Nick at his peak was better than Kipchoge at all distances 1 mile and shorter. There aren’t many people who can say that, as amazing as Eliud is at the longer distances.
Awesome video. Thanks. I must of rewatched 5x already. Keep them coming.

Keep moving forward.
The fight isnt over until you give up.

Since I am a Muslim and the governor of the five daily prayers , my relationship with ALLAH is permanent and strong , and that helps me to overcome any obstacles in this difficult exam “life” , so when you lose your relationship with ALLAH you become like a newborn baby whose mother left him on the street and did not receive any help What will you imagine the feeling of this child The innocent is also the case for those who suffer from depression.
I used the google translator so sorry if there is mistakes
That last statement is one of the most impactful things I’ve ever heard.
I’m just a 14 year old girl who’s stress levels are so high my head wants to explode. I’m pushing I really am. ❤️
I am here because I got 28% in my science test and I have to study but I don’t want to
Do not make someone else’s words a priority to you when all you are to them is an option!
I have an idea, get four people together of mixed ability who love running. Have each of them with lovable and unique personalities. Then get them to record videos about running. I think it’d be great. I’d watch it. Just stuck on what I’d call it…
I just started my last year towards my associates degree and I’ve started this semester with a bad start I’ve already procrastinated a lot because I didn’t feel like working on my assignments on the weekend before I go to work, I really needed this thank you, I will go all out and try my absolute best to succeed, and study hard every single day, no matter how hard it gets, no matter how overwhelmed I become, no matter how much sleep I lose, no matter how much I don’t want to do the homework, I can, I will, and I must achieve my ultimate goal at the end of this year! And graduate college with my first college degree
When life gets harder, don’t wish to be easier. Decide to be stronger. When you feel like quitting think about why you started. If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you. Everyday is a chance to change your life!
2 minutes is enough to almost rest for me at that pace, so I can just go 20/30 times

I always wanted to be a racer as a kid but I got diagnosed with autism making me shy and not wanting to take part in anything.. sadly as a kid I didn’t take my shot at becoming a racer but now I’m 16 I’m older and coping with autism I still really want to be a racer.
My problem is idk what I’m destined to do. So it makes it hard to go after something when I have no idea

My ex left me broken and in a very dark place and blamed me for so many things, lied about me. Lost my job afterwards, couldn’t go back to my country. It’s been two months and I’m going through this right now, I am a boxer and I know how to get up when you are locking the floor mat.I can do this!!
We’re taught in school that words are powerful, be careful how you use them.
Well, thoughts are just words that you speak to yourself. They better be empowering you, as opposed to draining you out.
Weird thing to think about
What if we were meant to act liek the people in the mental asylums, but someone thought it would be normal to at liek how we do now…
And crazy people are accually normal and were the crazy ones….
I’m 9 but I know what eat before a race nothing my first race. I got 30:30 my second race I got 25:53 and when I’m older I want to run a sub two hour marathon it would be hard but Eluid kipchoge were both light he’s about 113 pounds I’m 58 pounds and an average 5 year old is about 53 pounds
I’m going to be Someone in this world! I’m gonna work my ass off and focus on myself and fall forward and succeed mark my words!
Strava art I accidentally planned a rather rude route on the app. It’s a fantastic hill session it’s just not PG. I haven’t run it… yet…
Im currently bored of running. I think its because im in a rut. Diet is getting bad and my times are therefore getting slower. Im running more because of lockdown but getting nowhere and its very disheartening. I think an event to look forward to would be a big help
If you like running you don’t get bored with it. If i could run 3 times a day i would! Otherwise you can cross train
I have 25 years old and i am rich,not because I have money,I don’t have money,I have a dream…and I fght for this
Running alone I am starting to struggle now. I miss the social aspect of parkrun for example. I’ve still not done any run events either! Started running in Jan, signed up for 3, 1 cancelled and 2 pushed back! So frustrating! I’ve not run for almost a month now and I’ll be honest I overthink just getting out there
Just got done watching this movie and saw many things in it that I applied to my life and something I still need to apply. Great Vid man
You can also run without your watch ⌚ and don’t worry about paces and some easy milage

Thank you for making this video for the past year I have been struggling but I have listened to this video almost every night and it has been a game changer
Running track around a soccer pitch = My paradise
Seriously I’d be there every day
The Flaw with this challenge is that y’all build up distance rather than start off fresh. Sure you can argue Kipchoge ran it with no rest. But by the time y’all hit 1000m. 3000m of Muscle usage had been used. So…not bad. But I think it should be on a treadmill to test it.
Oh no i’m not depressed I’m just forever broken i just can’t care anymore you know when i was a little boy my mom and dad was fighting a lot but i always wanted to join the military and become a marine that was so much to me but why your asking my older friend was a solder he said he would come back 2 years down the line found out he got killed and that was the day my girl friend left me i was so hurt and my family wasn’t helping one bit because there to busy fighting jeez dude that’s not even a little bit iv’e told you my home got robbed on Christmas day when I was at my nana’s house i wen’t boxing at 15 years old only because i got bullied at school then got kicked out teachers right uhh after a while everything was ok until 2020 came around lol it’s funny you know because one thing goes then something else happens but your past i can never ever forget i’m forever broken lets see what next will happen in maybe 5 mins lol
I think this might be my favourite video ever. Must have listened to it at least 1000 times..
this really helped me a lot, gaining my confidence, giving me an opportunity to stand up. after watching all those videos i have decided to make a video to help people with words.
my video may not be as motivational as this video, but i wanna help people to get supported and stand up again after all those consequences.

I use to be sad depressed basically over nothing then life hit me hard when my kidney fail and here I’m 6 years later living on a machine waiting for a organ I said why me God. Forgive me I had it all and now that I lost it I realize it.but it has made me unbreakable and once I get my health back in going to be the best version of me.
I am one of those whose life was changed from watching this video and I am beyond thankful that you made this, you have probably changed many lives, thanks for always spreading positivity and making the world a better place, especially when others try so hard to put you down. “behind every fear is the person you want to be”
I passed my drivers written test!! I fucken passed and it felt good! It felt good FUCK YESSS. I felt so insecure and scared because of everything that was taken away from me.. so many things.. It went from holding it close to watching it slip away from my fingers within hours. I was scared of taking small risks over small tasks (I was afraid of being rejected from life). Before I took my exam I studied and studied(2 whole weeks). I remembered how I’d pass my exams, but the things I’ve gone through made me weak… I allowed it to make me weak(I was my own bully). The day of the exam, I got up one morning I was like mom give me till 11:00am I will be ready and even if I’m not I will take it(I got my book, the laptop, and my notebook. Studied the same way I would for any exam). My mom looked at me and said,”if you fail once get back up fight back double. It’s okay to fail, but it’s not okay to give up.” She reminded me of all of my achievements during high school and how I dedicated myself to my work. I graduated with a 3.4 gpa, my high school didn’t help me when I had trouble with college. I stumbled so hard that it felt like I didn’t even have a minute to breath. Even having a high gpa didn’t mean anything in life. Mostly, when you don’t know how to handle it. I saw how people around me were able to know what to do, but when I’d ask no one wanted to help me. I’m learning and slowly growing.. but I remember how I would help everyone and loved it, but when I needed it I didn’t notice how many people had their backs turned on me. Thanks to this I was able to help my family financially and my mom during her therapy sessions at the hospital. (I’m getting comfortable) Passing my written test revived the fire I had during high school when things were worse. Im not done yet. This new chapter.. my life is barely begging… I’m honestly excited.
you in that 1k reminded me of how I ran my 1k the first time i did the indoor heptathlon.. the war flashbacks
Attention: Free Book gist, become an organization!
Hey
I know you’re busy watching “WHEN LIFE HITS YOU”, but I got an important message for you.
Motivational video are a distraction, what you really need is inspiration.
Don’t rely on outside factors to get going and use anger against yourself as the fuel, motivation gets you hooked on validation!
We’re all organizations in the government’s eyes, unfortunately a failing ones…
Regardless of the reason, let’s not play the blame game, I’ve got a solution for you.
Simply put, it’s think less and do more.
The biggest problem people face is getting stuck in their own heads, thinking a lot yet not doing much.
The problem lies in language, it wasn’t meant to talk to ourselves, our mind & body should be one, we should just flow.
Thinking in words is just like talking to ourselves out loud, it’s crazy!
Do you believe dogs bark in their own heads?!
it’s not only my opinion, many philosophies suggest the same, including Mushin & Jeet Kune Do.
Be purposeful, get organized & make a plan, don’t think much about the past nor the future, learn from the past and plan for the future, don’t have expectations, just stay away from distractions and do what you have to do at all times and keep trying until you succeed.
It’s simple, as I said, think less and do more, that’s the slogan!
Just flow!
This advice is the result of 6 years of thinking, I could’ve made it into a book and added some fluff to fill up pages, but I decided to give it away for free.
Don’t take it for granted! People tend to value things that they pay for more.

Been on the top of my game, very motivated and driven, but then somehow i lost it somewhere on the way. Depression, Burnout, selfdoubt turning into selfhate and existential crisis hit so hard i didnt even leave my room for Months. Live was hell and my mind was the devil. It took me so long to get help, but sometimes you need help, theres no shame in it, nobody can do all in live alone and be succesfull. Reach out for help, but when you get it, you need to start walking on your own feet again. Wish everybody that he makes it, even if you are in the darkest place you could think of right now. Dont give up! I nearly did, and i am glad i didnt!
Our coach has set virtual races as challenge for us, I tried a few and found them really motivating. There is very simple rules to follow such that we have to be alone when running them. We send the results of our run to the coach and he publishes them with a ranking. Simple yet fun it is like the weight watcher principle applied to running where you share your victories.
What movie is that and thank you so much for uploading videos like this

Imperfections make you human
Humanity makes you influential
Gotta Love GoalCast!!! Truth.
We all GO THROUGH it. “Go” implying we’re moving, our position isn’t permanent. “Through” implies that there is another side, a brighter day. You are not your circumstances; you are what you choose to be in the midst of said circumstances. I could watch inspirational videos all day long, but then I’d get nothing done. lol. This video reminds us all to look forward in life. Move towards abundance vs away from scarcity. Instead of looking at problems as obstacles, we should see them as opportunities. Opportunities to grow and learn more about ourselves!

Josh Shipp, you have done marvelously well in your life. Thank you that you share your life wisdom with the world at large. Yes, the hardships we do not talk about haunt us…rule us (I am intimately acquainted with this sentiment). My wish for you is that you also find pure, indescribable love…a home for your heart.
I am a new runner and last week I ran my first 5km and 3 days later 8 km. I am obssessioned. I always want to running…it’s a vicious but I know that I need to rest at least 1 day hehe
Running in the forest helps me a lot when I don’t really feel like it.
Damn fucking powerful! My life is easier than most so I will not complain! I wil lblame myself for everything and walk the hard path! As lonely as that path might be, I must do it for the good of many!

I feel like it’s too late now… wasted too many years, too much lateness.
It was almost mentioned in there! Why not try some backwards running as an alternative challenge? Find a smooth and wide route through your local park to start with and if you enjoy it there’s a World Champion being held in North London in July 2021 giving you something to train towards.

Facing your challenges and fears is literally the only way to build character
I don’t think I get bored with running, though sometimes I’m unmotivated. This is when habit or discipline helps— even unmotivated, it’s easier to run than not to run. On mornings when I’m not motivated, I tell myself I can just go one mile and quit. 99% of the time, I end up running further than a mile.
Some NOTES here.
All of us have or will face challenges at some point in life, sometimes things will be completely out of our control.
But secretly how you react with that situation inside matters the most.
REMEMBER: The things that you don’t talk out, you act out. Same applies in life, you can’t run away from challenges, situation but you have to have the courage to turn around and fight with it.
My crazy passion is to share summaries like started doing it on my channel with PDF summaries.✌

The fact the movie used in this video is based on a true story, makes this video even more motivating. Imagine being told you’ll be lucky to ever walk again and not only walking again but climbing back into a boxing ring to fight, to do what you love, Vinny Paz is a legend.
He proves that anyone can accomplish anything, doesn’t matter how crazy it seems, it can and will be done

I was succeeding. I had my apartment, my brand new car payed off, my job was great, I was fit, self-aware, confident and my bills were always payed off. I met someone who lied to me on an engagement, financially dried me, totaled my car, cheated on me, and brought my self esteem down by domestic violence. I had it all and it vanished so quickly. I just graduated college and although that’s great, I can’t help but feel like I failed or went backgrounds and its been really hard to get back up. Someday I’ll get over it and start climbing again. Be wise. Not everyone wants the best for you.
When I started running two years ago I decided that it had to be a habit, so it is. I go out three times a week regardless of the weather or the temperature, although icy pavements can make me think twice. Even if it’s boring, I still go out. Up until a couple of weeks ago I listened to podcasts while I ran, but now I prefer to run without my earphones so that I can hear anyone approaching who might not be social distancing.
Nice way to pacify yourself that u competed kipchoge…good try by the way
My god.. how is that even possible.. kipchoge wasn’t even tired at the end of the marathon

My mind and my surrounding environment did horrible things with my inner self..but now screw it! Currently, I’m trying to understand what the real situation is! I’m changing my mindsets. I’m proud to say that I AM GROWING DAY BY DAY♥️
I didn’t know 800m was half a mile 0_0 to get 2:19 in half a mile you would have to run slightly faster than 12 mph the entire time, it doesn’t look like they are going that fast though. I’m more use to printing though, my best 100m is 10.09.
I didn’t know chandler was colour bind. You learn something new each day
Me: So Kipchoge, are you a sprinter or a marathoner?
Kipchoge: Yes

4:27 4:37 gave me chills. Watching this video a month before I leave for bootcamp for the navy first time being away from my family and hometown, those 10 seconds almost made me tear up cus I’m so motivated and hungry for success but I know theres going to be some hard times so. God i love this video
I’ve never seen someone fix their hair so many times under a hat
Since this lockdown has started I decided to do couch to 5k which was a god send when not knowing where to start and also gave me something to strive for and it encouraged me now I’m able to run 6k in 39 minutes and I am striving to being able to run 10k and hopefully a bit further on a half marathon next year.
I have no clue how pacers work in running but are they just that much better than the actual runners? Like wtf he’s fine
Nick start running heavy again to get in shape you can continue racing at masters!!
“I’m better at the track” proceeds to warm up in the wrong direction
Imagen being MrBeast’s friend
You winning a challenge getting 20,000
Chandler wins nothing
Everyone watching this during these tough times stay strong and stay safe.
Kipchoge is highly underrated. Should be crown the greatest athlete in history.what he does defies human physiology.
Why do so many YouTubers insist on being so loud and fake excitement?
so…. this tough guys dont use there strength to save the world… but to play on grass… for Money…. mmmm….. fake and phony all these men ARE Coward’s they are all sell out and paid. matrix actors….. noje them will fight the beast….. i will…. and i will
Hey Nick Simmonds youre fucking over weight thats why youre dying in running. You Run like a duck.
I’ve always storytelling, so I wanted to be a movie director. When I was 11 I was told I wouldn’t be able to achieve anything in life because I was apart of the lgbtq community and nobody would want to hire me because of it. I’m here years later, a nonbinary person who storytells on the internet on platforms such as Amino and Instagram and will be attending on of the best film schools in our state. There are times when I feel like they were right, but then that makes me work harder.
I always want to be a doctor. To be a good doctor… sometime i want to give up cause it so hard and i so tired about that but… i will try learn hard more and more. It is one of reason i have to live for my life…
thank you a lot of M2S
My advice: watch a running channel video on the day you are meant for a run, you will then want to get out running. I have said it now so I need to stick with it now.
The thumbnail looked like kipchoges’ arms were blocking them
the problem is not doing 1:07 in one lap…the problem comes when you have to do it continously for 2hrs
I only get too run on a weekend so try to do at least a 10k and a 5 k. I tend to go around 530am in the summer months it works for me at the moment
Before being “old”, you have above all some extra pounds… 😉
He looked familiar and then I realised that he looks like Harry potter
They started 2 seconds too early in the beginning and 2 seconds off in the end
I disagree with her saying we shouldn’t wait until we feel like making that change. I believe in fate very strongly. Can’t speak for others, just myself. I always knew God put me here for a reason and all the events in the first 35 years of my life led me to that point when I knew it was time to work on myself and my destiny. I always knew it and I know that everything that has ever happened to me was supposed to happen exactly as it did. If not, if even one thing were tweaked in the slightest, I wouldn’t be here now 4 years into working on my mind and 2 years into working on my outside. I’ve come a long ways, but I have a long ways to go. I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in physically, mentally and spiritually than I have ever been in my whole life and getting better in all fronts every single day. I’m making the things happen that I have always wanted to do. I was really down for 6 years but the thing that kept me going in my worst times was that I KNEW that one day when it all turned around I’d be far far happier than I ever was down. Not only has that proven true, but to far greater lengths than I could’ve ever imagined. My body has been naturally producing the same feeling that Zoloft makes you feel. I tried Zoloft long ago, but didn’t like how it felt. Now that I know what I was feeling I realize it really does make you feel utter euphoria but I didn’t know what it was back then and my mind wasn’t right enough to accept and understand that. Now that I feel that way naturally, I can’t ever see life the way I did before. I had two major things happen this year already that we’re bad. However, I’ve come out stronger on the other side and it was far more easy to accept it since I have an absolute positive mind set. The things I learned in the past when I was down and the things I’ve learned since I’ve been happy again have helped me to accept those thing for what they are. It hasn’t shaken my positive foothold I have on my mind. You can get there too I promise. You just have to do it, but maybe it’s not time to yet, OR maybe it wasn’t time and reading this message will make you realize that it is now time. I hope, good luck and God bless and time really does heal all wounds, it just might take longer sometimes than others.
I don’t really get bored running but what I’ve started doing recently is trying to get myself lost. I turn down roads I’ve never run down before and have a nosey at all the houses as I’m running. It’s paid off I found a pub I never knew was there. I just have to wait for it to open now.
It looked like they ran like 4-5 laps every time in like 2-3 minutes I got so confused for how many laps they had.
Damn i have the exact build of levet, i really should have tried more
I added this to my motivational playlist, then the guy goes, “i don’t like being recognized as a motivational speaker…” uuummm okay lol good speech
Lmao im having the opposite dilemma, im rlly motivated to run but ive got BLOODY SHIN SPLINTSSSSSS
realy no! surely people don’t get bored with running. I’m like bear with a sore head if I can’t get out. It’s the only thing in this crazy world tbat keeps me sane.
I’ve noticed I am becoming complacent during the end of lockdown, I thought it was just me, thank you for this video it’s been a real help!!
Too active dog is the best motivator when running. No matter of the weather, time of the day my dog wants to run 😉 the only chance to cheat her is a very long walk, but not always it’s possible LOL
Had anyone ever tried learning a new language while running?
I watch youtube or netflix while running in treadmill if I cannot go outside.
I started running December 2018 and my very first 10km was a trail race. I started road and trail running because I loved taking part in races whether it be road or trail (loved trail more purely because of some of the locations I got to run around). I never found motivation a problem last year when it came to training because I had races and times I wanted to achieve, not to mention all the training sessions I could do with my running club when I joined them in July last year. I was a bit of a lone wolf runner for the first few months of running and enjoyed it. I never had any set training sessions to begin with and just tried to run a 5km and 10km faster each time. I eventually started downloading some audio guided coaching sessions from the Nike Run Club app, which again I enjoyed quite a lot. After I joined my running club and started becoming more of a social runner, I was finding that I didn’t really like lone wolf training as much as I did before. I had so many big plans for my second year of running. I was going to do my first marathon in April in Newport, my first 15 miler over the Mendip hills and my first 50km ultra. I have always been motivated in my training by races I have signed up for and a virtual race just isn’t the same as an actual race day with hundreds if not thousands of people. With no races and no club training I’ve completely lost all motivation. I do have one friend I can run with now but he always wants to run 10 to 15 miles on a trail route and I just have no love for trail (in fact I actually have a hatred for trails at the moment). I really need to find some people from my local area that likes road running as my club have been absolutely useless (I will not be renewing my membership next year). I like some of your ideas but again I just can’t get myself out the door
Someone tore my confidence down today…i needed this…thank u so much
Running never makes me bored. If i can get earning from running then I will run all 365 if not injured
I am so proud of you!!!!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank You!!!!!!
Life is hard but for people like me its even harder adult survivor of. Child hood abuse, trauma, lost my grandma and my baby sister and my older brother sometimes i don’t know what to do,
I pretend I’m Eliud Kipchoge (really) my favorite part is when I’m at the end of the run by my house and I start pointing at my neighbors and at the sky like he did running 1:59. It also gives me a good laugh at the end cause I imagine how goofy I must’ve looked
Turn around and face the ghost(challenge)…only then he would stop and you would grow…! Great lesson Josh.
I have never regretted a workout after it is over, but I have regretted not doing one.
I was motivated during March and April as the Wings for life race was still going to happen. I loved the race and I ran so much quicker and longer than I would usually do. Would anybody know about an app that involves some kind of “catcher car” function?
You can control your life, you only have one life, make the most of it. Face your fears.
To ‘celebrate’ the longest day last weekend and to try to recover my running mojo I was up for my first run at 4.30 a.m. and then did the same one mile route each hour until sunset at 9.30 p.m., 18 runs in total. I also wore a different race t-shirt for each run. Fastest mile 11.45, slowest 12.47, happy with that. Strange times call for strange actions!
Advice for runners getting back at it after an injury? I just recovered from a sprained ankle and am starting to run again. Scared of reinjury or discovering my fitness level has substantially decreased!
I tried this today, I could barely run Kipchoge‘s speed for 150m
This man is a machine, unbelievable how he could run that fast for almost 2 hours
(just fyi I‘m a beginner, I‘ll try my best to improve)
You guys gotta be kidding! “Kipchoge challenge”…..????? Run in his pace for about 20 miles or plus, that would be a KIPCHOGE CHALLENGE! What you guys joking around here on the track is a shame and a disgrace in the name of Kipchoge, shame on you…..I do respect Nick’s achievements as an athlete, but this video is just off to say the least!!! I just couldn’t watch it any longer, after the first 7 minutes…….:(
Have you ever felt a bit bored with running? How did you overcome it and make your runs more enjoyable? Let us know in the comments below!
It’s good to mix in other activities like swimming, hiking and cycling. In fact, I got into triathlon because I was bored with all the hot running with no good races during one summer. Also, we do running challenges in our FB group to keep things interesting!
Literally as a cross country runner, this was such a pain to watch because I hate interval training as fun as it can be sometimes, it’s just really painful and long. And the Kipchoge Challenge is no joke.
Cross training. I found it difficult to return to running when I took a day or two off, so my recovery breaks ended up being a week or more off running. Then I would just get really down on myself, and running started to become much less enjoyable even when I did get back to it. When I started cycling again on my days off running, I found it much easier to return to my running schedule. And, the cycling seems to help my recovery so running itself feels much better and more enjoyable.
I imagine any sort of cardio cross training that takes the impact out but keeps the aerobic training going, would work. I think cycling is such a good pairing because it gets blood pumping into the muscles and sretches out the fibres that need to recover most while removing the impact. Also, running greatly improves cycling endurance so cycling itself becomes more enjoyable.
I’ve never been bored of running. I look at my running shoes and I want to go out for that run. But I do want spice things up. Right now, I aim to run my first marathon in late 2021, and I want to do it in under 4 hours. No point in dragging it out for longer than absolutely necessary. So, I now have a plan to achieve that goal with guidance of a running coach. Every day of the next 18 months is planned out for me. Never a dull moment. It will be a fun journey and the marathon at the end of it will be the cream on top. I will enjoy running it because I will be prepared.
Love your voice sir…..I am your biggest fan from India
I am going to try the zombie run! I often get bored running on my own so I try and run with someone. The only problem is I’m such a chatterbox that my poor running partners can’t keep up with the conversation as they are all out of breath. But it definitely helps me though!
I got injured badly in a futsal practice two days ago I went to doctors again I was supposed to be playing soon but I have to wait one more month in total I’m injured for 10 weeks
I listen to podcasts, musics or just the birds singing. It helps.:)
Im not huge in running, but as an outsider, all the big news companies were focusing on the shoes! I know they were good, but cut kipchoge some slack. 13 MPH! My treadmill reaches 10! Good this channel is showing some recognition.
My running club have come up with a good idea…..twice a week they put up a ‘scavenger list’, so when you run next, you have to try and find everything on the list and take a photo of it. Could be a yellow car, a hanging basket or a dog poo bin!! Etc Makes your run a bit more interesting and fun
When i get bored of road running i hit the trails, be it in the woods, hills or mountains. The thing about trails is the terrain is always changing so it keeps the mind active and you must always be alert for tree roots and being in nature is just so good for the mental health aswell!!!!!
Thank you for the great ideas. Running has helped me stay healthy. It has help keep my blood pressure down.
We are doing virtual Parkrun relays which has been fun. Perhaps you could release a running channel podcast where all of you shout at me to go faster….thanks for the inspiration, always a highlight of my week to tune in!
It’s just past 5am here in the states and I’m struggling to go… I must go…
What editing program do you use for this? I wanna try to make a video like this. Especially the voice lap.
I try to run every other day but my calves feel like there gonna explode I wear compression socks to help but it doesnt help I also stretch before and after no change I’ve been running for over 6 weeks not getting any better why do my calves hurt so much?
You guys inspire me a lot. Just ran my first half marathon today around my house. And I’ve been running less than a year. Keep up the great videos
I don’t have any friends who are willing to go running with me or they just can’t keep up with my pace so my dad “coaches” me on his bike. He makes sure to give me hell and it’s honestly the most fun I’ve had with him. He truly makes my runs more fun. Thank you running channel for your tips I’ll definently try some of those today.:)
I’m trying to run every street in my small town in 2020. My guess is it’s around 300 miles total. Going down new streets keeps things fresh
All Chinese kids physical test is to run 1km in 4:30 nonstop or you fail the physical test
Personally, it’s not fear of rejection anymore. It’s just being fed up by it.
I know failure, shame, regret, guilt because I spent 11 years in prison. Thank God for giving me a vision to be a somebody. I’m going to school to be a diesel mechanic next year. I’m 34 but that isn’t stopping me. By the grace of God, I’ll do it!
I don’t get bored running I just wanted to see what this vid was about
I live right next to Atlanta, a really amazing city of neat little neighborhoods. We also have the most urban forest of any major metropolis in the US (so, a surprising number of trails, even in the heart of the city). One of the joys of running for me is using my Saturday long run to explore parts of the city I’ve never seen. Last year, I set and completed the project of running all the streets in my town. Got to know it really well.
I really have never heard a runner say they get bored of running. If someone gets bored then I can only guess it’s a lack of motivation or they don’t really know why they run.
A runner may not feel like running. That is 99pct a sign of bad health or exhaustion and then they also should not run.
Hey guys my name is tiger lm living in Turkey in kind of deep hole one day l will be the fitness model all of you will see that remember this comment after 5 years thanks
Motivation doesn’t last long, discipline does. If we just keep looking for the next kick to run we will run out eventually. So I think the “why” is very important. Gives you the sense of commitment and the discipline to do what you need to do even when you’re not feeling doing.
I’m sorry, but jogging a long time isn’t the most impressive human feat. Respect to endurance athletes, but fast twitch >slow twitch.
Honestly, I seriously needed this today. And I’m so shook that this video says everything which I wanted to hear rn
Thank you so much
The best thing to do is to imagine yourself at the end of the day. If you won’t run, you will think you were too lazy, but if you do run, then you can be proud that you did it and have a nice shower after your training.
It’s easy to break his world record. It needs great practice I love to break his record

The Running Channel
Love your video, yea I get like that some times, (go to my favourite park) which is quiet quite, (not many runners/people) do 1 minute fast effects (downhill) 1 minute recovering for 30 minutes, although find 50 seconds to 1 minute in my fast effects the toughest bit,
Geez you have an ugly stride Soo much wasted movement. Your knees kick outside badly and it was super evident watching your running partner.
I keep on rotating my routes. There are 3 lakes around where I live, within 5 kms apart. And then there is my apartment complex with a perimeter of 1km. And on weekends, mostly Sunday morning, I run on the road since the vehicular traffic is lesser. Even in that I keep changing the routes by going into different by lanes
This video came at exactly the right time! I’ve started listening to podcasts, your last video gave lots to try and they’ve really helped keep things fun. I find I run further without realising it. I’m definitely going to try running every street in my area and Strava running art! Great ideas, thanks running channel!
I’ve been doing a lot of Zwift running on a treadmill lately. It takes away the normal boredom of TM running and kept me going over the lockdown. You don’t necessarily need a smart treadmill, there’s lots of ways to get Zwifting on a standard system e.g. foot pods, Runn sensors and Apps.
Ever tried orienteering for the where? The great thing is, before you go, you don’t know where you’ll be going! And it’s a race! Download MaprunF, load up a map and give it a go.
Great video, without a race to train for my running has suffered, one of my teenagers barely leave her bed let alone house, but my 16 year old son comes on his bike,it’s great to have the company and so far we haven’t crashed.
Great Video I needed to hear this and share this with my kids
Whats is up guys do me a huge favor & checkout my channel.
Also checkout my online store(s) I want to someday have enough money to change the world. I want to be like amazon. To be able to help the poor worldwide. To help nature and the animals. I want to give hope. Especially to innocent kids that leave in the streets

Hello guys if you wanna change your life just watch this
https://youtu.be/gSnF5Z8-Zes
If I really don’t feel like running I bribe myself by finishing at Crosstown Doughnuts in Shoreditch, probably not the most sustainable of habits but I think exercise + doughnut is better than no exercise + no doughnut
This is not an accident why I’m here. I need this! Thank you.
I’m having one of these days today and was not gonna go for a run but you guys inspired me to try one of these things (will try zombies run) and go! Thanks!
I’ve been talking to people who do 50+ milers and find out that 20 miles is a training run for some.
Thanks for the suggestions! In 2008 I started running backwards and it became a bit of a social experiment, because people would approach me and ask questions. Also I would run face to face with my friends when we shared runs. It lead to a half-marathon in 2009. I also know of at least one person who juggles while running. Go crazy!
I found that finishing at a local [small] coffee shop has helped recently. Finishing a run which ends with coffee and chat has helped locally and as of yesterday a little bit further out. Its the small things that help and I am glad its just not me!
Hey Anna today did my first Trail run…it was so much fun….will be running 15k tomorrow…lots of love to the channel..
I’m really hurt because I’ve been an addict and recently get my life together and I totally understand this Bro
When I started running I used Nike Running Club App and in particular the Guided Runs! Those are amazing. I’m not using NRC as often as before, but whenever I feel blue or down I play one of those Guided Runs (caveat most of them are short runs)
Holy fuck
Mario was teaching us i life lesson
This whole time
I came round to the idea of making my runs fun & more enjoyable about a year ago after a hard years running long races, i’d lost my mojo & found taking a new approach to my running really helped. Be sure to stop now & again & take in the views
True crime podcast while I’m out on a run is always exciting. Nothing to help motivate you than hearing about people being kidnapped and murdered while running.
My friends and I have been playing Dungeons and Dragons during our runs. We do mini-workouts at different points in the run to simulate going on quests and fighting monsters. It makes me excited for the next adventure rather than tired for the next run.
my local running club decided to set some challenges to help keep members moving they were set for all abilities, so far they’ve been fun
THE CHALLENGES ARE:
1. Do a 5k run
2. Do a 8k run or walk entirely off road
3. Do a run which consists of 5 laps of somewhere or something.
4. Do a run wearing anything with the club logo on it
5. Do a 12k run or walk
6. Do a run in the pouring rain photo required, especially at the end!
7. Do a 5k run where each km is quicker than the last
8. Do a run where the road names spell your initials (at least 3) or your first name, or all your name if you are keen!
9. Do a run which has over 200m elevation gain in it
10. Do a run which includes running past or around a lake
all challenges must be done on individually on separate days and consist of a minimum of 3km
And if you want to listen to more Anna while you’re running, I can definitely recommend Jenni Falconer’s Run podcast. The episode with Dick and Dom is pretty good too.
I’ve felt this so hard lately! No races or goals to shoot for and general exhaustion got me feeling sluggish and unmotivated, and this is not the first time The Running Channel has read my mind and released an eerily relevant video
Thank you so much for this! I will need it in just about 5 weeks. Oral surgery has officially forced me to relax. I am trying to hit my goal of achieving Level 5 in the Garmin Badge system. 17 more points….argh.
Good people of The Running Channel. Thank you so much for the great content you keep posting. It made me like running more and more and make my adventure on a Half-Marathon (even if i will have to make it by my self). However I’m struggling with the HR stuff. On the easy runs should i aim to to the Zone 3? or Zone 2? Because on zone 3 i’m nearly out of the pace i should keep (i’m aiming for a 2:04 HM so easy runs between 6:47min/km to 07:18). Should i run slower? Thanks
I really had to push myself during lockdown to run solo. Audible was a godsend! And now, running with my pals….nothing is better than a run and a rant with friends.
you talk too much I don’t like when you talk during practice
So i very sad for all. But motivation there video, make me spirit…❤️
The ocean he is so big.
Standing right in front of him, I feel the curiosity to know if he feels sad sometimes.
When I stand here and stare at him, and release all my bad thoughts to the bottom of the ocean, does he feel overwhelmed?
Does he really listen to the thoughts that I send him? Or he just carry them carefully and bury them under his chest?
How does he find the power to stay so calm when I am screaming right in front of his face?!
So many questions I have for this endless beautiful canvas that lays over the body of the Earth and give colors to her.
How many others have shared their thoughts with him? Does he have a favorite human being? Someone that is more worried of his happiness than of their own…
I wouldn’t imagine.
I don’t know how oceans are but I do know people very well.
And people do not care for someone else more than for themselves.
This ocean is so big.
So small I feel in front of him, and still, here I am with a bunch of “concerns “!
I keep coming here for help, ignoring the ocean inside of me that could drown everything that shouldn’t live in my mind any more…
I really needed it….thank u soo much or esle wht would hav happened
Challenge yourself. Do the things that many people say are hard. Put in more effort and you will be surprised to see how far you can go. You can do this
I have been doing some virtual races:-) did a 5k virtual race yesterday and my 5k time is getting faster. Im a ten K runner, so been learning how to pace a pace 5k.. kept it interesting. Will be fun to receive medals in the post:-)
I have to tell someone so why not my favorite group of fellow runners. I am now the proud owner of a pair of Hoka Bondi 6!!! Gonna break them in tonight and can’t wait. I really didn’t NEED them but my nikes were getting old. This has sparked a new desire in me again! Everyone have a great day!!!
Oh my gees Juan Bendana was at my school and he’s so inspirational
Don’t limit your challenges, challenge your limits.☝️☝️️
I take the university exam last month i pass the exam but not enough marks go to university now I’m broke.. should I take this exam again
It’s OK with Wat u said but dreams can’t be changed they are instincts
THESE VIDEOS HELP ME MENTALLY, PHYSICALLY, EMOTIONALLY, ETC. THANK YOU FOR THESE VIDEOS. I NEEDED THIS BRO❗️
I do it for my head, if I don’t run my head is all over the place/
Do something new!

I remember as a grade 10 student doing heavy track workouts being able to run any 200m pace between 27 to 36 seconds over and over just by thinking about the pace. It wasn’t until decades later as an old man and eventually converting that pace into a treadmill speed that it blew my mind how fast that actually was and yet at the time it didn’t seem fast at all because it wasn’t sprinter speed it was just interval speed. At the end of that summer, someone roped me into doing a 10k Charity Run for the first time, only one I ever did, and not knowing anything about the times involved, I just picked a 200m interval pace that I knew I could likely do and ran at that pace. I started no where near the front as I wasn’t thinking of my time or competing with anyone, but I ran a 33 min time and little did I know I finished with the women who won the female race. I sort of equate this experience with what Kipchoge did i.e. he came at the Marathon from a lifetime of competing at the 10k and not really having the mental hurdle of a pace that was not doable i.e. he spent a lifetime training at a faster track pace than what the elite marathon pace was. What Kipchoge did was a monumental human achievement.
i need these videos every day before i start my day so i can rock.
thanks for the pep talk for life
I believe I’m going to be better, better than people around me
I’m Vietnamese so certainly you know education in here is still poor and backward.
We have to study 13 subjects and go to school at 6:45am from 4:30pm in the afternoon. Some of us also go to extra-class in the evening and it finishes at 9:00 or 9:30pm. We get it 3, 4 days in a week because high school knowledge which is taught in class is not enough for us to pass exams. Idk why? We study at school a lot so hard, but when we have a test including other knowledge not to be taught at school, so we have to study more outside besides school.
I search videos by M2S because I’m so confused now. I have many problems about studies. When I focus on Maths, English, I cannot focus on another subjects and reverse. It cannot balance, 12 subjects (except PE) are so hard, each of them is so difficult to acquire in the same time. I don’t mention about homework. Western students can’t imagine:)))) I don’t enjoy the traditional ways teachers teach me. It’s so boring and not logical. But I always have to do it everyday at school. We are robots, not students anymore. However, I don’t know how to do next
I just want to comment in here to ask you a question “How can I realize what I want to do in the future, what passion I am looking for and what I will do to reduce my confusion at the present?”
I really expect your answer soon and thank you for reading my comment ❤️❤️❤️
holy shit i didn’t notice the car in the beginning i literally jumped
I made a operation and can’t walk or sit not. I can’t go to school rn.
my teacher said that he talked to ALL teachers and that they ALL think I should repeat this year cause I have a long break cause of the operation and I also have bad grades..
he said that I can’t do it. He said it’s better if I start new. He said I can’t graduate school with good grades.
it happens so much in those years that I’m in this school and to be honest.. I belive in myself.
I belive that I can do it.
Of course it will not be easy. It will be damn hard. But who said that this is gonna be easy?
It just sucks to hear from everyone that you are a failure.
If you hear this often, you start to belive it..
and that just makes me sad.
But it also makes me to try it and to proof them, that they are wrong!
IM GONNA MAKE THIS!
(sorry not the best English)

The summary of this video
*Our biggest mistake is we compare ourselves with others successes nd we think that we r not enough! But untill u face the difficult situations which makes u feel uncomfortable, u won’t be able to grow up! U have to realize that u have the ability to make an impact nd change the negative story of ur mind cuz when u do such amazing things happen!!! Don’t blame others for ur bad situations cuz u have the ability to change it.. Tell urself positive stories rather than negative ones cuz when u believe those u get the power to change urself.. Encourage urself nd change the life cuz u can do anything if u have faith in urself!!! *
(Stop scrolling comments guys cuz u r not here for that )

The timing on the last 1000m is so obviously fake look at 10:55 and how the timer doesn’t change but he moves
You guys are awesome. Thanks. Being here in Peru we have only just been allowed to run again in the last 3 weeks and we can only run (with a mask) within 3km of our house and so these tips are really helpful.
Wowww what a timing… just when I was about to give up and have a mental breakdown.
Great ideas. Thank you. My mom and I run at the same time but not together. I live in Ohio she lives in San Francisco. We text each other on the way out and call when we are done.
I can do the Running the Kipchoge Challenge but the American youtube bros shouting at me challenge is impossible…
Don’t sit in the sidelines! Jump in right away!! I keep trying to teach this on my YouTube channel too
