Not to be graphic, but the bottom of my nutsac is rubbed raw after a run. It’s a @$#&% to get rid of. Try talc powder and tight white underwear?

I never had a problem with chaffing no matter what type of shirt I wore. 2 days ago I decided to shave the hair off my nipples, I have a decently hairy chest and next day ran like 8 miles, my nips were burning like fire. Never shaving my nipple area again…..

I’ve tried compression shorts (nike pro combat) but, the seams caused me to chaff. Vaseline, deodorant or runners glide with running shorts are the only thing that has worked so far. Maybe I’m using the wrong brand. I could also shed some weight on my legs.

I ran last night, and my nipples were fine, but this morning, they began to hurt. When I took a shower, it burned.
Now it all makes sense. My boobs bounces as I’m jogging, so the nipples are rubbing with my v-neck undershirt. lol ahahaha

Never had a problem until a few days ago and I went for a 15 KM run in the rain (actually, sometimes it gets a bit sore but I’ve never had bleeding (or had it hurt in the shower afterwards)). Around KM 13 things were a little sore and I looked down to see a long bloody patch from my left nipple. I thought I’d cut myself or something but then realized what it was. And this whilst wearing a white t-shirt on a busy road. lol. Anyway, have since bought some Dr. Scholl’s Moleskin and it seems to work well so far. I even tried wearing it in the shower (haven’t tried them in the rain yet) afterwards to see if they stuck around or not and they did.
I am only 12 but I swear I have seen that face somewhere… I just can’t make out where. I am not from Manchester either! Hmm… (I am indeed from Wales)
Two solutions: baby powder and running tights! Or Vaseline if you don’t mind that on your thighs and butt but it just feels weird for me.
I have the solution…..medical bandaging tape. just done a 13 mile run and both nipples were still covered when I got back. No more soreness. The stuff is easily available from any pharmacy or drug store.
Some of us chafe right between the crack of their ass and on the bottom of their balls:))

Great video! I’m training for my first 10k run. As a man, I’ve never had my nipples hurt as much as when I jumped in the shower yesterday, NO JOKE! Thanks for the info! Oh, as a side note, why do I think that painful nipples are a rite of passage as a runner?
Is this only a problem males have? I have heard of people having this problem but never experienced this myself, I am a female runner who runs in a regular bra rather then wearing a sports bra had I have never had this problem.
The best way to avoid it is not to wear a shirt. I run in Florida and most male distance runners only wear shorts, socks and shoes. I realize this may not be possible due to gym rules.

Just use a penis skin moisturizer every day and you will be protected. The one I use is called Man1 Man Oil. I haven’t had any issues since I bought it. Check it out.
Quick fix; use hockey tape. Hurts like a bitch when you take it off, but it hurts less then nipple fissures. Also, for normal workouts use Vaseline and circle bandaids. Thick Hockey tape also works extremely well for pointe shoes:3

I use either circle or smaller regular shaped bandaids to protect my nipples when I have to wear a shirt on my longer training runs. Rainy days are the worst for chafing problems:X However on warmer days I simply run shirtless. I’ve never had nipple chafing issues during races.
Is that really true? That happened to me when I was jumping for an hour a couple of days ago. And yesterday, I didn’t bleed.

I dont want to buy expensive mole skin just to cover up for regular workouts. I jump rope, do martial arts etc and jog. Is there a cheaper and simple way to do this? Does vaseline help? I tried athletic tape but my sweat makes it fall right off.
Good one!!..another “faster way” to avoid nipple chafing is using a common tanktop inside the sport tshirt, also if anyone suffers inner thigh chafing it should use slim boxer inside.

i used to run marathons back in the day when running was just getting popular and we weren’t getting any type of good running shoes. when i ran 12 mi every other day i had not problem with the nipples but for long runs the chafing got to them. Depends on the material in the shirt too. I just used a bandaid over ea nipple to avoid any contact with the shirt.
Fancy solution to a simple problem. Bandaids, vaseline (not great for long distance but works when stuck), liquid band-aid, and first aid tape (my preference cheap, fast, and easy) all work.

Is that why the highschool track teams uniforms are compression spandex?
Compression shorts can make the problem worse too because spandex isn’t absorbent.
It may sound strange but your best option just might be whitey tighties. It eliminates scrotum/leg contact (which is where moisture usually hides) and it is actually an absorbent material.
There are 2 factors to chub rub. Moisture and friction. You have to determine whether you are correcting for a friction chafe… or a moisture chafe.
If you’re running a marathon, sure… get semi-long compressor shorts and make sure they fit great and don’t ride in any direction.
If you’re suffering from humidity in your groin (from a bit of sweat and wearing thick work pants for extended periods of time being unable to adjust) maybe just some whitey tighties and some talcom powder will be the best option for you.

the real bitch is, forgive my french, ball chafing… which funny enough though I started to notice after I started to use my compression shorts, especially when I start to use them without underwear and I think you are supposed to use them that way… suggestion?

Vaseline is no good because it will block sweat ducts and all sorts of things will start growing on your body
you’ll never alienate viewers that use fowl language if you don’t use foul language….but if you do use fowl language then you will always be running the risk of alienating views like me who have children watching with them. I went swimming and I wore a shirt so this happened to me. How do you stop the pain other than with a cream.
This might a disgusting topic but when I went for a run using my compression pants for the first time, I immediately noticed 5 minutes into the run that there was painful pinching in the crotch/groin area (felt like my pubic hairs were caught and were constantly being pulled with ever step). It was severely uncomfortable to point where I didn’t even feel like running. When I got home, I immediately took the pants off and I noticed that there were small groups of tangled up/bunched hair on either side (like 12-15 pieces of hair in each bundle). So basically every time I took a step I would be pulling like 50 pieces of hair on either side and it KILLLLLED! I noticed my pubic hair were too long in that area, so I took my trimmer and set it to #1 and shaved the inside part of my thighs. Made a huge difference.

what has helped me with chafing between my upper thighs is a product by LANACANE. it’s an anti-chafing gel which soothes and helps prevent chafing. it’s not cheap and costs about 7 pounds but its worth it:)
I still chaff between my thighs with compression shorts, but if I combine them with vaseline it’s great.
This is good info. And if your penis gets chafed like mine used to just use a creme called Man1 Man Oil. It moisturizes and strengthens the skin and keeps it free of all sorts of irritation. It is great for long runs. You can get it online.
For ladies I highly recommend getting a properly fitted sports bra. If there is one thing a newbie girl should buy it’s that.
