😀 we got some miracle mushrooms in holland but i geuss you dont mean that one. Im not familiare with oyster mushrooms, are they the kind that is selled on grocery stores or the kind i have to search for?
@DopeDivinity Oh they were! I ate them all earlier… They were also extremely high in scrumptiousness and delectability, as well as very rich in simple, long-term satisfaction!
What a shame this doctor with very good knowledge of mushrooms is such a poor communicator with the speed in which he talks. Slow down a bit and let your audience to understand the words you are outputting. You are not in a race.
I appreciate your video. You have reminded me why i am so fascinated by the connection between nature and the human body and their abilities to care for the other.

I know that people have had some success in “milking” the last of the mycelium from a growing kit and composting it in the garden. Perhaps a bit “hit or miss”, but worth a try. If you are cultivating mushrooms then I would strongly recommend Paul Stamets book “Mycelium Running”. Comprehensive and incredible!
Just had some oyster mushrooms from a whole foods kit. Good to get all of this information about it. I’ll probably try to grow some more now.
сам себя много показываешь.Думаешь ты красавец?лицо твое мне не интересно
I’ll be honest… I’m eating a mushroom heavy dinner and needed some encouragement. I like mushrooms on pizza and that’s about it
I cook mushrooms, tomatoes, and cheese in a skillett. Add a little sea salt and it makes a great soup.
What about dehydrated mushrooms? I dehydrate them at 114 degrees. Can that count as “Lightly cooking”?
Health industry: Please eat organic to avoid pesticides..
Commerical supermarket organic section: 1 pack of organic vegetables for $20…
great video. thanks for the info. I would love to grow them.
I love mushrooms and eat them everyday but never have cooked them:/
does lightly steaming them count as cooking???
I like them younger and older. I would say they are great any size
Who else was eating mushrooms and like, “I’m going to search mushrooms”?
Oyster mushrooms aren’t medicinal. But they do have health benefits.
Very good video. A lot of valuable information, thank you. There’s a grocer near us who sells King Oyster mushrooms. They look similar to yours, but with much larger, ‘fatter’, stalks. I’m wondering if they have the same healing properties?
I’ve been trying to grow Ganoderma lucidum for years, both on logs and wood chips. I cannot for the life of me get them to grow though! What am I doing wrong with these?? Bought the mycelium to be able to amend my diet with nutritious mushrooms, but they just refuse to grow…
Ooo mushrooms have Vitamin C and calcium. That is the only way I’ll take calcium, is through
a good nutrient dense source! Thanks for the video info!
Nancy
I love that you often feature my two favorite doctors. I know that if Dr Greger and Dr. Fuhrman say something it’s always one hundred percent with me☺
Awesome video. You deserve more subs. Check out followsm (dot com a lot of channels are using it to promote their videos!
My favourite dish to cook is a beef bourguignone in the slow cooker adding raw oyster mushrooms half way through cooking, also cooked in the same way add them to a delicious chicken in white wine, add some fire to it by marinading in Nandos hot peri peri sauce the night before. Alternatively make a delicous oyster mushroom stir fry using ideally Sharwoods black bean sauce, very young beef I do not condone veal but preferably beef of an animal under 1 year mmm anyone feel peckish now
SOMEBODY HELP ME IS IT POSSIBLE THAT I CAN EAT A BOWL OF BEANS ANY TIME OF THE DAY OR NIGHT? SINCE I DISCOVER HUNDREDS OF BEAN RECIPES I AM JUST TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH THIS NEW WAY OF EATING HEALTHY AND THE NUTRITARIAN COMMUNITY HERE ON SOCIAL MEDIA
A friend of mine became violently ill when she ate just a small amount of raw supermarket-bought oyster mushroom. Contaminated perhaps? Or maybe one of that small minority of people who are allergic? Would appreciate your thoughts. Good video:)
I just learned about Oyster Mushrooms, Im always searching for new foods that can keep me healthy, I fried some up with eevo coconut oil garlic n onion so good
i was eatin mushrooms, organic ones last summer.i did 16 days waterfast, never before i was toxic! The toxines from the mushrooms came in to my blood every night and let my heart bounce hard, let my mucles twitch,!
Sorry just got to the end of your video and you have answered my question thanks
Grocery stores around here don’t carry organic mushrooms.
@ushilives3 Oh yeah… in fact my next video is probably on the subject of making medicine with one particular edible/medicinal mushroom:) I plan on covering more of them in the future Reishi, Chaga, Maitake etc…
All the oysters I have found have fly larva (meggots) on them, even new ones in the wild so unfortunately I dont eat them.
Can one make Tea from dried Oyster or once is dried some nutrients disappear?
just ate them for first time. thought they where delicious!!!
Firstly thanks for useful video.. I’d asking something.. can we take lectin from mushroom extract to enhance and modulate our immune system..??
I would avoid picking mushrooms from any roadside to be honest, unless it is a remote old track that seldom has any traffic on it and it is a tree mushroom and isn’t directly on the ground. But yeah, I wouldn’t bother with almost ALL mushrooms growing by a roadside…
Everyone says the Russian chaga mushroom is the most beneficial.
Wasn’t aware that Oyster Mushrooms are loaded with nutrients.
Hi. I have a doubt? Everyone saying mushroom is good for health, good for hair and etccccc but no one is saying how to cook. For hair treatment how should I cook mushroom?
@TheKnowledgevault I would recommend getting them as fresh as possible. I’ll also add that it is really important to make sure that they are AT LEAST organic, as they are super-efficient at absorbing environmental toxicity into themselves, so non-organic varieties are most likely filled with all sorts of crap.
mushrooms are great:) eat them with peanut butter if your trying to regain muscle (gain weight) on a vegan diet and are a complete meat replacement.:) needs to be proportioned with all other regime aspects, so more mushrooms and peanut butter more fruits and green veggies:) our bodies tell us everything we need to know we just got to take the time to learn and to heal.:)
Oh damn, I’ve been eating the sliced ones from target raw…
Are you still thinking of doing another video on mushrooms? I’m taking reishi and ho shou wu and it’s a good effect.
thank you for this video! i want to know about how can i check the anti cancerous activity of the oyster mushroom in the lab. or any experimental test for their medicinal aspects.
I really love your videos. It’s good how you extract the important bits from top experts.
No hate here, just an observation but how do you record or get the audio excerpts? It sounds like you’re holding a microphone against a speaker. I understand some of the audio is taken from presentations that aren’t recorded in ideal conditions.
Thanks again.
I add a blend of 8 powerful mushroom mix in my smoothies! I like the taste of mushrooms so I even make a tea with hot water.
The 8 mushrooms I incorporate into my diet: Chaga, Cordyceps, Reishi, Lion’s Mane, Turkey Tail, Maitake, Shiitake, and Oyster Mushroom.

@RazziaLowne Good supermarkets do sell oyster mushrooms, though they may or may not be organic. Local farmers markets are a good place to get them too. They are very common, just not in the ‘average’ shops… You can consume them raw, but it is quite common that people get really ill afterwards. They are best off lightly cooked in ghee or coconut oil for a little while. This makes them perfectly safe to consume, and won’t destroy the nutrient/medicinal value of them…
aww jeeze. I’ve been eating these mushrooms for the first time while watching this video and it wasn’t until like 7 minutes into the video you talk about the 10% allergic reaction raw. now I’m worried.
i would like to know where you are. when you talk about the “month” and “environment” you do not mention WHERE. you say “all continents”, “everywhere” etc, but not where the video is being taken.
even your website does not mention where you are.
where are those videos from?
Health benefits? Go whole foods, plant based including shiitake, oyster, any shroom you want. But going vegan will demonstrate amazing health benefits if done correctly: 80% carbs (starch), 10% protein, 10% fats (no oil!). See ‘Whole’ by T. Colin Campbell for starters.
Mushrooms are super healthy but taste gross combined with certain foods. You have to know how to cook them and what foods they go with best.
It’s a good thing I decided to start eating mushrooms and I didn’t even know about this information……I just like the way they taste.
Thank you and I’m glad I decided to research the benefits of mushrooms.
TRUMP2020 Four More Years.
I’ve eaten pounds and pounds of raw, non-organic mushrooms… lol =S
Wish you would say if the canned mushrooms qualify or if they must be cooked and how. Answer to [email protected],.com Thanks
wait why tho is it cuz of the black smoke or smog stuff that comes out of the rear of the car? thanks
Hi,
mushroom is very testy and healthy.
https://healthstar24.com/nutrition/edible-mushroom-and-benefits-54487/
just kidding:) but i do need to search for it i geuss, cause i havent seen them anywhere before.how do you consume them? raw only or do you prepare it in some way?
@JBC814 It’s true that Chaga is considered to be one of the most potent medicinal mushrooms alongside Reishi. I will definitely be covering them both in future videos… However there are a great many other medicinal mushrooms that offer some outstanding benefits, and are perhaps a bit more accessible for some people. That was my intention behind making this video anyway.
I like to experiment with weird diets. I need to try a mushroom heavy diet and see what happens. I’m expecting good things.
https://mushroomone.blogspot.com/2019/03/Mushrooms-nutrition.html
I also belive that mushroom is a food that need to be investigated; could you tell me where you learned about it?
Keep up the good work!
Mushrooms can hyper-accumulate a lot of heavy metals within their fruiting bodies when there are already elevated levels of it in the surrounding ecosystem. Toxic amounts of lead are one such problem when dealing with fungi or any plants for that matter that are growing by the roadside.
Just made mushrooms with a homemade nooch sauce I’m a bun
I love mushroom and onions and garlic sautéed in a little water then nutritional yeast added to make them creamy.
@MsFuturestar1 No problem! I’m happy to know it helped. Thanks for your support!
Enjoyed your presentation. Which mushrooms are good for hypertension? Thanks.
I’ve been studying growing mushrooms at home then we discovered a great resource at Gregs Mushroom Grower (check it out on google)

Are fried mushrooms still healthy? I cook mine just a little I’ve been buying organic
Is it safe to eat oyster mushrooms with small black worms in the gills?
I’ve been eating a lot of mushroom because of the Super Mario Brothers.
A few months ago I had a box of large mushrooms and my dad told me there is 400 calories in the whole box. He thought that one had 60 calories.
I did not know the benefits of Mushrooms. last week I started reading the book: super immunity by Dr. Fuhrman, I never even thought of reading books on nutritons; it happened only when I fell into an alarming disease that chiefly happened due to my poor immune system. Fuhrman has strongly recommended the consumption of mushrooms. having read it, I started searching more on mushrooms and I arrived at your video which is full of informations. thank you so much! can I have it everyday? I, most probably, will start having in breakfasts.
I knew it, I have always recommended mushrooms to my husband and children. But they dont like it when i cook it for them. Hopefully now they will eat it if i show them this video. Thanks for the information stylecraze!
