Came home from work today and wondered what to cook, never cooked this before but knew i had some thighs and harissa paste and man it was so nice.
Subbed.
Sorry are we hacking or dicing Jamie. I can’t hack to an inch dice can I? No Jamie. I can’t.
Nice video, I enjoyed cooking for my family. I might have to try the single pan thing.
Hi There Donal,
I jus made this amazing recipe but I was unable to find Harissa sauce instead I substituted it for an asian sauce named Chili Garlic Sauce. Very delicious, once again Donal thank you!!
Harissa recipe
4 ounces dried chiles of your choice
1 teaspoon caraway seeds
1 teaspoon coriander seeds
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
3 to 4 cloves garlic, peeled
1 teaspoon kosher salt, or to taste
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, plus more for storing
Optional additions: fresh lemon juice, preserved lemon, fresh or dried mint, fresh cilantro, sun-dried tomatoes, tomato paste, cayenne, paprika
Winner winner chicken dinner…….!!!! I love spicy chicken…♥️♥️♥️
now this is a real recipe. too often we get mediocre food blogs that’s just putting ingredients together anyone can do that, which is why they do. but to actually develop a recipe like this with actual technique takes skill. it goes beyond putting tastes and ingredients together. i can always count on ATK for technique-driven, innovative recipes as the food media space expands. y’all are one of the OGs.
Do you think I could replace the chicken leg quarters with turkey drumsticks? What would you change?
I stopped searching for ” healthy food recipes” on youtube. They are usually boring and bland. Now i just watch you! Thank you!!
Didn’t jamie oliver make the same thing with a whole chicken
I tried it today, it tastes pretty good for such a really simple recipe! Thanks for uploading!
Tried this recipe tonight and loved it, it was so easy to prepare and full of flavour! I would recommend vineless tomatoes and add some hummus
Luv ur channel this recipe is easy n simple look’s delicious…tfs
Now I just need some Harissa. I might try this in my air fryer!
OMG I always love spicy chicken to the extent…yummmm☺
I’ve watched Jamie’s videos and tried his foolproof recipes over the years. I think he’s the best. It’s sad that you lost a lot recently, but your videos surely live on.
This isn’t any close to Indian cooking so your recipe is a disaster and specially who eats raw spinach with the yogurt sauce?? It was all watery and very pathetic,it’s an insult to Indian form of cooking. We don’t put aubergine in chicken!! Total Crap and mess!!
Hi! I hope you enjoyed this video. Right now I’m working on recipes for Spring and would love to know what type of dishes you would like to see me make on my videos. What’s your favorite springtime vegetable? I want to develop recipes that you’ll enjoy cooking, eating and sharing. Thanks! Lisa
Simple and yummy, thank you for sharing this video! I will definitely try this at home.
Waiting for the people crying about the vegetables being burnt.
Thank you, Chef Christie! I learned so, so much in this wonderful video!
Hi Donal. I have tried a couple of your pasta dishes. Roast garlic, tomaties and onions. Very tasty. Im going to try this one as well. So easy. Thanks
My goodness this looks oh so yunmy! I definitely want to try this ASAP.
The graphics remind me of Hungry girl Lisa Lillien. What a blast from the past.
Jamie you are the best my son name my grandson Oliver because of you ☺️ he love your personality and of course your recipes good luck
It does look “pretty darn fantastic.” Supper one night next week. Thanks Christie.
I need people from the US! Can you please help me out. In my country there are restaurants with an ‘American kitchen’. They serve Hickory smoke bbq sauce. Its like the bbq sauce i had in Londons Hard Rock café. Now the internet is loaded with sauce recipes and i realized that there are more styles of bbq sauce in the US. Does anyone know what im looking for???? Thanks in advance!
I feel so depressed right now, Donal, but I love to watch this video thank you
Why queue a video upload 5 days in the future when you can just upload a video in 5 days?
i love how down to earth, simple and enthused Jamie is about cooking! its like its all 1-2-3DELICIOUS!
You MIPE be good
Bit you ar e no wher n at as the Indian himself
Take a bow
A a (real) professor of noise
Mister (India himself) kKrishan (NASA a real one) Ahuja ahhhhh o. Lay XX
When I touched the recipe link there was a message that it seems like a broken link. Please make sure it works.
Looks so easy! I love sheet pan dinners because they are quick to make, delicious and clean up is a breeze. I will add this to our menu plan for next week.
I have subcribe to your please do same and subcribe to mine too thanks
I love it…Special thanks to Mr. Jamie Oliver. Best wishes and my deep Respect.
Looks delicious, but that big chunk of ginger in only 150 ml of yogurt a bit too much I think
Dope recipe❤️. I bet this recipe would also be with thyme in place of sage. (Thyme is one of favorite )
I just had the “Masala Potatoes” today along with Dosas (Indian crepes) and I don’t see how that flavor goes along with chicken. All those veggies do go well with the masala, although you have to have some acidity if you add aubergine which is provided by the tomatoes here, but I don’t see how the chicken can be in this dish.
Also, don’t put your yogurt in the blender people. You will beat the all the structure out of it like in this video and turn it watery. Make a mint chutney separately in the blender and mix in with the yogurt later.
At my local Kroger, chicken leg quarters are actually not readily available except as the cheapest brand they carry. I made this recipe from drumsticks and thigh, I would say that the chicken came out just meh as far as flavor goes, but the highlight was the veggies.
I’ve been cooking this dish for the last few months and it’s been amazing every time! It’s one of my favourites!
I know its inappropriate but u cook really nice and u look tooo…. i first never thought u can cook just some traveller… but guess what i am wrong…..
Sorry… but honestly m really not sorry for anything at all….
I don’t care for dark meat. How would this work with skin on bone in breasts.
Here’s the recipe for the main dish
800g potatoes
Mustard seeds
Curry leaves (handful)
2 thumb sized pieces of ginger
Turmeric
Chicken thighs with skin(per serving)
Eggplant
2 peppers(orange&red)
Onion
Red and green chill
4 tomatoes
Enjoy!
Well i bought the ingredients, let’s see how this goes. Jamie’s recipes are the best.
We made this tonight. Was incredible. A wholesome meal! Thank you Jamie!
I wouldnt put ginger in yoghurt sauce. Mint chilli and salt and then chopped cucumber after blending.
Have just made this and came out really really well. Very easy and so much flavour! I would recommend that folks prepare all the veg etc first as i did panic a bit on the timing but turned out really great all the same. Thank you Jamie!
Every video from Jenna Edwards is brilliant. A little unnerving. Yes, I’m going to make this one too.
Touching raw chicken with your hands? This video makes me very uncomfortable.
Seriously? No seasoning at all in the baking tray and you claim it to be delicious?
Hi jamie! QueationCan I put two trays of of chicken in the oven, thus making twice the amount, and crank up the heat to the max, instead of 190°, as Jamie said in the video?
We wish you luck on your parents meeting..I loved your hair….
Indians watch this and be like there is nothing Indian about it, say for the spices and “the chilli bit” (that’s what he said)…
I always do this with sweet potato. Doesn’t need the par-boil and works so well with those indian flavours.
Christie Rocks! Fun, informative and not in a snobby way. More Christie!
Can we have Cecelia sometimes? Just watched her Cuban sandwich epic journey
Plzz makes a great cucine with Indians, i would be thankful to u
This looks so delicious and I think even I could make this! Thank you so much for the recipe. ❤
Yum looks delicious tell max i love him soooooooooooooo much and i say hi to him love dogs cant wait to pat max while am in usa in September tell max he is my friend drooling over my samsung galaxy j4 love your videos making me hungry Thanks Ramya
A fraud. He basically throw things while cooking. And most people believes he is a chef.
This looks greatis there a link to a list of all ingredients used anywhere?
All that and not a speck of food splatter on that sweater. That’s the real magic here.
As expected it looks delicious, especially because it comes from Azlin’s more than marvelous kitchen Keep up the good work cause you’re the best
It’s rather hard to find anything but skinless, boneless chicken thighs where I live. So going to make this with them and hope it comes out just as good.
Just watched this guy get ripped a new one on italia squisita hahaha
Watching these huge chunks of veg makes me so incredibly happy.
Doing this again tonight, really is one of the most tastiest things to make with little effort,
i have watched many chefs on yt (even Gordon) but but Jamie has that charm that no other people have: ) love to watch him cook so much: )
Would be a great side dish…The marinade was interesting…thanks for another quick and informative video.
These recepies are quick if you can chop and peel at the speed of a chef, otherwise it takes time I’ve found.
“Really affordable”
uses a shitload of ingredients
university students have left the chat
Oliver is the only God of Cooking in the world! Unsurpassed!
Might be a trivial question, can you cook on a tray with a hot plate? Thought it could only be used in the oven so was surprised he used it on a gas hob. So if I have a hot plate can I still do this?
Please help is this possible to cook this in an multicooker (I am living in a dorm with no ovens) my multicooker has roasting options
You have to put aubergine immediately in salt water otherwise it gives bitter taste to the dish
In Korea, talented people like you are called ‘golden hands’! I really envy you!
I recently made a chicken dish with Harissa paste for the first time. I liked the flavor of the Harissa paste. I will be trying out your recipe. Looks so good.
Completely unrelated question: Gorgeous wrist watch, which brand / model is it?
Donal! Its me the one you messaged hopefully i can again in the near future!! I changed my name my old name was raph vlogs 98 bideaway love your vids
Even though I didn’t have sage, made this last night and it was delicious! Thanks Christie and ATK.
I dont think there was need to give tarka to that dish just marination wud have done the job…
This looks so good! I am always on the look out for one sheet recipes. Thanks!
Roasted, seasoned chicken leg skin is SO fricken delicious!!
I made this and it was a huge success! Thank you for this healthy and amazing recipe!!
Wow..cutting into in them especially on those specific areas is brilliant!!
I just love Harissa chicken. It’s so good. I am definitely going to try this out. I use harissa for many other things or just eat it with breads and buns. Love this recipe. Awesome
It looks absolutely delicious! I Can’t wait for the video recipe. Looking forward to it Donal!
Christie is one of my favorite chefs on ATK. She always has a positive vibe, and seems to really enjoy creating these mouth-watering delights!
That chicken looks so good. This actually looks real easy to make. I think I can even manage this one ha ha.
This would be perfect topped with a sprinkle of feta or goat cheese.
Can you teach me how to cook? I am from Bangladesh, I am a University Teacher, I teach English Literature, Can you keep me with you and teach me how to cook. You know you are the most celebrated all around the world, may be you can think of me as a charity.. help me go there
Jamie Oliver dose the cameraman get to eat some of your food?!?!?!?!!
Cooked this this evening…I did not make the mint sauce.. nevertheless it was DELICIOUS. Thanks Jamie.
Love the cauliflower wedge idea! In my opinion and taste, the drumstick portion of the leg quarter is tendon-y so I usually opt for just the thigh portion. May try it with just the thighs?!
Yum! It’s so rare that I ever actually try any recipes I watch on youtube, but tonight I followed your recipe and it’s due to come out of the oven in ten minutes and it looks and smells heavenly! I feel like this one will be on heavy rotation…
Super yummy! We gotta try making this with harissa, it looks divine!
Looks amazing, can’t wait to try this! My family will expect rice or naan with the meal a staple requirement in Asian households!:o)
If I wanted to substitute red/yellow bell peppers for that color (not a fan of cooked grape tomatoes) do any of you think I need to adjust the cooking time? Or would that time under the broiler be adequate for sliced peppers?
Peice of ginger? You mean Piece? Why am I not surprised the dumbshit who got rid of Twizzlers can’t spell? Dick.
Didn’t remove the white bits from the pepper Chef Ramsay won’t be happy
Looks tasty! I probably would make it with just the veggies since I dont eat chicken
As an Indian I would say that we usually cook chicken in a deep skillet but it’s okay to bake as long as you are using the right Indian spices
What a complete prat. You should wash all salad before eating. It has been in a plastic bag for God knows how long, and you do not know what the food hygiene is of the person that packed it, or machine if done in bulk. You should also really soak pre packed salads so that it makes it moist once more. If you look at most salads they come from Spain. Spain is a big Country and hot, so they are picked, possibly packed in Spain, transported via road, kept in warehouses for weeks before hitting the supermarket shelves. No wonder why you went BANKRUPT!!!
This is now one of my fav meals! So easy and absolutely delish! I also chuck some chickpeas and/or cannellini beans at the bottom of the tray!
Wow this looks so flavorful. I love a single pan dinner, less to clean up.
Good morning! So nice to see this after not having any videos from you in a while! Sending love and hugs from the southeast US.
