MyPlate, the current USDA nutrition visual, separates foods into five groups—fruits, vegetables, grains, dairy, and protein. The paleo diet eliminates two of these groups completely by not allowing any grains or dairy in the diet. There are also restrictions placed on the protein group. With the Mediterranean diet, which features lots of fresh fruits, vegetables, grains and seafood, moderation is key.
No food is off limits. With the paleo diet, fresh vegetables and in-season.Paleo has far and away the most “yes” responses with over 3700 and only 111 “no” votes. By comparison, the first place DASH diet has 112 yes votes (with 589 negative votes). No other diet has even 2500 yes responses.
We know that the Paleo diet reduces inflammation, improves digestive health, aids in weight loss, and promotes thyroid and hormone health.Once eaten in a hunter-gatherer society, a paleo menu consists of “very simple foods like meats, vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, and roots and tubers,” she says. On the other hand, you do not eat.Nutrient-rich fruits and vegetables are plentiful on the paleo and Whole30 diets.
That said, both diets limit your intake of grains, dairy, and legumes, which boast an array of beneficial.Summary Both paleo and keto diets have the potential to be healthy, but paleo is more likely to offer a wider variety of nutritious options. Keto can be difficult to maintain and may not be well. While paleo dieters are limited to specific fruits (mainly berries), DASH dieters are encouraged to enjoy many fruit options. Pulling in the number one spot on both the U.S.
News & World Report’s definitive Best Diets Overall and Best Diets for Healthy Eating lists, the DASH diet appears to be paleo’s top competitor.Paleo The Paleo diet eliminates processed foods and focuses on what our Paleolithic ancestors ate — mostly meat, plants, nuts, and seeds. It excludes dairy, grain products, and sugary processed foods. The Paleo diet uses proteins and healthy fats to support strong.
A paleo diet is rich in vegetables, fruits and nuts — all elements of a healthy diet. The primary difference between the paleo diet and other healthy diets is the absence of whole grains and legumes, which are considered good sources of fiber, vitamins and other nutrients.Another 2014 study in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition compared the effects of the Paleo plan to those of a standard low-fat diet on 70 obese, postmenopausal women. The #Paleo diet should be the top-ranked diet for weight loss. Here’s why. Tweet This. The experts reviewing the diets suggested that a Paleo diet is restrictive and difficult to follow.
However, these reviewers believe a Paleo diet to be primarily lean meat and vegetables, and nothing else, which is far from accurate.Paleo and ketogenic diets both feature moderate to high protein from animal foods. Followers of both diets restrict foods such as processed vegetable oils, grains, legumes and other refined carbs/sugars.
It is possible to follow both diets at the same time, i.e. a paleo diet that encourages nutritional ketosis. The Paleo Diet aims to mimic the eating patterns of our Paleolithic ancestors, who lived between 2.5 million and 10,000 years ago. The diet emphasizes.
The Paleo diet also eliminates dairy. Typically, a Keto diet is higher in fat than Paleo. Paleo is usually higher in carbs than the Keto. While the Paleo diet incorporates fruit and starchy vegetables, the Keto diet doesn’t because they’re too high in carbs.
Compared to Paleo, there is some overlap between the foods to include (meat, vegetables, and fats) and the foods to avoid (grains), but in the end Atkins is a diet for weight loss, while Paleo is a diet for health.

I lost 80 pounds on Paleo, in 8 months, its fantastic but they do have one thing wrong about starches, You are only allowed to eat sweet potatoes and not regular potatos because the carbs and starch in regular is much higher. Keep away from flour products and regular potato products…
Paleo is a good one. Plant based diet too. Mix the two and you are eating real foods real vitamins and minerals and macro nutrients and eating close to what humans were designed to eat. Minus the cooked food but close enough
Winner of a video, I been tryin to find out about “caveman paleolithic diet recipes” for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of Elijaarqey Paleo Smasher (just google it )? It is a good one off product for discovering some amazing paleo recipes without the hard work. Ive heard some decent things about it and my partner got amazing success with it.
When people in the developed world get very wealthy instead of giving money they don’t need to help starving children in Africa they go on fad diets like veganism and paleo in a vain attempt to extend their lives.
I have IBS. This diet did what no doctor could do for me in 3 years. And I lost weight.
Its all bollocks……You eat less but more frequently and you have a active lifestyle…….There is no easy fix
My paleo is raw meat, raw eggs, raw milk, raw butter and fruit occasionally
Hum, I kinda eat that way almost every day without realizing it’s Paleo diet. Maybe I can do this every day

So sad that Dr. Oz doesn’t really do much with nutrition anymore, it’s more about murders and stuff like that. I don’t even watch him anymore because if that.
Meat, vegetables, salads, and good fats! No carbs no sugars no dairy. With paleo I lost 22 pounds in 1 month. It my skin cleared up as well!
This type of diet has helped me thrive’ for the last 5 years.
Matt Embry has been eating this way for 22 years thriving.
Thank God’ to all of our ancestors who came before us.
Better to begin anywhere than continue eating a standard American diet.
For most people the basic grocery store is what we all can achieve.
For anyone wondering there is no legumes eaten.
No beans, peas, chickpeas, lentils, soybeans, or peanuts.
Hard shelled nuts only’ Lean meats, red less often, fish.
Vitamin D3 & K2 are essential. Inexpensive. Pervasively needed.
They are for Bone and Heart health. If on blood thinners,
Check with your doctor. Be well’
Bean is better option than potato, for limiting blood sugar spike
She needs to learn how to speak, by enunciating properly, which involves opening the jaw instead of slurring and errring her words. A pity really as some people really click on these things because they need advice.
What is the difference between a ketogenic diet and a low carb diet? One of you does keto and one does low carb. How do your diets differ?
Paleo Shmaleo. It gimmick gimmick gimmick! Everything has to have a name and a gimmick to be able to sell
“stuff” connected to it. Just eat what people are supposed to have always eaten—meat, eggs, vegetables, fruit, nuts and seeds with some grains. Make it organic, miniumly processed, with no preservatives, colors, flavors, enhancers, or anything artificial—and exercise! Our family of 2 parents and 8 children have happily and healthfully eaten this way for 41 years. No flues, colds, ear infections, asthma, and zero cavities essentially ever. Maybe 8-10 total small events altogether cough or runny nose type for the 10 of us for as long as all the kids were at home.
MOST PALEO PEOPLE WILL AGREE THAT YOU DON’T PUT A HUGE WHITE POTATO ON YOUR PLATE UNLESS YOU ARE VERY ACTIVE AND HAVE NO DIABETIC OR PREDIABETIC ISSUES. BUTTERNUT SQUASH, AND YAM IS A BETTER OPTION AS THEY ARE LOW GLYCEMIC.
i think people should go to paleo diet also with their other consumption. like buying things. meaning no need to buy many clothes and other stuff. go more paleo generally, folks:). and respect nature and other creatures around you. not only how you eat is important. its important to consume less in general. i mean people have gone so far from common sense in general. i mean, no disrespect, even looking at the crowd there. fake boobs, bottox lips, whitened teeth. people have lost common sense. not only food intake needs to be adjusted….
Potato spikes my insulin, which stops weight loss. The other veggies look fine, which is the same as keto, pretty much. Cheese is permitted on keto ha!
Foods to Avoid During the Paleo Diet
The list of foods prohibited in the Paleolithic diet is rather consistent. Avoid sweet products, dairy products, cereals and their derivatives such as flour, cakes and bread… Avoid, also, industrial products like soda, pre-prepared meals, and crisps and other appetizer biscuits. You will also have to eliminate from your diet all cooked or extracted oils, legumes such as beans, soybeans or chickpeas…
that potato is too big. The body will be pumping a lot of insulin.
It’s admirable to attempt to avoid all processed foods; but virtually impossible in our modern world, especially for those in large cities. It is also VERY expensive to consistently eat all organic produce, especially if you live in a large city. this is not an easy way to eat. I agree; eating processed foods in moderation or as little as possible is probably a good idea, though. PS: Cosmology, i.e. “The Big Bang Theory” is NOT how the universe formed:-)…and evolution is a farce. As our creator, it was God’s idea for mankind to take care our world and our bodies. Why disease and breakdown in the universe? The result of sinful choices by people.
Whole Foods Plant Based lifestyle is above all of these different types of diet. The China Study.
Diet is not long term sustainable, Paleo might work for couple months, but in long term nothing good will come out of it.
I’ve lost 253 lbs in 1 year on Keto, but now when I go out of ketosis and go back, I’m always experiencing the keto flu So now I will be transitioning to Paleo..
I think most carbs should be consumed by way of drinking beer.
Guys if you’ve ever heard of Cinderella Solutions you should definitely try it because my mom was able to lose weight really easily it was crazy! It’s apparently one of the most popular routines in the country at the moment as well. Here’s a link if you’re curious haha!:) http://bit.ly/EasierWeightLoss
Lectins can be almost entirely eliminated through normal cooking. We don’t eat raw beans or raw oatmeal; they are soaked and then cooked. Soaking almost entirely eliminates phytic acid. So why must we eliminate beans and grains?
Ive lost some weight on paleo. Im losing more inches in the waist faster than what Im seeing as weight loss on the scale. Big salads with a little cheese in it or chicken. Avacado is great in salads! I guess Ill have to give up cheese on paleo. Ill use the avacado instead.
Here come all the lazy fat slobs who complain they can’t do paleo because of “oh no mah carbs and Mac n cheese” I despise folks like the last one they reviewed a tweet on. Blatantly ignorant all because they wanna eat fries and fattening junk.
New to the diet this is also a good recipe book. https://tinyurl.com/ycajlr3n
Fish, salad, vegetables and fruit, plenty of water and some exercise. Lost 20 lbs in 5 weeks.
Increased the amounts, stabilized the weight and feel great.
thank you for spreading truth about the Paleo diet! My whole family has been on the Paleo diet for over 4 years and it is amazing for my health. I have lost so much weight and it has cured all of my health issues. I’ve raised my children up since they were babies the paleo way and they have no allergies in our extremely healthy.
Hi Mark, You were recommended by Dr Jack. I’m a vegetarian and one meal a day person and feel good for it. Since not eating meat I have felt so much better. Do you recommended the primal or Keto lifestyle for me who dose not want to eat meat any more? Also, I practice the Wim Hof Method every day (breathing exercises, cold therapy and meditation).
hmmm. i dont like vegetables, never have…this cant work for me:(
basically avoid processed foods like refined grains and sugar and you should be fine. that’s the one thing most of these diets have in common.
I was looking through a paleo magazine and was shocked to see how many processed bars and snacks were advertised as appropriate for the paleo diet. I am very interested in the different diets people choose and the reasons for their choices. But the paleo people really annoy me. And this guyhe does throw out a lot of facts that sound impressive but he is connecting them in an inaccurate way. I have found this to be typical of those espousing paleo.
I wish Dr Oz would stop devoting so many episodes to fad diets… paleo, keto, on n on. If this is the best you can do, perhaps a different tv show format is in order. I used to be a fan, I used to learn from your show. Now, you’re just like any other youtuber (but with a set and audience) making a living with confusing information with every different diet you showcase. It’s maddening… and disappointing. I think you can do better.
Its the biggest shill on TV! Oz, you should be ashamed of yourself. No integrity whatsoever.
My only issue is the no legumes. Legumes are a common denominator in healthy populations world wide, so I will continue to eat them
The woman in blue said that she feels there is a lot of rules:D What? May be it’s a set up question, doesn’t matter, but it’s just well balanced diet, nothing special. Yes, it’s not pizza for breakfast, cake for lunch and chips for dinner. No, there is no point of trying. You do it or you don’t and you stick to healthy lifestyle for life.
#M. M. paleo..eat what humans ate over 10,000 years ago..hmm,sounds good,if it wasn’t entirely supposition and fabrication. @Glinda Provis
We should stop talking about carbs here, much rather talk about starch
THE PALEO DIET WAS NEVER ABOUT ONLY EATING LARGE PORTIONS OF MEAT. IT WAS ABOUT EATING NATURAL FRESH FOODS THAT COME AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO MIMIC OUR HUNTER GATHERER ANCESTORS. IT EXCLUDES ALL GRAINS, LEGUMES AND DAIRY AND TABLE SUGAR. THE AMOUNT OF CARBOHYDRATE ONE EATS DEPENDS ON EACH INDIVIDUALS GOALS, HEALTH ISSUES AND ACTIVITY LEVEL. YOU ARE EATING FRESH MEAT, AND SEAFOOD, A WIDE VARIETY OF VEGETABLES, MOSTLY LOW SUGAR FRUITS, NUTS, SEEDS AND HEALTHY NATURAL FATS FROM AVOCADO, TALLOW, LARD, DUCK FAT ETC. SOME PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT DAIRY SENSITIVE USE BUTTER TOO. DO NOT FORGET IF YOU EAT LOW CARB YOU MAY NEED TO ADD EXTRA SODIUM TO YOUR DIET AND MAKE SURE YOU GET ADEQUATE POTASSIUM AND MAGNESIUM TOO..
I went from 164 lbs to 117 lbs
On paleo life style change.
No such thing as a good “diet”.
Thats a a limited concept’returning back to the old ways is inherent in its concept.
I lost to muchso added back a few high calorie foods.
Keto all the way! 85 lbs in 8 months! No blood sugar issues or fogheadedness I used to get from the starchy veggies.
Being from Louisiana I absolutely refuse to give up my red beans and rice. I will make adjustments in my macros especially since I practice OMAD.
What do they give cows to bulk up GRAIN so what do you not have for breakfast CEREAL
Keto-OMAD works the best. I lost 60 lbs in 7 months. It’s safe, healthy, and sustainable.
Isn’t a paleo diet basically eating what your ancestors ate before KFC came?
How can be a misconception about this diet that has never been?
Please people.. Can you just think about a #Vegan diet.. It’s so healthy and human.. You can save animals, yourself, planet..
Awesome so cool! Thanks for such an awesome video! And for inspiring me to make my own YouTube channel! Your the best lots of love from Canada

essentially: no grains/no complex carbs/no gluten, occasional starch from potatoe, 50% veggies, protein, and 1 serving of healthy fats like nuts/avacado/healthy plant oil (olive/avacado/flax seed). Replace things with: pasta-squash, rice-cauliflower, bread-lettuce leafs, etc.
Can you do a video on steroids? Ive been thinking about doing steroids for a while but im not completely aware of its possible side effects, and im not sure if its worth it or not.
Oh interesting I’ve never thought of switching between the two! Thanks!
This sounds great and all, but I’m curious about any downsides that they might have besides social embarrassment.

Hey Tanya I have tried Keto diet before but never the Paleo, very informative video
I always had this question… never knew the difference. Thanks for sharing!
Great video! Love that paleo is easier to do in a healthy way than keto.
Perfect video on the differences between the two diets! Very informative.
I was confused before… but you’ve made it such clearer! Thank you for breaking it down to help make the decision MUCH EASIER!
Why mansplain and not add anything when you could have let the expert you invited speak. I didn’t come away from this video learning anything new or interesting.
Before the invention of tools humans COULD NOT HUNT therefore they weren’t meant to.This means that meat was never meant to be in the human diet.Consuming meat (and dairy) is the beginning of heat attacks because of the large amount of saturated fat in those foods. Also meat needs to be cooked on a fire before it’s eaten.Fires cause air pollution. That’s ANOTHER thing that’s not good for humans.Only mercury free, fat free FISH can be eaten without cooking it.In the beginning when Humans lived in caves in Africa (before the invention of tools, fire and electricity) humans used to go out only at night (to avoid being eaten by a lion or tiger. They were afraid to go out in the daytime lest they be chased down and torn to pieces by a lion or tiger) they would go to their local stream or river, and grab a fish out of the water that was illuminated only by moonlight. They would put the fish in their mouth and eat it like a North American bear eats fish. The water was so clean back in those days it was safe to do that. Also since the fish was eaten right away there was no chance for the fish to spoil.Sushi is fish taken from clean water and kept fresh until it’s eaten.Under these circmstances it’s safe to eat raw fish. People AREN’T carnivores. We don’t have the same type of teeth as carnivores.A cat is a carnivore but a cat has VERY DIFFERENT teeth that humans do.Humans have teeth much like a HERBIVORE (a horse or cow). Therefore humans are supposed to eat a diet closer to what a horse or cow eats.Plus since we need a souce of iron, calcium, protein and vitamin D,we need to eat mercury free, fat free fish. Also we need to eat eggs. Therefore the ideal diet for human consumption contains:Mercury free fat free fish, fruits and vegetables nuts and seeds and eggs.
Have heard lots about Keto but not Paleo. Learned something new today. I am terrible at dieting!
I love how perfectly you explained the Difference between Keto and Paleo.
Great video on explaining the difference between Keto and Paleo diets! Cheers!
I love carbs! I don’t think I could take it out of my diet completely.
What do you think about https://tinyurl.com/ppaalleeoo?? For me is the best paleo diet!
Very beautiful images that you use in the video! Thank you for the great information.
Salt is an essential nutrient = sodium chloride. Those who do not seem to eat salt typically get it from consuming animals. The study of several years ago from McMaster Univ on salt which actually measured salt consumption instead of relying on people to report the amount of salt they consume clearly showed that death by all causes was lowest at TWICE the daily amount that the US government recommends. Even at higher levels of intake, the death rate was never as high as at the US gov recommended level. 102,000 people on several continents. The study is easy to find.
AND this was mostly processed salt. Natural trace mineral salts WITHOUT added chemicals (yes, all table salt lacks the other minerals and has added chemicals) like Himalayan or Redmond natural trace mineral salt (or sea salt, but some minerals are lost in the drying and the seas are now all polluted) is even more beneficial.
Milk may not be for everyone but there is NO need for humans to produce lactase to digest milk IF those humans consume ‘fresh squeezed’ milk that has not been industrially processed. Lactase is naturally present in the milk.
Also, fermented milk products, which happens naturally when fresh squeezed milk is left alone in a container for awhile, contains little or no lactose as naturally occurring bacteria digest the lactose.
In addition to destroying the lactase, the industrial processing changes cow milk in many ways:
Beneficial bacteria are killed, aka ‘probiotics’. The milk we buy will naturally form yogurt simply by putting the unopened jar in a place where it will reach and maintain the right temperature for the right length of time!
Fat content is reduced to meet the minimum standard for ‘whole’ milk of 3.25% butterfat. Yet traditional breeds of cattle produce milk around 5% and even higher (the milk of the Masai cattle reportedly produce milk around 8% butterfat). Even American Hostiens on a high foraged diet (‘grassfed’) produce 4% milk.
The fat globules are artificially reduced in size, to prevent the butterfat from separating, a process called ‘homogenization’, so people who don’t want the cream/butterfat on top don’t have to shake the jug.
The temperatures of ‘flash pasteurization’ are said to change the proteins in milk, most notably the casein. Since all the negative research was done on industrially processed milk (not truly fresh or naturally traditionally processed milk products) this may be the problem, rather than the casein itself.
Vitamin content is reduced in processed milk, as the heat treatment eliminates virtually all the Vit C and reduces or destroys much of the other vitamin contentD, K, etc.
Immune factors present in milk are destroyed by the pasteurization.
Also, cattle from industrial-style facilities do not produce the amount of Omega 3s that cattle managed on an all forage diet do. Dr. Paul Mason has pointed out that grassfed meats and products from the dairy contain sufficient Omega 3s that consuming (mostly unsustainably harvested) fish, which are often contaminated with mercury and other toxins, unecessary.
(near the end of the presentation) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUY_SDhxf4k
Cows milk is not the only kind of milk humans around the world consume today. As my other comment points out, 9 other species are currently supplying milk to humans in a symbiotic relationship. Issues with cows milk the speaker brings up may not apply to ‘unfooled around with’ milk or the milk of other species.
Let’s remember MILK IS THE ONLY FOOD WE CONSUME THAT WAS PRODUCED TO BE A FOOD. And a food for mammals, which we are.
Of course, every mammal starts life eating only milk, including humans. Other species stop consuming it because they can no longer obtain it except predators. (Cattle and many other large herbivores continue to nurse through their first year, until shortly before the new young arrive the following year. Species like elephants and whales nurse even longer.)
Yea this guy looks healthy………..I could hear his blood trying to pump around from here! Typical meat eater soon be dead which will please a few poor cows, Keep eating meat fatty!
Fantastic Stuff. Keep Working Hard! Also, I have some stuff like this.
Explained? Nope, I now have an idea of the basics but still don’t know what to eat and what to avoid… 😉 We must eat veg, but no beans and no potatoes and no chillis…???
i like this diet doctor guy. he always gets right to the point when other are beating around the bush talking about small benefits like acne. in other videos too. diet doctor is really trying to get the good info out there and i really appreciate that!!
The theory of evolution is not science and when you apply it to other theories the whole thing goes down the tubes. Paleo doesn’t need the theory of evolution. The exact number of years that we’ve been eating a particular thing is irrelevant. It could be 50 years. If it worked it worked. Today’s diet doesn’t work. Furthermore, every continent had thousands of separate tribes. It’s foolish to think that we were all eating the same thing.
i can’t wait to start my paleo journey this monday! i recently discovered that i’m sensitive to gluten and many of the unnecessary additives and preservatives in pre-packaged and processed foods so switching to paleo just made the most sense. i’m doing lots of grocery shopping and meal planning this weekend and i cannot wait! wish me luck!
Biology dont make sense without the idea of a creator of the creations. LOL this guy is funny.
thanks, that was super fantasticaly awesome! these two people are super groovy amazing, and the person reading this is really cool and have a wonderful life, Jesus loves ya
If we r going to base our understanding of nutrition on Evolutionary ideals then wouldn’t it be just as valid to consider our understanding of nutrition on Creationism too. I mean, it’s mentioned in the Bible very clearly that man and woman were created perfect and they were given every tree and seed to eat. Dominion over animals yes, but not to eat and kill them. Can someone argue both points of these two opposing ideals? I certainly would like to know how each of these systems of eating have positive results on many people. The China experiment showed positive health advantages to eating a vegan diet and there are positive results to eating the Paleo way. Anyone can loose weight with various means, but the question at hand is “nutrition”. One can argue that after Adam and Eve were banished from there perfect existence, they had to work and eat from what they produced. God supplied the animal products for them to eat bc he established with them, what not to eat. So in a way, Gods’ original plan was abandoned due to Adam and Eve leaving their perfect environment. It this is so then Paleo has more validity than Veganism I suppose?
A white baked potato on paleo? I’ve never seen that on paleo.
33:33 Hmmm. My niece has been a vegetarian her whole life, and completed a medicine degree and is now an anaesthetist. One of my best friend’s two kids have been vegetarian their whole lives. They are two of the brightest kids I know. And they look amazing too. Glowing with health.
I did not go on a low-carb ketogenic diet for weight loss. I went on it because I saw a miraculous Improvement in a friend with ulcerative colitis about to have a total colectomy. That’s no longer being considered. It helped my lupus tremendously and the mental Clarity I developed I hadn’t had for years. My problem is trying to hold onto my weight! don’t knock it if you haven’t tried it!
doctor andreas should do ASMR his voice is perfect
Don’t kill me please:)
Paleo diet is great! I’ve lost weight and I feel amazing now and I only followed this cookbook derpy.me/WRBgC really happy I found it.
the extremely popular diet known as the Paleo Diet!
http://bit.do/Paleo-Diet-warn must see
Except that the World Health Organization has classified red meat a a probable carcinogen for humans. Also, because humans did something in the past doesn’t mean it is the best thing to do now. We lived in caves in the past, but who would want to live in a cave nowadays?
Why does the interviewer keep talking about evolution? Don’t that contradict trying to back to the caveman diet?
Omg so dumb I hate diets never mind I’ll just go back to eating everything I want!
shouldn’t the evolutionary basis of the diet be what we as a now living species adapted to eat and not what our paleolithic ancestors were adapted to eat? how similar is our digestive system to theirs? with agriculture development we did evolve so as to process farmed products, we adapted to processing dairy by evolving gene variants that coded for the persistence of lactase into adulthood, for example. And lastly, why do we even want to eat like those from the Paleo era? did they live longer/healthier than we do especially if we are following the so not liked by the professor My Plate? doubtful.
Living like our ancestors means we gotta get rid of Windows 7, 8, 10 and install Windows 95
The Paleo diet is actually one of the #healthiest way you can eat because it is the ONLY nutritional approach that works with your genetics to help you stay lean, strong and energetic! Research in biology, biochemistry show this http://a8e5aaqeq0ydoz7nn9flp8h5fe.hop.clickbank.net/
If you start a Paleo diet you should also start reading up on logic…
Im thinking fasting periods were routine historically, certainly not 3 meals a day! Frequency of meals might be more important, no?

I’ve used this http://3cdad866qcz4epehb9fkx5o8br.hop.clickbank.net/ Paleo guide, I figured id give it a try and ende up being pretty helpful. honestly the deals got me, they give you tons of informtion and more than 100 recipies so it pretty cool!!
Can i eat cottage cheese and yogurt with paleo diet,
Also is the cheat meal once a week?
The Vegans, and Vegetarians I know eat all kinds of processed, and garbage foods… Fake meat, Hummus, Pizza, Bread, Noodles, cookies, candy and Ice cream daily. They are under weight, and sickly
Where is he fat? I see no fat, I see a large framed man who looks great for his age! You can’t alter your basic bone structure
Yeah i agree that most meats now days are trash due to how it is raised
Hilarious video. Poor Loren. The bit where he’s scratching his eyes out talking about homocycsteine
Heya, The best success that I have ever had was with Red hot slim (i found it on google) Without a doubt the most incredible diet that I have ever tried.
want a paleo diet, step 1 go to grocery store, step 2 turn around and leave because nothing in the grocery store is paleo. Step 3 go to your nearest wilderness area, eat whatever you can find.
Hi, i have 04 questions…
1. Can i totally remove SALT…. will there be a side effect if we don’t have sodium in our body? Can the sodium in fish and shellfish be enough in Paleo Diet..?
2. How about spices like garlic, onion, ginger, pepper and the powder spices like turmeric, cinnamon, curry… are these spices allowed in Paleo Diet?
3. I am drinking water with honey and apple cider vinegar every morning when i wake up one hour before i took my breakfast… Do honey and apple cider vinegar allowed in Paleo diet?
4. Since Paleo diet is high in meat and egg, will this diet be safe to old people aged 50 and above. Will it not increase their cholesterol level and their blood pressure??? or Paleo diet is only for young people aged 30 below…?
Does the paleo diet suggest eating the food groups proportionally? Similar to keto diet does: 75% fat, 20% protein, 5% carb?
An expert is someone who feels like they have arrived and have nothing else to learn. How about you are a Paleo professional.

Paleo is right. Lesson refined foods. But that’s about it. A little meat goes a long, long way.
There must millions of EX-Vegetarians in the Western World, it doesn’t work, my brother was a vegetarian for 27 years before he eventually gave it up, I was for 2 years but it made me so ill! Now I eat the opposit, loads of offal, organ meat, brains, kidney heart, tongue, cow foot, cow skin, blood.
Human milk is, interestingly, much higher in lactose than cow, goat, sheep, buffalo, or camel milk, which are all traditionally consumed milks. Mare’s milk, still consumed by the herders of Mongolia, is the only milk used by humans that compares in levels of lactose to human milk.Weston A. Price found cultures consuming diets high in dairy products with excellent physical development, superb dentition, and no cavities, including isolated Alpine villages in Switzerland, before roads were put in. Their diet, he reported in ‘Nutrition and Physical Degeneration’, consisted almost entirely of milk and other dairy products such as cheese, and bread made from a fermented ryewhich was always eaten with a thick slab of cheese. These villages had neither police nor doctor because, they said, they had no need for either. The men from these villages were well known for their outstanding performance in national athletic contests. Interesting, eh?Many other cultures traditionally ferment milk (kefir, yogurt) and/or make it into cheese, which changes the milk and particularly the lactose via the action of friendly bacteria.
Paleo helped me changed my fertility! After eating clean with no inflammatory foods I “became regular” after 3 or 4 months and had no issues conceiving! Now I’m pregnant with #3. Of course now I have cravings but will start again once baby is born!
Very good information overall. Goats & sheep were providing milk (as well as meat, organ meats, fat, bone marrow, hides, etc) to humans long before cattle. Prof Cordain thinks ‘outside the box’ in many ways, but his world view has been shaped more than he is aware if he equates the domestication of cattle to the advent of dairy consumption. It is generally agreed that sheep were domesticated +/10,000 years ago. In addition to meat, fat, and hides, the milk from these animals was also used. Like the Masai of Africa, early people knew they could harvest the milk (and in the case of the Masai, also the blood) and they still had the animal. Obviously, this is not possible when harvesting the carcass.Goats were also domesticated and used for milk production around the same time. Camels, yak, reindeer, and mares are among the other animals that were commonly used by some cultures to produce milk used for human food, in all likelihood going back farther than the 6,000 years generally quoted as the advent of dairying.
On milk It may well be far more ‘paleo’ than most people think. Like other predators, humans certainly consumed the udders of adult female animals they killed and the milk inside. As Dr. Michael Eades put it, ‘This was not a sustainable method of dairying.’
Two points that should be more commonly known: One is that nomadic herders ‘domesticated’ cattle long before these animals were used to plow or pull carts, yet historians and anthropologists date the domestication of cattle to when there was evidence of these uses of cattle. It is a small step from the life of nomadic hunters to becoming nomadic herders, which is mostly ignored. Both followed the movement of the herds with the seasons and available forage. Even today there are nomadic herders even though governments limit the movement of people, and only some of those herd cattle, and none herd only cattle.
Like the nomadic herders of today and recorded history, the milk of their animals forms an important part of their diet, as it is a highly nutritious substance. Natural processes turn it into forms that resist spoilage and can be stored for various lengths of time. Milk carried in the stomachs of calves becomes cheese. Milk in car jars becomes ‘clabbered’ or becomes yogurt or kefir, for example.
The second point is that cattle are NOT the only animal humans have used for milk, and almost certainly not the first animal that provided milk for human consumption. Reindeer, moose, eland, camel, mares, yaks, and water buffalo are all being milked by people for human food today. Cheeses from the milk of sheep and goats is available in nearly every American supermarket, while moose milk cheese is more of an expensive novelty. It seems highly likely that over the course of human history, partnerships between more than just these 10 species could have been formed.
Latest study confirms that HCLF is directly linked to lung cancer.
At first, I though that this product was all hype because I took it for 2 weeks without any results. However, I am really glad that I decided to keep on taking it because when it finally worked, it worked wonders! I have lost 2 pounds every week since then! have used Weight loss green store tea
HE LOOKS SO UNCOMFORTABLE SPEAKING, DOES HE HAVE HEART DISEASE???
This guy’s not fat! People are trying to say he’s got a pot bellie? WTH? Loose skin around your neck is genetic, it’s not fat. I’m sure this guy’s BMI is right on target. Unless you have some obsessive/anorexic issues..
paleo..eat what humans ate over 10,000 years ago..hmm,sounds good,if it wasn’t entirely supposition and fabrication.
Love the WeightLossGreenStoretea ordering another one. Works well helps with weight loss given healthy eating and excercise.
BS diet.
why exclude whole grains when they are super healthy?
high in fiber, low GI, high in minerals and vitamins. gives steady energy and makes one feel full longer which is useful in weight control. oats esp boost the immune system.
Keto is great and everything but really unsustainable, there’s simply too many people to provide with food to be able to eat that much meat
load of BS. whole grains are super healthy. they boost the immune system and decrease the chance of allergies and provide minerals and vitamins. meat should be eaten in moderation. eat 3 whole fruits a day and 2 servings of veggies daily.
No offense but this guys diet is obviously not working. He looks overweight and old. I’ve seen vegans that look vibrant and young as they age.
What a “World’s #1 expert” on whatever subject… looking all healthy and vigorous.
If followers of the paleo diet get their “scientific data” from this non-sense guy, I can see, why they themselves have no clue of what they are talking about.
So many things in just one interview…
To mention just a few of them:
@ 27:58: “The behaviour of eating only plant foods and not eating animal foods is lethal… it’ll eventually kill you… and it produces disease and, so… reproduction into adulthood… then is going to… be… impaired… so people that don’t eat meat won’t reproduce, so… that if it’s a genetic thing that is causing the behaviour that’ll be a problem…”
What on earth is this non-sense man talking about?
Where is the scientific data confirming this platitude?
Please, don’t go around making things up in your head and tell them as being reliable data. There might be sensitive and naive people actually believing your words to be true.
@ 29:00 you talk about studies done on mortality rate among vegetarians/vegans compared to non-vegetarians.
That vegetarians/vegans are not “healthier” than non-vegetarians though when it comes to at least ischemic heart disease, the 1999 study: ajcn.nutrition.org/content/70/3/516s.full,
concludes that vegetarians/vegans have a 24-26% lower mortality rate compared to meat-eaters (2009 study has 19% lower for vegetarians compared to meat-eaters).
2009 study: ajcn.nutrition.org/content/89/5/1613S.full,
concludes that the study is not large enough to exclude small or moderate differences for specific causes of death, and more research on this topic is required.
Your “most comprehensive studies” conclude that they are not large enough, and more research is required… pretty comprehensive indeed.
@ 29:35 you are talking about cherry-picking.
Who is the cherry-picker on this whole matter? All the hard scientific data that you just don’t (or won’t) see.
@ 30:39 “So many nutrient deficiencies, that you are going to develop, if you stop eating animal products… including zinc”.
Conclusions concerning “zinc deficiency in vegetarian/vegan diet” again from the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition can be found here:
ajcn.nutrition.org/content/78/3/633S.full
Vegetarians/vegans can easily reach more than the daily recommended amount of zinc with just the smallest amount of effort, so don’t go there, Mr. Cordain… you are creating an issue, where there is none.
@ 35:23 you mention, that “B6… Vitamin B6 is another one”…
By saying that, do you mean, that vegetarians/vegans will lack or be deficient in Vitamin B6?
Where do you get that from?
Again, don’t go around making things up.
Seeds, nuts, brown rice, whole grains, fruits and vegetables contain plenty of vitamin B6.
@ 44:04 “Butter would be OK…”
This is getting weird… I’ll stop here.
Does anyone know long humans lived back then with this kind of diet?
yeah, whatever the guy doesn’t quite strike me as vibrant and healthy and joyous so I think maybe his diet has some problems……paleono.
Smart fellow. This is not weird science folks, it is a simple truth. Low crab high protein, stay moderately active with bursts of high intensity. Add it up, be healthier for longer. lower disease risk. Feel better, have more energy, actually, don’t listen to this at all, you will sold be extinct anyway.
Double Chin! He is obese and unhealthy! Healthy people are always slim and fit looking even at 99!
http://tedxtalks.ted.com/video/Debunking-the-Paleo-Diet-Christ
I do and don’t agree with him on a lot of things evolutionarily he’s on point but even some of his statements are kinda simple in ways..
This interviewer has a new career ahead of him, as an Arnie impersonator. “Get to the chopper!”:-D
In his defense, he’s been talking non stop for 50 minutes, anyone’s throat would get dry. Ive read his book, it is good, I follow the diet, its tough but great results both physically and mentally. He might not follow his own advice, but it doesn’t mean his advise is untrue. You wouldn’t not listen to your doctor if he/she was overweight..they are still well studied individuals (well, some of them..) The only thing I dont agree with in the book is the allowance of 4oz nuts and 2 oz dried fruit, this actually stalled my weight loss, but again, find what works for you…
You have no idea what people ate in the past…..you weren’t there. So you are guessing…and we weren’t around as a planetary body millions of years ago. How silly. Can’t listen to silly subjective theory. Millions of years ago…lol
Just because you lose weight with this diet doesn’t mean its healthy
Quiet frankly…this author/expert doesn’t look especially good nor fit for his age..he looks rather old, pot bellied and lacking muscle. Based on his own results don’t think I’d be in a rush to follow him for diet advice…seriously
That man seems unwell. He keeps drinking, burping and squirming.
Can someone explain how a vegan can be deficient in b6, zinc and iron. when the highest 10 listed foods for these things are mostly vegan……
The Paleo Diet was discovered by Weston A Price in the 1930’s in his quest for healthy cultures following their traditional diets. The leading example of natural, high fat diet is FRANCE. They have a fraction of the obesity, ADD/ADHD, etc as the rest of the western unhealthy countries.
Combined with Gary Taubes research on why we get fat, I have to say these two men are doing wonders for our knowledge of nutrition. The amount of misinformation is remarkable vast in our western societies, yet between LCHF diets and Paleo….I see very little open air. Its unlikely you could go wrong with either, and Paleo is likely the more metabolically-sound in the long term. LCHF has better short-term weight loss (especially in the most dangerous fat storage areas around the abdomen).
Again, not much difference between the two, although dairy consumption might be a minor quibble. I don’t see much harm in a few ounces of cheese a say…starches are far more aggravating, acidic-wise, than dairy and the high saturated fat ratio of cheese hasn’t been shown to be particularly harmful, particularly once your body is using fat as its primary fuel source: as Loren indicated, saturated fat is favored for oxidation in the body. Its used up for fuel long before it can cause trouble in the bloodstream. Good interview!
What about liver and onions? I NEED iron. Pills haven’t ever worked for me. My job involves heavy lifting, and I’m trying to become the healthiest of all my friends. My question is, can I maintain muscle strength to lift at least 100 US pounds with this diet? BTW, I can do all of what I just mentioned without supplements or additional work outs.
4:39 Loren seems bothered by his jacket. It seems excess meat with no carbs makes one uneasy with small environmental irritants (such as clothes). But hey, the cavemen did not wear clothes, did they?
This guy has some serious bloating plus he is too fidgety and has some throat irritation since he has to clear his throat all the time. Watch a few samples at 2:27, 2:40 to 3:45. At 3:20 he apparently makes an effort to either conceal the need to run to the toilet or to release a big burp. At 3:34 he gets some rash on his face and then he quickly checks his thyroid (which looks swollen). Plus what is all the fat under his chin, he looks like a waking dietary nightmare ready to explode. Compare a talk of this guy with a talk of dr. McDougall who seems so relaxed yet so alert without any of the bloating, rashes and fidgeting dr. Cordain exhibits. Those greens/meats combos must produce a lot of gas both in this professor emeritus’ stomach and in his intestines. Plus part of the same combo must pass undigested in his blood, producing skin rashes and throat irritation.
This diet maybe good for some but obviously Cordain is not one of them. I know an old guy at the gym who looks amazing, barely exercises and he claims to be on paleo.
animal products cause all cardiovascular disease and cancer.
Very helpful! I have actually been looking at both of these diets. Thanks so much for clearing this up!
Hello! I bought the keto reset book in February of 2018 and started my keto lifestyle! I chose keto partly because my glucose levels were prediabetic and that scared me. I lost over 40 pounds and I felt great! (high energy, clarity and confidence) I share your book with whoever asks me about my success with keto. Now I have a question. I recently donated blood and my cholesterol has gotten pretty high. Since starting keto, I had bloodwork done every six months to monitor my glucose and those numbers did drop. But my cholesterol has steadily increased. I am 53 and menopausal and that may account for some of the increase but I a worried that I will have to stop doing keto in order to get my cholesterol down. What can I do?
Excellent Video clip! Sorry for butting in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you researched Dinanlinson Perfection Guide Approach (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a great exclusive guide for discovering a collection of tasty paleo recipes without the normal expense. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my cousin after many years got cool success with it.
Paleo works great if you are disciplined and eliminate all table sugar. As an added benefit, after a while my bathroom visits didn’t stink anymore.
On Keto 5 days. All I want is sleeeeeepppppp:-)) thats a Keto flu?
For OPTIMAL health go carnivore.. Fruits and vegetables are basically worthless nutritionally and even have adverse effects on the human body..
I have a question, If the majority of your daily calorie intake is fat, where do you get 75% of the fat? You have to eat butter and olive oil? This seems not natural, where are you gonna get 75% of fat living primitively?
This.. this is my answer. I was on paleo but missed my hard cheeses. This is a better lifestyle plan.
I have been on the primal diet for 1 year and before that vegan for 1 year. Ever since then low carbs mainly meat and eggs and works best for me. Would love to do an interview with you or other people that share similar…
Sadly this primal diet is not even close to the original true palaeolithic diet….
Mark, I greatly appreciate your succinct and highly informative videos. Question: Is your food pyramid organized by calorie intake? If no, what would it look like if it were?
I appreciate how you turn a 4 minute video into a ehm… 4 minute video. Other channels will gladly give the same info in a 15 minute video and leave you confused in the progress
BS diet.
why exclude whole grains when they are super healthy?
high in fiber, low GI, high in minerals and vitamins. gives steady energy and makes one feel full longer which is useful in weight control. oats esp boost the immune system.
Thanks again Mark..I’ll make sure that my gym clients watch this wonderful video and get clear understanding about paleo reset….
MARK!!! We completely love and admire you! We gave you a fun shout out in our last video and talk about The Keto Reset book. Thanks for all the solid information.
“If it walked on the land, go for it.”
Hmm time to be a cannibal, very natural, non process.
ive been eating cleaner for awhile…thanks to flacity (yes a youtuber) and im kinda doing the peleo diet in a lot of ways…but not fully since i cant find/afford grass fed beef and pasture-raised pork i do however eat pasture-raised chicken now and it taste so much better and i feel better
also theres a few foods that i will never give up…and you will take out of my dead hands
also lost 15 lbs in 5 mounts and went down a jean size!!!
Why is the paleolithic point of time the right one to state our best diet? Whole grains are great, we are definitely not optimized for eating animal products. The longest living populations on this planet do not follow a paleo diet.
I found paleo 4 yrs ago. Felt better compared to low fat plans, but still felt “off” & tired! Happened upon ketogenic info a year after. It was difficult to get information at that time, but since I was looking for mental clarity, possibly impending alzheimers, & needing energy to just LIVE, I figured a plan that worked for epilepsy patients might be worth trying! FF to now. Keto is not for every body, but MY body THRIVES off it. Depressing thoughts occur MUCH less. Cravings? None… I have to remind myself to eat to fuel my body! I go off-plan sometimes (social reasonsdifferent subject) & am blasted w the reminder of how I used to feel! Crapola!
Great advice! I really like the paleo diet. In the last year, I’ve made some big changes to my diet.
The biggest reason why I succeeded is because I use quality paleo diet cookbooks.
Recently I came across a paleo diet cookbook that offers 125 paleo recipes complete with daily paleo diet meal plans and snack ideas.
It also gives you paleo diet shopping lists and helpful advice on how to stick with your new diet plan when eating out at restaurants.
The recipes are terrific and you’ll be able to easily adapt to the plan. I highly recommend it.
Hey I love this video thanks! I’m think of going with the Paleo diet. I want to begin my journey, but I am not sure how. What do you think about Paleo diet paid programs I keep reading reviews about how they speed up the process and make you stick to the diet but I can’t make up my mind because of the price. I understand it has a ton of features compared and people seem to love it but the price seems like a lot. The program I’m considering is called Paleo hacks bit.ly/HackThePaleoDiet. I would love an opinion on such programs from a more experienced person than me. I just want to know if I really need it to be consistent and stick to this diet. Go ahead and please give me an advice! I would love an opinion on Paleo programs from a more experienced person than me. The dairy issue is interesting. Wild carnivores will consume the udder of prey to obtain the milk within before they consume any other part of the animal. (This has led to speculation of aliens dissecting cattle when they were found dead and otherwise little or untouched except for the udders being entirely gone.)Milk is readily consumed by adult animals of every species I have ever seen offered the opportunity: cow, goats, chickens, turkeys, ducks, sheep, and of course, dogs and cats. *There is a huge difference between pasturized industrially produced milk from cows on a grain based diet,, and fresh uncooked milk from healthy dairy animals on 100% pasture and forages, aka ‘grassfed’.*Also, traditional cattle breeds produce much higher percentages of fat and other nutrients in their milk than the ‘standardized’ homogenized milk sold in stores. For instance, the 100% grassfed Jersey milk we have access to runs from 6% to over 7% butterfatcompared to 3.25% in the standardized milk in stores.Sheep milk is much higher in fat content than commercial industrial cows’ milk, at around 7% but well managed traditional Jersey cows can reach that level of fat content in their milk, as can Devons and other traditional dairy cow breeds.
todays meats are not evan close to the wild meats are ancestors eat. So choose meats that are the most wild cought as they can be. eat the slowest burning carbs you can find. have one cheat day a week.
I lost more weight on a high carb low-fat diet along with exercise than in any other way I tried. Given that the number one killer these days is coronary heart disease which comes mostly from high-fat diets how in the world can you promote high-fat diets as doctors?
man whatever she is selling…im buying! absolutely beautiful!!!
She has a stethoscope and a lab coat that’s all the credentials I need
but they drink protein powder? or what cause no way that’s paleo
Animal protein, fats cause cardiac arrest. fatty liver and inflammatory.
Great job explaining the 2 diets. Very informative. I do love sweet potatoes!
Halfway through the video: Paleo friendly food such as.. soy beans? White beans? Do your research Dr Oz c’mon man stick to the lame diets and stop ruining the good ones
What about this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXMsYj4RRJ0
After filming this short video they resumed filming their fitness themed hardcore porn.
I disagree on one thing: that there isn’t much prep. I have never spent so much time in the kitchen and washed so many dishes since I did my first Whole30 and then paleo.
But I never felt better.
https://healthwealthtricks.com/product/1566/ <-30 Day Guide to Paleo is a fool-proof meal plan and guidebook to losing weight and having a healthier lifestyle!!
I have just started a month trial on the paleo diet. I have coeliacs disease so I can’t have most processed foods but I will miss eating chocolate
Its not really a diet. Its just how your supposed to eat. Meat, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and berries. I think common sense would tell ya that you don’t need all the sugary breads and pastas. Eating like a cave man is pretty dead on. They didn’t sit around eating pop tarts and cinnamon toast crunch for breakfast or hot pockets for dinner. Eat real food not out of a box. There’s no sense in hating on it like its a fad diet. Eating real food is not a new trend or a fad it’s just that most people don’t do it anymore.
The “paleo” diet is a death wish. This information was quite poor and shallow.By eating flesh, we are consuming IGF and other cancer promoting compounds.
Ok actual question can I have popcorn like legit they had corn and heat so……
Awesome guide, You can get more resourceful guide on Paleo Diet through this blog I discover recently: http://paleodietsguide.com
forget this paleo diet scam, the most recent study shows that people who don’t eat enough carb have a shorter life expectançy than those who eat too much of it, 55% of your calories should come from complex carb, keto diet is unhealthy on the long term and will shorten your life big time
Just stop eating sugar. By eliminating all food and drinks that contain refined sugar, the pounds will melt away.
Lol their free guide has a damn FBI warning on it. What the hell.
Great video! There’s a recipe book I use called PaleoHacks Cookbook that only costs $10, you can check it out here: https://bit.ly/2NoMeVz
Potato’s come from the ground but are starchy Carbs and not on Paleo diet correct?
Let her talk… not you, I did not learn anything, be sharp, quick and be usefull
Idk where these fake rules came from. Ping pong ball of peanut butter?? Peanut butter is a legume which isn’t part of the paleo diet. Opt for sunflower seed butter. We are looking to avoid inflammation and did-ease my friends.
The biggest problem I think this diet has is being wholly built upon an appeal to nature fallacy. Why would we want to live and eat the same way cave people, who lived to the ripe old age of around 30 did? And some foods are eliminated for such seemingly arbitrary reasons, like peanuts and other legumes.
Why does she need him to tell the story? He talks too much. She looks at him like saying,(( shut up already! )
i definitely like the idea of cutting out processed foods. The “paleo” diet is essentially a “caveman/cavewoman” diet, eating how humans would have eaten thousands of years ago. Which means no Doritos or Dr. Pepper.
it sounds and looks so simple so don’t insult us with a cook book or any shopping list!
Here’s a Paleo diet cook book that I found helpful on my journey of paleo dieting https://bit.ly/2t1IbFq
Hope someone found this helpful:)
If want to to lose weight fast, I do keto. Then went low carb high fat. Now to maintain, I do 2 meals a day. And go carb crazy once in awhile. Of course after carb crazy I fast. I always check my blood sugar. Buy a meter its great!
The more I learn about Paleo, and the short stint I did with it last month, I’m ready to make the change to a fully paleo lifestyle. It feels good to put in your body
So according to you everything that lives Is in the paleo diet so the paleo diet is not a diet
Are the green beans at 4:02 really the best example of a paleo dinner? I thought that legumes were off the menu?
What about oil? Like coconut oil? That wasn’t around in the stone age.. although i hear this is a typical paleo food.
Thanxxx for sharing. I have been hearing so much about PALEO, but had no idea what that meant. I want to try it!
having trouble with paleo diet try this paleo cookbook with virtually every health benefitt http://bit.ly/Feelgreatnow
Just wonderful, I been tryin to find out about “how many calories per day on paleo diet” for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about Fanabraal Toned Tiraspol (should be on google have a look )? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my friend got amazing success with it.
To all the people who say “he’s not even fit”… That is because your idea of “fit” has been drastically skewed by the fitness industry who use genetic outliers to sell supplements, gym memberships, clothes etc. the human body has evolved to carry body fat for survival. It also has NOT evolved to carry massive amounts of muscle. That would have served as a survival disadvantage. So before you call this guy “unfit” please try to understand genetics and biological evolution first.
What a load of nonsense. How about leaving the billions of animals that are killed every year for our taste buds.
You can live a lot healthier by eating vegan plant based food. Better for the planet. Look up to see how these animals are rounded up every day for the slaughter just for our pleasure. Most of them don’t even get to live past 2 to 4 years of age. Meat is a huge cause of a lot of diseases.
People have been healing themselves on a plant based diet. Is an animals life really worth killing just so we can have a few moments of pleasure on our plates?
“if the cavemen ate it you can go for it” the cavemen didn’t eat chlorine infested chicken and meat that is pumped with antibiotics. They also didn’t eat fruits that come from the other side of the World. Coffee or tea? Nope sorry not for you.. Water from the supermarket? Not for you, go to the next river! oh sorry you can’t drink that, it’s already poisoned. My point is: it’s good if people want to live healthy and think about their food, but from all the diets and tips out there, paleo is nothing more than a joke. Saying it was good in the past it is good now just doesn’t work.

you guys are so full of shit!
We are nothing like our ancestors!
So fucking ignorant!
Vegan diet is only healthy if they take many supplements to meet nutrient needs.
guys look at this site i found it can really help you get started with paleo diet https://bit.ly/2KaidXM
0:23 wow I didn’t know you could go from Asian to black with this diet
The recipes are healthy but besides that the ones i haven’t tried (yet) look soooo good. To me it’s not even a diet it’s just good food.

Thank for the information and recipe for healthy and delicious meal.I like healthy food especially fish.People are having success losing weight with healthy way by poleo diet.
I personally start poleo diet 5 month ago and already make me very high spirit during the day.I am sure this will provide tremendous value to anyone that see this. You can check it out here: http://bit.ly/2G1TlTb
I’m not arguing when I pose this question. Who says that what cavemen ate is the perfect diet for modern people? I know that most of what is sold in grocery stores is processed and not really fit for human consumption, but, prehistoric humans ate only what they could forage and hunt. BTW… I could do this diet.

Personally, I think all of these “diets” are completely ridiculous and unnecessary. All that you need to do in order to be healthy and fit is eat a sensible diet and get plenty of exercise. It’s NOT that complicated. If you are trying to lose weight, then you simply need to burn more calories than you take in each day. By getting plenty of exercise, you will increase your basal metabolic rate and you will burn an even higher number of calories throughout the course of the day and even while you sleep. You don’t need some stupid fad diet to accomplish these things. Just stay away from the fast food, sodas, sugary, processed junk, and simple carbohydrates in general. Those are the things that will spike your blood sugar and lead to diabetes and weight gain. Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains and you will be golden. You don’t need some ridiculous diet with a fancy name to be fit and healthy.
Get some recipes here. This simplified ones might help. https://everythingonlineforu.blogspot.ae/2018/03/paleo-diet-made-simple-and-fast.html?m=1
I don’t think PORK would be a good meat choice from a health standpoint?
Miled and refined? What about dehidrated and powdered veggy or smothy?
If you know for a fact that you are Insulin Resistant, and no longer Insulin Sensitive, which diet is better, Keto or Paleo?
I’ve been Paleo for 5 years now. I still break out and eat wheat products occasionally but I stick to my diet about 90% of the time. It’s taught me heaps about my body and still learning every day.
I had no idea that Paleo also focuses on food quality. Thanks for the info!
Love keto but I always get electrolyte problems while in ketosis
What’s us so sure the Palaeolithic people never ate legumes or dairy?
I have been on keto for about 8 months now and lost about 50 lbs. Noticed a lot of other benefits as well-such as mental clarity, overcoming depression, and energy. Fast forward after I reached my weight loss goal and I started to incorporate low glycemic fruits into my diet like all the berries. Fast forward a bit more and now I find myself craving more and more and more berries before reaching satisfaction. Fast forward a couple of weeks more and now I’m gaining weight again-just from incorporating berries. BERRIES! lol. But on the plus side? I’ve been moving my bowels almost every day while eating berries whereas on keto I’d be lucky to poop 1x a week.
Weeks after incorporating berries, I’ve also noticed I’ve lost a lot of the mental clarity, and a lot of depression came back. I’m not going to say that correlation equals causation, but it’s just too coincidental. In the end, Sugar is Sugar, no matter what the fiber content. And sugar is the main culprit here. I need to go back into ketosis and COMPLETELY stop eating fruits. Period.
The Keto eliminates processed flours however, the oils, olive, macadamia, i.e., are allowed even though those are processed? Same can be said with butter.
whoever cooks at home daily, and only has a cheat meal once a month or more, is never going to fail. First do that, then try specific eating lifestyle (diet word should be avoided)
Dear Doctors, I read a lot on a keto communication Network and a lot of people are complaining about constipation high cholesterol not feeling well what do you do about these on the ketogenic diet how do you not become constipated and control your high cholesterol what’s your take on this.
Please answer my question, does eating slow digesting food, like casein, at the end of the feed state mess with the start of the fasting state, in sense of the fasting state beginning at the last meal ingested or digested? And does whey break keto?
Would you talk about the best way to do this for folks recovering from brain injury?
There’s JUST ONE REASON you might fail on the Paleo Diet and it has everything to do with your ability to make delicious food, FAST.

Thanks good to know, I believe both “diets” exclude gluten, someone inform me if this is incorrect.
Thank you both..!!! I’ve been wondering about Paleo. I just restarted keto on Monday after 2 weeks off. I was on it for 6 months and plateaued, I even gained 5 lbs. I thought maybe my body needed a reset/kick-start to start losing weight again.
After I reach my goal weight I’ve considered moving to Paleo, but didn’t know much about it. Now I do, thanks to you both..!
Keep up the great work and thanks again!
Great video….I also wonder though because I’ve done Keto but miss fruit and some others things, could I not just switch to Paleo after losing weight on Keto? HOpe you can do a video about this question.:)…
I have reached my weight loss goal on Keto. Should I stay with Keto or try and move to a less restrictive eating protocol like Paleo?
I’m finding it difficult to maintain my weight…I keep losing!
So, wouldn’t it make sense to use the Keto diet to loose wait then switch to paleo once you reach your goal?
I’m doing paleo with the exception of having dairy in small amounts and I am loving it:)
Great video. Oddly people ask me this question often and I don’t know in depth because I’m on Keto not paleo. I have told them on Paleo people don’t eat dairy or count carbs.
So paleo is not a fat burning correct it does not do ketosis
You didn’t mention vegetables…. LOL… or I missed it. Vegetables, of course, are encouraged on all diets paleo, low carb and keto (varied on the basis of how many carbs you are aiming for but all diets say that vegetables are necessary and healthy.) I follow a low carb (75 100 total carb grams per day), moderate protein, moderate fat, lots of veggies, max of 1 fruit per day Paleo diet. Some people on Paleo diets eat no dairy, some eat moderate full-fat dairy. I don’t eat any dairy because I am lactose intolerant. I also follow Dr. Becky’s 0-1-2-3 plan……. So I eat 3 meals a day: each meal has protein and healthy fats. I have 1 large salad per day, 2 cups of cooked veggies and stop eating 3 hours before bedtime. I eat 0 sugar. I count my total carb grams. After the carbs of my large salad and 2 cups of cooked vegetables per day, I fill out my 75 100 total carbs per day with some berries or a small baked sweet potato or a little bit of rice. Works for me…….
No “milled” foods? What about almond flour, coconut flours? What about sweeteners that have been “processed” but are used as substitutes for sugar?
I wondered about this.
Thanks for video thanks Jennifer
Thanks for clearing this up for us, keto all the way for me and wife ✌
