Ok, I know this is an older video but summer is coming so I watched it now. I just have to say:

I know I’m late to this video but I appreciate the tips!!!! I use baby powder, after I shower I put some on my inner thighs and my arm pits and under my breasts. It really helps with the sweating, but I do still use deodorant on my armpits on top of the baby powder for extra protection!!

Baby powder in a travel size or cornstarch (I out in an unclycled little spice shake container). I keep it in my purse. Put it on and go, Reapply as needed!

I’ve used deodorant for years. Told my f-i-l that he should use some under his man boobs, to stop chafing I was hoping for a relief such as sewing weights to the edges of your shorts, like they did in the olden days with their dresses. IDK how that would be for the chub rub. Even in my younger years, I rubbed in the middle there. Irritating. Found out about baby powder, that’ll work even better.

I absolutely love body glide! I hike and camp in the summer and although I try to hike in long pants when possible, when it’s hot and I wear shorts, I always carry body glide. I keep a stick in so many places!

Other tips:
1. Change your shorts/underwear more frequently. If you tend to get hot/sweaty during the summer, you may benefit from doing a midday change of any shorts (including bike shorts) as moisture can make things worse. If you’re wearing a skirt/dress, slipping into a new pair of bike shorts and underwear while in the bathroom at Starbucks is pretty easy.
2. Use baby powder to help absorb excess moisture. (Corn starch can work too).
3. Take a quick shower at night. You don’t need to shampoo or anything like that, but simply rinsing off your thighs and allowing them to air dry can help. If you aren’t dealing with any discomfort related to chub-rub (and you’re comfortable enough doing so), sleep in the nude (or at least without anything on the lower half) so everything can air out properly.
4. If you DO have a slight rash because of chub rub, use diaper rash cream (the purple Desitin is my favorite). Shower and clean the area gently and apply a generous amount to the DRIED affected area before bed. Wear loose-fitting pajama bottoms that will allow air flow, but will prevent the skin from rubbing together and chafing even more. Don’t worry if there’s some residue left over after showering in the morning. I find that I often only need to use it at night, but if it’s really bad, I’ll apply a thin protective layer of Desitin or A&D to my inner thighs in the morning to act as a moisture barrier. Just make sure to wear clothing that will help prevent the skin on skin friction while you heal. [Just be careful around your private areas.]
Basically, treat chub rub the same way you’d treat a diaper rash: keep the area dry and apply ointments as-needed. I find, however, that even showering at night and letting everything air out overnight makes the biggest difference.

Does anyone have a cure for the inner thigh shorts ride-up? I would love to wear shorts but my inner thighs cause the ride-up.
My secret is Men’s boxer briefs. Shorter than biker shorts but cover the area on your thighs & Target has some thinner “sporty” kinds that don’t add weight to your outfit & some are sweat wicking and some are almost silky feeling so your skirt will flow over the boxer briefs without an outline showing, it looks seemless!
Will definitely try the bandlettes for short shorts though!

Baby powder works pretty well too. But body glide saves me Everytime I go to Six Flags or The county/State Fair. Where I live, humidity and heat is crazy. I’m talking 100° with 95% humidity on a regular summer day.
Coconut oil works for it too…plus kills bacteria and wont get sticky

I wore the body glide to Disneyworld and it didn’t work well at all, When I got back to my hotel my thighs had rubbed more than if I hadn’t used it. Its almost like it made my thighs kind of stick together. It was so bad they were purple and puffy and bruised. It might just’ve been a bad product for myself but just be warned!!

Another good option is baby powder, its cheap and dries up any moisture immediately. You can even put some in a mini container and carry it around with you in your bag.:)
In the Netherlands we have this product called Smoovall. I don’t know if you can get hold of it in America, but it’s a spray that literally will stop shaving for the whole day!! I absolutely love it and I have been wearing skirts, dresses and short shorts this whole summer because of it!

I prefer to use coconut oil it is my lifesaver in this situation. Plus it is also all natural and good for your skin anyway. Your skin will soak it up and be smooth troughout the day. Flowy pants tend to roll between my legs, so even if I do not hurt from rubbing, I feel unconfortable because of material bunching up.

Something that I use to prevent chub rub is dry body oil. It won’t stain my clothes but still protect my thighs. And there are some that smell good.
Use spray deodorant. It dries and still works just like the other deoderant
I introduced my aunts to the deodorant hack the other day before we went to Silver Dollar City. I knew we were gonna be walking a lot, and my Nike shorts ride all the way up and chub rub was destined to happen. I came home with no chub rub!
I use the blue body glide…it’s more and cheeper. I personally never hab problems with sticking.
You need mega babe chafing cream!!! Forget the extra fabric and be free
Baby oil is the answer ( or any oil that doesn’t absorb way too quickly). If you put it in a small pump bottle, you can easily reapply it anywhere, it keeps the thighs moisturized and smooth, no sticky rubbing at all

Monistat chafing cream is a great option, it dries to a powder finish so you don’t feel sticky at all

If you do chaff make a mixture of 1:1 jojoba oil and lavender for some relief! I normally sleep with it on after showering and it brings down that irritation! Used it all week in the Caribbean!
