I am tve Sugar abd T Type oh how lovely! healthy eating and eating well along with exercising and sleeping (8 hours!) And drinking water consistently helps but the discipline part is hard. Everything in moderation. I love what Dr. Oz did it’s great! He addressed all types. He’s a Cardiologist I believe so i would definitely listen to him!
Wow my mind set my body is scary because I used to be slightly over weight and I started off weighing 117lbs at first. I gained a lot of weight when I was nearly ending my sophomore year and I weighed 105 or 106 starting my sophomore year of high school. Right now I’m in college as a freshman and I weigh 90 something lbs. If you wonder how tall I am, I am 4’9. I don’t see myself as thin even I know I am and I used to be made fun off for being fat. That hurt my self esteem and since I got notices for my weight loss so why bother stopping it. I still want to keep going with weight loss.

This happened to me. Went from 198lbs to 129 lbs. I was 5’6 and still in a healthy weight but I had anorexia. My health was deteriorating by the day and my body was starting to give. I’m so thankful that I got help and have now been in recovery for 3 months now

While anorexia is a problem, not eating temporarily to loose weight is not. As long as you start eating healthy amounts after the weight loss, it’s not a bad thing and it’s not anorexia.

In some few months back in our school there was a woman who was picking up one at a time from a student to talk with, what their height is and there weight is. After it was my turn, she started to see what my height was and then my weight. After school i showed the paper to my Big sister and my mother, that the woman gave me, and they we’re both a bit shocked, when they saw how much my weight was, and it was 55 kg, i didn’t know that it was a lot back then, so of course i got a bit upset about that, so i ate healthy of course and exercised a little, but not to much “yet”.
After a bit some time i would start to do a 22 minute extreme workout everyday, and would start to go “vegetarian”.
I would also start to have smaller portions of my meals, and instead did another workout 2-3 Times of the entire workout for 4-5 times a week.
I would mostly skip a meal if i was upset with something, and would always argue with my parents.
From that on my weight dropped to 41 kg.
I am currently to this day recovering from my eating disorder + i have to go visit the hospital every week, until my blood pressure goes up normal and is approved by them from the hospital:3 my support is also my mom and my sister.

The only time I eat is at dinner since that is when I sit down with my parents and eat. My friend told me don’t starve yourself since she’s done it before, but I didn’t listen. It hurt seeing all my chubby friend start to loose weight yet nothing happened to me and I was really uncomfortable being around skinny people.
People need to stop fat shaming others….It’s one of the main causes of this… In my case, my family keeps calling me fat all the time. If I want to eat something I’m called a fat. They keep being like… “Are you planning on being a sumo wrestler?” like bruh.

I am a freshman in high school growing up ever since I was six years old I was obese. It really takes a toll on you. I’m an anorexic going into recovery soon I went from 151 pounds to 135 in a month which is double what you should lose making healthy decisions.
I’m in the morbidly obese range, I’ve been able to lose 13 pounds so far by fasting most of the day and having one small meal, also drinking a gallon of water a day. When I was 12, I weighed a whipping 210 lbs. I was 5’5. My family was really supportive of me losing weight. So I just ate a little less and ran/walked on the treadmill for awhile, and the pounds started dropping quick. I lost a pound a day, and my goal, was 110/122. It took me around 98 days to reach my goal but I did It! I was really worried I was gonna get anorexia but thankfully I didn’t.
This happened to me as a teen. I was a chubby kid i was bullied bad so i decided to lose weight at 14.
It started with skipping a meal but eating normally rest of the day. I began losing weight fast and got tons of compliments. Eventually I hit a plateau (already healthy weight at this point) so i stopped eating completely and started walking all the time.
It’s scary like she said tho, because your weight starts to get praised, boys start noticing you and it becomes rewarded. It’s toxic.
My music teacher was the only one to call me out on how much weight i was losing, and told me i looked sick. She contacted my mother then i got help. But it is very easy for kids to get into this especially when receiving positive attention from the loss.

That’s what happened to me I was a bit chunky then I lost 40 lbs and loved it but couldnt stop because of my restrictive eating which lead to anorexia then I tried recovery which now lead me to bulimia

This is me. I was obese, even though I didn’t realize it until I spotted my eating habits next to my friends’ eating habits. I started hating myself and crying when I looked in the mirror. I started noticing and thinking about little comments and hints that people made about my appearance and heaviness and slow running pace. I started dieting, then skipping lunch and sometimes breakfast too, and nobody noticed because I had gotten to a ‘normal weight’, maybe even still a little fat. My brother called me large which caused me to go the next day without eating at all since I pretended I had breakfast before everyone else had theirs, I threw away my school lunch (like I had been doing for the previous month) and my parents had gone out for supper and had left me a warm-up meal to make for myself and my brother and I had just given to my brother in the lounge and said I was going to have mine in my room but threw it away instead. I had started doing a hundred push-ups a day and was feeling really proud about it and told one of my friends, but she raised an eyebrow and looked at me in an amused way and said, “You? A hundred push-ups? I don’t believe you…” and she didn’t seem to realize how much pain and tears that had caused me. She has always been oblivious to my feelings and doesn’t realize how much her comments hurt me, even though she doesn’t mean them in a terrible way. She says them without thinking that they might affect me, since she has three younger brothers and is used to telling others what to do and stuff, so she doesn’t have experience with weight-conscious people and doesn’t know what is triggering and what isn’t. It isn’t her fault. Anyway, I stopped for a while, deciding that the misery wasn’t worth it, but I only lost about half a kilogram. I wasn’t (and am not, since this is pretty much now) happy with my slow weight loss speed. I’ve decided to start the starvation again to lose more weight because I want to be skinny and will only ever be happy once I’m underweight. My mindset is anorexic, (I’m not diagnosed with anorexia, I just have many symptoms, though it hasn’t been diagnosed by a proper doctor, just people on YouTube) but people don’t notice because I don’t look anorexic at all. But they forget that that is usually why people start to starve themselves in the first place — because they have been labeled by others as fat and overweight, someone who needs to lose weight otherwise they won’t be accepted or meet the standards of others’. I myself noticed that popular kids actually started talking to me more when I had lost weight, because I looked better and was more ‘normal’ and ‘unembarrassing’ and not so ‘weird-looking’. When I was obese they gave me weird looks that literally shouted ‘You’re weird and I don’t like it’ in my face and I always wondered why. It’s sad how people judge and only like you by your appearance, because I was always a really kind kid and my friends, who liked me because of my personality not my appearance and have stuck with me through all of my obesity and anorexic phase, always said that I was kind and caring and never gossiped or said mean things about others, I only noticed the bad things about people when others talked about it with me. The sad truth — people actually do judge by looks.

Yep. The pressure to lose weight at a young age can reap significant negative consequences later in life. As someone who was obese as a child, I subconsciously learned that my body and my desires were wrong and deformed, that I lacked self control and was unhealthy. It made me want to starve myself, and I did. I felt like I had something to prove. I needed everyone to know I was not lazy or gluttonous or out of control. It’s really unfortunate, Bc I know everyone who tried to encourage my weight loss as a child did so with he best of intentions. I do not blame them for what happened, it is just a sad consequence of the wrong message being implanted early.
WowI’m glad that awareness is being brought to this. I lost 58lbs in a little under 4 months. Was I technically underweight? Nope. Did I end up in the hospital? You bet. My vitals were terrible. I was miserable. Looking back, I think I looked extremely sick and frail, but because I didn’t look underweight, nobody (except those who were around me 24/7 and observed my eating habits and felt my freezing body) suspected an eating disorder. People just thought I always had a bad cold.
