I have been rewatching this video over and over since it has been posted bc I always forget your recipe and it’s just really fun to watch:p
I kinda want a bit more flavor.. So instead of greek, maybe some low-calorie vanilla yogurt. And for the oats, a packet of apple cinnamon instant oats (soaked in almond milk to make it less stale). Top it with strawberries and bananas. and a hint of chocolate shavings. I kinda have a sweet tooth.
Can someone give me some examples of portions (measurements) for the ingredients. I ended up putting to much in the first part (milk oats and yogurt).
Your adding way too much sugary ingredients to this. Completely ruins the health benefits. As a nurse practitioner I took an extra year of nutrition so I am qualified to say this. Make it plain overnight and then add in the stuff afterwords if you really can’t have it plain for some reason.

Hey Cristine, it’s better to buy whole flax seed and grind them yourself (in a coffee grinder). They retain more nutrients and are less likely to go rancid. Thanks for the great video!

When I saw the title I thought it was going to be for steel cut oats (sometimes called pinhead or Irish oats). They’re really tasty and I love the texture however they’re a pain, because of the long cook times.
This looks really good and I love that you used yogurt. This might not be the best on a cold winter morning where a hot bowl of oats starts the day off so well, but any other time I bet this is wonderful.
I’m also willing to bet this is better for you that so many of the boxed cereals, or worse yet toaster pastry, we eat because we are too lazy to cook first thing in the morning.

Ok so this is what I did bc i dont have all the powders:
-1 ripe banana
-1 1/2 c almond milk (I like mine on the thicker side, but slightly looser. I found that 1 c was not enough for me, but totally up to personal preference. Soy milk would be a good substitute here if almond is not suitable)
-1 t vanilla
1 T coconut oil, melted (If you dont have this or are allergic to coconuts you dont have to add this)
-1 1/2-1 3/4 c Rolled oats (I used Quaker oats. Since theres no powder, more oats are needed to soak up the milk to make it thicker. Bobs Red Mill Oats are a good substitute if looking for a gluten-free option)
-2 T cocoa powder (I sometimes do 3 T for more chocolate flavor)
-2-3 T melted peanut butter (replaces the peanut butter powder, and bc chocolate & peanut butter is BOMB. You can use almond butter or another similar substitute, or if you dont like peanut butter feel free to leave out)
-About 1/4 c chocolate chips (i try to do dairy-free, but you can totally do whatever u like)
Leave in the fridge overnight and you got yourself some oats!
U can adjust quantities as needed for personal preferences, not everybody’s pallet is the same! <3
By mistake i got 1 minute oats whole grain oats can i still use it for this recipe?

Just made them, I didn’t have protein powder so I used hot chocolate mix and chocolate nesquick, they’re chocolate banana oats now also I added way too much sugar soooo um I might die but it’s fine
