I’m just so tired and angry all the time, I eat around 800-1000 calories for 6 days, then I just eat whatever I want (binge) on Sundays, this is the diet that my personal trainer gave me so it’s all clean eating, I’m not allowed potatoes, rice, pasta or cereals, so I’m basically eating meat and salad

Im eating only 5 apples a day nothing else which is about 400 and something calories
I’m 5’1 and I used to weigh 167 pounds a few months ago, now I’m 155. I actually ate more calories than I thought, yet still lost weight somehow. Now I’m counting my calories and I try to go for 1200-1300 each day. I’ve also gotten used to eating greek yogurt and eating a little bit healthier but I still like to eat some junk food while still maintaining my caloric deficit goal. If I go over 1500, I work out by dancing for about 30 minutes. I want to know if this is healthy and sustainable so that I don’t regret it.

edit: Thanks for all the help. i was so afraid of going over 500 calories. Now with some help I was able to get my calories to almost 700 today. It might not be big but I was so proud of myself and I just have to keep pushing myself. I wrote that comment while crying because felt helpless. I knew eating such few calories is not healthy. But it’s so scary seeing the calories increase while your tracking. I felt weak, grumpy, and in a weird way this made me feel better knowing i was consuming this little amount of calories. I knew this had to stop when I wouldn’t even eat fruits because it was going to make my total over 500 calories.I was starving so I went downstairs to grab a snack. I got some carrots out of the fridge and when i put in my calorie counting app it went over 500 calories. I put the carrots back and just went back upstairs. I forgot the feeling of being full and my stomach hurt so badly. I knew this had to stop so i pushed myself and set a goal each day. It started small but soon it started to get less scary to see the numbers increase. I know i’m not there yet but comparing from where i started this is an huge improvement for me. I feel so much better. Even though it’s scary, it helps when your increasing your calories with food that’s healthy so you don’t feel guilty. I’m still scared to increase my calories over 700 and I feel like I won’t be able to do it. Reaching 1000 calories is so scary and I don’t know how i’m going to get there. But I will try my best even if it takes some time. I know i’m not in any position to give advice but let me tell you that your doing more harm than good. I know it feels like your doing your body a favour but really we’re just hurting our bodies. If your going through the same thing just know we’re in this together. Let’s start together. It doesn’t have to be a big change.Even if it’s a few calories more each day that’s great. I started at 500 and now i’m at 700. It’s going to be a journey but I’m going to make sure i get there and so are you.

After quarantine started I wanted to loose weight badly. I was 12yo, 5 6” and 150 lbs. in March I did those workouts plans from Chloe ting for 2 weeks but I ended up gaining weight which made me really sad but mainly angry. I ended up binging from end of march to beginning of may. I was disgusted with myself and went on a calorie deficit lower than my previous one. I was eating about 500-800 cals a day. I was logging on what I ate constantly and weighed myself after using the washroom. I was addicted with the number on the scale. About two weeks after my deficit I had lost 10 pounds, I was finally 140lbs. I was so happy and proud of myself, so proud that I thought I should reward myself. I had A pastry that was about 470 cals. After eating that I felt so guilty and pushed my calorie deficit to 400 cals a day. I’m afraid that what happened to her will happen to me but I just can’t stop. I can’t bring myself to do it. I’m still 12 and afraid to tell my parents, they were the ones who constantly told me to loose weight and if I tell them I’m afraid they’ll get mad and say that it doesn’t matter. I’ve cried almost everyday now and experience constant headaches, just standing up makes my vision go out for a minute or two. I need help.

Guys I used to eat less than 1000 calories and I didn’t even lose 1 pound. I also lost my period for 6 months. I was dizzy, unhappy, moody and I was working out but I wasn’t enjoying it. Then I got tired and started eating 1200_1500 calories and I lost 4 kg in 7 weeks. I workout and enjoy it. 4 kg might seem not much in 7 weeks but my metabolism was slower due to eating less than 1000 calories. Please don’t starve yourself because that’s just wasting your time and life and ruining your health

For the past month and a half I’ve been trying to get myself in shape. I’d cry thinking I wish I was skinnier. I’m a normal weight (105 and 5’1) but I just hated my body type and how all of the fat went into my stomach and how I had broad shoulders and wanting to lose fat in them to help (even tho its mostly just the structure of my bones in my shoulders)
I started eating all healthy and I tried to limit to 700-800 calories a day and I’d feel starving and it wasn’t helping
After a couple weeks I started to get worried about myself because I have friends w eating disorders and I didn’t want to become like that and my uncle had a binge eating disorder and sometimes I would BINGE eat when I was sad or whenever even when I was rly full and then I’d feel extremely guilty and fast and fast and fast and I started counting calories but recently I looked up the healthy amount of calories for my weight and instead of fasting I’m trying lots of super healthy protein packed foods but having a lot like at least 1,500 a day and working out I’m trying chloe ting workouts lol and I’m just trying to make myself comfortable in my own body yet healthy and maintain a healthy mindset and I struggle with OCD too which makes my obsessive thoughts of weight worse but I think I’ve gotten better at maintaining a healthy mindset already and to anyone out there who’s struggling with the same thoughts I am or anything at all please try and help yourself or talk to someone and I love you
Edit: i also not only worry ab my weight now but when I was on adhd meds from like 5th to 7th grade it made me not feel hungry at all like i literally didnt give two shits ab my body i just wasnt hungry and i was around 4’11 and 75-80 pounds and I was SO SKINNY and eventually the doctor kept lowering my dosage and then completely took me off all medications (this was because my OCD meds caused me to have abnormally fast heart rate which is a different story but now im completely unmedicated) and then i was actually insecure about looking so scrawny and started BINGING so much i was having these ensure drinks like 3 a day and mac and cheese and shit and i gained so fast and now it’s left me with stretch marks because i’m in 8th grade now so i gained like idk i went from 95 lb in june of this past summer to in like september i was like 101 and yeah now im 105
but im trying to keep a healthy mindset yea
Honestly I just consume 600 calories a day and it’s enough?? It depends what those 600 calories are as well. I eat chocolates and cakes and whatever I want but still in that 600 calorie deficit. I’m not starving, I feel good and I lose weight.

if your burning 500 more calories than what u intake in a day for a week you will loose 1 pound each week. 3,500 cals is one pound of fat, so people spread it out in a week. this is a good way of being healthy. it’s not too quick to change. and example is if i burn of 2000 cals (including bmr which is how much u burn in a day no matter what) then i would have 1500 calories as my intake.

Ily thank u for this info, I do intermittent fasting and just dont eat breakfast but after couple days of doing this I actually enjoy it. Before owever I hated myself and that led to eating 600 kcals a day and on weekends I binged very hard. Then next day I was in constant pain so now I just do intermittent fasting, do not deprive myself from eating, try to eat minfully and I am happy!

Hi Hannah, After trying keto I developed an aversion to meat. I was looking for recipes to lose weight based on the foods I actually like and came across you. The recipes are easy to follow and so filling and delicious. I can honestly say that I am not hungry. I am trying to lose weight as I gained 4 stone waiting on my double knee replacement ( a stone a year), and have been through my menopause too I am cutting out one meal a day from your suggested plans because I am hardly expending any energy due to my inability to exercise. Well, I am losing weight I feel fantastic, I am never hungry and I am sleeping well. I plan to buy all your books. Thank you so much for your inspirational videos. This workout had me sweating!! But i looked at my watch at the end and only saw i burned 180 calories. I went hardcore for the majority… I’m wondering if it has to do with the fact that i work out a lot and it takes a lot to burn a lot. Does anyone have the same issue? I’m here because I’m in quarantine and I’m used to going to fitness classes. I LOVED y’all’s energy!! It seriously motivated me-I almost lost it when y’all started making animal noises. Sometimes exercise needs to be silly! I also loved the reverse burpees. My balance is horrible, so I fell over multiple times, but I was having so much fun I didn’t notice that my muscles were shaking until we moved on to the next exercise. I’d say I’m a pretty dang athletic and capable person, and this left me sweating and grinning. What’s great about it is I can clearly see how people of all different fitness levels can get a lot out of it. Thanks, y’all, from 2020 ✌

This is my favorite POPSUGAR workout so far (done about 6). I love all the instructors, but this video is special because I know exactly what I need to accomplish and I can pause the video if I need more time to do my 10 reps. No more skipped exercises because I needed a breather while the coach was still going = no excuses!!!
The only prb I find no break…should give atleast 1 min rest after every circuit. Becomes difficult for beginners like us.

Good workout, won’t destroy you, but will work you hard. I’m dripping sweat, but my tracker only showed 240 calories burned. Not sure how they’re estimating 400… maybe a bit more cardio to get your heart rate elevated at the start or beforehand might get you to 400, but it took until 20 mins in for my heart rate to go up and stay up. PS I work out 5-6 times a week, so maybe that’s why I didn’t find it as challenging.
With the content you put out, you need a much bigger following. Keep it up mate

I just watched this, looks tough, I would be willing to try in AM…Just trying to find new things to do. Consider myself in good shape even through corona, I’m 55, will have to modify the reverse burpees. Just looking for other workouts to try at home.
This was AWESOME! My abs were burning the next day because of those great shoulder taps. I didn’t mind the push-ups but that reverse burpee uff I just couldn’t do without putting my hands on the floor (the modified version). Someday I hope to do it handless, that would be great progress. I will look for more Anna Renderer workouts, really liked the variety.

Confession. I am not vegan. I eat less and less meat now that I know so many versatile veggie recipes. I used to really struggle to get in 3 servings of veggies a day. Thank you Hannah for sharing so many of your delicious recipes! The shredded zucchini in oatmeal idea was a game changer! Mind blown. Of course it’s delicious! Zucchini bread is delicious. So of course oatmeal with zucchini is delicious lol. I have to have more protein and iron on my diet than most people because of some health reasons. If anyone follows these recipes and isn’t vegan like me, it would still be vegetarian friendly, Whip an egg into your oatmeal AFTER it’s done cooking. It makes it higher in protein and extra fluffy.

Like S. B., I gained a lot of weight. But after accepting that it was my body who was setting the rules now, my body got less bloated, my face less puffy, and I even dropped some weight. I am now happy as can possibly be with my body and wouldn’t switch it for anyone else’s… Even though I weigh maybe even some bit more than when I started dieting.

Please don’t starve ur self. I did it last year told no one. At school I skipped lunch and at home I ate a tiny bit of my dinner and did it for a couple of days, I felt weak sick and light, I couldn’t think properly and felt sleepy everytime I went to school. If u wanna lose weight. Do it healthy. I’m starting to eat salads chicken pastas and doing workouts and drinking water. I’m only 13 just turned 13 2 months ago, people think I was over exaggerating but I wasnt eatting healthy nor exercising enough.
If you take out the oil and just bake the chicken or sit fry it you will have calories left over for some sweet potatoes or even baby potatoes
Let me be honest here, it’s easier to lose weight by doing workout than starve yourself. Yeah,i know diet is very important but by starving is just not a good idea..

U don’t heat up coconut cream. It will turn into saturated fats. Never heat up coconut milk/cream. It will destroy the nutrients in the coconut milk

1 chicken breast has around 285 cal. chicken lemon recipe calls for 2 chicken breasts. this is alone comes in at around 600 cal!!!!!!

For anybody interested, according to my apple watch i burned 300 kcal (I’m 5 ft 7 and weigh approx. 125 pounds, I’m pretty active, and did most of the regular, not modified, moves) ♥️♥️
Honestly, there’s so many more ways to eat healthy dinners with a low amount of calories. It does’nt always have to be chicken or shrimps with green aspargus. You could make roasted veggies from the oven with some baked potatoes. A simple risotto with veg. A salad. Even pasta could have less or little more than 500 calories if you don’t overload it with cheese and milk.
Also, it’s not necessary to count calories. You should always focus on eating healthy, balanced meals instead of calories. If you only eat a tiny amount of shrimps with aspargus and maybe rice, you won’t be full for long. A balanced meal may have a little more than 500 calories, but it will keep you full until the next meal, stopping you from snacking on unhealthy, unnecessary calories.
ANYTHING is only 500 calories if you only eat 500 calories worth of what you cook, even if that means 1/2 cup of your meal. I don’t like this tutorial.
I love these receipes but it always makes nervous at the amount of oil they use in them, especially when it says “under 500 calories” but then you see the veggies or meet absolutely litered in cream and oil.

Would be nice to see some stuff geared toward people with different body types. I have no issue building muscle, but losing fat is an issue. I’m 5’10 270 with i guess a powerlifter type build, but I’m at roughly 2000 calories a day and I feel like the pounds should be coming off quicker for at that amount of calories. I’m not really sure where to go from here.
You should read or listen to the audio book called the power of vulnerability by brene brown. She is amazing and so easy to listen to. She talks about the importance of making sure we rest and play among other things. Plus how you force yourself to slowdown and be more mindful. If you have a crazy calorie deficit or crazy cardio with deficit, you’ll lose a lot of strength and muscle. I lost 17kg in two months. Rebuilding strength now. There is one downside to these options. They are way way too time consuming. You’ll cook for hours every day. They are good tho. To everyone reading this, try to stay at the weight you have right now while increasing your strength. Stay there until your strength doesn’t progress anymore. Then cut.

What advice would give to someone trying to break away from an extremely low carb diet (max 50g per day) into a more normal daily macro split like you explain? Are you saying you had an eating disorder? I also want to say that some people with an eating disorder know that they are eating too little and know it’s not helping them but can’t stop them selves. It becomes a fear that takes over you

Hey I’m kinda new to this so if I just hit protein (whilst in a deficit) will I lose weight? For example if I hit 50g of fat one day and 90g the other day but still hitting the same calorie intake? Is this okay?

This video made me realise that my “diet” was actually growing into an unhealthy obsession with wanting to lose weight. I was completely cutting out all sugars and carbs, feeling guilty whenever I snacked, waking up late to skip breakfast and have a small lunch that didn’t make up for it. Any sweet foods given to me by my family would get flushed down the toilet so they wouldn’t suspect anything. I even one time pushed myself to cycle for an hour (mostly uphill as well, without any water) when I wasn’t used to that amount of exercise.
I’m changing my ways as of tomorrow and I’m going to start taking care of myself, making sure I have at least 1000 calories per day. I’m also going to turn this into a healthy lifestyle instead of doing diet after diet which often don’t last or work.

Eating just mashed potatoes is not necessarily a vegan thing.
At least i used to do it all the time growing up and now i eat mostly plant based and I still do it:D

Just to clarify, im not saying you need to eat 300 calorie meals. This Eat More Weigh Less series is about showing you how to bulk up your meals so that you can eat a BIG portion of healthy food and feel full and satisfied. I suggest using these as a base for your meals, or a side dish, so that it fills you up and adding to them as you see fit like i explained in the video:)

I find this helpful as I’m trying to eat 5 or 6 small meals throughout the day, it’s hard to find meal recipes that are only a few hundred calories!

Not really a fan of the constant talking and chatter. I would prefer it if only the instructor was mic’ed. It would be more motivating to have counts, louder music, and less grunting and laughing and talking over each other.
