To determine the ideal weight for a specific exercise: Choose a weight that allows you to do the first 10 reps with moderate difficulty. 3 By the end of the tenth rep, you should find it somewhat difficult to lift but not so difficult as to strain, hold your breath, or.Well, here’s the super simple way to figure out how much to lift and when to progress to heavier weights.
Let’s assume you are doing a workout program of 6 exercises with 3 sets of 12 repetitions of each exercise in a general fitness program. Step # 1 Figure Out.Weight lifting might make you think of protein powder shakes and bulging muscles, but that’s just the stereotype. Weight training has its benefits, and can help. How Much Weight Should I Lift?
The amount of weight you should lift should coincide with your goals. If your goal is to build strength, then your weights should be heavy enough that you can only perform 4-6 repetitions per set. If your goal is to build muscular size, then you should only be able to perform 7-12 repetitions per set.
“Heavy” varies from person to person, and simply refers to the amount of weight you can lift in the 1to 5-rep max range. Say, for instance, you are using 10-pound weights for an overhead press. If you can perform 1 or 2 reps over your desired number, the American College of Sports Medicine recommends increasing weight by 2–10%. So, if you can squat 135 pounds for one or two reps over the target number, increase the weight to 137.7–148.5 pounds.
On the other hand, if you’re struggling to complete your set, go lighter. The strongest lifters take time to get things right, even if that means lifting less weight than they know they “can” do. The strongest lifters started off doing a beginners program just like you.
So remember – start slow, add weight slowly, and stay conservative. It’s amazing how much even adding just 5 lbs (2kg) a week adds up to!For upper-body exercises like the bench press, increase the weight by approximately 5 percent. So instead of using 225 pounds, use 235.
For lower-body exercises like the squat, increase the weight by approximately 10 percent. So instead of using 225 pounds, use 245.7 TIPS FOR WEIGHT TRAINING BEGINNERS. 1. STAY HYDRATED: Muscle is 75% water.

Written by Lorne Opler CSCS. Related Articles. From there, increase the weight each set by 5–25 lbs., depending on what’s comfortable. Your goal is to ultimately arrive at a weight that you can lift for 8 reps, and confidently lift at least 3.
If you’re working at a bodybuilding workout plan, the principal of how much weight you should be lifting is the same; although you’ll be looking differently at the number of reps per set and your starting number. Determine your maximum load limit for a particular exercise and multiply that number by.8 instead of.6.Keep it light.
Kids can safely lift adult-size weights, as long as the weight is light enough. In most cases, one or two sets of 12 to 15 repetitions are enough. Resistance doesn’t have.
Here’s what you need to know about choosing the correct weights for your strength workout. 1. Your weight should make you work for those last few reps (without compromising your form). The amount of weight that you should be lifting is usually a percentage based on your one rep max. You can find your one rep max by finding out, for whatever exercise you are doing, what the maximum amount of weight you can lift and only do one rep for.
For example, if you are doing biceps curls, try to see how much you can lift and only do one.

Think I’m about to get the starter plan to be held accountable
I just spent the whole video in the comment section and now I have to rewatch it
soo, an example of me having 2chest days a week.. u want me to lift 30×10 3 times both sessions? and 32,5 both sessions week after?
Born mental garden character liberty pot pollution T-shirt folk move.
Very helpful brix I felt weak in the gym but it makes sense. I got away with just being more talented in college. Ran from the weights.
Im starting the gym tomorrow! Im so nervous to start I don’t know what to do and watching this video really helped a lot! I fast 16 hours and my eating window is from 12-8. I’m going to start weight lifting and I’m going to try doing high protein and fat and low carb diet. I hope this works for me
Thanks for actual info instead of the bullshit in most others on yt
Finally someone that gets straight to the point with no bullshit story about how their day went. Thanks Mike.
this is a great info you guys
love the gay dani though xD ahhahah
Jeff breaks it down so well that you don’t even have to train
Very informative video thank you Hunter n I agree with u with the machine weights n stress on joints as well. Hunter can u please do a video on when n how to exactly know that I have to change weight? As in I lifted 4 kg n I’m able to do bicep curl for 4 sets 15 to 20 reps but with same 4 kg I can’t complete 15 reps doing lateral raise so how do I know like if my muscle feels sore or when I complete all forms of arm workout in the exact reps? Thank you Hunter that I always thought I can’t lift that 20 kg barbell but u gave me a solution
Follow this man he knows his stuff. And talks to you like a normal human being, in words we can understand. I just wish I could follow the diet, lol
Change the video’s title to ‘A Guideline on how to get Injured While Bench Pressing”.
Yo mike have you got a personal I could contact you on? Rly need help I’ve been going gym for 2 years but only recently have been taking it seriously, your channel has been so educational it’s mad but I’ve reached a plateau my form and diet is good and idk what to do
A 30 degree heatwave. Come to Australia and you’ll see what a heatwave is. We’re in the middle of winter and it’s 23 degrees.
There is no such thing as a male or female workout Any of Fitness Blender’s workouts are great for both men and women.
Thanks I NEEDED THAT!!!!
Thumbs UP!!!

Thanks. Clo
I’d like to see you also speak in U.S. weights and measures. I didn’t grow up with both and by the time I do a quick calculation you’ve moved on. You’ll probably get a better response using both. I’d bet the bank on it.
Who else is watching this while laying in bed practicing the form
Hello Mike ThirSty! Like your videos! I have a question: in what proportion should we increase its calorie intake during this kind of evolution?
Sorry for my English:S
Mike thurston
Do a video about muscle bellies of the arms and legs.
Question I dislocated my shoulder awhile back (about a year ago) any suggestions
i find that increase in bench press, unlike squat or deadlift, is less linear and more step-like. you will be weak at it for a few, but with 2-3 times a week of benching for about 3-4 weeks, your bench will increase linearly for a while and then stall again. no/little change for a few weeks and then linear moderate increase. rinse and repeat. you just gotta keep at it. i find adding skull crushers, close grip bench and dips assist in the development of my bench strength, in order of effectiveness.
My wrists are so small I can bench 55kg(125lbsish) feel like my wrists will snap if I lift anything over 70kg
I’ve been lifting weights for almost about 1 year. Initially I felt very weak and used to underestimate myself because of all the masculine and bulky men around me.. but slowly gradually I built that strength and really became very confident!! Now I roam in the gym as if I own it
this shit isnt going to work for a natty lifter. ill give you the answer. how to get stronger, up the tren. easy
is it better to increase the weights in exercise or start with the max n decrease the weights
Bro my wight is 54 how much weight dumbbells I can take
you are simply the best!!! Thank you for the videos! They are good structured and really helpful!
30 degrees Celsius is nice weather in Texas. It has been 110 Fahrenheit last few days. (43 C)
Why wear a hat so often when u have a good head of hair….people will just assume your bald underneath…jacked and bald is as common as muck(joe delaneys brother for example)…
Best advice to get it: push the floor with your foots. Thanks you now I have less rounded back
Awesome advice guys!! ^_^ You had me nervous for a second… I was like… Ooo no! Don’t let me down with this answer! 😉 hahahaha Thumbs up!
Hi Mike, m from India and regular follower of ur channel and videos. I like most of ur content as it’s very logical and scientific.
I along with my friends request u to pls make a series of videos on proper technique and sceintific way to do exercise.., cos ppl here are just lifting weights without proper technique.
I have chronic muscle tension/pain in my neck and shoulder regions. I’ve been told that I need to do strength training because my muscles are weak? I’m a bit nervous to start because I don’t want further pain, yet…I know weight training comes with pain. Do you have any advice for my situation? I’m a beginner and I swear, there’s so much information out there. #Overwhelmed
Dude is totally rocking his body doing those curls lol. I stand as still as a statue. Only thing moving is my arms.
Thanks for the Videos, this one helped me a lot. keep up the good work and may God Bless you and your family. have a great Day.
After those 4 weeks when you’ve reached that 32.5 for 3 sets at 10 reps. Would you continue week 5 with 32.5 for 1 set of 10 then 35 for 2 sets of 8? Or would you stay at 32.5 for 3 sets of 10 for a few weeks?
So people want so much clout that they search a 4 YEAR video only to criticize something not relevant only to be relevant for some months…
How to avoid hitting my knees with the barbell all the time?
Great vid Mike. I’ve got a high stress job and like working out on a lunch break, massive stress reliever i love it!
Yep! Well said. Form is way more important than how much you’re lifting.
Genuinely can’t stop looking at your massive tanned arms. No homo.
Arm day is what i hate the most…especially doing triceps.
I do 4 sets of 25. Is that good? Cuz I be in so much pain to the point I can’t feel my chest.
Listening to what he’s saying, I honestly don’t care if the weights are real or not….. “I can’t control this weight, so I’m going to back it off to something in my range”… I mean, he’s addressing the fact that lifting should NOT be about egos. Not ideal if fake weights used making that point lol, but his attitude is humble, so I’m inclined to believe him, and don’t really care if they’re not. Great video, informative as always. Best fitness channel on youtube! Gosh, this is from 2015… Why so much traction now.
Always looking forward to spoofs at the end of video. Danielle is si hilarious
I train 7 days a week but i give each body part 2 days to recover is that ok
Can some 1 please explain to me mistake #4. What does jerking the weight off the floor mean? I don’t know what I’m looking at.
Rest 30 secs before each rep in my weight room we only get 30 seconds to do 5 reps
Awesome Video Mike I think this is one of the major factors that affect all of us in some way or another in the fitness world great advice!!!!
I think the explosive move is great way to get injury, trust me guys it’s not worth it, I got injury when I was a teenager and whenever I go back to the gym and try harder the injury comes back to me (not like before but still) so it’s better to go easy and do more reps. And remember the building is in the kitchen not the gym itself.
Mike I’m training for like 5/6 months now. Started with 10 kg bench and im benching 15 now. With the dumbell press im not getting any progression, just staying at 12 kgs. I always ask myself what im doing wrong cause my strength is just not getting better how it should be I think. Hope this tips will get me any further! Thanks
Hey Mike, what do you do for your hair loss? Your hair looks awesome lately… Being that I’m losing my hair rapidly,I need all the help I can get
Jeremy, you are the real exercise scientist. Excellent theoretical and practical content.
lol why do you guys think that a guy with what 20 yrs of training cant possiblly do 180kg for 3-4 reps without slaming the weight like a dumbass and actually control it all the way down and obviously we see that 5 plates is too much for him and his technique is breaking down…you dont know how he is training and how he is periodizing his training but you are 100% sure that there is no way he can control 200 the way he does?
People need to stfu if there fake who the hell cares its for demonstration purposes he not claiming world records or look how strong i am. Most people won’t take good information unless the person lifting stupid heavy
“ 3:04 Think about pushing the floor away with your feet while lifting the bar” = the same good advice I got when starting out in highschool
Wilt Chamberlain used to work 600 pounds bench press…. do you know that? Imagine how strong he was.
Hey Mike, I was just wondering why arent you using any lifting shoes for leg day? I even saw justin wearing them in the begining
Would using straps with hooks to hold the bar help or hinder the lift?
https://www.adventuresdream.com/how-to-deadlift/
The deadlift is one of the most praising exercises existing, and you should know how to Deadlift!
Some people will threaten you by saying that deadlifting is a dangerous exercise. But the truth is, nothing is terrifying doing the deadlift.
visit the link for full detailed information
Just came across this video and I must say thank you! This is the most detailed, straight to the point video I have found! Also wanna add that I saw how many subs you have and I couldn’t believe it! I was expecting millions.! You deserve that! Hopefully you’ll get there soon girl!!
I have problems because I know I want to slim down so I should do lower weight and higher reps but I also like doing high weights to see how strong I can be. But it sucks cause I feel like when I do heavier weights, I get a little bulky. How can I combine heavy lifting into my sets but still lengthen and slim my muscles?
How do I work on my core strength? You might have mentioned it, and I missed it. Is doing what you showed us going to work our core?
Ok Brix I need a large tee shirt soon I will get that medium lol. When will you be getting more? Love you and Cami
Being new to the gym and having only youtube as a coach makes me overthink if i’m doing the exercises correctly and have the right form
Re-watching this video pretty much confirms to me that Jeff is legit so yeah that’s my opinion
So let’s say I lift heavier and heavier but dosent it come down to a point were its unreasonable to keep lifting even heavier. When you hit the limit then what? How do you keep your fit body or challenge it to stay like that? Do lift lighter again? Do you switch up to resistance training and then go back to lifting heavy but start all over from like let’s say 3olb?
I’m so confused
I don’t know what to believe… The people hating on Jeff or his fans…
Pause at 3:50 he still bends the bar so nobody can tell me he isn’t strong. I’ve seen unreal results from his programs. And unless he does something ridiculous, I’m not leaving his side. TEAM ATHLEAN FOREVER
1. Avoid starting with your hips too low.
2. Avoid rounding your back as you lift.
3. Avoid swaying the bar as you pull.
4. Avoid jerking the weight.
5. Avoid overextending during lockout. (Pelvic Tilt)
Thanks so much for answering my question, that was quick! I will definitely follow your advice, thanks guys!
Girls should definitely lift heavy! But what you lift is still always specific to your own body and your own strength. The advice in the video still applies.
awesome! I have been doing around 10-13 reps with a higher weight as opposed to the 15-20 you have mentioned. I assume that you are saying this for beginners in order to work on endurance but I am also looking to build some muscle size/strength. So should I be doing more reps or is that fine?
Also I am the same height as you!
This guy is my favourite on YouTube. He is very knowledgeable and helps me not get hurt. ♥️
Awesome video!! Really helps to increase my bench press limit
real plates or not, this guy still helped so many guys with his information.
So, this video is talking about bad form when trying to push more weight. Seems like a good idea to use fake weights so the instructor doesn’t injure themselves while doing multiple takes showing the bad form. ♂️
no matter what people say, the results i got from following jeff are real.
I’m confused about the controversy. I’m 52. Five foot six. 176 lbs. If I was as lean as him I bet I’d be 140. I did 5 reps with 300 lbs the other day and I never train consistently.500 just doesn’t seem like that much for a fitness professional his size. He’s admitting it’s too much for him to work out with. It’s most likely near his max. If he used European plates or not it seems strange to me that he would need to use fake ones to prove he’s not strong enough to use them. Agreed the odds of anyone but a rock climber needing to be that lean for optimal performance are small and the odds of hitting maximum strength in any lift go down if you starve yourself but I’ve mostly watched his channel for his knowledge of correctives and ways to improve exercises. I was never interested in how strong he was. He’s not a power lifter. He’s a trainer.
I’ve always aspired to be as strong as I could be at the lightest I could do it while still feeling healthy for climbing so his advice is good for me. He’s not the guy I would have been watching if I wanted to power lift anyway.
Talking about being the weakest, meantime i was 6.2ft and 130 pounds cause of being sick for 8 years^” Could barely bench 15kg
All you have to do is work on your triceps and your stability muscles and use your legs
You a real brother much love thanks for all your encouraging words
i dont see what the big deal is. its even about not lifting too heavy. leave your ego at the door.
3:13 I love how even he say “We got these… uh.. weird 44lb plates” lmao. Even Jeff thinks something is a little weird with the weights lol
Ooohhhh. That was 32.5 kg!!! I thought Mike straight up jumped to 325 kg from 30 kg
Form….is important for not getting injured…maybe focus on that?
LOL all this backstabbing btches returning to hate on Jeff. We aren’t fanboys, we watch his videos not for his lifting feats, but for his knowledge on human anatomy and the fundamental ways to do the best exercises that are safe and effective. Hate all you want…just know all you’re doing is jumping onto a hate bandwagon that is hypocritically.
When doing sets, should you switch the exercise in btween reps or complete all the reps in the set before moving on to another exercise?
thx, rn im doing bench without any heavy weights, trying to get the form correctly since i still wiggle left and right with barbell
tho ik i could prob put around max 10-15kg of load on to the barbell, but does it change anything from going low reps increased weight to more reps lower weight?
Hello Mike, really enjoying your videos,I have been lifting for almost 25 years and still learning techniques you provide on the nutritional and recovery from your tuition.
Keep them coming.
Dominic from South Africa
Guys don’t get disappointed… a lot of bench depends on physics as opposed to strength. If you have long arms and an athletic build… as opposed to short arms and a thick build… you will be at a disadvantage in terms of weight. Doesn’t mean you’re weaker… just means you have a farther ROM to travel.
Thank you for the videos and your advice! Your an inspiration to all us trying to get the weight off by making it a lifestyle change not just a diet!!
TO ALL OF SAYING BULLSHIT… HE HAS BEEN LIFTING HIS WHOLE LIFE.. YES THE WEIGHTS ARE REAL.
With regards to increasing strength & size whilst cutting, What are your thoughts on this when coming from a lay off period. I was bulking and then was unable to train for 6 weeks at all, after which my training wasn’t consistent at all. Now I’ve got back in a routine looking to bring my lifts back up but also in a calorie deficit, do you think it’ll be possible or one or the other
Love the video bro. I’m hope your back is good when demonstrating a bad DL lol
Some of these are dumb tips. Example imagine the bar explodes off your chest.
Brix I need a T-shirt please! Where can I go to buy a shirt? (Excuses are monuments of nothing that build bridges to nowhere and thoughts who use these tools are masters on nothing.) by TAJ
Did he really just use a clip from Rurouni Kenshin to illustrate form? lolol
Umm..Jeff’s legs are scary looking defined so..i dunno to believe all the craziness..still supporting the channel
TRUE, form is very important, but if you don’t go moderately heavy, you ain’t doin’ shit. So I agree with the last two reps being hard
This is great that women are getting involved in weight training. Makes it easier for us men that are over 50 and especially over 70 that we can ask young women to do more of the heavier lifting of furniture or what ever around the house that starts to get too heavy for us older men. My gender often gets the impression that we need young adult males to help with the heavy duty lifting but don’t realize that young women are just as capable as young men in lifting the heavy duty stuff. Young women can lift the heavy duty stuff on average better than us older senior citizen aged or close to senior citizen aged men.
Watch Mike before the gym, listen to Eric Thomas, Ray Lewis and Greg Plitt shout in your ear during the workout is a recipe for success
why tf are ppl trying to prove some sht tat happened 5 years ago
Whos here after Jeff lifted 425 on his last video and looked right into the camera lmao
New subscriber ♀️. I haven’t had a chance to look through all your videos yet so forgive me if you’ve already done this. Can you do a workout routine video for beginners? I’m just starting out and feel a bit lost as to what my routine should be.
perfectly explained. I so needed this. Shut mixed information-reps, sets, sets reps… challenge. THANK YOU!

How to deadlift correctly?
Aspects Covered in article above:
️ Hand placement
️ Feet placement
️ 6 common mistakes
️ Body posture
️ Variations
One of the best exercises you can do for muscle building and fat loss, if you do it in right way with a proper form.
Neutral Spine ✅
Chest up and out ✅
Shoulders retracted ✅
Back straight ✅
Neck aligned with spine ✅
Lats engaged ✅
A great movement to build muscles of back, legs, core and traps muscles. In fact, you can say that it is an exercise that works the whole body.
#deadlift
“Heavy enough to barely squeeze out 8 reps” OR don’t do that and start small and build up.
Man, you are awesome! Finally, someone demystifies this topic for me. You sir have a new subscriber.
I just subscribed, I believe this will be helpful I’m beginning to use weight, thanks for the advise these videos will be just what I need!
I’m not sure the controversy is even valid here. He’s demoing how form and technique break down under heavier load. That means he’s intentionally using less than perfect form. I guess he could actually put his back at risk and cripple his knees for people’s entertainment, but what makes more sense is to present hypothetical scenarios and show what this would look like while staying safe weight ranges.
I like how kelly keeps looking at daniel when he’s talking.. so cute
Noticed you’ve been travelling about lately via your instagram. Hope you’ve enjoyed that. Another informative/great video. Thanks.
Great video! Thanks for the details that so many do not provide.
literally watching this video right after my pre-workout meal and two hours before my workout just to get motivated
Hey Brix around what weight should you start working out abs
How often do you stretch and when should you do mobility stretching etc? Like a vid on mobility would be ideal! Keep up the work
Loving the outtakes! This was a very informative video. I look forward to starting your workouts and hating you through them, but feeling great afterwards. 😉
Never look for a easy way… People who lifte heavy in BP doesn’t get it done in 1Day, me or year but YEARS.
THE EASY ONLY WAY FOR EASY IS STEROIDS.
You just need patience to achieve the best
My classmates laughed when I told them I would burn up fat with “Lean Body Maximizer”, but then I showed them the results. Do a search on google for “Lean Body Maximizer” to see their reaction. (You should see their faces!)
Any tips for someone working out at home? I don’t have access to a gym. I have a treadmill at home I’ve been using regularly for about six months and I want to get some weights to add in, but I don’t have space or money for more machines at home.
What’s the best tempo for performing both compound & isolation movements as well as rest time during hypertrophy training Mike?
That dialect daniel showcased was so accurate! I’m impressed!
Omg I was at 110 yesterday now today I’m at 984 bro this shits crazy
I amblike 2 meters and 130 kilograms and i can bench like 10 kg shit
Hi guys, what do you think of CLA supplements? Does it work? I already aks this but you never reply, i hope you can this time, btw i love your videos, and definately seeing some results =)
Is it a good idea to do bench press when you can barley do push-ups?
(I can do 12 normal push-ups and 38 more knee pushups)
This is another gem! I was like a bull in a china shop when i was lifting
Love to see you perform your max deadlift with all this perfect form. I know perfect form isn’t possible all the time, but I really wonder how much “imperfection” is allowed when it comes to doing your max. My back isn’t straight when I do my max, but I also don’t have any kind of discomfort or pain during or after performing my max with this imperfect form, that’s what I’m getting at.
Question, if I have massive balls and a very large penis, how do I avoid squeezing them with my legs while deadlifting?
FINALLY the number one question since I started muscle workouts is answered. Thank you, and thanks for making me laugh:)
good job with the mix of video but most important with the info. i wished when i started i could have listen to a video like this one and not have to try everything wih trial and error. every beginer should listen an wach the video as many times needed until he understand everything ps: glad to be apart of the video 😉
Did you have to get skin reduction surgery around your chest and stomach after you lost all your weight?
Hi Mike
How’s ur injured shoulder right now??? Did u recover from it completely??? If yes and possible could u please share with us how did u go about fully recovering it. Thanks.
BHIYA I AM IN CLASS 11 AND IN THIS CORNA TIME I WANT TO DO WORKOUT AS I AM VERY FAT SO I WOULD LIKE TO ORDER THE DUMBLES FROM FLIPKART SO WHICH TYPE OF WEIGHT I SHOUULD BUY PLS TEL>>>>>>>>>>>
Leave your ego at the door.
People go to heavy sacrificing their form.
Great content Mike, you speak knowledge directly from your experience
Thanks SO much for this! You described me to a T going heavier because that’s what I thought I should be doing. After seeing this, I’ve been doing your upper body weight workout but going slower, and paying strict attention to form. The amount of weight was cut in half, but boy can my arms feel it. THANK YOU!
I broke my wrist couple days back, it absolutely sucks. I can train legs only with machines basically, but almost nothing else. Been watching hell of a lot of your videos, and i gotta say im full of motivation and energy, when im able to go to the gym normally again, gonna kill it like crazy. Thank you so much for your amazing content, Mike.
People can embed our videos directly from YouTube, from our channel, but it’s illegal to download or reupload them in any other way. Thanks for sharing!
Haha! Local plastic surgeon. Thank you for this answer. Helps a lot!
I don’t think they mind if you share their video! It’s good publicity for them!:)
This Recommendation was sent from the Divines themselves in this Time of Controversy
Hes right.. just tried it and sweated immediately.. damn i was doing it wrong the whole time
i cannot for the life of me figure out how to purchase the 8 week program off your website. please help??
I use 3kg\6kg dumbbells and 12kg\16kg kettlebells. I’m 185cm tall and weigh 86 kg.
12kg kettlebell is starting to be too easy for me. Thanks to you guys!
1kg is roughly 2.2 pounds.
It’s only 226kg even if it’s fake weight I have no doubt at all that Jeff can handle that for real. He’s much stronger than me and I can dead lift 200kg after 5 months at the gym. I should probably take into consideration that I’m on TRT but fuck surely he can. Regardless his channel has really educated me on proper form etc so I couldn’t care less if that weights are fake.
44 lb plates isn’t uncommon, its exactly 20kg and most of the world outside of U.S. has 20kg plates.
You’re promoting ego lifting… you have low self-esteem and inferior complex… heavy bench press is not sustainable… people lie about their bench press poundage anyway…. the same as they lie about steroid usage….
Powerlifting is a sport unto itself… powerlifters cycle their poundage year a round timed for competition!
Excellent tips here. Though I’d recommend everyone to bring someone to judge your form.
What about crossfit? As a girl, I don’t know if I should lift heavy (as everyone else) in order to have the best results (which for me is lose weight and tone).
OMG! the end of the video, hilarious! Great info! Now how should I use weights to lose weigh? I need to lose 10 more pounds, partly in mid section too. What weight training should I use? I watch your vids and go to the gym. Thanks you guys are awesome!
So informative! Thank you for all your hard work truly appreciate it.
That last bit brought me back to life. Nice to know you’re human
Remind me again how to remove the sticky points after coming on my chest
school opens up in about a month and I want to get my body as together as possible before it opens up
The youtube algorithm is rather quite impressive to reccomend this to me today out of all days
Hey dumbasses! You can flare your elbows while benching if you have the shoulder strength to do it
Dead benching actually works. Make sure those supports are in right or you will be dead when that weight comes down on you.
question if I’m working out say arms and chest and I’m not sore the next day did I not lift heavy enough even though I did 4×10 on mostly resistance machine and other related machines I guess my question is do I have to be sore to be getting a effective workout
Training for a half marathon and want to incorporate weights to help tone and lose weight…what would you suggest if I run 4 days a week, what should I do for the other days for weights?
I used to weigh 57kgs and can only bench press 10kgs. I feel so emberassed. I also only feel the burn in my tricep and shoulder and nothing in my chest
Damn this came out five years ago, why is it such a big deal now?
How many sets do you do pre machine for beginning like 15 then change machines
I’m afraid to go bac to deadlift because of injury twice related to it…bt I know it’s an imp component to add in my routine
really helpful, thnx a lot!
i hope you say how much weigh you use in kilos so that we greek funs get the point:P
One time I was spotting my lifting partner in high school and he was benching a lot of weight. He asked me for help but instead I called him weak, pulled down my shorts, pissed all over his face and I ran away laughing.
Hi Daniel and Kelly I love your workouts that you guys put on youtube they rock!! I see quite a number of videos about the squat challenge. I wanted to know your take on it, and if you could you do a workout involving the squat challenge? I would also like like to know if you guys will be featuring more Tabata AABB workouts in the future? Thanks you two!!:)
phuk it, everyone just use CrossFit plates…those are like 5lbs but look like 50lbs and come in all sorts of nice colors.
Deadlift risk reward ratio is horrible so I wouldn’t suggest doing it for gains
Speed isn’t always bad. Power (defined as force x velocity) can be trained by doing the concentric (lifting phase) quickly, and the eccentric (lowering) phase slowly. The slow lowering phase is important however, so you don’t start cheating with momentum, as they stated.
A mental cue that really helps me with bench is to imagine there is a coiled spring between the bar and your chest. As the bar touches your chest you imagine the spring is released, exploding the weight up.
I think I’m just weak cause i only can do 10 or 15 on both sides
haha well he isn’t bragging about it he is just demonstrating what not to do as far as lifting too heavy.
Subscribed, you give the best advice definitely the best online been watching you for a long time, good work bro
Clear and concise…I’m making A LOT of mistakes on my deadlifts.
And oh I definitely have an anterior pelvic tilt situation. Gotta watch that video next
I’m fat and not very strong and 5,11 and 14 I want to think 25kg for 8 is good but I don’t know
This video was excellent thank you! I just bought a gym pass (I’m super skinny and want to get bigger) I want to do weight training but it’s so intimidating lol. When you first started weight training did you have any fears of going into the weights section? If so how did you overcome them? I just feel really intimidated because I don’t know what I’m doing.
I gotta say, this is the best ratio of content quality / time when it comes to fitness videos.
Thanks for the the tips and tricks, but i would like to ask you a favor (I’ve fallen in love with your lipstick color) What’s the brand name and color number of the lipstick!
0:44
That guy is flaring his elbows too much. He is literally asking for a shoulder impingement.
I want to start weightlifting, but I’m not sure if I should start with a 50lb weight, I weigh 155lbs and I’m 5’4
Help one of your Bras out, whats ur gym playlist like when u go to the GOLD’S??? Mine always be classic rock like Metallica, Slipknot or the new band like the Delta Parole. What urs bra?
You motivated me to loose 60 pounds. Still going. Thanks brother.
lol so the controversy belongs to a video dating 4 years back?
You got almost 50k followers with only 500 likes??? Damn.. fat lazy people don’t even like the videos!
4:01 Don’t do that on planet fitness, you’ll end up in a “gym idiots video”..
Holy shit, struggling with recovery, stress and energy atm, this video is a life saver, thanks a bunch!
One question, how long does it take a second per rep? I heard it takes 4 seconds per rep. Another question is, how long does it take per set and rep? I heard that less than 30 seconds will kill your gain and not giving your pain. Is that true?
When I was in highschool I didn’t have to go that hard to get gain strength. At 23 sitting in prison, just had to steadily work out to get stronger. Now at 32 and starting to work out after 6 years of being lazy it looks like it will be a much harder road
I can only do 315 and my homie does 425 thanks for the tips homie
Im kind of new to working out so my max was 1 rep 52.5kg(115lbs) and after these tips i pumped out 2 and maybe a half at 55kg(121lbs). Very helpful!:)
Has anyone else the impression Jeff does some kind of “role play” of a person increasing weight to demonstrate how the form deteriorates? It does not sound as he as actually talking about himself here so I wouldn’t mind fake weights at all.
How is this fake? He simply said that he cannot do 500 pounds with correct posture and it’s difficult for him. It shows.
I also tell my friends the same things, namely:
1) For building muscle, go heavy and keep the reps low. You don’t do 20+ reps of a light weight if you want large biceps, etc.
2) Some muscles need more exercises to grow. Biceps are small, and people tend to focus on them, that’s why you see some guys with huge biceps and flat chest. Remember, balance and proportions are key to looking great.
3) Keep the form strict. Champions and pros will cheat a bit ONLY to get one or two last reps!!!
Hey man, i love your videos. Your tipps are great, I start to lose weight. i can not tell how much you motivated and keep motivating me. keep going man. greetz from germany
I never bench press i started do it month ago I been watching you I went to 125 now I’m lifting 165 I never thought I do this helps me thanks
Sometimes u gotta say fuck it! It is what it is! If they r gonna talk they r gonna talk
I’m tryna find an alternative to these exercises because most of them are in the gym and it’s during corona smh
researchers concluded you couldn’t lift the weight because you couldn’t lift the weight… got it.
One other question sir. How can I motivate my husband to go to the gym?I know it would make a big difference in his body. He is 47 and has a physical job. However he always complain of aches and pain. He is OUT of Shape. Slim and no muscle
First step: Stop using crossfit weights cause its gay.
You are welcome.
you guys are way too cute! so funny haha. I think I’ve found the right weight for me but when I do tricep extensions, my right elbow seems to feel a bit funny, and the feeling wont go away until I drop the weight completely. Do you guys have any idea what could be the cause of this? It’s fine during other exercises?
The only thing I notice I would change is the position of your elbows, benching like that could ruin your shoulders…bring them in more
If you came for the fake weights controversy, go to min 3:30– 4:20, he’s accepting he has a bad form and risking injury with 5 plates which he also accepts is more than he can manage. End of “controversy” here, no need to use fake weights to impress us if he’s already accepting its too much weight for him…
YOU LOOK SO DIFFERENT IN EACH VIDEO, AND, WHAT I SEE IN THIS ONE IS LITERALLY THE PRETTIEST THING I’VE EVER SEEN!!! YOU’RE TOO BEAUTIFUL THAT I COULDN’T EVEN PAY ATTENTION WHAT WHAT YOU WERE SAYING LOL
Came here after trying to deadlift seriously for the first time outside a planet fitness and wondering why my lower back hurt so much. First mistake solved it. Thanks man.
that man at the nike camp jumped out the building and they were outside
When I first ever did a deadlift, my max was 180kg with a decent form, that 220kg in the video, if you build in deadlifts in your routine you can achive sooner than you think. My opinion is that.
This was tremendously helpful. Thank you so much! The only solution I want to recommend to anyone who wants to gain more height is(Growth Boom Pro)height system..
This is the only solution that works, although I’ ve tried many products..After I was 23, I gained 5 inches in height in 2 years.
Today the second time I ever deadlifted I did 305 at 170 is that good
Very good video. Just did my first deadlifts while receiving 1 on 1 advice from my physio. Especially preventing the round back by tilting the pelvis was “hard”for me. Took me like 3 tries and need to be mindful. Mirror was a big help. I did however kept my arse in the sky. Will drop it a bit next time. I now have already 3 days rock hard (muscle ache) hamstrings. I just lifted the bar (20kg 3 reps 10x). 186cm 85kg. This exercise is a keeper.
I just found this video, thank you so much for truly explaining how beginners should start! I’ve been going to the gym for a while but now I really want to start squatting and deadlifting and your video really helped me out!
Great advice Mike really good tips to break the plateau! Related to this how important are deloading days to help muscles repair?
great video and the intro are so motivating, keep up the good content the vid are direct to the point and very informative, new subscriber here!!!
I think he’s just showing proper posture and form. Who cares if the weights are fake
I have absolutely no muscle mass and have stick arms lmao. I hope I become dedicated to this lifestyle Thank you.
Ok, nice video and so on and so forth, but the real question i want answered is how the fuck that guy at 0:36 can jump so high? That’s like trampoline level heights, isn’t it?
I DONT KNOW WHAT IM DOING WRONG IM STARTING OF WITH FLAT BENCH THEN ON TO INCLINE BARBELL THEN FLYS THEN ILL USE THE BENCH PRESS I FELL THE DIFRENCE BUT MY LOWER AND NIPPLE ARIA ARENT CHANGING I CAN SEE THE LINE DEFINITION THANKS
The spine doesnt stay straight it goes into Flexion when it’s in “neutral”. Nothing wrong with back rounding either
This is the video everyone lost their shit over? Ridiculous. The information is solid.
Awesome vlog. Very easy to understand. I definitely interested in your physique Transformers course. Looking to build some size
I guess I don’t see it. I’m 15 yrs older, 5 pounds lighter and I dead lift 350.
This helps me alot thank you teaching me alot of things I ddnt know
yo man I been fighting with this issue of reps vs weight for weeks I appreciate the video
After all the discussion about fake weight, I clearly understand on this video that Jeff show us an example of his purpose. And as an example, it doesn’t mean it’s the reality. Talking us about 500 lbs is only to give us a number close to a serious number that a lot of Sunday lifter couldn’t never attempt but I clearly understand he take this number to impact the demonstration. So ok, it’s clearly fake weights but it’s all about teaching us that over trust of ourselves during a session is very dangerous and we all know what’s it means: wrong position, pain, trouble… Whatever thinks far and not only on what you see, keep going Jeff no need to explain the reason you do that, it’s easy to understand.
can you guy tell me how long would it take for me to gain or show more abs I’m kinda skinny I just have a little fat in my stomach. Or Could you tell me how to do it.
Gotta love it when someone pulls out scientific studies. nice video, very informative
For reps 12 to 20 can you do 3 sets of 15? Or you can go 20 17 15 then 12
You say that you would lift for 2 days on and one off while trying to lift for strength but do you change that if you are lifting for size? Im kind of confused, as some people say there is almost no difference in lifting for size over strength. What classifies lifting for strength? Below 5 reps???
Youtube has a funny way of fanning the flame of controversies hasn’t it?
you guys really make me laugh. You should make a bloopers video of all the random things that happen.
If i have a pelvic tilt but otherwise do deadlift perfectly, am I still in danger of injuring my back?
I love your channel! Honestly in the past weeks I’ve learned so much from you it’s so educational and learned a lot of the things I’ve been doing wrong over the course of my years. Can’t thank you enough.
Hello Sir I want to gain weight
My weight is 61kg And h height 180cm
Brix love your channel! im 35 been working out on and off for years. get fit then quit! for the last 6 months im back at it dropped 25 pounds and at solid 180 lbs. I watch your video to get ideas and knowledge. if you ever in the Orlando area you got a work out partner here!
Mike…I laughed my ASS off during 5:20 when you entered the doorway from the side. I love your humor and love the videos man. Hopefully i’ll cut down some fat over the next few months and will enter the gym this coming fall. Looking into getting your website/app stuff so I can know what to do in the gym:)
nice video dude…i know it’s wrong to workout 7 days per week…..i can’t stop..
So some scumbag had to dig up a 4 year old video just so he could come after Jeff and try to build up a following off of it?
Listen, I do gym since 18 years and this guy here gave the most straight forward, complete and issue detailed explaination of deadlift and relative problems. Cheers and you got a new subscriber
I was treating it too much like a squat and sitting too far back. Thanks, Jeremy!
Brix can you explain what exercises to do if your skinny fat
Hi mike can you do a video on form please and how important it is. I have been training over two years and coming upto 50. I find I often injure my self when I lose form squeezing out the last couple of reps. Is it better to keep the form strict and if you can’t get the weight up with out losing form just stop? Cheers Terry
This tutorial is EXCELLENT mate well done. Thank you for posting. It’s extremely informative and one of the best deadlift instructions I’ve come across
This was the only video on YouTube that I found to explain this, which was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you, you’ve gained a new subscriber
Hey Mike, how do you remember what exact weight you are lifting week to week for every exercise? Do you have an app that you store the info in or just a solid memory?
So lift same weight for all 3 sets? And then move weoght or reps up next week and so on?
All these videos do is scare me away from working out…as in if i’m not perfect from day 1 I’m fucked.
Lol 30 degrees and you are boiling haha, here where I live we are at 40, yesterday we reached 44 I couldn’t even breath
Nice video btw you are awesome
On their site put your mouse over “Workouts” at the top of their page and then click “Printable Workout Routines.” there you will see their 8-week workouts click “Continue Reading” for whichever one you want, and finally click the blue link which says “8 week fat loss or boot camp” depends on which you chose.
You should just do a bunch of funny videos and we can all burn calories laughing!!
I love how you say “such that” like this is a geometry proof
Probably a silly question but I’m just starting out doing deadlifts, between reps should I put the bar on the floor or is it ok to just go down low then power back up?
I train 4 days of weight lifting, the other three days push ups, pull ups and cardio, do you think this is to much?
I’ve been exercising at home but I havent gone to a gym. When should I start with the deadlifts?
This is a completely new hobby for me, thank you for all this great info, subbing for sure <3
By far the most helpful video I’ve seen yet. This cleared so much up for me, thank you
I went from 155lbs max to 175lbs in about 3 weeks, got stuck there for like a 2 weeks (couldn’t bench anything over 175lbs and then all of a sudden I was able to bench 190lbs. Now, about 3 weeks later I can bench 195lbs and the last 2 weeks I haven’t been able to bench that 200 which has been my goal ever since I started going to the gym 2 months ago.
My bench is horrible. Can’t seem to fix it. I seem to be unable to keep my back tight and keep my shoulders down while executing the movement. I usually struggle with activating my chest and my shoulders carry most of the force. It’s so frustrating
Mikeeeeee I dislocated my left shoulder what should I do!! I just don’t feel confident anymore
This video was made 4 years ago. When you know something about sports than you should know that a lot can change in 4 years. Jeff, great content
I left the gym early yesterday because I was intimidated by how the men was hogging the Smith machine. I’m new to lifting and want to give it a try but I can never get a machine.
Ayy it’s simple just bench weight and lift harder that’s why I can bench 185 in the 8thgrade
I feel my form is way off, I’m 15 and my max bench right now is 72kg at 5’9”, 82kg bodyweight.. I’m going to use these tips next time I bench so thanks for the vid
Thanks for taking your time making this awesome video and sharing your great advice!! Most other people I have seen overcomplicate the answer to this question.
I lifted for 3 months consistently in the past, but took a 3 month break. I am unhappy with my level of body fat, i would consider myself “skinny fat.” Should I recomp or eat in a slight caloric surplus? I just started a recomp program a couple days ago, but unsure if it will work. I am currently consuming 2,700 calories on workout days (5 days) and planning on eating 2,100 calories on my rest days. P.S. my maintenance is 2,600 @ 150 lbs. 5’9. Any advice would be much appreciated
I AM female and new to the gym. WHAT WEIGHT dumbbell should I use that won’t give me pain the morning after. Currently I have been using the chest press as it gives me such Rota cuff ache for about a month. Awful. Can you recommend. The general vibe at my gym is ” just pick up whatever you want ” but that’s crazy isn’t it? In the past I was always taught to not grab anything randomly, it could do you an injury. Can you advise please? Thank you xxxx
This is supper helpful! I’m 17 trying to get into lifting to get rid of some stubborn fat and get leaned this helped alot, thank you!
Congrats on your amazing transformation, and thanks fo the information. Good stuff.
How long should i do same program for exercises,i usually change them.
dude, build a chest before u make videos about how to use it
please make a video on intermittent fasting, big up from Trinidad And Tobago
BOOM!!! I bet you back for the comments yep just like a good movie you see something different every time you watch.
I’VE BEEN WATCHING A LOT OF YOUR VIDEOS RECENTLY BECAUSE I JUST STARTED WORKing out again. Your videos have been VERY informative and they are helping me correct my mistakes. This has been one of them. Thank you so much! Can you do a video to demonstrate proper form for different workouts? Or rather can you recommend a source for this information? Thank you!
how many excrcise for each muscle we should do if we train the muscle two times a week like upper and lower
pleaase
Thank you Mr. Brix n the Mrs. Im new to the body tranfo arena. From my heaviest 260 down to 175 but just got put on to ur channel n you guys touch on everything from well being mental status issues n technique. Im alone in my journey n really have no idea what I was doing so u guys are helping out alot. Thank you guys sooo much and many Blessings and Prosperity to you.
hell yeah!!! good info, exactly what i needed to know, thanks for the good insight
Interesting how the first two plates are completely different to the extra 3 he puts on..
They talk about fake weights and then show online where to get them makes me question them to be honest and little do they know the real ones that aren’t fake are at walmart and Jeff lives in the same state as me and Walmart ain’t far from his Gym lmfao notice how a lot of fitness guys jumped onto this topic because he’s bigger than them lol all youtubers do this shit Jeff should make a video buying a plate and showing how heavy it is to shut them all up
I thought that the magical rep number was between 8 to 12 for muscle growth.. isn’t it?
Very helpful information bruh! Question, does it make since to do high reps if you have been lifting for awhile, say 2 years?
Thanks for this! I’ve been wondering about this for a while now and finally looked it up.This video explained it perfectly.
Do you happen to have another video about the difference between hypertrophy, strength and endurance training?
is it ok to use less weight if I start swinging and fell like I can’t do more?for example: if I did 2 sets of dumbbell curles with 5kg,is it ok to do the third one with 4kg?
What is your diet? I struggle with diet….what the hell should i be eating? I have gained 20 pounds in 3 months eating more but I feel like I am just getting fatter even though I gobble up pounds of chicken and protein powder…
It’s nice to see the context to the “controversy” it’s pretty clear this is for demonstration and people are making something of nothing. How many people “calling him out” bothered to listen to the actual lesson and learn what he is teaching? Jeff’s videos have helped me a lot, after watching the video I don’t care if all the plates are styrofoamthe lesson is what I came for and it’s still valuable
…..New to your channel man. You are DEFINATELY an inspiration to mee. When I feel like stopping, my wife says, ” What would Brix do?” Thanx again man for the inspiration and videos!, PEACE…..
I like mike use kgs!! greats not lbs wich hand straps you recommend
Thank you, I been thinking about this. I think I can go up to 15lbs on dumbbells.
Brix, don’t know if you touched on this but can you speak on whether or not you should switch up your workout routines?
Hi everyone.! I am 41 and have never done weight lifting. Is it risky to begin at this age?
Jeff is the best trainer, i tried everytning that he said and shown in every single video and is 100000% right Best youtube channel ever. So many people envy him because he is better and got more than 10millions subscribers…, respect for you Jeff
Mike you are boiling in 30 decrees Celsius? Here we are burning in 40°C. By the way nice vid.
favourite fitness youtube just have so much knowledge and never talk shit straight to the point
that moment when ur procrastinating cutting and u just bulk forever but inly u can tell bc u have fat covering your 6 pack smh
OMG I DARE you to make an entire spoofy WO video in that accent Daniel! LMFAO!
Literally found you guys yesterday and I love all your vids! Great channel:)
Almost 500 lbs?? I just look at his calfs alone and I know he cant DL anything like that
Funny for this video to show up in my recommends lol What’s crazy is before Jeff puts those other plates on you can hear the sound of the bar and weights touching the ground, but then once those extra plates are on the sound is gone hmm Oh well, Jeff still gives solid advice tho.
Wazup Mike, whats your thoughts on mixing calisthenics and gym workout to gain muscles? (and your opinion on calisthenics in generally). Thanks coach BIG MIKE:)
So this is the controversial video(made 4 years ago). Well from what i see, he does not claim that he can really lift 500 pounds. He is using the 500 pounds as a representation of his limits and a way to teach. The first 3 or 4 plates are definitely real as i see, and he was clearly stressing that 4th one. The last one is the fake one it seems. Anyway even if he does not address it, it doesnt matter. He is still giving great advises
Hey man I find your videos very interesting and im wondering if you could make a video of the most common injuries when hitting a gym and how to treat them… if you already have a video like that i pretty new to your channel so if not it would be a lovely one cause everybody has gone through injuries! Thanks
thx for the upload I was confuse about what I’m going to do in the gym today… I appreciate your love bro
Demonstrating and tutorial purposes only, while saving ur back, notice he wasn’t wearing a belt. No duchette ( nut) hugger here.
This video was very helpful! Thank you so much for making this! ❤️
He probably just added fake plates to show the wrong way to do an exercise without injuring himself. He’s using it for demonstration purposes only and the way he mentions those “weird 44 plates” sounded a bit like he’s aware of them being fake and just letting other more experienced gym goers know that he knows they are fake. The guy is obviously brutally fit so why bother looking into whether or not the weights are fake in what is essentially a “tutorial” where serious injuries are very possible.
I love your videos dude and you are cool because you workouting very good, and you helping others to improve they results in the gym, respect dude,by the way your gym exercises are also good,i am subscribded you.
I have been doing 4 sets of 12 I have seem great results and I also being doing only 10 sec rest I have burnt a lot of body fat that way and I’m not in the gym no longer then a hour but great video
Youtube algorithm: hmmmm i smell controversy… lemme just fan the flames a little bit and sneak this vid into everyone’s feeds
Anyone know what brand or type of shin (protector) sleeves are best for deadlifts?
hey Mike, awesome advice as always!! today at the gym i challenged myself. i did tricep pushdowns 4 sets, 210 pounds, 20 reps for the first 3 sets, 16 for the 4th set. chest presses 4 sets, 165 pounds, 20 reps all 4 sets. shoulder presses, 4 sets, 105 pounds, 15 reps all 4 sets. bench presses, 4 sets, 20 reps all 4 sets. tricep cable push downs, 4 sets, 140 pounds, 20 reps all 4 sets. overhead triceps on the cable machine, 4 sets, 140 pounds, 20 reps all 4 sets!! when i left the gym, i felt like i had added 4 pounds of Muscle. i know i didn`t, but that`s way my Muscles felt after getting a really good pump on!! tomorrow is pull day!!! i`m going to challenge myself yet again. not bad for 67 years old, and after having had quadruple bypass surgery March 9th. 2017!! thank you so much for sharing my friend, with love from Wes!! hugs!!!
p.s. i need to apologize!! i gave the weights for my tricep push down (extensions) for my tricep overhead exercise. for the overheard triceps exercise i`m actually going around 60 pounds and 15 reps. for 4 sets!!
This is a completely new hobby for me, thank you for all this great info, subbing for sure <3
So glad you made this video! I need all the mods for lower weights and appreciate you making this video. Thanks!
Still subscribed to your channel until someone comes out with an undeniable proof of your “fake weights”. But i don’t think there’s gonna be one. No one tells me what to believe.
what if you start squating down, how did you prevent this from happening?
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched tho because I get mansplained and think I’m doing it wrong. Straight back, feet apart, bar under shoulders, contact with legs throughout movement.
So does this mean that I can do these exercises without following any special programmes or choosing specific weights? Just like it was said in the video, can I just do reps until my muscles start to “fail”, and then I just take a break and do another set until my muscles start to fail again, regardless of the total reps?
I want to start doing exercises with dumbbells at home, but I’m a bit confused about what weights I need to purchase and what exercise plan to follow in order to see good results.
could you make a video showing what the easiest way to track progress is?
it is safe to do workout during period? what is kind of workout bad and good to do it during period?
also i want to think guys, your workout is effecting me
I’m 18 and I’ve been doing pretty much only cardio for more than two years now but I want to incorporate weights into my routine. I exercise almost every day for about an hour so I don’t know when to do weights
Nobody:
Irony: 3:58 “Dont just lift heavy for the sake of ego.”
I’m a runner trying to learn how to lift weights and get strong, this is very helpful thank you! I am so lost about where to begin!
Hi! Just stumbled across this and it’s super helpful. My question is scheduling. You always hear people say today is leg day or back day. How many days of the week do we dedicate to a group of muscles? Is leg day once a week? Twice of week? Any help would be appreciated:)
0:43 i can’t take advise from gay who shaking as hell:D he is look a like me without training and lifting more then him without shaking:d
Hi guys. i want to say that I really love your videos and thanks for sharing them. I tried to purchase your 8 week programme, but it said it was out of my geographical region. I live in Jamaica. I’m wondering if you could do a videoson cardio for losing upper body fat. I do some of your videos and I walk up a steep hill near my home for an hour each day.I don’t like that I’m not losing the weight in my arms and back. i know u cant spot reduce fat, but I don’t want 2 lose any more lower body.
This was really helpful, you answered a lot of the things I was wondering about. Thank you! And completely off topic, but I love your lip color! I’d love to know what it is if you can remember:)
Hey Mike, I have question should i like start with normal weight and go heavier every set or should i complete every exercise set with one weight?
For exFor biceps barbell curls i start with 15kg then go 25kg for next set and then 30, and the last 35kg set i can do only few like 5-6reps, i can lift 30kg properly, should i do the all 4 set with 30kg?
Cheers.
I’m a CNA and feel as though gaining some muscle would be helpful with job. I’m skinny and only 133 pounds. I would like to gain weight with muscle.
We have literally hundreds of strength training workouts, check them out!
Ok if you can prove only because of this video he gained all his subs and people who train under him then sure Jeff has to address this video. This is something he did 4 years ago.. If you are buying his stuff or taking his advice because he can lift heavy then you are a fucking moron.
Hi im very new to your channel…… Im in middle school….. Can u mame a video about abs.
Im planning on loosing weight, at the same time improve my ass and hipdip, can i do this? Or will this just bulk me up?
I was having a doubt regarding this since a year! I had watched many videos but didn’t got proper answer but from this video i got the proper answer and thank you very much for explaining it clearly.
soooo I knew the warm up and the reps…but I hurt so bad when I went back to the gym 2 days later I physically couldn’t lift again….suggestions?
Awesome vid bro! From the voice over to the animation.
Coming back from a back injury I’ll be sure to follow this homie
Why does everyone seem surprised a 42-year-old guy can rep 225kg? isnt this the age where most powerlifters are at their strongest?
What is the best way of developing muscle mass fast? Sqeezing contractions with slow movements or exsplosive movements which are faster?
First video i saw, i subscribed, really what i looked for:)

When benching or doing press ups I have noticed that my elbows have started to crack is this something to be worried about?
