This guy is so full of shit, very outdated in his recommendations taking people back to 70’s and 80’s. Don’t trust or lessen to info he provides as he is extremely dated. Other doctors that specialize in specific supplements tell you information that is much better and accurate.
Coffee is overated. You could be drinking something that is beneficial for heart health like tea or hibiscus.
I don’t like this talk because it doesn’t talk about this. It’s a daily calorie and nutrient bank, you want to invest into it, you can only drink a certain amount a day, drink the green tea the benefits will be tenfold
The medications causes high cholesterol antidepressants definitely do that. Just have your blood tested when taking and after you don’t. You will find it is the medications and food additives and pesticides causing all these problems. We are healthiest when our body is alkaline. Only when we become acidic by these toxins can a disease live period!! Wake up it’s so simple to figure out.
Maybe he can listen to the science/research of the last decade by Fung, Lustig, Fettke, Feldman, Noakes, Taubes….too many to list all.

I do not eat from chinese restaurants anymore since 2012. This is garbage advice. My relatives and I have been following this for decades and gotten obese, uncontrollably hungry, and uncontrollably unable to stop eating. Many of my relatives got type 2 diabetes from following this advice. Going keto (20 or fewer grams of carbs per day) and fasting solved the problems.

Recent studies (not surveys, as were used before, where we know people under-report) using the doubly-labeled water method show that lightly active adult men and women require roughly 2500-3000 (+/-300) calories, respectively. Add 500 to those numbers for those under the age of 25, as they are still growing.

This channel has several videos about autoimmune disease but they’re quite old so I’m commenting on it here so more people will see it. In recent decades there have been more mysterious autoimmune and/or neurological conditions and doctors are baffled as to the cause. Well, something few doctors would even think of is mercury toxicity. I don’t mean from dietary sources but from liquid mercury and its vapor.
The reason I know about this is because as a kid I played with mercury from thermostats, it seemed fascinating. The problem with mercury is that it’s very easy to spill a drop, and when it hits a floor or carpet it breaks up into millions of tiny beads. I spilled a few drops around our apartment, which had shaggy carpet. We all got sick for a long time and developed various symptoms from it over the following years. My brother had knee pain like arthritis and my sister had to keep getting closer and closer to the TV because her vision was so blurry. I became very shy and also started stuttering, also never ate, I had anorexia pretty much, also a lot of anxiety and general mental illness. I didn’t connect any of that to the mercury because who knew the effects of mercury? There was no Internet in those days. My mother got the worst of it, I recall spilling some right next to her bed. She had neurological disorders her whole life after that and doctors couldn’t diagnose it, so she couldn’t get disability or anything.
It isn’t logical that a lot more people in recent decades have that kind of symptoms from a rash of neurological and autoimmune diseases naturally, like it’s a virus or something. It is logical however that after thermostats and fluorescent tubes came into wider use that more people would accidentally be poisoned by mercury vapor. How many fluorescent tubes or CFLs have you seen broken in your life? Probably plenty, you may even have broken a 4 foot tube just putting it in the garbage, or you may have broken a TV with a picture tube. You may have been in a place that had a mercury spill and not even know it, there’s no smell or anything. So anyway the point is that I think doctors should start looking more closely at the possibility of rather widespread mercury poisoning. The uptick in autism could also be related. Apparently the safest way to remove mercury from the body is with a combination of cilantro and chlorella, rather than any kind of blood chelation, which is quite dangerous. Mercury stays in the brain for decades, by the way, so it doesn’t need to have been last week that a person was exposed to have symptoms today.
Pretty OLD INFO. I went on the KETO LIFESTYLE & lowered my cholesterol by 155 points and triglycerides by half. I drink WHOLE CREAM & use KERRYGOLD BUTTER. I eliminated GLUTEN and use BONE BROTH, lot’s of garlic, soups, cabbagespinach, cheddar cheese, mushrooms, arugula, Pepper Pops ( hot peppers, cheese, wrapped in bacon ), just to mention a few foods. Seafood, beef , chewable foods like 1oz walnuts, good quality foods, filtered water, and supplements. I lost 55lbs painlessly, lowered hunger. I have thyroid disease & periodontal disease. I listen to my body. So much more to add, but long lectures keep me sedentary. Gotta get moving!
