Train your body to eat spicy food❤️eating spicy doesn’t have to mean getting the runs the next day.
I always preffered the red peppers but never knew red was because of ripe
I eat chili just about every other day with my tacos, good source of vitamin c too. I rarely get sick but when I do I bounce back within a day
There’s really nothing better then learning what you love is actually good for you!
This was SO informative! Thank you for your time. I love watching videos rather than reading articles, so this was a great addition to my diet info.:)
Well capsaicin can boost the metabolism by triggering hormones that regulate pain and the metabolism has to do with aging interesting
she looks like a 50 year old woman who raided her high school sons closet
The one stone that Thanos needed to survive that slice to the head. The Spice Stone…..
I just can’t take spicy food at all, I used to but the older I get the less tolerant I become, anything other than very mild burns my mouth & stomach so I rarely eat out
Welcome to thailand a place where there is atleast 15 spicy food sellers in each village
As a cancer researcher and lover of spicy food, I really appreciate that actual research that went into this. As far as I know SHUs are used to rate “spiciness” levels, so it’s not as vague as we think.
shits blood after eating that spicy mexican food

Well, not eating spicy food certainly makes life seem longer.
I love spice i eat spicy wong spicy noodles spicy burgur i LOVE spice
Like the video states, this study doesn’t account the test subjects’ diets.
Chillies however, are a fruit. Could it be that your average chili lover probably eats more fruits / vegetables in general?
I’m no nutritionist, and assumptions are logically a bad thing, but this sounds reasonable, no?
Me: I want to live longer
Me: watches this video and eats a lot of spicy food

Great video. Very informative. Thanks. There is nothing better and more credible than a real person, specially with good credentials, presenting a healthy food. Rather than the faceless robotic voice videos

I love chilis but I would bet that the cultures they are studying just eat better that most do in the west
Thermogenesis, the thermic effect of food, refers to the increase in energy expenditure required to digest any given food. Doesn’t really have much to do with how spicy something is
Here’s a recipe I like to ferment in my refrigerator-it lasts around 3 months,
Green Chilli Pickle
100 grams chili washed & dried (tops cut off, slit in the middle & cut into 3rds),
6-8 lemons (for juicing),
1 Tbsp fennel seeds,
1 Tbsp coriander seeds,
1 Tbsp fenugreek seeds,
1 Tbsp mustard seeds,
1/2 Tbsp cumin seeds.
Roast these spice & let cool, then grind. Add
1/2 Tbsp turmeric powder and
3 tsp ++ Salt,
Mix all the masalas together with the chills, turmeric & salt, then add
1/2 C mustard oil (or olive oi) and mix well. Place mixture in a clean jar and fill to the top. Now add the lemon juice to the top of this mixture, close lid and shake well. Everyday shake the mixture for at least 3 days. Now refrigerate.
jeez dude, you have a 200k+ audience, looking dirty and disheveled isn’t cool or professional. Also, the Californian errrr at the end of every sentence is unbearable.
My grandma of 88 has been smoking and eating jalapenos her whole life. Tell me jalapenos don’t bring life.

Kinda hilarious when you consider the hottest pepper on earth is Eds Carolina Reaper
Im literally eating a meal with chillis in them as i speak. A kind of lentil curry i just made. Greetings from England, and if anyone wants to see my chnl there is a mixiture of serious and silly and a decent favourites folder too:)
All types of chilli’s? I am an addict to chiles from jalapeños to yellow chiles, it makes food taste so good, specially meats, salty foods.
The best thing about this is that if you’re someone who hates spicy food (I was one of them) you can learn to love it! The first step is to stop being irrationally afraid of it and realize it isnt actually causing you harm, it just tricks your brain into seeming like pain.
Start small. Get some basic hot sauce and add it to foods you like. Just a little at first, then more until it becomes too easy. Then you can move onto hotter things! You can control the level of spice you experience, and get better and better at handling it. The more you have, the less it hurts. You can build a tolerance, and it could be good for you.
I love tea and I love spicy food. I drink 5 or more cups of green and black tea and herbal tea a day and I’m always eating spicy food. Maybe that’s why I look ten years younger than I am. Plus I don’t drink, but I do smoke ciggs.
Hey Dr thanks for the vid
Could you please advise on how or what’s the best way to eat it?
Sorry but even health benefits won’t get me to eat spicy food. I don’t like any pepper, spicy or not. lol
Pirates extinction is cause of climate change! same logic applies
I really love your video Tums UPS on that I believe that spicy foods end the hottest peppers in the world is a antivirus for sicknesses I started cooking with Carolina Reaper peppers and ghost peppers with my meals last time I’ve gotten sick was year 2016 that’s a long time and I’m still eating peppers and I’ve never gotten sick viruses has been around my whole family with stomach flus colds and everything I’ve even dodged the swine flu so I strongly believe that hot foods scare viruses away because hot foods will go to your blood streams causing the viruses to panic and self destruct because it is unbearable to live in The Host
yeah, look who is analyzing, what is the percentage of cancer and alzhemirs disease patients in your meat eating country
Hello I’m sorry this question is so off topic but it’s really important and I wanted you to see it. A while ago you made a video on the herb gymnema, and I have to know, is it safe for toddlers and children? I have a 2 year old niece that has gotten very picky since she acquired the taste for sugar, and she asks for cookies, juice and chocolate a lot. She has a chubby build like the women in my family, and we’ve also struggled with bad food habits and my mom has diabetes so I’m really concerned for the toddler
14% lower chance of death? chance of death is 100%. so what is that 14% lower chance.
Seeds of a pepper do not have the heat. This is a common misconception.
I just started taking cayenne pills. What do you mean it supports insulin? It helps create more insulin or it buffers against it??
SPICY FOOD IS AMAZING FOR CANCER. 6 THAI PEPPERS A DAY ESPECIALLY!
I have no idea what’s going on but I for the life of me cannot load this video
Hi doctor,is it true that cayenne pepper is good food for the heart? Some claims it can stop a heart attack in its spot? I make a tincture using fresh cayenne pepper and if my habanero pepper tree has its habaneros i make a nice strong tincture with that
Peppers is where it’s at. Store bought OJ has basically zero vitamin C because it’s all been burned off through pasteurization. Thus most peoples’ vitamin C intake is placebo!
Was lookin for a video to educate me on the health benefits of jalapeño pepper,, and this was exactly what I was looking for thanks man!!!
Jalapenos help me lose weight. They aren’t that hot, but when I eat peppers with any kick, it seems to kill my hunger.
Dr. Berg your vids are awesome…I’ll try the chilli peppers as well…Thank you for the wonderful info…
But what about the Sodium? I recently found that Jalapeños apprently have very high amounts of Sodium:/
Add these with my one meal a day for my fasting and maintaining weight. I usually chop up my chicken / meat and stir fry em with a bunch of different veggies with corn tortillas to make tacos… great for digestion and helping you “go”… also add Serrano peppers in as well which also helps.
what i do is i cut small pieces of cayenne and swallow them up, one by one, real fast trying to avoid getting the cayenne touch the sides of my mouth or tongue. feels hot but without the burning taste. gives me energy and i feel really good inside my tummy
I recommend teechino herbal coffee alternative. 80mg potassium from chilis in the morning!
Im mexican so like i have said a food with out spice is no food real talk…
Jalapeno was so spicy today guys I had to research them, damn! Very informative though!
I got a question about chilli: I’m in puberty right now and I have really bad akne. I restrict my refined carbohydrates/sugar and I try to eat less protein with a high insulin index. I just read an article online that states that hot food is bad for akne. Is this true? Because I love hot food and I don’t really wanna restrict eating it.
It is also great to sniff up your nose for sinus headaches and infections. It does burn a little for a minute or two but it’s so worth it!
Old timers disease isn’t just for old timers anymore…I think I’m getting a slight case of it…and after that coronawestnilevirus scare…I don’t need anymore of that shit
But if you are a chicken about spicy food, then you are screwed…
Between drinking a lot of coffee and eating a lot of spicy food; I’m going to live forever!!
I always tell people that if you want vitamin C, you want peppers, not OJ.
Hey, I love your videos about Ketosis and so.
I myself do Intermittent fasting and your tips are really helpful!

Very interesting information, but got a headache from the presenter. That annoying sing-song voice. Similar to why I hate chef John on allrecipes.com.
G’morning Dr Berg, I use to love all chili peppers, but since I’ve been on the keto diet, I can’t eat them without dying from the heat! Is this normal?? SUX cause I miss them…
Hello dr berg! I want to know your opinion about white rice?? I’m a Caribbean girl and I think I’m addicted to rice, I boiled with salt and little oil
if you’re eating animal products and sugar and package foods. It wont do much.
I eat nothing but highly painful spicy food, im about 10kg over weight at least.
That’s why white people die fast, they don’t eat spicy foods, they only eat sandwiches and drink starbucks
I knew an old gentleman farmer up north, that made his own cayenne pepper capsules back in the late 60’s and early 70’s.. He would take several throughout the day every day. and he lived well into his late 90’s if not 100. He died after the doctor’s and family told him at his age he needs to be on meds. I started to making my own capsules yrs ago. and it really doesn’t hurt your stomach as long as you don’t make them to hot.
7 health benefits if they are scientifically proven why use “MAY”.
Chili peppers are nice, but not for arthritis, if you are sensitive to nightshades (which chili pepper is). Nightshades can trigger issues with those with autoimmune type arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis).
Hot pepper steam clears congestion & irritated eyes. Just boil a half a pepper.
If bell peppers heat up the body wouldn’t that mean that it might not be wise for women who are experiencing menopausal hot flashes to eat?
so the white folks who dont season their damn chicken r gonna keel over before everyone else?

I m from india and I need 2 raw green chillies in my every meal I am addicted to them and our chillies are 2-3 times more hotter than American chillies they are so mild for me that I can pretty much snack on them…
No disrespect, but I love how so many folks say something catchy in the comments just to get attention.
I just ate a green hot pepper, and I can feel my body absorbing the energy! It’s about 20yrs since I’ve had one probably amazing properties!
What if someone likes to eat spicy hot sauce with everything in very large quantities as they claim to feel nothing (its not that spicy even when it is!), could this have a negative effect?
Dr Berg, I can’t eat spicy (chili) food anymore it just goes straight through me. Maybe i have become too alkaline! for them!
Thank you for this video! Amazing! Now if I could only get my 6 year old to try them…
Jokes on you, I have an iron digestive tract! Spicy food has no adverse effect on me.
1:35 YOU SHOULD’VE SWITCHED THOSE AROUND! YOU SHOULD HAVE SAID RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS!
“A few red flakes will add pop”
That might be the whitest thing I’ve ever heard.
To answer your questions, I certainly am hoping so! My goal 116 years of age, think its possible?
I can eat Jalapenos raw. I love them. Thanks for the info. I will treat myself more often.
Chili Peppers are very easy to grow. I didn’t know the Vitamin C value. I’ve been slowly eliminating synthetics, so now I have another Vitamin C source. Thanks Dr. “Amazing” Berg!
Does crushed red pepper and and ground red pepper have the same benefits?
Green peppers are unripe version of red, yellow and orange peppers, along with every other variety of pepper.
I’ve only seen some pepper varieties go from yellow to red (some hot varities), but in bell peppers it’s mostly a myth that they go from yellow to orange to red.
Some hot peppers and some sweet peppers turn black before turning red
Green chili here in New Mexico don’t deprive yourselves of the joy (or the benefits)! So good!
thai peppers saved my life from metastasised lung cancer back in 2007. i had to eat 6 a day for weeks. I also avoided sugar and soda pop. Big Pharma is real.
I was hoping you would’ve done a much longer more informative video on Hot Peppers and their benefits. They are known as the King of Herbs because they enhance all other herbs. Can save you from a Heart Attack according to Dr Christopher, rebuild your circulation system, and cure ulcers among many other benefits…
Thanks, never knew a green pepper is an unripened red pepper! Got here from looking up the delicious red peppers I’m about to turn into fajitas!

I am 49 years, postmenopausal and have joint pain especially in my fingers. I put turmeric spice and pepper on nearly everything I eat and I wonder if turmeric +piperin 3000 mg per day in capsules have more strength than the spice?
