I’mma drink more water bc I rarely drink 1 bottle I day ik it’s very bad. If I drink more water I will be less hungry! Maybe green tea too. About OMAD being pretty tough to stick to it, here’s what I have to say.
It’s tough to have the mindset to decide to stick to it for at least 2 weeks. My experience was that after 2 months I become to float my way through it and began to absolutely love the process because of how it’s been making me feel.
I could go as far as saying if one could give it 7 to 10’s it becomes such a joyous thing, just the whole ritual of knowing you are about to eat 3000 calories in 40 min to 1 h 40 min of all that delicious food you’re about to eat in abundance. The food tastes at least 20% better. Your body is now ready to receive food again, because of the many hours of rest you’ve given it.
Going into an OMAD lifestyle requires understanding that’s it’s really not that hard once you get the hang of it, is what I’m saying.

Did Keto 16:8 for 3 months, lost 20 lbs, became fat adapted, was amazed I wasn’t hungry anymore. Closed eating window to 23:1 OMAD with keto macros (I never count carbs in green veggies though) during the week and allow a treat meal or two on the weekends. Losing weight, feeling great.
Should I do omad if i’m skinny (almost no fat, very little muscle)?

I think I’m kind of doing this. I’m on keto. But I eat like 1 meal a day, sometimes no meal. Only because less food fills me up now. Before I’d have to eat a large 16 inch pizza, couple cand of chef boyardee, cup ramen, 12 tacos, to get filled up. (Yes that’s basically what I was eating everyday) never going to go back to that

One thing I’d like to say is you can eat whenever you want. So mon-friday I eat 11:30 PM after work right before bed. Then my wife might wanna have a nice dinner at 7pm on sat so I eat it. Then we have dinner at my parents at 6pm on Sunday. Then the long stretch from Sunday thru Monday and back to eating at 11:30pm.

Correct me if I’m wrong (though I’m sure I’m right), but those studies that you mentioned looked at sources of saturated fat with only Long Chain Triglycerides, NOT MCTs…

What I do is drink like SO MUCH WATER.. water be tasty tho. I just eat 1-2 toast in the morning, water and more water for lunch, and some sort of protein and veggies. Been omad keto for over a year now. On the gain train! Trying to get to 200 and it’s a slow grind haha. My meal almost everyday has been ground beef, broccoli and some form off eggs (omelette, scrambled with sausage or cheese or both) always with heavy cream and butter. So good. I always look forward to it. Also I highly recommend eating OMAD in a bowl. It’s easier when it’s all mixed vs eating everything separate. That has been a huge factor for me anyway.

I have tried this and it’s not to bad. I do find it very hard to get my total caloric intake in one meal. I couldn’t even reach 1000 calorie. I will keep trying it during the weekdays but not everyday. Thanks for all your information to help us.

I tried it and it just isn’t sustainable for me with my work hours and home life. I did find that 16/8 works well on my rest days and 18/6 works well on my workout days
Psychologically I agree it might be easier to maintain a well balanced diet as far as macros go when doing OMAD but when doing Keto and OMAD, specially when doing an almost vegan keto, it can be very limiting and difficult, but if you can manage to have a plan that works with all those great vegetables, nuts, eggs, olive oil, 80% fats, than I can say, if you can eat 80% fat and at the same time be super healthy and 90% non meat, my experience has been it’s been significantly easier than 1) if I eat lots of carbs and 2) if I eat meat 3) if I refrain from eating processed foods.

I find it’s hard to eat enough calories on the OMAD diet, even as a computer nerd with minimal exercise. I find it to be very stressful on my body. That said, that’s just me. It might work perfectly for many people.

Been on Keto/OMAD since 5/22/2019 an I’m down 65lbs. I work out fasted everyday except Sunday and break my fast in the morning after working out. Depending on my schedule I move my workout to the afternoon/evening.
OMAD is for people who want to burn copious amounts of fat. I will be off OMAD and switch to 20/4 split when it’s time to bulk up. You can use OMAD to bulk but who the hell wants to eat that much at one time? When you are bulking you just need to feed those muscles and the structure of OMAD just won’t be ideal for me to see serious muscle gains. It’s possible but I just don’t like the idea of cramming all those calories in one meal.

I don’t know man. One thing I respect about you is your motivation, your energy and you seem to be someone that in person, you just can’t hate cause of your attitude. But here you are talking about not doing OMAD yet you eat out at restaurants what seems like a majority of the week which seems like dirty keto which is worse than OMAD (and OMAD isn’t even bad!). Its just weird logic to me. On top of that, you said you are a night owl. You sleep at 2am and wake up early. Maybe do some research on what short sleep does to your health! Circadian rhythm is a real thing!
I take one pound of grass fed ground beef and scramble 4 eggs and mix it all together in a bowl and add sour cream and hot sauce. One avocado on the side. I eat that almost everyday. It’s not my only meal though. Haha.

I do “clean” keto-carnivore omad since around 1,5 years as it works better for my damaged digestion. The canrivore part makes it easier to get the calories in ( for me around 4000 ). I think timing is important I always have my meal after my strength-workout.
In my opinion, keto is no reason to not get all in your body needs. A “balanced” diet has not really more vitamins or minerals than keto ( if both are performed clean ).

whenever i would try OMAD for cutting i would eat my 2100 calories in one meal and then be hungry 2 hours later. i think this may be okay for me once a week, but certainly not a daily thing. i definitely struggled more doing it with a keto diet, cuz i looooove chicken wings, but stayed full longer on keto. I prefer omad on more of a low carb or even balanced diet that intakes no more than 150g of carbs. I stick to rice and corn chips for my carbs when i do that, aka hit my favorite mexican spot to eat way too much food and take a nap afterwards haha.
I like OMAD, and think it’s great to use once or twice a week. I typically fast an 18:6, so it’s not a big deal to push it a little farther. I especially like it if I need to go out to a dinner with my professional group, and so I can eat to support my macros, not go over for the day, and not be the standout in the crowd doing something different. It’s easy to shift the meal around inside my original 6-hour window as it needs to be, so the next day I’m back on 18:6 and on track. Great videos, I appreciate the information you share!

Goody, I could definitely overdo it if I ate whatever I wanted for OMAD. I was once 400lbs bro so I could definitely throw down! I tried Keto OMAD but it just never felt right for me so I usually do 2 meals a day (keto), within a 6hr window. That’s a routine I can easily live with which is really what matters.

Yep, there are no long-term effect of coconut oil or MCT oil. You would be pissed if the long term damage is discovered years later.
A little over a year ago I was 210 pounds, thanks to my mother not caring about my weight for *YEARS*. I got fed up one day and resorted to some unhealthy things to get to my goal. I’m mostly recovered from those now plus I lost weight, so hey win-win.
I was kind of ugly due to the extra weight and not taking proper care of myself. Now, I weigh 165-160 (fluctuations) pounds. I’ve hit a plateau for some reason . But I’m hoping to get past that!
I’ve been saught after a couple of times this year and people who never even noticed me want to be my friend now. Strangers are much nicer to me as well. Being pretty really does give you a leg up, no sugar-coating it.

OMAD Is good I’ve done it before but I think it is a pain in the butt because I started getting headaches because of hunger. Its beneficial for some but for me Keto is the way to go. And I’ve lost 35 pounds so for on the keto diet 550 to 515 since February of this year.

I did OMAD with a normal diet and MAN WAS I HUNGRY all the time!!! So I decided to do OMAD with Keto and it works! I am never hungry thanks to ketosis and my body burning fat for fuel. For me, Keto is the best way to do OMAD. But I am overweight, and my body will use my fat stores while in ketosis. I think OMAD might be harder for someone who has no fat stores…unless you do Keto with it and make sure you get all your fat in with your one meal.
But what if you don’t eat a hugh meal?? What if you eat a normal meal?

This is my second week on omad and I’ll explain my certain circumstances to why it works absolutely one hundred percent perfect for me and my lifestyle. First off I’m a truck driver for a living I drive up to Minneapolis Minnesota and back to Iowa every day and then I go home everyday. The reason to work so well with me is because I don’t think any cash any money nothing with me besides my water so even if I’m absolutely starving there’s no chance for me to actually given to my Temptation and break my omad diet. Another reason to works for me is since I work night shift I end up going to bed every day around 5 to 6 p.m. so unable to eat my meal as soon as I get home from work and not have a pro long time where I’m awake at home around all the temptation of food. Since I eat about an hour before I go to bed I’m not sitting around 6 or 7 hours later staring at my fridge contemplating if I really want to be on a diet or not. So it works fucking amazing for me. I’ve already been dropping 2 pounds a week and at my current wait I’ll be at my 200-pound goal by the end of next year

Im on day 4 of omad. My body is getting used to one meal. The hunger that i felt on day 1 and 2 have subsided. The weight is just coming off and I eat what ever the hell i want to. Since im sedentary and dont do much physically i dont go too crazy with my one meal. I tend to try sticking to the one plate rule. Also tend to try including more protein in that meal since it fills me up longer. No one should be scared to do this diet. Fasting in general is great for your overall health and as soon as you adjust to omad your will not wanna turn back. Trust me on that!
Honestly goody I felt horrible doing Omad. And I have been doing keto for 5 months straight no cheat days fasted for 20 and 4 but. I felt horrible after I worked out I almost passed out and I was still drinking my water with salt and electrolytes. So I will stick just to how I was morning bullet proof coffee and at 7pm a good keto meal And I’m solid on Omad the fasting for 20 hours is tuffff I’m good with my way of doing things I’m still losing a lot of weight. But I’m good Omad freaked me out I felt really bad I’ll pass
I love omad!! It keeps things very simple and it just plain works as i usually eat a meal between 3 to 5 pm, have plenty of energy and am cutting weight fast. Imo omad combined with carnivore works amazing!!! I also cook all my meals ahead usually on Saturday so sticking with it is so very easy!!
I personally drink 16.9 cup of water or also known as a full bottle of water. Every cup I feel I’m not drinking enough to keep the pounds off. How much should I drink every cup!

Omad made me loose 20lbs in 3 months. Ate 4 course meal in 1 hour. Ate anything I wanted even ice cream. It’s impossible to get the same amount of calories your used to in one meal.

People ask me why I try hard to lose weight and assume I do it to impress others. Incorrect I do it because I want to feel comfortable in my own skin. I want to wake up look in the mirror and not feel disgusted. I dont change myself for you. I change me because I want to.

Wife and I have been doing Omad for months and it has actually made IF easier now that we are used to it. The trick is to plan what you are going to have ahead a day or for the week. We switch the protien each day. One day will be steak, cauliflower rice, Brussels another night will be fish with sauted kale and avacado, next is chicken ect. After work we break our fast I use bone broth and collagen while I cook. We use Stupid Simple Macros app to track our calories and macros. We usually have to add fats so we will add macadamia nuts, cheese or some type of fat bomb at the end of the meal to hit our calorie/macros. If you are trying to loose weight it will definitely keep you from over eating and going over your calories. If it fits your lifestyle. I am still trying to loose fat but when I get to my goal weight I might have to switch to 2 meals to start bulking some muscle because one meal 1600-1800 calories and i am done. It works well for me because when i broke my if at lunch -2 i would get this taste for food and just want more leaving less that I could eat at my last meal and then felt bad when I went over my calories because I was still hungry. Just keep it clean if all possible to get the best results in any situation. Hope this helps.

I’ve become vegetarian, only drank water, nothing, just nothing.
I started OMAD on July 29th. The mental part is not a problem. There are deys that IAm so busy I go over (5pm) myTime to eat. I have to adjust my2hour window on those deys. Ooops. I do have to work on tweaking myMeal so it’s more nutritionally balanced. I should really start an exercising regularly and rememebr to take mySupplements. I have a Total Gym that I have to properly re-introduce mySelf to… after so many years, it’s still new 2Me. Thankhz so much for this video. It helped alot, very inspiring. Definitely use OMAD (20/4) for weight loss. However, it is EXTREMELY difficult to get the appropriate amount of protein for my goals in one meal and not feel like my stomach is going to explode. I’ll do OMAD 1-2/wk on my busiest work days (and on my non-training days). On those days I don’t worry too much about my macro goals, just mindfully keep my carbs super low.

Age 44. Had a flabby stomach and onset of man boobs. Ass was getting too big for most of my pants. Weak stamina: couldn’t jog more than 2 km without having to take a walking break. Started weening onto OMAD-keto(ish) in the beginning of July. I eat my OMAD late in the afternoon (so I don’t have time to get peckish before sleep): about 800 g of mixed vegetables (broccoli, spinach, sauerkraut, carrot, tomato, avocado, cauliflower, celery, olive, bell pepper etc.) + 4 strips of bacon, a large French omelette, feta cheese and some Turkish yoghurt with sunflower seeds, chia and pecans. Sleeping from 21.00 to 05.00. At this point I do 6-10 km of running in the morning + 10 min of isometric training and pushups. Went from 94 kg to 86 kg in 5 weeks. Love handles completely gone. Stomach mostly flat and abs starting to become visible (with proper lighting). Dropped almost two pant sizes. I don’t have any hunger pangs for the entirety of my 23 hour fast. Some issues with acid reflux throughout the day if I push too hard during my morning run or go overboard on my mid-morning coffee intake. Other than that, no problems whatsoever. I don’t have to worry about food all day and I don’t have to worry about needing to use the bathroom for number two either!:)

ive started the KETO diet about a month ago. then i started the intermited fasting about a week after that then i went to OMAD. but havent worked out because of my sicatia its really hard for me to workout. This week im starting with a 48 hour water and ACV fast then will pick back up the Keto with OMAD. any suggestions. im 46 and about 280
I drink around 3 cups of green tea everyday if not more and lots of water on top of that I I work out 30+ mins everyday and don’t consume no more then 1,444 calories plus I was on low carb diet so I wasn’t taken in carbs a lot now when I was on that I was losing lots I weighed 200 in the beginning of 2020 and now I’m around 150
Omad is way easier than i thought. I lost 30 plus pounds in the first 40 days. I did my cardio in a fasted state. I didn’t always eat healthy. I ate burgers fries pizza. Basically ate what i wanted. i ate around 2500 to 3000 a day. I plan on doing this long term. Maybe change back to a 6 hour eating window to maintain once i get to my goal weight.

What do you think about the keto diet? Ive lost 35 pounds in a few months eating tons of fat. My bloodwork looks good too. A lot of nutritionalists are now saying saturated fats aren’t unhealthy.

Studies show the opposite. Saturated fats and cholesterol have no bearing on heart disease, in fact, ketones are more effective for helping the cardiovascular system function.
iv’e been doing the omed diet for about 9 days and i love it because i’m able to keep my food intake under control and surprisingly i don’t have the urge to pig out on whatever i want.

I love omad as a dry fast. It works well with Keto for weight loss and I have built strength.
I tried OMAD. But I had trouble getting enough food in then was overly tired an felt run down. Now I IF in a 6-8 hour eating window broken down into 2 800k
Meals. Much happier and still losing weight.

Quality video, with a good look from different sides of this type of eating schedule. I die omad for some time and my experience have some good and bad sides as well. I did omad for the convenience and health reasons. I thought it would help with longevity; I was wrong! I got way to skinny and lost a lot of strenght and muscle. I think this also happened because I ate a lot and my body did not process this as well as smaller meals.. I am now back on two meals a day, with a big snack in between and I love it!
Omad works best for me cause of my schedule I work 4pm to 1230am and I eat my meal when I go home and then go to bed in a couple hrs. By the time I wake up its about 11am and I chill til work and I’m so busy at work i don’t think of food til I get off
Olive you!! But I am still confused on Saturated fats. Some say the past research was wrong and they are extremely useful especially in Keto Diet whereas others like you advise not to have it. Really caught in two minds here!

Few problems..
1. I cant stand coffee or herb tea
2. I hate the taste of water.
3. I get no control over what I eat due to parents.
4. I hate the taste of herb tea again.
5. I cant drink water tons since i work at a desk and work doesnt let me have toilet breaks
I was doing OMAD for awhile and still am but when I started I was eating a huge meal and was gaining weight so at the end of the day calories still do matter, losing weight now counting my calories in that one meal
