Y’all need to relax, she’s not saying there’s anything wrong with fruits. When you make orange juice you use like 4 or so oranges to make one cup of juice, which is a whole heap of sugar. This compared to just eating one orange which gives you just enough sugar.

Whole oranges are naturally filling so that you consume significantly less. Drinking orange juice leads to over-consumption of sugar and nutrients which is actually unhealthy.
One glass of orange juice can contain the same amount of nutrients and sugar as 8 whole oranges which is an extremely large quantity of sugar and nutrients for your body to take in at one time.
…..The point of juicing for health, is to juice mainly vegetables (and maybe adding a small amount of fruit to sweeten if need be). Juicing veggies is extremely healthy and good for so many issues. I would be very very wary of anyone saying otherwise

ORANGE JUICE: No sodium, no trans fat, no saturated fat, 19% of the Potassium you need for the day, 50% of the calcium (if it’s enriched), 30% of the vitamin D, 150% percent of the vitamin C and at least a measurable amount of a half dozen other nutrients. Sugar…yes…NATURAL sugar as opposed to HFCS. Plus, only 170 calories per 12oz which the average person burns off in 1 hour just simply being awake. To make the comparison that orange juice is as bad as soda is extremely misleading.

I had a lump in my right breast, a friend recommended a no carb, no oil ( except 2 tbs of coconut oil) no seeds and a no nuts diet. My meals consisted of a certain amount of protein, loads of veggies, cocoa drink, and at least 1 litre of ORANGE JUICE everyday. I protested at first but 3 weeks into the diet, the lump had shrunk considerable. 7 weeks later it was gone..no more pains. All gone…my blood sugar didn’t spike and my blood pressure was excellent and lump gone. I still take my freshly squeezed orange juice just about half a litre.
My theory is as long as you train like crazy and stay really active then you can eat what you want… better to be active and have an imperfect diet then you visa versa

I think people who are saying she is wrong didn’t listen to the entire video. The message was “juicing makes it easier to over consume”. So your takeaway should be that if you’re looking to have a caloric deficit or lose weight, be mindful of how many calories you’re actually consuming versus what it feels like you’re consuming. Sort of how you can end up drinking a lot more alcohol if you’re doing a mixed drink versus straight. Same sort of high level concept.

Title is misleading. This is for processed pasteurized orange juice. Cold pressed orange juice is amazing for the human body. Wee frugivores by nature and carbon based.
The facts are that we don’t need sugar from our foods, period. Our bodies will create what it needs from fats and proteins. Sugar in foods, as well as the carbs, which turn into sugar inside our bodies, lead to insulin spikes which are unhealthy.
