The American College of Sport Medicine advises that women should have between 20% and 32% body fat and it recommends between 10% and 22% for men. Higher percentages would indicate that a person is overweight.Tracking your body fat percentage is one way to measure progress when you’re trying to lose weight or gain lean muscle mass. But it isn’t the entire story of your overall health.
Losing body fat means losing weight. Therefore, experts say that you can safely lose 1 to 2 pounds a week. However, as we have already said, it is perfectly possible to lose weight and retain high percentage of body fat. We might also mention that by following a very restrictive diet, you can lose this 1 percent of body fat in a week.
Desired body fat percentage = your goal body fat percentage (in decimal form). For example, Angela weighs 120lbs and has 25% body fat (30lbs fat, 90lbs lean). Her goal is to have 20% body fat. He wasn’t 28.4 at the beginning thats way too high. More like 20%
At just before 4:21 it says your bf% goes down to 17.5%, but in the after photo you look much closer to 10%! It’s a shame the after bf% is not accurate but I would definitely think it was under 12% circa. Anyway, this is quite inspiring as it looks to me as what a more ‘natural’ slim look is versus a big bodybuilder look. Some of the fitness coaches would have you believe to have a big enough body or ‘good enough’ body you need to go on cutting and bulking cycles for a few years, but to me this ‘after’ physique seems more attainable for most guys with average muscle mass, so to speak. I guess I will find out, as I’m embarking on a two month program in an effort to reduce my body fat to nearer to 10% and I see your muscle mass level is probably more similar to mine. If I could look anything like the after that would be amazing. Lean and looking good. This just goes to show you don’t need to go down the 3 year lifting route necessarily. Yeah, I too am guilty of jumping through diet plan to others as well, I do believe that I must have tried every fat loss system that was available, but eventually not one of them helped me to shed and maintain the weight off. I ended up trying for the very last time with the Custokebon Secrets because my cooworker who told me great things about it and so far to date I have effectively lost 18 lbs in 3 weeks!

It’s not eating less, it’s eating right. Eat fruits and veggies. They keep your calorie intake low wihle making your body think you’re eating plenty.

It would have been much better if I seen this kind of “Yamzoko Weebly” (Google it) a few years back. I dropped 12 lbs in three weeks up to now. Only problem I see with this video is a I imagine a small subset of people struggling with their weight saying “see! been saying it for years, its not my fault I’m fat, my unconscious is to blame”. Your message may be misconstrued by those people most likely through a format of confirmation bias. Also the process of losing weight as you put it, isn’t simply a process of calorie balance, although fundamentally it is, it requires a huge amount of psychological energy to get to these stages of behavioural change, shifting from the pre-contemplation phase to contemplation phase requires self honesty. Then there’s contemplation to preparation, excluding the later stages. There’s also a whole host of psychosocial, soci-economic and genetic factors involved as well Nutrition Nerd
