The video is correct that some fruit is better than others but you shouldn’t be eating that much fruit. The most common fruit that is very high in fiber is apples. You don’t need to eat that many apples nor would want to because of the high fiber content. Eating an apple a day keeps the doctor away is true. What that does is fill your gut with fiber and over time with a consistent daily dose of fiber from one or two apples (depending on size), you will feel satiated and not as hungry. The insoluble and soluble fiber acts as a protective barrier that slows the absorption of food and feeds your microbiota. Not all fruits are apples. Grapes and watermelon don’t have high fiber and more sugar. Berries would contain more fiber. Basically, you want to eat fruit with tough flesh like an apple that is not gushing out juice as you bite into it.
The problem with the video is that it assumes that gaining weight itself makes you sick. This is not true relating to the issue of carbs and sugar. There are overweight people who have no issues with liver or pancreas. Doctors need to stop assuming that more body fat means you are sick or going to have a problem.
It is simple math…if you eat too much calories it will make you fat….just do not eat 1-2kg of fruits a day….try with 300g or less. Fruit is very healthy, you should be eating it, it is better than a candy, that has no vitamins or good nutrients,but fruit does.

The reason fruit is better than processed foods is that the water and fiber fill you up, so you naturally eat less of it. I eat raw fruits and veggies, have been on this for 7 weeks and eat fruit all day not as much as that lady and I have lost 15 pounds I eat a large very large rainbow salad with avocados every evening. I am definitely not an expert. I was overboard in eating an all-fruit diet. As much as I could hold. At least two bananas a day and two avocados each day. Nothing but fruit. I lost 65 pounds that year. That is the only “type” diet I’ve ever tried. I felt great. I would agree that it was not a balanced way of eating. Yet I am puzzled when I hear negative things about eating fruit.
