Can you do a video on bertolotti syndrome? Exercises that help? Strengthen?
Was using an electric pad heater for minor low back muscle pain (diagnosed by PC and specalist) and just ordered a Thermotex heating pad… thanks for the recommendation. For those interested, the discount is pretty good so be sure and use the coupon code!
Can u charge this in car? I need a heating pad that can be carried and charged in my car!
Dandlinc, I respectfully have to disagree with youI bought the same unit this week and it does not get very hot. In fact it takes like 5 minutes to get up to its highest temp, then it backs off after about 5 or 6 minutes. If you recycle power and turn it back onit doesnt even come close to the first temp you hit when you first turned it on 5 minutes in. My unit does anyway. To me the lower settings are useless. I remember that in the past I have (excitedly go figure) bought sunbeams thinking they are an independent manufacturer and always have been disappointed, I personally have found The Walgreens equivalent cloth XL model to be the hottest unit I have used but they are hard to find lately. I have found the vinyl CVS ones 2nd best if you take the cover off, but who wants vinyl pressing on your back. i am half tempted to get a thermometer and compare the models to prove this point and post it. I have Lyme and really look forward to a good heating pad for my fibromyalgia and aching flu like mid section. They say the Lyme spirochetes lower your body temperature over time to reproduce. Heating pads make their jobs more difficult and provide relief all in one. Also i just noticed that you got to a whopping 98 F? What good is that if you want to heat your body a little higher than body temperature? 98 is body temp! To feel ‘something” you need (i guess) maybe 3-5 degrees hotter than that? Just saying.
I have severe chronic sciatica low back pain. It’s so bad most days i feel stiff and painful. I have nerve damage. Any recommendations to help ease the pain.
Very disappointed in this video. There’s a strong lack of transparency do to promotion of a brand rather than product type. I’m not in any way adverse to affiliate or commission marketing but come on guys speak more to the performance of the product types.
This is really horrible video. The music is so loud, I can barely hear you speak. Then the first pad, you have to break your arms holding it in place…then the second one ‘king size’ same thing, and just…I don’t have many more words. Hopefully you’ll get better at these as you go along.
Thank you Gayle, that sure was helpful. God Bless! I’ve subscribed!
I have used heating pads for my neck for decades now. My friend in Seattle sent me one that is essentially instant on as far as producing heat (8 levels), 2 hour limit or continuously on. I don’t know if it is wet or dry but my sweat sure makes it moist heat fairly soon. One of the best products I have ever encountered.
I’ll be ready for a heating pad in December…… Now looking for a cooling pad.
What a rip off. I ordered this product for 219.00. For certain reasons it did not work out for me and returned it to CANADA from USA. $50.00 is what it cost me and currency exchanges. DO NOT ORDER THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE A BUNCH OF EXTRA MONEY TO THROW OUT THE WINDOW.
I would like my 50.00 postage reimbursed by Bob and Brad.
What out for the lone star tick and. Check your dogs. A lone star tick was found in ND it was on the news.
This heating pad only worked for a year and 2 months. It is still in warranty but Sunbeam is unresponsive. You have to wait 20 min.on the phone. I would give this heating pad 1 star. I will never buy a Sunbeam product again.
Hello. I was diagnosed with L4-L5 disc bulge. I got no leg pains or sciatica at all. But my lower back is very stiff / tight which causes me lower back pain. Can you recommend exercises for this.. Thanks Dr.
Think you guys should redone this video. Add food that increases circulation of blood. Beets and heat
Love your videos, have learned so much! Can you make a video for older adults showing how to use a tennis ball on the wall for pain/knots and why it helps. I see you have some using the mat or floor but older adults won’t do that and a visual of going on the wall helps.
Sir i have a sleep disk problem for 3 years and i’m doing excercies for 1 year but still my pain as same as before and i don’t want to operate my back please suggest me what should i do? I have done everything fot it but no results
I have 2 infrared lamps on a roller looks like its from a hospital. a family member passed away (rip) and we inherited it what’s it for?

Do wheat/rice heat pads act like your first heat pad….. only afew millimetres into the skin? I’m in the UK.
I would love to know if there’s a more affordable brand for this infrared heat stuff.
I like to know why there are so many basic questions being asked here without answers forthcoming from you who are promoting this product. Such as…..what the difference is between near and far infrared. Also the difference between an infrared lamp and this enormously expensive pad.
Was looking up reviews on far infrared mats for my husband’s T6 compression fracture. Happy to see your input. Used your code
Hey why you come up at the top of the searches? You becoming too popular lol
Thermotex price to high….. who ever does the pricing for this > fail… make it cheaper sell more.. period!
Two questions. First, what about thermophores vs heating pads? I use a thermophore in my clinic because it heats so much faster, and as you mentioned the moist heat feels much more penetrating (it’s like the poor man’s hydrocollator). I notice a much greater therapeutic benefit on my own DDD symptoms compared to heating pads.
Second question is have you heard anything about the type of energy emitted by far-infrared devices vs near infrared? I’ve recently read research papers on far infrared vs near infrared saunas, and the prevailing medical impression is that far infrared therapy should be avoided because the wavelengths are most closely related to the energy emitted from cellphones etc., which has proven to be physiologically harmful. I was disappointed to read this, as I’ve been a big fan of far infrared saunas (now I’ve switched to near infrared bulb saunas).
Thanks for your videos, and I look forward to your reply.
better the volumen of your video i have to crank up volume to here you good.
What if I have a muscle spasm and my back gets tight. It hurts but is it inflamed? Heat or cold?
More volume pls….love you guys very informative.. what about a Bio Mat? Curious if it is a good thing to buy. Thanks
Just ordered the infrared Thermotex heating pad last night and it is supposed to arrive tomorrow, from Canada to Wisconsin. Can’t wait to try it. Thanks Bob and Brad for this suggestion.
Hello guys
Great info tonight. I wasn’t the infra red pad found the correct in Canada. Tried to get their newsletter 3x page reported missing
The pad is 249.00 dunno what the discount will be. Only problem is Zi never put my credit card online & no phone number for them
Can you give me additional info
Thanks
Really like your videos. Is there a heating pad style where you can sit on it? I have left hip pain. The electric style has flexibility and I coujld fold it around the hip and sit bones. But directions say do not sit on it or crush it. The infrared model you have is rigid. I could sit on that (if you are “allowed” to). and use something else for the lower back at the same time? Can that be done?
Have you ever heard of click heat? We just got some for our patients
The code only works on the largest pad. I tried it with the next one down and they refused the code. Just a friendly FYI.
Need to ask a couple of questions. Which one of the thermotex would work for a shoulder with bursitis? And would it work as well as ultra-sound?
Brad Heineck!!! I finally figured out where I knew you from! I was the girl at the ski hill rental shop tonight who said I knew you from somewhere! I knew it had to be the therapy field, then I figured it out on my drive home tonight! I’ve watched so many of your videos throughout the past 4 years! They help everyone from patients to clinicians. Keep making great videos!
I bought one of these because of your previous video. I had never heard of them. I just now see that one can remove the outer material to wash it. I do not know if it’s washer safe, yet. Mine was the $99 model. Second from the largest, I think. I wanted the largest but couldn’t fit it into my budget. Just for anyone who’s trying to decide, only the largest one can bend, at the “hinges”. When using on your back while sitting, don’t have the brand logo upright as that position will cause stress on the cord. Just turn it sideways.
turned notification off only because you guys post around 1:30 am. love you guys. have learned a great deal
Would this work as a replacement for a pet pillow? Could I use this in my pets bed?
Where did you purchase that gun that showed you how hot it was?
It likely does have an auto-off feature, I believe that’s MANDATED nowadays. The manual states “The Auto-off feature is indicated by a LED light in the upper left corner of the controller. The LED light is red when the heating pad is turned on. After 2 hours of continuous usage, the pad shuts off automatically and the LED light turns off. Note: this
heating pad has a built in safety feature that prevents the heating pad from being turned on immediately after the auto off feature has turned it off. Please wait at least 1 minute before turning your heating pad back on.”
And what do you possibly need a heating pad for?
Point of Order: Correct terms are important.
Conduction transfer of heat through physical contact.
Convection transfer of heat through forced or flowing air/water/other “fluids”.
I bught the heating pad from another store, get really warm and the price is cheaper. Buy Now 40% OFF!! https://www.amazon.com/gp/mpc/A2A5HKDX2YB091
I have a question. I have degenerative disc disease and I still am pretty flexible. I do my exercises for my back daily. Is it okay to jump rope at the gym? I’ve had DDD since 2013.
So I don’t have to go through putting the item in the cart and entering the discount code, could someone just tell us the discount amount please?
Throw a soft moist towel in the microwave for under a minute.
Maybe just me but had volume at max only hear half-Can always turn it down-Like videos otherwise
I’ve never had much luck with infrared, the ones I’ve used just don’t get hot enough for me. ( my optimal temperature is just shy of burning )
Is there an infrared made specifically for the jaw area? It is the hardest area to treat with heat at home. I think I could really benefit but I don’t bother because it ends up being so uncomfortable with devices that are not the right size/shape.
What was that white sheet on your bed called again? Where can we buy it? You said it was for bleeding etc
did this available in saudi arabia & what is price? 00966595890706
Which is best for dealing with sciatica? / piriformis system
Please do a video on mirror box therapy four the hand and fingers after a stroke.
Thank you so much.
Be aware: if your having back problems, you can not lean back on it or against it. How stupid. I called the 1-800 number the guy said to make some kind of strap that I hang from my neck(!) and let the pad hang down my back. Yeah right. Returned for money back.
4:16 is where the video starts you’re welcome
god these guys’ intro is longer than a “beauty guru”
That was an interesting element with the wet pad. Thanks for sharing. X
How warm/hot can this get? I got an electric heating pad and all the settings were the same, even at the highest. And highest was not even warm.
it shouldn’t take three, four minutes for you guys to start actually comparing them
Good information in very understanding voice. Now we know how to use moist sponge in heating pad.
