The gluten-free diet, when followed in a way that emphasizes mainly whole, unprocessed foods, shares significant overlap with the highly-rated Mediterranean diet, which has been named “Best Diet Overall” from U.S. News and World Report. 2 The Mediterranean diet features fresh fruit, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, fish, and olive oil.

Gluten itself is the term used to describe a collection of proteins found in grains. In wheat, gluten covers two related proteins: gliadin and glutenin. Other gluten-containing grains include (but are not limited to) barley and rye.
In several countries, for example, commercially prepared gluten-free foods are lower in protein than their conventional counterparts. People who think gluten is unhealthy (not counting celiac diseased people) are stupid and need to do research.
So: a nutrition-uninformed approach to GF diet is worse than gluten-intensive diet because of possibly missing all the nutrients artificially incorporated into processed foods based around gluten-containing grains.
Who the heck makes an informed decision about their nutrition to steer away from modern wheat-based processed foods but doesn’t make an informed choice about the rest of what they put in their mouths for nutritional well-being?
Oats are whole grains and gluten free if not processed with the same machinery as wheat. Also, what the heck do you mean by “same stuff”? There are so many foods that don’t contain gluten that provide ALL of your dietary needs.
I’m not one of those cunts who say OH IM SORRY IM GLUUUUTEN FREE, I just say I have Celiac disease I can’t eat that
But my doctor said I have to stay away from that because it messes my gut up ;-;
Yes don’t eat gluten free unless u have celiac or an allergy and don’t pull that sensitivity shit cuz it doensnt exist
Rly dude, how much money you take for that what did you said!? Dont lie, you realy dont know anything about gluten.
i have to take gluten out of my diet, or it fks up my stomach.
Very interesting. It is a strange trend. As it is said: Gluten-free diets are NOT healthy and should be avoided unless you are diagnosed with celiac disease. Shops in all of the western world are making fortunes on this and on people believing in anything they read online without asking questions. Sad.
I dont give a shit about gluten, i didnt pay much attention to gluten free. Thats not what i look for in food
Defficiencies only can happen in vegans, if you eat meat is imposible to be defficient in B vitamins and iron.
Gluten Free became a trendy diet since Novak Djokovic said it helped him finally win majors in Tennis. He may… or may not have a disease. Could just be a mental thing since he struggled for a while to win a major (weird that before his “diagnosis” he made finals with Celiac’s). Been telling mates for years, gluten isn’t bad at all, unless you have an actual disease that makes you allergic to it.
Where’s the BLOODY tech.. now its just gettting on my nerves.. the other day u were on about body shapes.. now GLUTEN FREE DIET..
U might just call yourself “nothing to do with tech insider” AHHHHHHH
Alot of people do gluten free because they think they are going to lose weight or because they think it’s gonna cure what ever they have. It’s more of a trend than any thing.
So this video says how gluten free diets are bad for some people and I got an ad about gluten free like waaaaaat
Idiots that have gluten-free diets (except those with celiac disease) absolutely crack me up. You people are hilariously dumb.
I enjoy heavy metal so this is good for me! Thanks professor cross eyed, hail Satan!
You can get those micro nutrients from other sources. Even if you aren’t medically forced to be gluten free, gluten laden products can still have an effect on your gut health.
i feel like this is misleading. it seems obvious that eating gluten-free processed alternatives doesn’t have any health benefits, unless you have celiac disease. many of us who choose a gluten-free diet do so because we want to eat raw, whole foods as opposed to packaged food marketed as gf.
Yeah some people are stupid lol they only eat gluten free and don’t even have celiac disease
All he said was don’t eat too much rice, not that gluten is good for you. Find a replacement for whole grains, you’ll be better off. Many people are sensitive to gluten, because only the civilizations that started with exposure to wheat have had time to grow a 100% immunity to it
So this means that I have to replace the gluten bag I throw at hipsters when they’re too aggressive with their bs?! Aww.
So then wtf am i supposed to eat?!?!!! Oh… All i have to do is buy a book. Cool.
Imagine that. not eating something that has been a staple of our species diet for tens of thousands of years is bad.
If you are a celiac, you are genetically defective, not trendy.
WRONG. You got almost nothing right. You can easily get all the nutrients you need from other foods. Who’s iron and folate deficient on a gluten free diet that isn’t eating a junk food or poor overall limited diet? If you’re concerned about rice, DONT EAT IT. Nothing mandates that you eat rice on a gluten free diet and it’s better you actually don’t often because of the sky high glycemic index. Did you really fact check anything before you came on camera and flapped your lips?
Why not go GRAIN free and solve all grains problems in the body because all the vitamins in grains are found in non grain sources too:)
Drinking game, drink every time he says gluten free diet
