The one-arm dumbbell row is a good addition to any dumbbell workout. This movement targets the upper and lower back, shoulders, biceps, and hips while improving core stability. Five different joint actions take place in this compound exercise. Beginners can use light weights as they build strength.
The One Arm Dumbbell Row exercise builds a strong back. It also strengthens your shoulders, upper arms, and core. You’ll be able to walk and stand longer without having to contend with an aching back.Performing the one-arm dumbbell row. Follow these steps to perform this exercise: Stand to the right of your weight bench, holding a dumbbell in your right hand with your palm facing in.

I would slide the thumb over so that you dont grip it, more hook it. That prevents you from straining your hand and arm muscles, and isolates the back.

You can touch and feel hard abs but they are not visible. They are hidden under a thick layer of fat. So what do you recommend if my goal is to make them visible.

hi Jeet. Thanks for educating us about the correct gym practices. I’ve a very peculiar question though, this is not the training but about gym instructor. This is the first time i’ve enrolled in a gym membership and thus not aware of the practices, I’ve been told by the instructor to have a personal instructor (of course at a price), however, I’m not looking for a showpiece physique and I believe that if the instructor could even confirm me as to whether i’m following the correct posture or require certain changes would suffice my needs, So, my question to you is if one enrolls a gym membership are the instructors mandated to look, educate & check the trainee of his/her work-out or we can only get these this by getting a personal trainer.

Why always ask how many reps? To gain muscle size 6-10 reps is more or less perfect right? So you don’t have to ask that for every excercise. Why would I do 10 reps here and at another excercise 15-20 is perfect? That’s nonsense. Always 6-10 in my opinion for muscle growth.
