Does a stronger core necessary help to learn push up faster???
Love your video. I had bowel cancer operation recently and need to perform pelvic floor exercises everyday and find your video so helpful, thank you so much. I hope to process over time.
I thought background music a little distracting.
Thank you so much for not only demonstrating, but giving a deeper dialogue on the inner workings. It really helps with control for beginners! I’ve seen so many videos that jump straight into everything. However when we know more about what we’re doing, we typically have better results!
Hi doctor jo is it normal after we do the core exercise we can feel the sore around our stomach?
This is great! I used to be very active when I was younger and I struggle with scaling my exercises to current level (due to mental health issues I’ve been very sedentary for a long time), this is such a great way to start back up again without overdoing it and building up strength so I don’t injure myself at the gym. They also seem gentle enough to do in the mornings before work for me! I really want to “wake” my muscle cells back up again bc I’ve struggled a lot with hip pain over the past years.
thank you for sharing this!
Oh Im so glad I found your channel. Im loving the beginner videos…coz Im beginner. Thank you!
You look like a gazelle, and this yoga training looks amazing but you make me feel anxious, you speak soooo fast. Not relaxing at all

I love this video and the most important I could do it.
Thank you so much.
Great video! I liked the fact that you didn’t talk slowly and did an irritating smile all the way through while breathing like a buddah druggie. Fast and to the point.
Thank you for the great video. would you recommend to keep the back arches even if someone has APT.
Hey beautiful lady will this help me to reduce my belly fat???….
What is the best mattress for me? I have neck and lower back stiffness and soreness with issue with sacrum. As of today, I’ve done several exercises from your videos that I have vowed to incorporated as a daily routine.
Thank you so much for this clear video, Michelle. Are there more available to follow up as I get stronger?
I can’t wait to try this! I have very weak core muscles and lower back and leg issues. One of the things the doctor told me to do what build up my core to strengthen my back. I’m hoping this works!

Hi Michelle, I am new here and very interested in your channel
Monday morning again thank you so good to do during Coronavirus

I am so happy I found this video! I’ve had consistent lower back pain for years and nothing helped. I’ve always been pretty active and worked out regularly. However, I was never good at engaging my core and couldn’t figure out how. You have really helped me alleviate my back pain. I will be adding this to my daily routine!

I’ve never done Yoga in my life, but I think her pace is perfect! Not too quick that I can’t catch up, nor too slow that I get bored. Love it!
I’ve been struggling with my core & lower back. This helped quite alot… Thank you Michelle ❤️!
Thank you for thisI have Ehlers Danlos along with dysautonomia so exercise can be difficult, but I still need to do at least some strength training to help support my joints. I had my physiatrist suggest isometrics years ago so I’ve been doing things on my own after being told about a few good exercises, but have been trying to understand how to have more control over things and you explain everything really well. Appreciate it!
Michelle, thank you for the level of detail and simple explanations that you provide in this video, and others like it. Serious question though: In males, will these exercises help with hernia prevention and/or recovery.? I would like to start working out pretty hard, but am prone to hernias and feel generally weak in that area. Thank you very much for your time.
I got blown up in 87 and had back surgery and it lasted up till now and now im trying to find a way to not hurt so much
I have had considerable rapid weight gain and am experiencing very serious core weakness. I’m really glad I found this. You are so encouraging. I really loved this. I hope it will help me begin to recover my health. Thank you for posting this.
I have a tail bone pain from the last one year. Dislocated when I fall on back, will these exercises help

If one is overweight, the hips don’t move… I’ve just discovered. “Activating the tummy muscles?” What does activating mean? Thank you.
After the side plank i dont feel the lower back pain. So i have to do that for sure
Just what I was looking for. My physio gave me these 2 yrs ago, but I forgot how to do them properly, and had difficulty finding the earlier exercises in the video on YouTube. Thank you.
Thanks a lot.
My givet to you brother

I’m on light duty right now and my job and unfortunately if I don’t get better in about 4 weeks I’m going to go on workers comp do you recommend he’s for lower back pain especially people with sciatica or canal stenosis
Thank you. The content I needed and a lovely teaching style.
When ever I do a core exercise my lower back feels strained and I don’t know why
Is this okay when I do this 2 times in a day? Or just once daily?
Hi Michelle please can you help me,I had a microdiscrectomy five months ago and I returned to part time at work three weeks ago. I’ve been released from physio now are these ok for me? I’m told I need to plank, hip lift and find pilates to build core. Thank you
i had a tummy tuck three weeks ago. Should i do these exercises after I recover three weeks from now?
Thanks for a great tutorial! I particularly dig that even beginners to core with injuries can actually attempt these exercises. It’s an awesome share!
This is helping so much, I’ve been doing this for about a week now and everytime I do it it’s easier and easier! I have to have a strong core for dance class and this is definatly wokring
I have strained an abdominal muscle in the past and I’m trying to strengthen the muscle. How often should I do these. And any other tips you have would be great
Not a calisthenics dude but I’m trying to strengthen my core so I can lift heavier. I can never stay consistent with traditional ab training like leg raises and crunches. Will try this on my rest days for sure.
I just stated doing exercise and I followed along with him. He is amazing and explains thoroughly very well. You are great!
Hi Michelle so excited to have found you and your site. After prolapse surgery I have been unable to manage situps as in the past so my core strength has really suffered. Going to get started tonight on these and your other exercises for back etc. Hooray!
Hello from California! Love yr video. Going to try to see if it helps my core before back surgery.
Hello to all/ Michelle,
I am in need of someones expertise. I have serious back issues. I recently had a back
stimulator permanantly placed in my back. Along with this I now have 4 fused lumbar vertebra. I am on disability but would like to change this. After this surgery i have lost all my core strength….cant stand or walk vertical for more than a minute or two then start slumping over. Please, can anyone give me some exercises that i could do, with the fusions i have. Please, if you can help respond to me at my e-mail address…[email protected] gmail.com I don’t do much computer work so probably couldn’t find this area again…. Thank You, Robert
but whenever I do the reverse crunch I feel pressure in my neck, what to do about it?
Hi, I have back pain I’m planning on becoming a figure skater so I need to sort it out (Caused by mental illness keeping me sat in bed) I’ve been walking and doing stretches. I’ll do these and (If I remember) Put updates in the replies. Do you have any suggestions for my back pain?
I have digestion issues and i managed to bring up allot of wind, not pleasant but helpful. Thank you.
Michelle…you alway give me exercises that make me feel better and don’t hurt. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Excellent video! I’m a proponent of bodyweight exercises and walking. The more we move our bodies, the healthier we are. Average walking speed studies show that an older person’s pace, along with their age and gender, can predict their life expectancy just as well as the complex battery of other health indicators such as blood pressure, body mass index, chronic conditions, and smoking history. Walk on, Frank
i have gone throught inguinal hernia open surgery……9 weeks before… so i can do all these exercises??? plz sir rply me
It looks interesting, but I am having trouble understanding what you are saying. There is too much background noise, and a hollow sound or echo chamber effect that interferes with hearing you. If it had improved sound sit would be a muck better video.
I really want to get back into exercise but it has to be subtle as I have scar tissue inside of my abdomen.
Thank you so much! These exercises are so understandable to follow that you really feel yourself toned from your low bellyand pelvic floor! the best to you and everybody you love! Tatiana, Russia
Hi I am a kid trying to get abs so I can fell better about my body. Any tips for the young?thanks.
I really appreciate this video and your channel. I just found it as I’ve been looking up core exercises since I’ve been going to physical therapy. I’ve got a sacral torsion and so many things are super difficult to do so I love that you understand not everyone can push themselves hard like other channels seem to think.
I want to start doing core exercises bc I want to start wearing a corset and I know if I do my core will get even weaker than it already is, this seems like a great workout to begin with, thanks!
I’ve been trying to do this but I can’t seem to feel anything when i slide my foot down. It’s almost as if my pelvis doesn’t even move. Or maybe I’m just not in tune enough with my pelvis?
I have a weak core and inhibited glued on one side. Should I focus on core first and the glutes or work then both?
Can this help me in doing sit-ups. I really wanna do some situps and so frustrated that I can’t! And I heard that core strengthening is a first step to sit ups.
i just found your channel and i love your content!! you’re so open and honest with your replies and they’re always so informational and these videos are so easy to follow i’m very grateful!!
I’m so excited and happy to have found this video my core is very weak and I can’t wait to start these tonight,
I feel immense pressure on my spine rather than abs while doing the kneeling plank….god it’s just too difficult….
I have bilateral ataxia @ 53 from a life of heavy drinking. I shake like a leaf standing without holding on to a walker. I’m hoping these ecercises will help to rebuild my core and eventually walk without the aid of a walker. I don’t expect quick results as it taken a lifetime of bad habits to get here. Yes the drinking stopped 3 weeks ago and I have a wonderful support system. Thank you for posting.
Really helpful! But HOLY CRAP the Mountain Climber exercise almost killed me! I’m pretty young (20) & kinda underweight, & its embarrassing how weak I am, but thank you! I’ll be doing these daily.
This should have a lot of views specially those ppl having trouble doing core workouts like meeeee ❤ thnk u so much for the helpful tips.
Hi,can you do a guide video on hefesto please.Would love to learn it!
Just tried this and loved it. Most of these moves were new for me. Thanks!
Wow very good and detailed thanks i only have 1 question tho about the first position whenever i try any core exercises required to raise the neck i can’t push myself cos it hurts ” my neck” i only wanna know is it supposed to hurts or it just me?
I like the video. It seem simple enough to do.
For reverse crunch, I ever tried to do it on a chair (without wheels) but what do I do to avoid injury if I do it sitting on chair and bringing the knees up?
Michelle I am sorry I had a hard time and still could understand your instructions. The background noise made it harder. I am a beginner and would like to know what to do when u say I should activate the pelvic muscle? Do I hold the pelvic muscle or do I rotate it in the movements? In the last exercise where do I put my weight on the knees or on the shoulders? Etc
you can’t target fat removal that is a myth 0:30 you are an idiot
Like and subscribed… I do not do yoga, but I love to see your movements, so elastic and elegant… You are very beautiful… I also love your feet… Greetings from Chile (south of this world).. Subscribed now!
Had to subscribe..straight to the point tutorial. As a female my core strength is bad and 2020 I will master calisthenics.
Bro thanks to you I went from not being able to do one pull up to doing 10 straight pull-ups in just 2 weeks! Thanks
I’m here for the reason everyone else is here Lol, my gym is closed for the quarantine and this video really helped.
Awesome thank you! I’ve been going to these classes at the gym and I was struggling…. now I know what to do
wtf this is good form for super human plank?when you use weight I saw that you had APT
Does this get you abs or do you just waste your time trying to strengthen your core and that’s it? (A depressed helpless viewer here )
I think I’m doing the first one wrong, I dont feel my pelvic muscles tilting
I found this routine very easy. I need to change to intermediate now. I guess.
I m doing ur beginners core exercises, it’s actually working. Your description is awesome
This is guy I really good, really explains everything well and easy to understand
I just can’t keep my back pressed to the ground. My back creates that cavity. Please tell me how to solve this problem
I’m going to do it! we’ll see if I get some abs by summer.:)
3…2…1… and REEEESSSSSTTT! Love it, that will forever be stuck in my head when working out!
Thanks. I went to the gym (decided I will go every day from now on), and today was my first core day. I couldn’t even really do things with machines. I’ll do these every day until I can do proper core training. Sad that it’s so bad when my upper and lower body are actually fairly strong.
I suffer from really bad depression and I watch this video every day for motivation. The days that I can do part or all make me really hopeful
Bed or chair please on here as I’m disabled but really want to excersise I am a body type Ka due to spine surgery X2 thanks
Can you do chair exercises and oyster exercises that I can do on my
does anyone else feel absolutely nothing in the core but a bunch of lower back pain?
Thanks for upload. Good exercise tips for fitness. Beginners may follow it happily.
The kneeling plank is what really got my abs sore. Pulling my elbows really helped
Thanks for explaining the important details to not get hurt. I’ve watched many tutorial and such. None till now, explains proper forms to prevent injuries.
Thank you again.
It’s interesting that you teach an anterior pelvic tilt and another video taught posterior. Do you think one is necessarily safer than the other?
How many times should I do this every week for best change???
Nice to see a video like this! Very realistic expectations. I’ve always had pretty muscular arms and legs(in my opinion) but I’ve lacked in my corewhere I think it matters the mostI’ll try these out:)
AMAZING VIDEO! But is planche an good exercise as an beginner. Also I don’t see it in the program should I leave it as it is or put it in?
The moment I saw than plank I was like “I will just forge abt this step and move to the next one” you got me for a second there
yes I have its been a month that I do it 2 times a day and there is a difference already. I do all of his fit in five twice a day and a power walk of 10 minutes on the thread mill 3 times a day. It was very hard at first but now its getting easier and happy with results.Love all the fit in five workouts…..
I’m an indoor rower but this additional exercises really helps during this covid19 lockdown…Stay safe, stay healthy and stay fit everyone! Best wishes from UK. x
hello. madam if i add 04 exercises to these exercises i.e side plank, simple plank on hands and feet, superman pose and cobra stretch then what is your recommendation how many times these exercises should do in one week
love the explanation of each workout. I went at the gym 2017 and I learn asking to the people around me, but I saw I haven’t doing right. So just went 6 months and stop at the gym so got focus on just hikes, to keep moving my body, But I have a week ago doing a challenge for this quarantine (stay home). I was looking how to do (in n outs) exercise and I find you. Thank you so much. to take some of your time to explain the right way to do it. I will be following you
Just wondering how often this exercise is useful. Daily? Every 2 or 3 days?
Thank you so much. This really helps me. Every other channel says to have speed and never tells me to go at my paste. Thank you so much. My core is burning already. And plus I’m tall and it helps me
I do watch your videos this so educational. I do find it distracting that through these videos you look far to slim
How often should I do these exercises? Is it possible to overtrain the core with these exercises?
I love how this guy is just in his house. I’m in my house too. Nice!
Hi WM! Thanks for the great vid!
Is the Core Quiz still up? Don’t see it.
Thanks.
M.
Bro how to do pseudo push up. Please make a tutorial in this subject.
Love the explanation about proper form that us beginners are never get clear detail/demonstration. Finally found my guy! I also like the concise and fast info. Appreciate not being tortured by any loud obnoxious “motivational” noise (music). Big smile!
Niech ktos ci zacznie tlumaczyc te filmiki wkonu na Polski ;/
Thank you sir for this great “REAL BIGINNER ROUTINE” I’ve always given up since the second or third one on what some people consider a biginner routine (with all my respect for their work ) but yours is just simple to do for someone like me who’s abs are the weaker part❤️
Top chanel for calisthenics. Your tutorials are the best in the whole youtube
Hi Dariusz. Great content, bro! I can definetely see why your channel is shooting up… like your dragon flags! Keep it up
My orthopedic doctor has recommended strengthening my core muscles to ease my lower back probelems. I hv done some of the exercises shown following my knee operations. However I am unable to do much exercises in a kneeling position since the operation. Are there any other exercises I can do lying or standing up to give more variety to the above exercises?
Is there any specific time period to do these exercises after which I can see results..and also how much time should I give these workouts every day?
You videos are very informative.Only new to yoga doing Yoga teacher training have come from a boxing back round so it’s all new to me but I’m learning so much from you amazing videos
You did not include the side plank. Is it on the “difficult” list?
This one of best Exercise for the lower back the pain just left instantly
This is a shitty video not going to lie. You should do calisthenics planks than 0 core building plank
Great suggestion, thank you sir.
How do I improve digestion efficiency? Do this exercises improve digestion ability?
For everyone who was struggling to keep up: try slowing down the video to 75% by clicking on the settings icon. These sequences are good for people who have done yoga or yoga exercises before or do it regularly, but are still unadvanced (like me) or beginners who would like to have a quick workout.
Hi. Will this help with my running? I’m trying to run 2 miles but near 1mile my lower back muscles start hurting then I can’t continue.
perfect vedio.. you are also a creative in making each vedio and best calistanics youtuber
I have a very weak core and it’s super hard to do curl ups and I heard having a strong core can help me so I hope this can help me
Hi Dr. Jo! I’m a PTA myself here and an avid exerciser. I’m good with upper/lower body but TERRIBLE incorporating core work! I’ve also lost 30 pounds over the last 6 months, so I have some loose skin/fat/very weak musculature around my core. My core has always been a problem. How often would you say to incorporate exercises like this? I am currently lifting weights/doing resistance for upper body 2-3 times a week as well as lower body 2x a week. And cardio about 4-5x a week. I feel so overwhelmed trying to fit everything in but I know I have to start including this as I’ve had so many injuries and am still suffering from compensation injuries. Any advice? Thank you SO much!!!
How many months does it take to get visible abs if I am training 3 hours everyday? Example I am doing( yoga, weights and boxing) one hour each everyday and each training include core workout in it… Thanks in advance..
PS: I just have a little bit of stomach protruding outside size 32..
I learned how to do it with Unflexal page. I think unflexal’s guide is the best way to be salubrious.
Back on the wellness fitness journey. Fell off for 8 months STRESS related great Simple exercises I have always felt crushes aren’t productive
Thank you brother for giving me awesome tips&trick.BWT my age is 13 and your. I’m from India.
How long should you do each for? I was thinking 5 mins each?
Inti week 3 of social isolation in UK this is great adding exrecises from our classes here
OK, right off the bat you have made a mistake. You are saying this is for anyone, even those with physical injuries? WRONG! I CAN’T lie on my back, because I can’t get up again. The last time I led on my back I had to have an ambulance come and get me up and it took them 15 minutes. Standing I cant do either as I have bad knees and leg ulcers. So, if you have any exercises for a 400lb male who can stand but for only about a minute, then I am interested. But, please, don’t make unsubstantiated claims. Thank you.
Thank you, going to start this. Been walk / running for almost a year now for three miles at least five days a week, love it. Still not happy with core so I know it’s time to incorporate some strength training. Any diet suggestions tied directly to core in addition to the exercises?
Hey! Doctor Jo,
Plz make video for paralysis.
For paralysis excercise
im trying to get my presshandstand and im so close….ill try this for a week and do Updates for people like me xD
Edit 1: I’ve done this for 2 Days and i can hold everything longer now:)
i am rehabbing myself after a TPF and am finally allowed to put weight on the leg. This seems like a good level of core training to get me started. Thanks for posting!
For people who think she is going too fast, you can play the video at half speed or watch it a couple of times to gain familiarity without doing the exercises or without doing them fully.
Thanks man I want to build a strong core for I can get started with calisthenics
Awesome video bro! Very proud of all your progress and the informative content. Your friend from high school!
I love the video. How many sets and how long should I do them for?
Hey bro love from india,,,,,can I do all these exercise i had suffered from slip disc and.sciatica also???,,i heal just lagi 4 week
My doctor told me that I need to develop my core and that I need to do some serious core exercises that’s why I stumbled up on this any advice would be greatly appreciated for starters I need to drop a good 30 40 lb

Hey if you can think up a 3 second explanation to What Is The Keizen project
Thanks for making good content:)
Having a strong core is so sexy… literally. It means you’ll be good at sex
Hi! First, thank you for these great exercices
I would like to know how long does it take to actually build the core strength (I planned to do these three exercices and their variations every morning and evening, maybe hold 30 seconds first and then progressively holding more)? I don’t need to lose weight, I really just want to build core strength but fast…
thank you in advance for your answer
These are NOT begging yoga! I’ve been doing yoga for a year and can’t do the beginning moves at all!
I chose this one because I have no core strength
Is it normal for my stomach to be shaking while doing half of these things lmao
The only problem I have is that I can’t keep my lower back to the ground. Anyone got any tips?
Thank u!! First time mom here and this has been the first video for beginners that’s really helped me. There are others but I would end up hurting myself a bit trying to work out my core. This video is great. Thank u again
So that’s why I can’t deadlift/squat. Can I do these every day?
Is it normal for me to feel the last two exercices in my arms instead of in my core muscles?
And if not: How to rectify it?
Very helpful wow! Michelle Will you kindly do a video on how to reduce period cramps

hey i have SI joint problems and i have a weak core. Do you think that if i get my core strong my SI joint pain will go away?
Hi Michelle, felt happy by seeing this video, very informative, thanks a lot. Wanted to know is it helpful to address lower back pain and also reduce to reduce belly fat. I have been a distance runner for 21 years and I have never seen these Plank variants before! They are nuts! I am going to try them after my next run
My core is strong but the muscles are not visible and defined. Also, how many reps of core do you suggest for a 15 year old athlete(with some experience in the gym).
Thank you for mentioning posterior pelvic tilt. That is the biggest question I had about doing planks properly and had trouble finding the answer.
After 5 medical procedures including hysterectomy and hip replacement in last 18 months I have no core strength… I am hoping these beginner lessons will help.
How many sets and reps?
Plus, i did not know that you build strong core just by holding position
How many times a week should I do that and how many days should pass from workout to workout? Also does it help with lower back pain?
I was looking for something a little easier for me because most the core workouts I find online are too advanced. However, these ones were a little too easy…any suggestions to make them a tad more challenging?
I love the way he says reeeeeeeeeeest. Nice workout by the way.
Your transverse muscles are NOT the same as your (internal/external) oblique muscles, please go to some research. I stopped watching the video the moment you said that.
Nice video bomb by the dog performing calisthenics hand stand with leg switching:)
Can static holds build muscle or mostly are strength focused? My muscles feel way more sore when I do them, for example holding a push up position at the peak contraction for few seconds during reps.
Love the title warrior made lol subbed I’m doing them with you keep these videos coming I need help I’m very tight in hips ect will using your videos daily.(great instructor.)
LMAO i saw your plank form i almost clicked out until u said it was bad LO gg
Thanks. The modifications are useful. Perhaps some tips on how many sets and seconds to hold for and how many times a week?
Challenging = the tonic syllable is the first one, not the second.
Thanks for the hollow body hold progression cuz i cant do the full on i will do the tucked u post very educational content
Amazing thank you! I found it really helpfull and you are really confident too
I’m having trouble keeping my lower back on the ground. It always ends up arching
Superhuman Plank became too easy now. What’s the Saitama level?
Does anyone else find it difficult to extend from the knee when you’re doing these exercises? Does anyone know what to do to strengthen/stretch that?
Just used this for school and it absolutely worked! It was simple and fun! Thank you!
thumbs down folks= haters who can only hate. GREAT VIDEO. SHORT,CONCISE, TO THE POINT, ALL CORRECT INFORMATION=ELEGANT VIDEO. Thankyou Caliathletics
You can take the side plank even farther by using a chair or whatever and support yourself by only your opposite foot on the chair. I hope that makes sense
Love your content thanks for uploading I subscribe to you and ring the bell.
Hi! Could you please make a video about vacuums? I know it’s more about aesthetics, but it would be greatly appreciated.
I’m just now learning how to get fit and start a healthier lifestyle. It’s hard. I’ve never had a weight issue until my last baby. Now I need to lose the weight and tone up. I’m really trying. I hope these work for me!!
Nagrasz po polsku?dzięki tobie nauczyłem się zrobić porządna pompkę

Just one sentence: Keep doing what you’re doing, videos. Gj brah!
Huge thanks for the tips. Weak core is ruining my lower back while doing one arm.push ups.
If I want to achieve calisthenics skills like a planch, front lever best choice for me is training maximum force? i think muscle hypertrophy is waste of time in this goal
He said you can do this if your injured well guess what I’m MENTALLY INJURED (I’m really not this is a joke)
Please can you expand on “tall through the top of your head”.
what if I have a bad back (lower and upper) i’m unabe to sit straight at work and it’s causing me pain
Good evening mam you giving athletic person we will do core exercises any new core exercises will be there please share mam
Hi Dr Jo. Have used your Videos for the last 3yrs and messaged you previously. I’m still trying to find the cause of my pain from my Left Hip/Groin which also goes to my calf. All down the left side. It happened when I was running 2yrs ago and I’ve had this year a Hip Athroscopy to repair Labral Tear, Ankle Impingement Surgery and last week Groin Surgery to repair a torn ligament..
Yes it’s been a tough year but before this injury I was super Fit.
Ive been told to really work on strengthening my Core after this Groin op which may help balance my centre. Still having the pain in my Lower back/Hip on left side and my Left calf is tight and pulsing…
I did the injury while running and personally feel like something obvious is being missed. Any advice I’d appreciate and recommend some Excercises. I’ve followed your Videos through it all so would appreciate some help.
Thanks
Andrew From
Great workout but not for beginners. Please slow down and allow for beginners to follow along. Beginning something means either venturing into something for the first time or starting it over. Either way, it needs to be at a slower pace. It can still be fun relaxing and challenging at the same time.
he explained the excercise very details, completely easy to understand, step by step, and fun as well, Well Done and thanks for the excercise….
Great reminders of how to protect my lower back and strengthen my core! Thank you
Hi Dr..my neck hurts due to cervical problem..can I use pillow while doing crunches..I have stiff neck through out day…
mam, can i do this exercises for sports hernia?
i am suffering too much wright now
can core strengthening exercise helpful for avoiding hernia problem?
Michelle,…I am so glad I found you! I have had symptoms of SPS for a couple years,, and I need help. Do you know of something? I feel like my body is “seizing up”. I worked so much this last month I didn’t make time nor have the energy to exercise. I need thigh, abdomen and eye relief. I know this is a very long shot..……got any ideas?
Thanks sooo much that really informative. How often do i need to do it? Thanks:)
After ruining my posture with so much heavy exercising, I appreciate the naturality of these exercises and Dr Jo herself. Such a relief and great help. Thank you
Thank you so much for your videos. How many times a day/week can we do these? Also is there a video that offers progression or the next level after this video? Thanks.
Hy…. I just wanna ask u… That can these exercises are performed after c section…??
When i do the one with moving body back when on knees and only my quads hurt (a lot) means theyre very weak? I dont feel my core or anything else at all
A really great tutorial for beginners like me!
For the last exercise, when squeezing my gluts, I can only feel my back thighs burning or shaking, instead of my core. What possible did I do wrong?
Pain and fatigueness appears on right side of back from lumbar region upto scapula after 10 min. Of sitting. I think i develop this due to poor posture while studying. Should I perform these exercises? Suggest me some please!
Thank you for your videos Dr. Jo. When doing plank exercises, I noticed that it’s harder to perform it when your legs are further away from you. Is it better to keep your legs farther away from your butt? Also I have been trying to hold my one legged planks for as long as I can. Is there a benefit to this or am I benefittting more from doing more reps. Thanks in advance!
Do you have any modifications for the kneeling moves? Both of my knees are replaced which makes kneeling very painful. I’ve tried using small cushions underneath my knees, but that is also extremely painful plus it messes up my balance and my form. Or, do I just skip those moves and just do the other four ones?
Why do you use a pillow for the bridge exercise? I’ve seen you use the pillow for several exercises, but not others is their a specific reason? TIA
Bro, Gollum looking like youBut you very strong than other people:))
And all this is for beginners? Did this instructor ever tried exercising next to ANY beginner? Pointless. The video and the title don’t match.
Thank You. I was wondering Do Dr. Jo has Core exercises now that it’s importance has been discovered? Thanks Again. Good day.
I didn’t have a hard time doing these poses I just had a hard time picking up the phone over and over to know what she’s doing
This is not a beginner work out and it’s not even really yoga.
Give it a like if you paused the video in middle. I think I’m made out of wood
Doc JO my mom is suffering from problem in L1 and L2 nerve. She has a problem in the walking and constant leg problem in knees… Pls help and advice recovery for her
she’s talking way to fast and the video makes it extra hard to follow with 6 different angle changes as she’s moving position.
Is it okay to hear popping sounds while trying… Also hurts when I feel the pop in my joints.
Pochodzisz z Polski? Masz cos związanego z Polską? Możesz dać polskie napisy, ponieważ osoby z Polski też oglądająfilmy, a tak średnio co rozumią. Pozdrawiam
This is not for beginners unless you are already an athlete and want to give yoga a try for the first time. I need something to help me get to this ‘beginner’ point.
Myself, I recently started Pilates on the Reformer machine… it’s amazing for the core.
It hurts my back and I don’t know how to breathe through it properly, any tips?
Hell, I thought I was doing good until I tried this. I guess I’m not even a beginner. I’m totally discouraged.
Hi this is Arpita from India..your videos are helping me a lot..Just wanted to know is it safe to continue kegel exercise more than 2 month?
You think beginners can do this or you just wanted views? Thanks anyways
I wish you’d move a little slower. I’m just racing to keep up with the video, don’t get to focus on my breath
To fast for me. I am so dead. That was so hard when it’s your first time.
Followed along with her and I am 16 and this is my first time doing any kind of workout like this. This is HARD for beginners. She kept saying and whenever your ready….. WELL IM NOT FRICKEN READY! holy crap that was HARD.
Made it 5 minutes in and I am dead! She needs to slow the heck down a bit.
This is not for beginners.. and this is definitely not classical yoga.. this is mixed with pilates.. pls don’t market yourself as a yoga person..
At last a trainer other than myself who Doesnt preach about situps.
I have a very weak core and I don’t ever work out, but I don’t feel anything while doing those exercises
A bit too fast and lacking in empathy and warmth for me. I will stick with Yoga with Adriene
I’d suggest watching this on.75x speed if a beginner. It makes it easier to follow along. I’d say.5x, but then she sounds like a stoner
Hi Michelle,
Can I get my flat tummy back despite having a grade 3 prolapse?
Im a beginner and i love this video! It feels great even though i cant always keep up
Hey Tara I love this video, use it a lot, but want to ask that you not assume that when everyone is doing a plank they have a totally flat body and can look straight to their feet… some of us have large breasts, bellies, etc!

WTH this is so NOT for beginners way too fast too come on Tara not everyone is a pro like you lol
Love how this routine looks and I’m going to try it but I am going to have to keep pausing it:/ would love the same routine done slowly to follow along with to ease into…
Great beginners yoga I’m 48 and found it really good getting a stronger body.
i do fitness to awesome video i learned something new thankyou u are the best
just realised the reason why i struggle so much with any workout is because i have no core strength at all, i hope this is a good place to start, but i didn’t feel anything ♀️
This was one of the first videos I watched before I started my YouTube channel. You’re so inspiring Tara
It’s not supposed to be easy for beginners it’s supposed to be hard so u learn to build core strength lol.
While the moves are basic, I agree with other comments too fast! Also, not really Yoga, most of these moves are Pilates based. I teach both Pilates and Yoga was looking for inspiration for a core Yoga class. Still it’s a nice little work out.
The tone she uses makes her sounds like she hates this its so monotone
I’ve bought https://twitter.com/9b7e19512eee5d182/status/822770372575563776. This рroduct is awesоme. I gaaained way morе musclе mass and reduсed body fat fasteеer than any other prоducts!
Hello! What kegels exercise is the best for urination?please reply to my comment. Badly needed.
How many minutes of a plank hold would be considered a strong core?
Guys she’s making a video that’s why she doing it a little bit fast, but as a beginner go slowly and take as much time as you need, but at the end you have to challenge yourself to get the results that you want.
God bless you all
I love the exercises themselves, but this is way too fast paced. It’s impossible to keep up if you don’t do yoga like this regularly
Wayyyyyyy tooooooo fasttttttttt. Great movements just please slow down a tad.
Hi Dr. jo! Im from philippines and I got a lower back problem and my doctor told me to see Physical Therapist for Core Strengthening Exercise for 1 day and copy it for 2 weeks at home because of covid19 he suggested me so just memorize the exercise for 1 day. Is your video the same with the exercise that they will give me? Or they gonna give me different exercise or special treatment? Please help Dr.Jo. thank you for your videos. ❤❤❤
This sequence is way too fast esp. for beginners as we need more instruction, need to move slowly and carefully and holding the right muscle groups tight enough to protect from injury.
Hi man, can I do these exercises as I got a oblique muscle tear.
I used to follow your Dvd back in the day. Glad I found you. But video seemed rushed can i do the same moves just breathe longer? Or should I follow your pace. Please answer
I dont know if I’m doing it wrong or what but I still don’t feel my core engaged
Great video!! I’m the only girl in my conditioning class and I really want to do well
can you plz tell me how many years have you been into calisthenics?
Very helpful for my flexibility and adds another wrinkle to my current workout regime.
I’m a beginner and I can’t finish it but with consistency I can now notice that I’m lasting a bit longer each time. Also sometimes I pause the video and hold the stretches longer. I love it!
While I get that this is supposed to be short, I highly recommend doing this once to get the hang of it and then next time watch it at 0.5 speed, without audio. It’s way more intense, + you can listen different music each time so it’s easy to form a fun routine of doing this for a while.:)
