This sauce is so good I make it every holiday. I always loved the canned gelled cranberry as a kid. I wonder if that could be made keto? Bonus if it could be set in the same type of ridged can as the original!

This is not keto. This is sending the wrong message to someone who is uninformed who may be insulin resistant or diabetic. There is 33 g of carbohydrates in just one third cupof cranberries. No fruit is keto except for raspberries and very limited. On occasion blueberries and strawberries but also extremely limited. This spikes insulin quicker than you can shake a stick. I have no doubt that this tastes good I love all of your recipes but this isn’t keto should be labeled lower carb no added sugar.

Can you add gelatin to firm it up? And any recommendations on amounts? Grew up on the canned stuff and made it once myself pre keto. I REALLY dont like the taste of anything canned (even veggies) and I am not willing to have any cheats but I would like more of something between sauce and jelly. Thanks for any tips!

I have made my cranberry sauce for the past three years like this. I make a couple changes: only White “sugar” with orange zest; two minutes before the end of cooking I add another 4 oz. of cranberries cut in half and 1/2 C. walnuts. I enjoy the extra textures and the family loves it, too.

Do you have any idea how much sugar is in a pineapple naturally? That’s not something that a diabetic or anyone who is on a sugar-free diet can even eat. You can’t eat pineapple canned or fresh or any other way. You can I have cranberries if they’re made with Stevia. You just told people to poison them selves.

I just pulled the nutrition info directly from the USDA website and it also shows 3.6 grams of fiber per cup of whole cranberries for a net 8.4 per cup! https://fdc.nal.usda.gov/fdc-app.html#/food-details/171722/nutrients I guess I would have 2-3 tablespoons at Thanksgiving so this is definitely workable within KETO.

I just use the standard bag of cranberries from the grocery store. I think it is a 12 ounce bag of fresh cranberries. One bag makes a lot of cranberry sauce.

It was such a hit that the batch I made in preparation for last thanksgiving was eaten! so I had to make more closer to thanksgiving. and it can be frozen nicely. my question is if I use swerve (powdered) can I also freeze it or keep it in the fridge for a long time?
