found you here. ❤️
Think my older kids will like this recipe for sure! Thanks Pailin sweetie ⭐
I just love Thai Food. The taste is really distinct I love it so much. I will always visit you and learn your recipes. Keep safe friend
I’ve started seeing pineapple vinegar on the shelf too. It might be good in this recipe
Looks so yummy! I love watching your cooking you make everything look easier to cook.
So all this time I’ve been using the wrong noodles? The dry ones?
Made this last night. My sauce didn’t thicken as much as in the video even though I did everything to the T. It was still delicious but quite liquidy. This sauce is great on anything…I’m thinking chicken nuggets! The tofu, I guess I fried for too long so it was quite dry. Will try again tonight.
Is there anything else for the sour because I don’t like what you use
Wow… I loved it. Made a mistake of forgetting to add water and added pounded red chilli instead of dried. Loved it. Thank you so much. Yummy.
Appreciate if you could give more recipe which is veg and also with no sugar. ❤️
Made this yesterday! Came out kinda chewy but that’s because I got impatient and didn’t wait until the oil was at 375. The last batch I made and cooked at 375 came out so crispy perfect. Thanks!
This sauce is fantastic!! I served with fried tofu puff stuffed with minced meat and my family loved it. thank you so much for the great recipe.
+Pailin’s Kitchen I love that small wok you are using for frying. What’s the story on that? Is it from Thailand?
Wow!Sure i will be making this! Thank you so much, love your channel. Regards from Philippines ❤️❤️
I found this in Chatuchak weekend market, as a tofu lover felt like home.
Hi Pai, how about Asian Ginger broth please? For the Vegan . Thank you very much !
Ahhh now I understand why it’s never quite right when we make it at home haha. Gotta have the right soy sauces and make the noodles more toasty
Sawatdi Kha Pai! Can you make a video of the bitter dipping sauce? . Please!
How long can I keep the sauce for? I’d like to make a batch of it. I would assume not to add the peanuts in until I’m ready to use it?
Lovely recipe! Found you channel a little while ago and am really enjoying it.
This is going to be my supper with a cucumber and sesame seed salad and a little spice. It is lime juice and onion and toasted sesame seeds.
Tried this with store bought pad thai sauce! Awesome flavor! Great job Poo!
People in Heaven eat like Jesus Christ did after His resurrection. I believe Thai food must have a great place there. Your work will never end teaching those who love Thai food. Ha
Do we need to use extra firm tofu or just firm tofu is fine? Thanks
Yes, this real vegetarian don’t have fish sauce and oyster sauce, I like the recipe thanks for sharing
you are so cute…..
and your foods look great and absolutely delicious….
Can you please tell me what tofu gets used for deep fried tofu puffs?
Ooooh no don’t throw away that beef juice that’s where a lot of the delicious sticky salty natural caramelisation comes from, from the meat itself. Instead take out the beef when ready, (set it aside) leave the beef juice in the wok and reduce it with a tablespoon ginger juice (if you like) some sugar until it becomes a sticky yummy that will coat the noodles rather than soak into them, the water content will have evaporated. Then toss in noodles and cook as normal. Some people also sprinkle a teaspoon corn starch on the raw beef when they cook it, this turns any juices into a nice thick consistancy that will also just coat the meat. Retain the natural beefy goodness.
when you say white vinegar, i take it to be the vinegar made from grain alcohol, (aka Heinz or some other brand found in any Canadian or American supermarket) versus an unseasoned rice or coconut or palm vinegar that is frequently used in Chinese and Japanese cuisine and generally contains less acetic acid (3% versus 5-7% for plain white vinegar).
Hi Pailin, my name is Harry. I am from Australia. Me and my wife love your recipes. We are just wondering how to make the vegetarian stir fry with chilli and basil sauce. We love it through and through and order it all the time from our Thai restaurant called chong-co. Will you be available to share the recipe for us? Thanks a million in advance.
Harry

Can you use Maggi seasoning in place of the golden mountain sauce?
I just love watching her even I am not looking for any recipe. Just love to see her face. So cheerful and just make me feel happier!
what kind of the sauce in the can that you put in, i don’t know the name. please let me know. thanks, the sauce look so good.
Thank you! I made this for my wife last night and it was perfect. I kept the tofu in those triangles and gave them a light toss in corn starch. I did my own spin on the dipping sauce. Similar but different. White wine, white vinegar, palm sugar, ghost pepper (yum!), white sugar, garlic, soy sauce, a pinch of sesame seed oil and fresh cilantro. This will be a new staple in our home.:)
You say some when you’re putting the ingredients in but, what are the measurements? please
Your soooo sweet, I love all your recipe.
in Malaysia we stuffed the fried tofu with vegetables…cucumber…carot and bean sprout
I don’t have spur chillies and is not available here so can I use fresh red bird eye chilly for this recipe????
You are a joy to watch. New subbie here. Will try this recipe at home.
Thanks so much, I will try this soon:)
I can’t stop laughing after seeing the bloopers, honestly hahahahhaha
I really want to make this but I’m scared of being splashed by hot oil
just love all your blooper moments at the end of the videos <3
hi pai.how r u? for tis chili sauce wat if i add in corn starch and pounded toasted sticky rice? is it o.k?

I made this today along with your homemade rice noodles recipe. It was SO GOOD. thank you ❤️
This is one of the clearest, most informative cooking videos I have ever seen (and I’m a cookbook author). So helpful. I’ve made pad see ew many times (it’s a favorite quick dinner) but this shows how to make it even better. Thank you!
I lived in Thailand for some time and I always buy this in the food shop. When I got back to the Philippines I havent found any place in the city where they cook pad see ew. Luckily, I saw this! <3
Can one make tofu at home and if yes can you show us how it’s done please???thank you
That wok has seen better days… I think it’s time to replace it…
She speaks beautifully! (in contrast with the other host I bookmarked)
Pailin, thanks so much for showing us how to make Pad See-Ew. This is my kids favorite Thai dish. You make it look easy. Can’t wait to try. Pias
I cringe so hard every time I hear someone say “PAD SAY UU”.
I review this fabulous recipe each year at the start of outdoor woking season. So delicious! You don’t need catch-on-fire heat for this dish, but it’s still more fun and less smokey to cook outside.
Pailin, this is the third pad see ew recipe I have tried. All three of them tastes the same so maybe it’s the traditional version, but its not the flavor I’m used to eating at thai restaurants in Los Angeles. I know Americans Americanize many ethnic foods to our taste buds so is that what’s happening here?
Or maybe it is because the pork or beef bring most of the flavor? I dont eat meat anymore so I dont know if that’s what is killing my dish
When i wanted to try something from the Thai Cuisine there was no-one whom i could find to teach us the recipe this channel has all the recipes:)
We tried this recipe and it was GREAT. These are the absolute best video tutorials we have watched or tried.
Thanks!
My noodles keep breaking into tiny pieces even when I fry one portion at a time. I use a wok too. Please help? I’ve attempted to make pad see yew 5 times already. I buy the fresh noodles and seperate them into individual pieces by hand.
Thanks to you, this dish is so much easier to make! Aroy mak ka!

This is only noodle dish in the world that I add a packet of sugar when being served.
Thank you Pailin for all the tips on how to cook everything. I absolutely love everything you cook.
Thank you for this! Is it possible to use Indonesian sweet soy (kecap manis) instead of dark soy?
Made a variation of this because I didn’t have all the ingredients and it was great! Thank you!
See ew means soy sauce, in Cantonese it’s pronounced See yow. A lot of words sound almost the same between Thai, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Korean and Japanese because these languages retained words and pronunciations from Old and Middle Chinese. In Cantonese cuisine Pad See Ew is basically Beef Ho Fun (if you use beef).
I used to always make this dish with homemade noodles (see Pai’s awesome video on how to do this), because I couldn’t find decent pre-made noodles for it. That can add a lot of time to somethign that’s otherwise a very fast dish, so I decided to try it using plain old dried rice noodles (same kind you use for Pad Thai, but the widest I could find).
It came out great. Instead of just soaking them like you do for Pad Thai, I actually boil them for about 4 minutes, which makes them softer, like the consistency of the steamed noodles normally used in this recipe.
Made this today. Veggie pad see ew. It was so delicious. My mom said it was better than the restaurant

A great cook can teach while they work. Mrs Pailin is master
ooOooOo! Soooo yummy! I can’t wait to try this! How are those noodle sheets sold, in the fridge section? Thanks for your detailed instructions and explanations. You are the best! Your style is perfection!
I’ve made this a few times and did tonight. I improvise a little. Can’t get Chinese Broccoli so I used broccoli rabe. For beef, I used ground beef and like it. Delicious!
What distinguishes Pad See Ew from Pad Thai? Is Pad See Ew more similar to Singaporean Fried Kuay Tiao or Beef Hor Fun noodles?
In all my years of watching Thai cooking videos, I have never been required to use these two odd soy sauces. This makes i very hard for most of us to make it. Looks good but will never make.
Cooking enlightened..that’s what you are, thanks for the show. ♥️
I’m literally looking for the recipe for an hour already and I can’t find it
Cannot find these noodles in store or online….. any suggestions??
i made this, its great, thing it tends to be a little salty, need to balance the soy with maybe lemon?
where can i find the sheets like that? any ideas in san francisco?
Such a GREAT preparation of this dish! Love that you explain the charring technique and why it’s so important to the flavor of the dish! Awesome production as well. Just subscribed! Great channel! Cheers!
You put a big smile on my face. I love your energy and enthusiasm
To anyone that cooks this, try a slice of lime on the side to squeeze over the whole dish after it’s done. It takes the flavor to a wholeeee different level.
Can someone tell me the name of the frying pan at 4:00 (if it has a particular name)? Thank you!
Thank you for sharing, I need to make this. It looks so Aroy Mok Mok!
Good lord your beautiful! I speak very good English also but I’m brown village Thai.. a fat man.. cant cook.. and not very beautiful… lol
Love your videos!!
Khun Pai, what can I use instead of Chinese broccoli? Anything close to that?
Hi Khun Pai, just came across your videos and I’m in awe!!!! Having lived in Thailand for 23 years, now recently have relocated back to my own country (India) & I along with my family are missing “aharn Thai” so much!!!! I could recreate these lovely dishes (ofcourse, with the help of your videos) but some fresh ingredients are so hard to find. So, I’m kind of disappointed. But your videos are so inspirational that I’m going to hunt for what I need. No pain, no gain.
Where can I find these cute little prep bowls with the pour spout?
I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOR YEARS <3 <3 <3 thank you so much, theres a little restaurant in Ban Nam Khem in southern Thailand that I frequented daily for months and their pad see ew + tom kah gai were my two favourite recipes but everytime I've checked one out on line it wasn't explained as efficiently as you have here, cannot wait to try it out! Thank you!!:) p/s putting like an excessive amount of fresh lime on this dish with a little bit of the chili vinegar is to die for/ A MUST. <3 <3 <3
besstes süß & sauer Rezept;) etwas Chili dazu dann ist es ein Traum!!!!!! ok und Tofu muss ich jetzt auch nicht gerade haben;)
this is one of my favorite dishes i will try to make one day. thanks for sharing.
Hi! What is the name for dish very same to pad see ew, but more like soup?
Definitely my favourite Thai dish. Thank you for the excellent lesson.
Thanks for the recipe! If we dont have fresh noodles here, can we use yhe dry version? Shall it be cooked before?
How do you increase the level of spiciness? What ingredient do you recommend to alter
The clearest explanation so far!! What can I use for those that are Shellfish and Crustacean allergic? Oyster and fish sauce will harm me.
I love the way you make. I gonna try to cook that. I want to know the recipe of Pad Thai too. If you have the link please share me.
If you ever go to Chiang Mai the restaurant Yok Fa does a fantastic Pad See Ew!!
How do you get your rice noodles to toast without sticking to the bottom of the wok?
Just made a version of this as a quarantine meal. It was DELICIOUS.
hello, any recommendation how to get a good wok like yours? Thanks!!
Made this for dinner tonight and it turned out perfect! Just like my favorite Thai noodle restaurant! Thank you for sharing your recipes!!
