I was searching for a warm up video, I disliked this one because music had singing in it which over rides instructors voice! maybe you should use low background music!! sorry
Great video. Just starting my fitness lifestyle and this video helped, looked simple but I got a real sweat going.
Does she say squeeze your abs or squeeze your ribs. I think the lovely accent is confusing me
Beautifully cued, encouraging natural free movement in a safe effective way. I wish I could experience your class!
perfect!can please someone name these exercises for me??thank you!
I love, love, love all your videos. You are by far and away the best on You Tube, having tried many, many other pilates videos, yours are clear, well paced, informative and work. The difference in my constant back pain after 3 months of doing your videos is amazing, I’m so much more aware of my body, my core and how it supports my back and that is all thanks to you.
Look forward to more videos.
Love your videos I have chronic Sciatica and your exorcised are great for me thank-you so much
I’ve been wanting a good way to energise my body when I wake up, and this is perfect. I like your calm voice and gentle instructions to help me breathe correctly. Looking forward to more videos!
Thanks Rachel. I’ve just started to do pilates in lockdown and this is a great introduction to it.
This is Bev and I’ve been missing my Pilates classes due to our gym being shut down because of the coronavirus. Just wanted to give you a quick thank you and thumbs up for the warmup video. I am deeply grateful.
A fantastic stretch! You have a new FAN in Oakland California. This is Victor thank you very much!!!!
Love this warmup. Sarah is an amazing professor and instructor. I’ve taken many of Sarah’s classes and learn something new every time. If you’re looking to learn Pilates, keep following Sarah and you’ll go far!:)WE LOVE SARAH
I have been searching for a video like this for months and finally found it. Thank you!!
What a great way to kick off the day! It’s a fabulous starting point and then add some of your other sequences when you feel ready! thanks Rachel! Gonna try the night time one when I get organised!
So how many people dress like Rachel now? Pretty leggings, matching tank, lol. This was a nice one. I’m always surprised at how strenuous these “shorties” can be when you are feeling tired. Not complaining.
Hi, have you heard of Bellyfattack? Just search on Google. There you will find a beneficial free video presentation by a recognised medical professional revealing how you can eliminate weight. It made it possible for Samuel to reduce his belly fat. Just give it a try. Perhaps it will help you out also…
I’ve started doing this often in the morning. Makes me feel like my body is awake for the day! Thank you:)
There are so many people here in youtube who think that they are teaching Pilates….but no. You are teaching Pilates for sure. Thanks for the video.
Thanks so much for the Pilates workouts Marischa! This was my first time doing a Pilates workout. I am trying to incorporate more flexibility and balance work into my routines due to my age and this totally fits the bill!
finding you first through this video. love the workout! i hope i can make it a routine.
Thank you so much! I have back & knee issues. This workout is perfect for me!
Спасибо! Я очень рада, что нашла ваш канал! Параллельно с занятиями осваиваю английский язык!))
These are amazing! This is really unique to your channel, so creative, searched for standing pilates hiit but you are one of the best in my opinion, for my personal journey. Awesome workouts. And thank you for being so generous. You’re a gem!
This was a really nice, pleasant little routine to do on a rainy afternoon under a quarantine situation in NY! Thanks for lifting my afternoon and my mood!
Thank you very much Rachel, this is an excellent way to start my day. Love from the Netherlands
I’m working my way through your exercises to get some variety and really enjoying them all. They have become part of my daily routine now. Thank you so much.
You speak so beautifully, i love your accent ❤️ thank you for a wonderful workout!
I rediscovered Pilates after my doctor recommended it for a back injury. It’s perfect for me. Thank you for sharing.
beautiful morning flowsharing to Ashford Fitness Society on fbty;)
I agree with all that Lucy Stiles has said. I have a ballet background and love your movements which really help with easing out my very old bones at any time in the day. I follow several of your standing exercises and particularly like the ones filmed in Madeira. Thank you.
Nice dear… Please post some more videos of low impact cardio workouts
I use these videos to work out the kinks of being at my computer all day long. I combine them when I feel I am losing motivation and need a good stretch, and before bed, too.
Great work out! Exactly what i need being and office worker. Thank you so much!
Thank you Rachel, really enjoy your workout and the explanation that goes with it. Keep it up!
good morning Marischa. This seems like a great way to relieve stress. May try this later today. Have a great day.
Love this am routine. Do you have an evening, before bed routine?
This is a nice cheery and short stretch workout, perfect for mid-afternoon break from sitting down in front of computer in lockdown!
Good as get clear instructions i do keep fit as virus lockdown
Thank you for your wonderfully helpful and great descriptive Pilates exercises! I have done about ten of your different videos and have loved every one of them! Please keep them coming! I find I need to do two or three of them to really feel like I’ve had a workout.
The Girl with the Pilates Mat is fabulous! Thank you for making these videos available to people all over the globe.
Rachel, you have a fan club in Cape Town. We are under severe lock down so a number of us say ‘good morning ‘ by way of this class, followed by the sessions of our choice. Thank you. Jeanne
Hi Rachel, many thanks for this and the other standing workouts which are a really great way to start the day whilst we are self isolating. They are about the right length of time and difficulty. I don’t know how long it takes to prepare one of these but I wondered if you could do one to include exercises for creaky knees? I have greatly benefited from Pilates to strengthen the muscles to support the knees but these have been done on a reformer which is not possible at the moment!
Great! Am adding this to my daily routine.
So nice to see the Madeira background on a rainy day ❣️
I love this workout just what’s needed to start the day. Will keep doing it when we are not in Lock Down. Thank you for all your classes they are great fun.
This is a well thought out warm-up, with excellent cueing and explanations. Please don’t take to heart the criticisms of the person who said this is boring. I think it’s quite the opposite.
I’ve done two of this wonderful lady workouts, and I liked the fact that her workouts are simple, yet effective! I will continue to do this lady workouts! Please keep posting this wonderful lady workouts!
Hi Rachel,
Totally love your videos. Been working with beginner exercises and I honestly feel very good after doing them. For me, what makes your videos stand out from the hundreds of others on YouTube is the calm and easy way in which you explain the movements and the breathing patterns that go with them. Simply fabulous! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and skills. I would really love to attend one of your sessions when I visit London!
Could I make a request? My physiotherapist has advised that I build shoulder strength to avoid my frequent shoulder and neck pain. Could you please post a video on pilates exercises for it?
Also, the other day I was doing the workout you explained in your video “10 minute Pilates to build strength”. At the end of it, however, my wrists were hurting very bad. Are there any stretches/exercises I could do to avoid/minimise the pain?
Thanks!
Loved this video…great for a quick energizing stretch over lunch hour at work. Thank you♀️
DEAR SARAH THANK YOU FOR YOU RESPONSE TO MY COMMENT THREE MONTHS AGO. ON REFLECTION MAYBE I WAS TOO HARSH WITH MY COMMENTS, IT WAS NOT INTENDED TO CAUSE ANY HURT TOWARDS YOURSELF AND THEREFORE I WOULD LIKE TO APOLOGISE. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR FUTURE I WISH YOU EVERY SUCCESS, MY WARMEST REGARDS chiselthemiddle x
Very Boring my goodness I nearly fell asleep. Who is your target market, lift the spirit more
Excellent! I just completed this and I’m adding it to my favorite workouts. I like the fact that it’s all standing. I found the “calf raises and reach” a little challenging, but it’s all good. Thank you, Marischa!
just loved it something easy to do without too much exertion. thankyou.
Perfect short routine to WAKE ME UP!!! Merciii Merciii!!!
I want you to know i use this film almost for every day work-out. It’s really helping me cause i can’t do everything but this is soft enough for me to do. Thanks!
I loved this video! Your instructions were excellent!! I’m a person who frequently forgets to breath when I exercise, or I hold/strain my breath during a tough move. Unlike other videos, where they demonstrate the breathing in the beginning, and then assume you’ll continue on your own you constantly instruct in the breathing throughout!! Thanks for that!!! So glad I found this channel!!
Rachel I started to make this exercise and loved it. Thanks a lot. Only one thing, it would be very nice to put some soft music at background:) Thanks again. cheers.
I have been doing Pilates / body balance for number of years, It is great to start the day with a wake up routine for the body and mind during lockdown, I also continue through the day. Thank you i will continue to workout with you everyday.
This was nice and doable in the morning. I can’t do much more than this because my mind and body are not quite connected yet so early. LOL!
I have taken Pilates for 20 years! I am now 68 and still moving well. I truly miss my sessions at the studio since the Covid crisis. I found your channel when searching for online Pilates. I love these workouts! Easy to follow! thanks so much!
This is my FAVORITE Pilates workout. It’s put together so well and flows seamlessly. I added it to my workout routines and do it at least once a week sometimes twice along with many other workouts including yours. Please do another Pilates workout. I have others on my playlists but always come back to this one!:)
as i played this video, suddently i was looking at my desktop to close other players but i didnt found any, i was confused! where is the song playing from then? the songs playing in your video is by Axiom of choice, “Greener Than God’s Dream” is the song’s name, it was really unexpected! the song is persian, i’m from iran and this band is one of my favorites. it was really pleasing to listen to the song while doing the warmup with your video. the song fits your gentle rhythm well. thanks for this wonderful experience
I too love these videos, thank you, Rachel. Am stuck in isolation in Western Australia and your videos are keeping me going!
SALLAMATT Thank you I appreciate having a very good teacher with a cute Pinoy accent. I am a lucky man. I was raised in a Philippine environment I could not think of a better cultural upbringing. I looK forward to your next teaching

All the way from Long Island New York USA, thank you for these standing Pilates classes! I have titanium rods in my back, and arthritis, these classes have helped me greatly. I do them about 4 days a week, and if I miss a day I do it before bed. Thank you, stay safe.
Thanks so much for this video. I wanted a pilates routine and felt like if I got on the floor I would not get up due to laziness! I’m up and energized for the activities of the day. Peace n blessings. All the best! Looking forward to next work out
Thank you so much. was very relaxing and stretchy for a pre workout prep.
Great start for my mourning and my back feels much better. Greetings from Oregon USA
I am really enjoying learning about pilates with you. What are the best videos to move onto after the beginners classes? I tried an intermediate video but it felt like a real step up?
Thanks for watching, friends! How did you feel after you finished the workout? Comment below:)
I love this routine it helps me get through the day so thank you Rachel
Just started my first working day back after lockdown with this wake up exercise. I aim to do one short one each morning
This was the first of your videos I found. Now I have a selection of your standing pilates videos so I can mix it up a bit every day. Thank you so much for your lovely clear instructions
Thank you so much for this video! It’s just what I needed to start the day in a good way ☀️
I am so pleased to have found your videos, I love Pilates and after moving to France have found it difficult to find a quality class. You are my savior and love your variety of classes enabling me to mix and match your classes depending on my needs. Thank you I can not recommend you enough.
Yes I agree with Claire park, I too have found your videos the best. My hip has given me no pain since I’ve found you thanks again JW
I’m 68 and have been doing Pilates for 9 years. I love your videos and do them throughout the day. I may end up getting through this pandemic in better shape than I was before it started! Thank you so much.
Awesome simple workout. Been doing pilates for 6 years now, but never did it standing. Thanks for sharing, it is great!
This was so utterly pleasant! And a stress reliever while under quarantine in NY!! I also like your constant reminders to breathe!!
I loved it are you going to make more standing Pilates workouts?
Hello Rachel. I just discovered your videos and it is exactly for me, not too hard and can add to my routine during the lockdown. Thanks for sharing. Greetings from Turkey/Istanbul
Thank you, this is a great addition to my Bone Builders Class. I love how it keeps me limber and feeling fluid in the joints.
I really really like this session, it is well thought out and can be incorporated into a full Pilates session, instruction is clear, and the pace is just right, I enjoy the flow from one posture to the next. Very nice work.
I’ve been using this morning video for a wee while now especially when I’m feeling stiff and it always gets my body on the right track, must make time to do it everyday it really helps thank you
I love this workout. I am recovering from a neck injury.
Thank you.
This is a great video for anywhere just need a place to stand. It doesn’t feel like ten minutes, the time flies by because the movements are so comfortable and energizing
I am doing my Erasmus in Poland/Kraków and I had a class, it’s Pilates. I have to make a homework and I did from your video. Thank you so much ♥️
Just done this for the first time and it is going to be a new routine. Not too hard but really effective.
I’m going to try this one out. I really love your workout videos especially the low impact ones. They have changed my life!!!
Great help in lockdown situation. Finding this really good.
Yes, I agree… The camera was set too close to the source. I shall remedy that next time I shoot a video. Thanks for your feedback:)
Great way to start the day! Thank you, really enjoyed the routine which I found easy to follow.
Great! I’m not a beginner but have got a lot of aches and pains. This is an excellent class and the advice is in line with the best teachers I have had. Thanks.
I have been doing a lot of Zumba mini trampolining for 4 years now, at various times I’ve had inflammation on different parts of my body. Last Saturday out of the blue I had a dreadful pain in my side and was unable to sit down without assistance, I took the usual medication paracetamol and ibuprofen until Tuesday when I had to see the doctor. He said I was doing the right thing taking pain killers along with certain exercises to stretch the muscle in my hip that’s been affected, I have come to realise along with these cardio work outs your body needs more care than just getting your heart rate up, although very important but at the moment I’m looking like I’ve been in an accident crippled in pain. I am even so sore I’m only doing the littlest of your clips ten minutes or so, frightened to get down on the floor in case I can’t get back up. I am nearly 60 but a fit sixty. Thank you I’m doing your videos every morning on the road to my recovery, I feel it will be something I will carry on with
Kind Regards Janice (Edinburgh Scotland)
Used as little extra this evening. Lots of creaks as my spring got such a good stretch. Definitely enjoying all the workouts!
As a very unfit person and a total pilates beginner Ive found this so energising in the morning. I do it mid morning as a break from sitting around homeworking. Thank you!
Great video! Thank you for doing this while you were vacationing.
omg! i love it. begining and ending stretching so improve, just one trying. thank you. <3
Just done this workout Rachel and it’s not morning but I really enjoyed it….thank you so much
