The pancake bites looked like a murder scene. Do you think that maybe they were too runny so the batter didn’t contain the berries? Should you use the same batter consistency as if you were going to cook them on a griddle? I really liked your corn dog bites. I bet they would be really good with cheese!
I’m new to canning. How long do I keep the peaches in the water bath?
I never heard of adding sugar to fresh peaches…kinda strange to add to such a sweet fruit
Pear Chocolate Cake recipe with whole sweet juicy California Bartlett pears and glazed with a beautiful chocolate ganache, made in a pressure cooker. Printable recipe https://veganlovlie.com/pear-chocolate-cake-pressure-cooker/
Do you have a more detailed video on what to do after the peaches are in the jars? Like what do you use when you put the jars in the water and that process
I love your videos, Starry! I just discovered you on youtube. Especially love the verse at the end of this canning peaches video. One of my favorites.
Your videos are inspirational and beautiful. Thank you for this cake recipe. Did not know it was California Bartlet pear season.
I don’t like the music…you can ditch that part
Like on six sisters…no music…love it
Never heard of this I have never eaten a pair in soo long though!
My mother turned me on to your channel. She was right when she said I’d get hooked on your episodes!! Lots of love and blessings to you and Mr. Hilder:-)
Your channel is amazing looking forward to following your new videos!!! Best wishes, Mary
Great video. What about canning pears or apples without peeling them? Just a thought.
Do you have your recipe listed somewhere? Ive never canned but want to teach my daughter
Very healthy desert Gary, i can almost taste it my friend. Have a good Friday43
Can you spray the egg mold with cooking spray for better results?
If allergic to oranges is there another fruit that can be added instead?
Dear Starry, Thank you so much. I needed this to win a kitchen argument. Why in The world would anyone have to add ridiculous amounts of sugar to Sweet fruit? That’s so stupid. Salt and lemon can do the trick of preserving better than refine poison. Thank you so much
This looks amazing. Pears are not in season right now, do you think it would work with any other fruit? Or could I use canned pears? Maybe Cherries?
Great video! I love how you were able to do this without adding sugar and keeping the skins:) Thank you so much for sharing:)
I appreciate your honesty and transparency therefore I will subscribe to your channel. We have ALL messed up a recipe before.
The best spray for silicone is Bakers Joy with flour (or Pam w/flour) Even regular spray doesn’t work as well as the one with flour. And let stuff cool a bit in the mold/pan -then they will pop right out.
Yummy and not something I thought to make with my pressure cooker! But I will now! Amazing how fast that went! ( love my pressure cooker!)
It’s been a couple of years since I have canned. I have been looking for ways to cutout the sugar from our diet. So, I am starting to can again so I know what’s in our food. This had been a timely video. I just happened to stumble on your channel a few weeks ago, I love it. Blessing to you and yours for doing all these videos.
I’ve been wanting a machine like that these vids make it look so easy
That is the same music my dentists office uses to entertain me while I’m on hold.
My egg bite mold came with two lids. One is silicone to use on top of the mold; one is plastic to cover the mold and store in refrigerator.
Yum.. I canned up 100lbs total… Peach butter..jams and plain ole peaches…. great to see you back to your happy self your amazing:)
You’re doing well Starry. My husband is now a fan and sent me a link to this video! Maybe it’s a hint. Lol. God bless you abundantly my friend.
Mmmmmh that looks fantastic, pear and chocolate, what a perfect combination.
LOKING GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Blessings Paul & Susan North Georgia
that is a very good idea, apples and pears are a great combination.
Oh gawd! You make me wanna steal that cake from you and eat it and then bake it for ourselves and have it together.
I ordered egg bite molds from Amazon & was disappointed in their size. Too small! Could you tell me how much each of your pockets contains. 3 tablespoons? 4 TBS or more? I have an 8 quart pot.
wow so good, very healthy my dear friend:-) i love fruits for dessert
cut the water back on the pancakes. It was soooo runny. Looked more like crepe batter
My canner arrived today! All the way from Wisconsin to Germany! I guess I will start with…peaches! Thanks Starry. x
OMG THANK YOU!!!!!!!! I stopped eating sugar of all kinds last October 1 2016. I am the only one i know and didnt think this was possible!!!!!
Just did a bushel of peaches last week. They are so awesome. Made some peach orange jam.
these are awesome. just opened the first jar..they taste great. Thanks to you again Starry. Yes, now i ‘trust you’ lol.
That looked so good and you just have to love the instant pot huh!!!
OMG my dad just gave the best idea, I’m gonna try cooking the pears in wine and some cloves, maybe a little anise before, loved the steam cooking option
Never thought about leaving the peeling on. Learn something everyday. God Bless
The first time I used mine I didn’t spray it with oil and the eggs stuck. The second time I used oil and they popped right out.
It looks so yum.. sure to try this when I have some pears next time
What about that last part? Are they sitting in hot water and if so how long?
I really enjoyed your beautiful video!
Thank you my dear friend!

very good and interesting video Gary.. you always do a great job with great results my friend… my likes are always guaranteed for you.. I answered your questions about rights of the UMG in my last video.. I hope I have helped you.
If you break the pits open there is a seed that is full of b17, which can prevent and cure cancer.
Just trying to figure out what to do for supper since meat is thawed out!
WONDERFUL! Thank you for this i didn’t want sugar and couldn’t find a way to do it with out.
I reached in and cut my own slice ( HALF UV THE CAKE)! TFS sis soooo delicious
Apples and pears go great together. I don’t know if i would put the cranberries in mine though. Smashed the likey #53
seems simple and healthy. Can this method be applied to other fruits and berries?
starry did mrs meatbirds apron come?? please let me know if it is too small, i will make her a bigger one.. i didnt get your messge about 12 inches till it was sent. please let me know…. thx.
Why don’t you just mix the batter in the measuring cup? I wouldn’t dirty a bowl for this type of batter.
This looks delicious. I will be trying it with gluten free flour and will let you know how it works out. ☺️
Yes super easy, love it, and peaches too.so you wash, cut, cook and put them in hot water bath for 10 min.and that’s all, whoa I’m gonna have some fresh peaches for this winter. Thank you Starry
I was wondering, can you leave the skins on for peach preserves? I feel like it’s more natural that way and I was wondering why I had to add sugar to everything when I like eating it straight. People kept saying the sugar preserves it.
As others have mentioned, dredge the blueberries either in a little flour or pancake mix powder and don’t add them until the last minute. Also, the batter looks a little too thin. Maybe a little less water. Recommendation from another channel is to lay a sheet of paper towel over the mold before you wrap in foil to absorb excess condensation. Keep trying, you’ll find you perfect balance.
Wow.. leave skins on.. gonna save a heap of time.
Thank you Starry.
a very well documented recipe mate looks nice
100 per cent viewed✅ supporting each other✅ gave a like
I have a steam juicer and can my fruit in the fresh hot apple juice. That way when i open my jar i have a nice blended juice as well
Your cake looks beautiful! I have a question about your pressure cooker. I’m guessing yours is an Instant Pot. I do not own one, but I have looked into them. There are so many choices that it is overwhelming. May I ask what size and style yours is? Thank you, have a great day.
Wish they made aluminum Egg Bite molds, I’m not a fan of silicone bakeware.
I’m going to make the corn dog bites & them I’m going to place them in my Air Fryer to get the “fried corn dog” crisp on the outside…..I’ve thought of doing the same thing with the pancake bites, which I’m hoping will make it like a crisper “donut hole” on the outside???
Hoping it works!!
Thank you so much. My husband is trying to be Vegan or Vegetarian. More ideas and options.
FYI Sugar is not a preservative and there fore are able to can without adding it. Just adding my thought on this –
Thank you for sharing this! I love that your DIY Videos are simple, clear to understand,. and help us see each step by step. l have 2 big pear trees, and I’m going to try it out! Those canned pears look awesome!
Hi love this but i have a question why r my peaches frosting on top?
I planted a pear tree this year in my backyard, I can not wait to try this recipe, you come up with such delicious recipes, thank you for sharing!
Oh Starry! This is so good. My husband is a diabetic and I am needing so many no sugar canning recipes!
Fabulous recipe! I want to try this. Do you drink the soaking water from the dates? I’ve tried raisin water which is delicious!:)
Maybe a tablespoon or two less water because the berries add moisture. Please no music. miniature sausages instead of hotdogs. From Catherine’s Plates she puts a paper towel under the foil to soak up condensation.
OMG! Where have you guys been? Is everything okay? Miss your videos and thank you for the upload❤
I missed your recipes! Welcome back. I love pears and this is a wonderful way of cooking them. The combination of ingredients looks amazing and I can’t wait to try this recipe. Thanks for doing this video, sharing your healthy recipes and also for all the nutritional information.
P.S.: u cut ur pears with so much patience n love
Nice. You need to use cooking spray and they’ll come out great. Good recipes.
I’ve missed your videos so wonderful, soothing and inspiring.
Welcome back:)
Can you make a video on your stuff cabbage curry? Pleas and thank you!
So happy to receive your notification! I love all your wonderful tips and recipes and pass them along as one of my favorite Vegan YouTubers!!!
So glad you posted this! I just ordered 40 pounds of organic peaches from Azure Standard and plan on canning them. Thank you Starry!
Looking good Gary!! Great job done here on the video and your channel!! Have a great day, cheers Mark.
So happy to see you keep the skins on! I am not the only weird one
Looks wonderful. I love pears and chutneys a lovely combo.
more great pressure cooking goodness, Gary! I have a peeler with a blade that swivels slightly and is very good for peeling. I do enjoy the taste of cranberry but it seems I can’t buy any fresh locally and have to buy cranberry sauce. A very tangy secret ingredient! I enjoyed that drum n bass track playing throughout. like 26 and a full view. enjoy your day!
What happens if you boil them for over 30 minutes and why do you need to make sure the jars are not too full?
I’m a little concerned about using the microwave to sterilize (4?) wet-down jars for only one minute. At what power do you process this sterilization? How did you come by this technique?
I don’t remove my peelings on any fruit because I don’t want to waste all the nutrients available in them! God made them as a whole for a reason.
I was wondering how long they remain safe on pantry shelf? I have pre diabetes so I don’t want all the sugar in most recipes. Thanks for the recipe. Also how much of the lemon/water do you use in each jar?
Thanks Eric for the information. Question how do you prepared the sugar water?
Does anyone know if the egg bite mold would work in a crockpot brand pressure cooker?
Very helpful, thank you, I’ve more pear trees than I know what to do with.
I love these types of how-to videos. So very helpful and you’re a very good teacher. The clock has me laughing though
I love pears. They are much tastier than apples, in my opinion, but i think they’re entirely too underappreciated. This cake looks heavenly!
wow easy peasie and leaving the skins love it all the good stuff and NO SUGAR
Warm canned pears with vanilla ice cream and cinnamon and honey! Yes Please!
So good to see you again! What a delicious, zesty use of this delicate tasting fruit; I have no doubt that you have come up with the perfect blend of ingredients to complement, rather than obscure, the peary goodness: ) TFP!
very interesting… thank you for sharing.. a biiiiiiiiiiig like..
i am thinking the fresh blueberries gave off steam too so maybe why it exploded. i would try blanching the blue berries (you can do this ahead of time and save) so they are already cooked somewhat…blueberries color the batter, which i don’t necessarily mind, but if you do then put the blueberries in the powdered mix first, dredge them, and it supposed to keep the color from leeching out to the batter. also seeing they blew out of the mould, wonder if you used a wee bit less of the ingredients would keep them in the mould? no matter…if it tastes good it isn’t a problem for me.
I think before you make the blueberry pancakes and even the corn dog make sure you should spray some pan was something into the mold
Put the blueberries in the molds first. I found it doesn’t take very many
Please people who are vegan for the animals subscribe to fundacion santuario gaia this two guys are doing so much for animals is not only about what to eat is about the animals who are suffering
Hi. I watched the recipe making the blueberry pancake bites. Have you tried letting the batter sit in thee bowl for 5-10 minutes before cooking it? I know when I make pancakes I do this and it make them come out fluffier. Just curious your thoughts on this. Thanks for the recipes. I am going to give them a go.
You two are cool. Thanks for the videos. I would love to get about an acre near you all. That would be sweet.
can you make mini cheesecakes in the instant pot any suggestions
Maybe try mixing the batter with some BioShock mix and spray the molds with pam
The batter is thin and when I saw you were using Kodiak cakes I didn’t think it would work out. I would rather make a homemade pancake mix or get something like Aunt Jemima or Hungry Jack. Aunt Jemima as one that is whole wheat. But Kodiak cakes have protein added and a bunch of other stuff. Also if you put the blueberries on the bottom the pancake batter should not stick because the blueberries will allow them to come off. I would also brush the molds with either oil or melted butter. I do mini meatloaves which I called meatloaf muffins in my muffin tray so that they can be Frozen and used for a meal and or sandwiches. You have a ninja foodi and you’re in love with the instant pot?!
Did you solve the problem with the blueberry bites? I bet they needed to be pricked so they wouldn’t explode, right?
If you’re still working out the recipe, while those measuring cups are cute, i wonder how accurate they are?
Does spraying the mold help?
I wonder if there is a way to stack those molds?
Cute dress on your instantpot!
Try the steam function instead of pressure for the pancakes.
Could you use an equal amount of vinegar in place of the lemon juice?
For the first recipe I think you need to oil each container, and maybe add a little melted butter to the mix. Love your recipes!!, i just bought an Instant Pot and I am scared to death of it!!,!
I do not eat excess sugar. Coffee is the ONLY time I put sugar, since I don’t do PRODUCTION FOOD I don’t have that problem. I use a lot of honey though, honestly, I’m not crazy about sugar. TOO SWEET, yuck!
I am canning my peaches your way today.
I can a lot of peaches but have not tried pears. Will have to try this, thanks Eric.
I think your pancake mix need 1 egg, and spray molds well, maybe small amount of butter or oil. Hope this helps?
Hi Starry, me and my sister are going to try lime juice and put some spices. Thank you for this video. LOVE YOU BOTH, GOD BLESSINGS ON YOU.
For blueberry pancakes, Maybe try using a paper towel before the tin foil to help with condinsation also quick release of steam. This may help..
mini meatloaves…you could change up the seasoning a bit and make giant meatballs!
Great recipes and camera work. So many videos I’ve seen don’t show you what they are doing, only their faces. Thank you for showing the ingredients and what you are doing step by step.
Try putting a paper towel bettween the top of the mold and the foil. Make sure the foil is tight!! This would be helpful for any recipe you do in the bites mold as it will absorb excess moisture. I agree with Susan Lowe that the pancake batter needs oil or butter.
Hi thank you for the video. I suggest you dehydrate the blueberries. I imagine you have a dehydrator, just either dehydrate them or purchase pre-dehydrated fruit. Thanks for the great tips!
Replace 1/4 cup of the water in recipe with 1 beaten egg. Also put berries in cups then pour batter into cups. They should do better for you.
I just made some tomato sauce with my tomatoes, but it only made a jar and a half. If my garden were to produce enough tomatoes to make many jars more, can I seal them in the pressure cooker later? Or do they all have to be done at once?
That looked so yummy when I saw the thumbnail I had to watch the video.
When canning you always remove the air bubbles before placing the lid on!!!
Try to make it with out the fresh blueberries maybe to much moisture
I’ve seen one where she places a paper towel over it first & then covers it with foil over that & the paper towel sucks up most of the condensation!!
But mine came out, definitely cooked through, but “gooey” instead of just moist or fluffy:(
Muhteşem yüreğine sağlık çok güzel olmuş:) kocaman like hayırlı günler
Excellent step by step detail Gary, and they do look delicious
Definition of insanity….
Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results!
Love this recipe❤️️. I’m gonna do this. We are cutting all unnecessary sugar out of our diet so this will help. Thanks
How did you cut your hot dogs into thirds and end up with 7?
The new egg bite molds have a silicone lid. Tinfoil is actually toxic and should never touch your food. So “they” say.
Yay for Instant Pot recipes! I’ve had mine for close to a year and just now bought an egg bites mold (haven’t even used it yet) so finding this video is great timing. I hope the brand I bought will release ok with cooking spray. Crossing fingers! Hopefully the mini corn dog idea will go over well with the grandkids. I wonder if it would work out ok to stab the hotdogs with bamboo cocktail picks and then carefully cover with foil. Littles love food on sticks. I’m hoping to find lots of uses for those molds to help with food portioning for me. Thank you for your ideas and now I have to look through your videos to see how you got a cute cover for your IP.
I think the pancake batter needs oil. Use the waffle recipe on the box if there is one. Also roll the blueberries in the dry flour and add them after all the other ingredients are mixed together. This helps the blueberries to disperse rather sink. Hope this helps. Good luck!
Oh my gosh, I love all of your videos! I wanted to ask you about the towel you have in the pot, is that in place of a rack? I’m wanting to can peaches but I just have a regular pot and no rack for them to sit on. I’m worried they will crack and break when boiling, any suggestions?
Thank you in advance
Try putting butter on each circle and then put flour on them then dump out the flour before using the pan
Susan’s right; always dredge fruit in flour first. And I always use cooking or baking spray on silicone molds because foods will stick in them, just like with metal baking pans.
What are the silicone lids for? Can’t you cover the bite molds with the lids and stack in the instant pot. I thought that is what they are for.
I thought you had to put sugar in the fruit to keep bacteria from forming?
How long to you boil the peaches once you put them in the hot bath in jars?
Thanks for sharing I think the juices in the blueberries are your problem. In the mold there is nowhere for that steam to go and they are exploding. I think you need a drier add in. Anyway, I will be looking forward to your next video until then please take care and God bless !
Thank you for your video, I just finished your recipe and cant wait to taste it tomorrow chilled.
Wow!!!! I love ALL of your recipes but this one takes the cake.
Me and my mom like watching your videos, especially since we have our own chickens and a mean rooster.
Have you tried spray oil in your egg bite mold? You could also contact six sister stuff they are like pros at the instant pot thing I have learned so many things from them they might know to what to do for the egg bites they are on YouTube
Can you spray the mold with non stick cooking spray to keep the pancakes from sticking?
Spray or brush your mold with oil or butter and don’t mix in the blueberries, coat them lightly in a couple teaspoons of flour & add them on top to each one
I coat the molds (metal and silicon) with coconut oil. It works as a mold release, and is yummy!
Try it with eggs, meat, cakes, or anything…if you don’t like the coconut oil, any cooking oil is worth a try.
Try different oils for different things, you’ll find what you like.
The pancake bites seem way thinner than mine!!! I make the Kodak protein and milk for additional protein
Is one batch enough for you, I have made egg bites 2 times and use 2 molds, so 12 total and they are never enough.
I can’t have sugar or salt so I am glad you posted this. I would like to see more videos like this.
I just bought this and trying as well have found that with egg bites fillings not to pack it and push it down just fill with fillings and pour in the egg, as well as the spray oil!!
I have been contemplating the meatball challenge!! it’s so fun bringing interest to cooking again!!
BEAUTIFUL UPLOAD
NEW FRIEND
Starry HilderHow long did u cook your peaches after u put them in the bottles? Love u girl.
What’s the purpose of the towel in the water bath? AND are you removing the skins as you eat the peaches or eating the skin?
I have never used a PC on peaches, anyway. They r always water bath. However I have a steamer I do mine in
I love pears. I’m sure this will be great for me to make. I will probably eat the whole bowl though, lol.
Keep them coming, ladies:-)
wonderful dessert video, thanks for sharing, have a great day
Your channel is awesome you have great content thanks for taking the time to stop by my channel and leaving a comment is greatly appreciated
Once the note peaches are added to the hot jars, do you put the lids on and then put them back in the hot water to seal them?
Thanks, Vanessa. These recipes are perfect for just the two of us. Love the blueberry pancake bite!!:-D <3
Nice. =)
I would agree with everyone who said the pancake batter seemed too thin. And maybe dried blueberries would work better?
This looks and sounds so so delicious! Thank you for the tutorial, you did a great job! I feel so inspired and it started a wonderful conversation about pears and your recipe!
Wow the cake is so gorgeous!! I’ve never had the bravery to bake in the pressure cooker XD, the pears must be SOOOO tender in that cake though after being pressure cooked
Is there an alternative to aluminum foil?
I do not use aluminum foil, because I have alzheimers and dementia that runs in my family. And I’ve had three relatives that used to use it like crazy and I do mean like crazy, they all three got alzheimer’s or dementia or both. Two of the family members had sisters that never used aluminum foil, never got alzheimer’s or dementia same mother and father.
I am hard to understanding so please explain a couple of things please. You said sprinkle fresh fruit preserve or a little lemon juice. Then you said lemon water; add some lemon water. 1. You use just the lemon juice or use lemon water? and do you sprinkle the lemon? With a spray bottle? 2. You put water in a pot without the lemon and water mix and then add some lemon water mix after the water came to boil? please respond and thank you.
The skin of fruit & veggies is where you will find nearly all the vitamins & minerals.
hello Gary this is another great video,it looks so yummy and very healthy dessert, love it!
Just a question about sugar free in jams, etc do you do that or still use sugar? We don’t eat sugar and are not sure how to can without it. I will try this!! Thank you and God bless.
Gary! Ooh smushy plaintine. Apple pear n plaintive sounds so good. I like how you say the facts of all your recipes. Man Gary i’ve seen you plant, make dinners, deserts n bartend oh n doggy whisper lol. Cook for me please pretty please! Berto❤️❤️
This is state of the art baking. I’m always amazed by your recipe guys but this one takes the cake… well, literally!
I love you guys, have a fabulous day!
I’ve never had this before but apples and pears sounds like a really good combo to me:) Thanks for the share man!
Why cant you put lid that comes with egg bite mold to cook??
I can’t seem to find organic peaches close to Minnesota. This will be the first year I don’t can them because I found out the peaches I was getting by the bushels were sprayed with pesticides. I need to find organic peaches!!
Nice video. Full watched…… I love yours new knife
Dear Gary, thank you for your very taste recipe. Yummy Yummy. Greetings, Anita
But how long did you keep the jar down in the boiling water after filling them with the peaches?
I have to agree with the last two comments. Spray the mold for the pancakes and coat the blueberries in som flour. I also would not pop them out until they sit for a few minutes without the foil in them. I bet you will have success on your next try.
Wow great apple pear dessert there Gary. Thank you for the lovely video.
You are shouting “fresh organic” again and again but use food preservative in your recipe
I spray my molds with cooking spray then wipe excess spray out with a napkin. That leaves just enough so the food comes out and it is not greasy.
Why do you cover them with foil?
Honestly I wouldn’t bother with all that mucking around for a just 7 little bites
try putting some melted butter in your pancake mix plus cooking spray.
I just LOVE you RECIPES. I DO NOT
MEAT. You PREPARE MANY MANY WONDERFUL RECIPES for myself. THANK YOU. SHALOM. Till next time. CHOW
Those look delicious! Thank you Starry for taking the intimidation out of canning and always sharing such excellent tips and skills with us. Have a blessed day:-)
Oh, no! The Instapot cult has gotten to you and Kevin too! Kidding! I have never really thought about combining pear and chocolate together as I always assumed the chocolate flavor would overwhelm the delicate floral notes of pears. But this cake looks so luscious, I am rethinking my suspicions. TFP: )
So happy you’re back! Looks amazing will try this for sure
Oh my gosh thank you for this recipe. I live in the deep deep south and there are only so many regular fruit trees I can grow. I am definitely going to have to grow a pear tree. Pears are good. I definitely need to find resources to make stuff with them.
Nice to see more about different accessories for the Instant Pot. Tip for adding blueberries to your pancake bites. Take about a tablespoon of the dry mix and toss the blueberries in it. It helps them be suspended within the batter instead of sinking or rising, and grease the mold with oil. Some cooking sprays degrade the silicone.
Some Mauritian dishes may be? Like Boulette Chouchou and other dim sum variation would awesome!:D
they are excellent…. no sugar needed…over cottage cheese with red raspberry jam.nom nom nom….thank you starry…you changed my life with this one…
Question. when you put them in the hot water to a boil, doesn’t the peelings automatically come of when you take them out of water?
This is fabulous! I just got an exceptionally crazy deal on 50 pounds of fresh picked (less than 24 hours ago) organic peaches. I couldn’t pass it up. Wasn’t looking forward to all the dipping in boiling water to remove the skins but I was looking forward to having a wonderful supply of home canned organic no-sugar peaches. Then I find cheery Starry telling me that not only can I have no-sugar canned peaches but that I don’t have to do all the tedious peeling! Thanks Starry!
