I'm between orthopedic surgery and general surgery… Can't really decide which one should I shoose… I don't have much experience, but if anyone has a good insight on these specialties that would be a huge help. I like about surgery that you can do a lot of stuff and you can specialize later and do extra specialty after general surgery, like general surgery + gastroenterology (and operate difficult cases of liver or pancreas cancer) or g. surgery + plastic ( and operate breast cancers and do reconstrucion later on). And I like in Ortop that you can be create and has a lot of cool tool to play with, though as far as I seen the variety of surgeries are not that many …I mean yo do some prostetic insertion and other surgeries, but the variety isnt that much. And for prostetics most of the surgeries seemed – to me – the same, with minimal challange.
But you are the ones with experince, what's your opinion?
