General Tips for Eating Out When You Follow a Low-Carb and Keto Diet Simplicity is Key. Choose dishes that are prepared simply, without sauces. Sauces often have hidden (and not-so-hidden) Don’t be Afraid to Ask. At restaurants where free bread or rolls are provided before the food is serve.

My need to eat toxic waste every single day went away more than 3 1/2 years ago soon after I decided that I was only going to eat it one day a week. My appreciation and enjoyment of toxic waste did remain however and I have always enjoyed my cheat day so for me the whole cravings thing has been complicated but not really that hard to control. The fact that I’ve been remarkably well-behaved six days a week for nearly four years has recently led me to eliminate real sugar from my diet almost completely. My sweet treats and cheats are now sugar-free and low carb even on cheat day so my “toxic waste” is now much less toxic. I’ve worked up to low(ish) (50-100) carb omad five days/wk, a 40 water fast once a week and my cheat day with a 8-10 hr. feeding window one day a week. Not the quick or straightforward way to do things but it works for me. Male 61 years. Ht. 6’1″. SW 283 CW195 GW maybe 180?

I wish people understood insulin resistance and PCOS better before promoting their high carb vegan diets. It’s so annoying having to constantly explain how we can’t metabolize sugar properly and the excess insulin aggravates PCOS symptoms. I can’t stop rolling my eyes God help me plzzz!! Never skip any fruits ever!!! We are made to eat carbs. And no, carbs in soda and donuts are not the same as the complex carbs in whole grain and other high carb plants. Keto has been debunked and should be banned!

As a type 2 diabetic, I am hopeful that my blood glucose will be more under control by following this way of eating. Need lots of encouragement and reminding as the rest of the household isn’t in the same frame of mind.
The NHS advocates AGAINST low carb diets. The NHS believes that low carb promotes ‘fat burning’, and must be stopped. The NHS also believes that low carb diets promote muscle loss. This was told to me by a diabetes nurse at South Tyneside Hospital. I argued against what she was saying, but she was adamant.
I reported this back to a doctor at my surgery in South Tyneside and was advised by the NHS doctor that I mustn’t disagree with qualified doctors when discussing diabetes (type 2, as i am). Any thoughts anybody?

If you are invited for a dinner (except a buffet) with friends you have to eat and behave as everybody else does in that group or stay at home. Diet shouldn’t become kind of religion: exemptions are always possible. And don’t start talking about your great diet….
Fruit is little more than a sweet! 25g of carbs in one medium apple! 24g of carbs in 1 medium banana!.. eat grains??!?!?! This is not how to do a low carb diet!

Low carb diets are dangerous and unnatural for human beings. We produce more amylase than any other primate because we are supposed to eat starch. If one stops eating added oils and animal products then you can thrive with carbs.

I live in Danmark and covid19 stoped every activity almost everybody stays home as that is the low and keep our distance from each other. 4 feet apart i lost my focus about keto and the pounds are coming back & my wish for carbs as well… I’am in top of things on what & what not to eat on keto: my wonder is why Dr G her says “low carb” almost all the time does she mean high fat as well or is just low carb moderate fat ( when your fat adapted?)…Please help I desperate, I want to start my keto again and now is the best time to do so! The government has forbidden us any social activities until 13of April… Soooo go keto, I said to myself… ps. Buy sanitizer and use it all that you can and stay away from people even that the look healthy. Covid 19 is not a joke. Stay safe

Just wonderful, I’ve been looking for “carb cycling chris powell” for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried Nantray Carb Caboodle (do a search on google )? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my friend got great results with it.
This pretty much the diet every lifter need to do if they want a 6 pack. Although you do have to lift weights and maybe adjust your food portion depending on your weight.
I stopped eating potatoes, rice, pasta, and white bread, last October. I also stopped snacking between meals and finished my evening meal by 7.30pm. Salads and veggies were increased, meat consumption stayed the same. I rapidly lost 5 kg, so occasionally had potatoes or rice or pasta, in much reduced portions to what I would normally, say once every 7-10 days. I eat three extra-thin slices of Vogels bread (whole grain) toasted with avocado and cottage cheese EVERY day, and as of April 2020, I have lost a total of 9.5kg. I am 69 years old and it was all very easy, I have never felt hungry. I sometimes indulge myself with a meal which doesn’t fit into my new regime and my weight is still holding steady sometimes losing or gaining 100-200gm every few days.

It is also important to look at trying to avoid the highest glycemic index carbs, right? I guess the carbs you recommend are complex carbs. I get into trouble with certain carbs and i suddenly have an endless appetite. And i bought dark choc by Lindt and it is very good, but says 85% cocoa, not cacao, so i am not sure ab it. Amazing taste. We also have 72% cacao choc chips. I like them in my Fage 5% plain yogurt with some walnuts and a drop of honey.

I went on Keto, stuck to it for 3 weeks, but I was constantly weak, constipated, and tired. I switched to low-carb, no sugar and I don’t lose the 4 lbs a week as I was on Keto, I’m losing about 2 lbs a week but feeling a lot better now.
It’s been almost 2 months now, and I still crave sugar. As soon as I reach my goal, I’m going back to enjoying carbs and sugar…… but this time in moderation and only once in a while.

I can speak only for myself, but my food cravings went away and I got off 50 units of insulin with three months of a low carb diet. The only side effect I can see is constipation.

When I was trying low carb for the first time. I’d make mac and cheese using zucchini. It was so good. I went off cause I was so tired by day 4. But I think if I could do 50 grams per meal. I think I could do this.:) You can get decaf green tea and black tea. Make it yourself though lol. I love almond milk.

Be sure not to use dressing on the salads. The number one ingredient in salad dressing is always soybean oil. I say fuck it and just eat at home if you can.

I feel so light and the scale is liking it so well I been low carb for a couple days, today was bad because I ate candy but I did have nuts in with the chocolate and ice cream and huge ass cookie , but yesterday I was so good.

People are yelling at her for not intaking carbs lol. She does intake carbs though. She states within the video she carb cycles. It’s only a manipulation of her metabolism. She intakes a higher amount of carbs on high carb days. Relax. It’s still getting in her body. Just a different diet that works for her.

Hi Dr. Becky, I have a question. In April 2019 my A1C shot up to 10.9 after having been well-controlled previously with Trulicity. I immediately started fasting; all the variations of intermittent and then also alternate day fasting 36 hours water only followed by 12 hour eating window. I’ve done one 5-day water fast per month since April. I love fasting, especially the prolonged fasting because I have no hunger and no cravings. I began also to reduce carbohydrate consumption and slowly transitioned to Keto (50 g or less net carbs) and varied that with just low carb (100g or less net carbs) and also periods of time where eating resembled former patterns although to a lesser degree. By the end of August my A1C was 7.1 At the August blood work I had asked for a C-reactive protein and a blood insulin level (had not been tested for either before). My C-reactive protein was elevated at 15.3 as was the blood insulin at 21.8 I had new blood work in January 2020, fully expecting my C-reactive protein and blood insulin to both be much improved along with a lower A1C. My A1C was 6.9 which was better although not as low as I had hoped or expected. However, my C-reactive protein had risen sharply to now 51. Blood insulin was also higher at 24.2 My MD explained that as I become more insulin sensitive the blood insulin may rise temporarily because the insulin is being released from organs and other tissue but that it would normalize with time. I don’t know if that is right or not but it sounds reasonable. Neither my MD or my endocrinologist were the least bit concerned about the C-reactive protein. I also stopped eating inflammatory fats and cook all my meals at home; fats are KerryGold butter, avocado oil, duck fat, coconut oil, and olive oil but I don’t heat the olive oil. Meat is organic grass fed and grass finished beef, eggs are organic and pasture raised. Fish is Vital Choice wild Alaskan salmon. I’m stumped, I’ve completely changed what and how I eat and feel so much better although I know I have a long way to go to regain my health. I’m 57 years old, post menopausal (went through menopause in my 30’s), type 2 diabetic diagnosed about 15 years ago. 309 lbs., down from my top weight of 360 and down from 340 in April 2019. Appreciate any insight… Love you and watch all your videos
I like all your are saying, but how about other health care providers such as Pritikin diet who died with amazingly clean arteries (as sources stay) and everything is opposing your recommendation.; for instance, low fat and everything is low fat and less meat. Thank you

Do you eat anything before you do a morning work out? I know some people don’t feel the need to but if I don’t eat before I work out I will feel like I’m going to pass out, and I’m not sure what’s best to put in my body before exercising first thing in the morning!

Choosing low fat yoghurt is the worse idea ever. They add sugar to it. The best diet is eating more healthy fats like seeds nuts avo. Full fat yoghurt, fish, eggs but the protein in a moderate amount. Less carbs, no refined carbs and lots of veggies and a little fruit

wow Australia’s Chipotle is so much healthier then here in USA we don’t have those yummy greens here just green to brownish lettuce and no jalapenos as a choice just the 3 hot sauces which bums me out cuz I LOVE jalapenos and would love to just have that on my bowl rather then asking for the sauce that has tons of sodium and sugar in it.

I can 100% testify to this! I gave up sugar three weeks ago, and went low carb/intermittent fasting/no processed foods about a week ago. My cravings have all but disappeared. One of the foods I tend to overeat is cream cheese. If it was in the house, I used to think about it constantly. This morning I remembered that I FORGOT I had cream cheese in the frig. And yesterday in the grocery store I picked up but then put down (with no emotional cost) one of my other trigger foods. It’s amazing!

I like a high fat, high protein and low carb diet! The fats and especially the proteins are the fuels that keep me the fullest without having to eat so fucking much food. I am never bloated and rarely fart which is all the vegan diet ever did to me. Fuck plants! They garbage foods..

Also I am not eating much as I was in the past, I still don’t feel jittery or sense a crash I’ve shed about 15 lbs since making use of this product..

I was very thrilled to try this diet program “fetching tuti space” (Google it). This kind of plan was the reason why my pal managed to lose 11 lbs. I have been using this for 3 weeks and have shed 12 lbs already. I did not make virtually any major changes in my way of life. I have become mindful of just how much fat I was consuming and simply eat less of it..

I googled about “fizy unique plan” & begun following this guide minutely. The result was fairly amazing. You would likely be surprised to find out that I lost close to 14.8 pounds simply in a week.
I though it is not possible to lose that 14 pounds of fat, but “fetching tuti space” (Google it) proved me drastically wrong. I never dealt with any issue when I began my objective of dropping extra fat. I`ve been on every diet regime known to mankind, only to fail miserably at all of them. Nevertheless, this diet aid has been an exception..
Simple list, nothing processed-any animal product except the milk part of dairy and any vegetable that is not a seed, grain, fruit or root. No artificial sweeteners or seed oils, spices that are not rubs are mostly ok as are coffee and tea

I do t understand how its possible to est a low carb diet and be full…I mean how many meals can you eat in a day if you’re restricted?? Everything has carbs xl say you want to restrict yourself to 50 carbs a day, how many satisfying meals can you eat?? I have been trying to eat low carb xl I am always hungry though…I eat at least 3 meals a day and snack in between…how can I do that without going over 50 carbs a day and not be as hungry?? I try to stay at 50…but no more than 90
If you eat low fat and low carb, you will end up binging on carbs. This just an attempt to dress up the failed low fat diet as something different.

I just found out your channel, and I’m so glad I did. I also have PCOS and it’s been a nightmare so far. Last year I was achieving my fitness goals, I lost weight and gained muscle, I was really happy with my results until I started to take some pills in order to decrease the symptoms (the worst decision I’ve ever taken) I gained a lot of weight, almost 20 pounds and even though I’ve been eating healthy and exercising almost everyday, I don’t see any result, in fact I think I’m getting fatter. I stopped taking the pill three months ago. I hadn’t realized that they were the cause of this until I talked to my doctor. I totally understand what you went throw, I get really angry because sometimes I’m craving carbs, but then again I remember all the food I can’t eat. Nevertheless, You’ve become an inspiration to me as you motivate others to become better and achieve their goals. It would be useful If you could make a video about the food we should avoid. I look forward for your answer.
Yeah, I too am guilty of jumping from diet plan to others as well, I think that I need to have tested every single weight-loss system that was available, but eventually not one of them made it easier for me to lose and keep the weight off. I ended up trying for the very last time using the Fenoboci Diet Plan simply because my cooworker who told me incredible things about it and so far to date I’ve successfully lost 15 lbs in 3 weeks!
I was almost on board until I saw that hand reaching for the burger wrapped in lettuce. Nope. no. I mean really, I would just give up burgers before I would replace the bun (which I guess is an option) Does it have to be all or nothing can I just eat a lower-carb diet and benefit without cutting so many out, and still have bread a couple of times a week?
Unless you go to parties several times a week, I don’t see the problem. Eating carbs once in a while is not going to kill you.
Cutting out grains constipates me instantly and I love toast…
Nothing is worse than being on a low carb diet and being deathly allergic to all nuts. It makes snacking so much more difficult.

It would have been much better if I learned this unique “Yamzοkο Weebly” (Google it) a few years back. For 3 weeks of utilizing the plans, I burned TWELVE lbs Obviously I work out once or twice weekly, and also eat right. The results shown to me is incredible. Without a doubt, this plan is important and I also do hope this would give good results to you too since it did to me..
I hate how people are judging about the low carb diet without knowing anything about pcos and insulin resistence. Inform yourself about it before saying how great carbs are. They might be for someone who is healthy but with pcos it’s a lot more complicated than that! Stop judging!
