And then after dinner you are going to spend 20 minutes cleaning up the kitchen.
they look a little like falafel balls, i’ll deff have to try this recipe!
That was not a couple of tablespoons of olive oil!!!!!!!!!!!
Great vid..can i swap regular egg for flaxseed egg? (Im not quite sure where to get flaxseed egg in my area). Also your lipstick is poppin. What brand & shade is it? Could u tell me the kind of laptop u use to edit your videos? All the best.
You shouldn’t feed bread to sucks, it’s bad for them and can harm ducklings growth. You should feed them uncooked oats and cooked rice, peas, sweetcorn, chopped lettuce or other greens or vegetable peels.
I added oregano and mint instead of cumin and curry (because that’s what I had at home) and they turned out delicious. Thank you very much!!
I love your recipes! And I love it that you include them in writting! So, I subscribed
Since this recipe is a bit bread-y.. have you guys tried seitan/vital wheat?
Hi! Yellow suits you very well. You look great. İt was yummy! Health in your hands. I wish you all the best
Could these veggieballs hold their shape in a soup or would they kind of crumble apart?
ok, my dudes, doNT miss using seitan (wheat glutten/protein). that is THE thing for meat substitute. the rest fades in comparison
that looks amazinggggg! i really struggle to find yummy vegan recipes that dont cost me a fortune to make however this looks relatively inexpensive.
i think im going to make this for dinner tomorrow night! but with a few slices of fried eggplant (aubergine) on the side lol.
I really do NOT understand whyyy you dont have more Subs. Most everything ive seen on your channel is original for the most part. OC you use some things that are and have been staples for years like the flax but you are very Creative and im soo glad ive found you here. Thanks for sharing your idea and twists. Love this Channel. Its sure to grow!!)
I just ordered your book from Amazon the other day. Doesn’t come until Feb. boo…lol. Is this recipe in the book? And is your homemade sausage in there too? Oh yeah, and just as a heads up, if you don’t put oil on the pasta, the sauce will stick to the pasta better. But I am pretty sure that if it is a really good quality yummy olive oil, it will taste very nice. Have a beautiful day. Namaste!
Jana I love your videos thank you! Just to mention you forgot the onion in your recipe list:-)
Learn the spanish word ALBÓNDIGAS and you’ll never need “meat” on your “meatballs” name…:D
I have been looking for a while for a recipe for veggie balls that would have the right texture, not too dry, not too mushy. These came out PERFECT . Muchas gracias!!
So glad to have found this!!! Thank you so much!! Bought premade vegan meatballs, but the sodium content was truly 500 mg!! This is going to be the best meal yet!!!
If that guy in Sea Shepherd shirt comes to the Faroe Islands this summer he will probably en up in jail og pay 4000$ lol
Are the cashew nuts essential in this recipe, I have everything else at home but them:/
Made these tonight I think I messed up? I cooked the lentils then made meatballs immediately after. Looks like yours was cooked then set aside for awhile. Mines was still really mushy too added in ALOT Of breadcrumb it helped a little but not a whole lot what canon do to make it better???
I’m not familiar with Lentils. Do they come in canned form and if so do you heat them before you put them in the food processor? Or do they go straight from the can to the food processor.
That parm recipe is killer!
Meatballs are great too, but imo it works a little better as a crumble or maybe tiny meatballs so there is more hardened/crispy exterior. At least for how mine turned out which was a little mushy on the inside.
Mixed up like a goulash w lots of parm could surely fool some meat eaters….fwtw
incase anybody is looking for those brilliance containers…check your Costco. $19 for a good sized set.:) I use the large one to freeze bananas, or keep rice/potatoes in the fridge.
I personally would have browned them in some oil after you formed them into balls. I also would love to brown them so the sides get caramelization and then cover them in Italian tomato sauce…add mozzarella cheese and have that in a sandwich. Today I made fresh pasta filled with like ricotta cheese that I made myself didn’t buy from store and covered in tomato sauce and baked.
Wow! I like it! Going to make it. Aso soon as I get a food processor!Lentils are super! I found a recipe at New Year’s called Lucky Lentils and it is delicious. You can find the recipe at The Genius Kitchen along with recipe for Abundance: Honey Oranges!
I’ve watched a bunch of vegan recipes and noticed about 99% of them are women. And then I realized. Women care about animals, maintaining a healthy body, etc. But men, slaughter them a cow and they’ll eat it raw if it tasted good enough. It’s just depressing, why can’t men care more. But whatever, it’s the world we live in.
Dude what is coconut cream? Like where do I get it? Or how do I make it?
How do you spel cyum cyum want to find out whats its called in swedish ✌️
I just have to say, I made this two nights ago for my two picky eater daughters, 4 and 1, and they loved it! Thank you for another great recipe. I halfed the chili flakes though, so it wouldn’t be too Spicy for them.
Made the lentil balls for lunch today, myself and my daughter loved it!
Hi SweetpotatoSoul,
What brand of foodprocessor do you use and are you happy with it? I’m looking to buy one but there are so many of them and I don’t really know what I have to look out for:)
Thanks!
My mom makes this recipe very often and I love it, very delicious
Hi Jana, the ToFeta was delicious. I made a Greek Salad with it. Yummy and just added it to a regular salad. So good. Thanks for the recipe. ❤️
I 90% love this recipe You really shouldn’t put olive oil on pasta because, just as it will stop the pasta from sticking to itself, it will also stop the pasta from holding onto the sauce.
part of the beauty of pasta is that it will absorb a little sauce and give a little bit of a thick and satiating quality to your dish.
The best thing to do is just add some salt to your pasta, just stir the pasta a little while cooking and use a suitable pan (it’s gonna be annoying if your pan is too small) and a fair bit of water. make sure the water is boiling before you add your pasta ✌
Long as you’re paying attention to your diet plan as a vegetarian including fruits there is nothing wrong with it in fact it’s a healthier way to eat it always has been that’s a lot healthier than eating animals who have been stuck in urinating and passing Scott on to every animal around it and living in it how healthy do you think that animal will be
Always a great pleasure to follow your amazing video recipes. Thank you so much for the inspiration:)
want to double check, can i use a blender? don’t have a food processor:)
I must admit I’m not a Vegan. I just watched this video because you are so darn beautiful. Being spaghetti and meatballs is my favorite meal I became more intrigued. I am a little fuzzy on some of the ingredients, for example; you said some type of “egg” when making the meatballs. I am unfamilar with this. Is this something you premade or bought in a store? I guess if I had been watching your videos all along I would have known what it is but for someone new to the site it’s somewhat had to follow along and that’s ashame because I really am interested in trying this recipe. One because, I’m moving onto a boat soon and most Vegan foods like lentils, dried beans, rice and what not can be stored easily without refrigeration and for long periods of time. This ideal for someone who wants to travel on o boat. Let’s face it, you can only store so many steak in one freezer. If you down in the islands food is quite expensive, so packing out a lot of dried foods that stores easily makes a great deal of sense and saves money too! So I’ll be watching a lot more of your videos. Do you publish a cookbook either printed or digital? Thanks for being so good looking that I discovered something new and helpful!!
Could I possibly freeze them so I can make a huge batch and eat some whenever I feel like?
“When you’re down to your fingertips you just eat the rest.” I have that same philosophy XD Awesome collab between the guys from TheHappyPear and Tim Shieff!
Brilliant!! May I ask what food processor you use? I’m in the market
love your receipes & your energy! thank you
i cant get along with nutrional yeast though. it feels so not healthy & unnatural to my system….can you suggest something else??
much appreciated
Definitely will be trying this recipe but can I just say….I’m in love with t-shirt in this video! I need details! lol
Got here from reddit. This is so awesome, thank you for sharing! Subbed!
Looks delicious! I’ve been looking for a vegan meatball recipe I’m going to have to try this!
Being a vegan, what brand of pasta you use as most pasta’s are made using egg!
Looks Yummy!!! Your Videos are fantastic, looking forward to more such videos. I have the bell icon pressed.
I am going to try these in the next day or two…they look DElICIOUS!!!
Why nutritional yeast? Ughh always kills the recipe for me! But looking tasty. Will have to try without!!
I’m not even vegan and that looks divine! Totally going to make this! Question: for flax egg, does the seed need to be ground? Also, is there an alternative to bread crumbs?
The two guys on the left should never be on camera. Ever. The guy on the right seems cool. It’s food. Relax.
You have So many delicious ideas of vegan cooking on your channel, I love every one!!! I will be preparing this meal for my husband on my day off, this Friday, April 2018!!! Awesome!!!!
Awesome collab guys, love you all. Please do a vegan cookbook together. 😉 I would be the first to buy a few of them and give them to all my friends.
I know this is an unrelated question to this video. But can someone tell me the what on the hair twist extensions please? Oh I lived!!
Someone could help me? I’m brazilian, and i did not understand the ingredient tha he add after the couscous. who nows?
Did you cook the lentils before you put it in the processor?
nice recipe =) but why call it vegetarian “meat”balls? whay not cuzcuz-falafel or something like that?
Beautiful recipe!! I love you videod! Keep up the great work
Can get gluten free spaghetti noodles at most grocery stores
I would really like to try this, but couldn’t make out what the first ingredient is. Could you guys spell it out for me?
parent company of bertolli is ConAgra who makes food under these brands: general mills, marie calender, sarah lee. they support animal slaughter. how can you take sponsorship from them?
Trying to transition into veganism but question? Why does it seem like just abt 90% of vegan recipes esp “meat”) use the nutritional yeast??
i wouldnt call it vegetarian meatballs, more like just balls which is good enough imo. vegetarian food always trying to substitute meat man so annoying, soja is good enough for what it is. i like meat but i also like just soja or saitan, its not a substitute imo its just sth own:)
I am making this in about an hour:) looking forward to see how it goes
Hey. I tried to find the link for this salad dressing, but no luck. Please help
Those guys can try and be a little bit more hygienic, the food processor does not look very appetizing. I am a fan but still, a little effort can make a difference.:)
You read through the comments and it’s a joke.
Vegans give themself the “bad” vibe by their ridiculous comments.
EXCELLENT & FUN RECIPE
FOR VEGETARIAN “MEATBALLS”
I just made the lentil meatballs and I love them! My non-vegan friend was quite surprised and she enjoyed them a lot.
Instead of spices mentioned in the video( cause I don’t have them around), I combined chili powder, papryka powder and dry Basil with green lentils.(other ingredients are same as in the video).
Without tomato sauce or canned tomato I just roughly blend barbecue sauce, mayo, and ginger water together in haste. These meatless meatballs can have a variety of combination;) thank you for sharing<3
Okay, I just made this, and it is delicious!! But, next time I will add 1-2 TB of shoyu sauce to give it a more savory flavor, because I didn’t add enough salt like the recipe said. However, the meatballs would make a great vegan burger too!! Girl, keep’m coming!!:)
I may try making that dish as I have never made any Turkish dish before. I like lentils very much and make red or green lentil soup. Instead of using red lentils could you substitute for green lentils. I’m guessing you can’t because green or brown lentils are harder. Also as I don’t have any curry powder, but I do have garam masala powder or turmeric can that substitute for curry powder? If I can’t modify your recipe slightly I will buy the curry powder. I’m not sure if I can get capsicum (pepper) paste, but I will check my local Indian store as there is no Turkish store near where I live. I have a further question regarding nuts. I am very interested in visiting a walnut and hazelnut orchard in Turkey, however, I will have a problem communicating if I go to a regional area as I don’t speak Turkish. Do you know of any agricultural tours but the Turkish Government or private companies that cover nut growing in Turkey. And a final question concerns when I make baklava is it best at the end to pour hot sugar/honey syrup on the cool pastry or do you let the syrup cool down and pour it on the warm baklava. Thankyou, I find your youtube very informative. I will be in Turkey towards the end of May 2020.
These are great, taste just like the real thing. Authentic sauce as well.
Those guys are annoying. Plus these are just gluten balls. Fuck this channel
Will the lentil meatballs disintegrate in the sauce? Is that why you didn’t add them to the sauce?
You are adorable.
And the food looks delicious. Can’t wait to make it.
Just turned vegan and love it. Thanks for the help!
I wanna hang out and cook with you three. This looks delicious!:)
Is the nutritional yeast really needed for the meat balls? Is there something else i could use or just leave it out?
I feel like calling PBS, The Cooking Channel Food Network or some station for you to get a show!!! LOL Not too many black women vegans on TV ( wait there aren’t any on TV, right?) Regardless of the regardless of the race you are good at what you do. Keep up the good work. Anywho, Looks so yummy
I am glad to have another recipe using couscous. I think couscous is such a fun and delicious food. Thanks for the new recipe!

Great recipe! Can someone tell me what’s the ingredient they add after the carrot at 1:27?
Many thanks in advance!
I love Your hair like this! cant wait to try this recipe
ok first of to all plant killing idiots called veggiefreaks. plants are living things to they have feelings to if u must eat something eat rocks. being vegan has nothing to do with being healthy. eating healthy has to do with being healthy morons.
and these veggieballs seems dry to me. might as making falafel.
I love Bertoli olive oil & garlic pasta sauce and Gardein meatless meat balls when I don’t have time to make my own.
Since going vegan in 2014 Swedish meatballs are one thing I miss… now I don’t have to!
Nice recipe, guys! I can’t wait to try it myself. Love your passion!
On a different note, I find quinoa flakes are another great way to bind while still maintaining a gluten free recipe.:)
You need your own cooking show on Food TV network… you do a excellent job.
Great recipe! I would use mushed chickpeas instead of bread though… I think it would be more nutritious:)
I make my own marinara which is so simple and it is a true marinara without herbs or wine or anything but tomatoes onions garlic and a little bit of olive oil salt and pepper and a small amount of sugar to balance the acidity. It smells and tastes like a fancy Italian restaurant I just love it!
Always happy to find a new vegan recipeeeee! Nice to find the happy pear, never seen any of your stuff before but I’m totally getting this. Tim just looks healthier and healthier as time goes on. I’ve gone from pescatarian to vegetarian in one year and gradually finding enough vegan recipes to start to transition to vegan now. I’m not going to go raw though. Yum yum, trying these ‘meatballs’ today. X
These are sooooo good!! I put a little too much cayenne pepper in my “meatballs” other than that, they’re delicious!
if these guys were any more enthusiastic they’d be Bible Camp youth workers
Thanks guys. I just made these meatballs and they are delicious.
Happy Pear + Tim Shieff preparing a vegan dish = best video on YouTube
Tim is the guy from that Facebook video in the gym haha also awesome chef!:D
Ofc the pears are cool too!
I”m confused. It looks like you are adding bread crumbs AND gluten free flour and I don’t know what else is still in the little dish…..looks like different bread crumbs. Are you just showing the same recipe 2 ways, with flour and with bread crumbs? also, there is no onion in your ingredients list. Please reply because I really want to make this.
Really tasty recipe!! These are great served on their own as a snack/side or party food with some sweet chilli dipping sauce. The lemon and sweet chilli flavours are great together.
Thank you again!!! Cant wait to make these veggie balls!!
My neighbour asked me what meat am cooking? I said no meat. The entire house had the meat smell. The taste was something else.Thank you Gena.Cooking is so much easer now since I found your channel
I made the green banana peel burger. When my friends tasted it they said it was fish. Now I cannot make enough.
I’m going to manifest a healthy chef bf lol. You guys rock:D
ok vegetarian meatballs is a lie… just call it something else… they are veggieballs… but why do you call them meatballs if there is no meat in it…
Chef Jana, I think I’m running the risk of piling on several kilos on account of your videos.
Are they meant to be gooey in the middle as mine are? YES!
But seriously, are they? Or have I made them wrong? Even though I followed their recipe
After preparation can you freeze or put in fridge for a later date?
I just made this and actually ended up eating the entire lot by myself, absolutely unreal.
LOOOL five minutes into the video I’m like wait are they twins omg…..
Is there a substitute for the ¾ cup vital wheat gluten flour? I don’t eat wheat products. Thank you for the recipe.
For any questions leave a comment! Enjoy this amazing dish!! ❤
I was just looking for a recipe to get rid of lentils I have, and found this wonderful channel
I need serious help. I tried to roast a zucchini and it got so mushy. I tried to make lentil burgers but it was so dry. sigh my kids won’t eat
What if i dont have walniuts? Will other nuts work? if so, which kind of nuts? Pine nuts?
Looks good… I love ur vids… been following you for a while now… keep up the good work and ideas for us…
I had never thought about adding spices to the lentil before. It’s a good idea. Thank you.
You vegans are the strangest lot. You don’t eat meat, you don’t want other people to eat meat because it’s “cruel,” you don’t want animals being killed to eat, but yet you eat “pretend” meat. So if you are REALLY against eating meat and LOVE your plant diet, you shouldn’t be pretending to eat meat because then you’re “pretending” to eat something from an animal. See how illogical that is? You shouldn’t be promoting ANYTHING similar to meat at ALL if you’re all into NO MEAT! Might as well make a big cow out of plants and then chop it up to eat. So in reality, you’re hypocrites because you’re promoting eating “meat” in another form. This is insanity!
Wow that looks so good. I’ll try make this and let you know. Thanks for the recipe!
