I’d consider myself more advanced, so I was drawn to the title of this, but I found it more on the advanced side only when I added weight, etc. I think the ranking system would help your audience navigate which workout to follow, help avoid injury, and ensure we are getting the workout we need for our level.:)

I’ve injured my lower back twice this year first time with a plank and second time with squats with a power bag. Really appreciate this video because I’ve just slowly started sessions again at the gym and I’m lost with what to do. Almost like I’m afraid. Will definitely try these exercises.
Hi Joanna I have been having problems with minor lower back pain, which seems to elevate after I run longer distance (+10K). I then realized I didn’t have a good core muscle strength. So your video has been a great insight! Two questions: when is the best time of the day to do these core exercises? Morning? Before or after I run? Also, do I have to do stretching/warming up first before attempting these core exercises?

All these exercises are dangerous for low back issues like sciatica. Post responsibly, you may cause discomfort and acute pain to many.

This is literally every position you want to avoid for back pain. The safest ab excercises for back pain are side planks/lateral movements and standing rotational core movements.

Do you guys know ‘AthleanX’? With Jeff Cavaliere, right?.. First of all, this channel is a copypaste of his. Even the logo is a ripoff of his logo. Two, if you train to fix back pain you should never flex your hip actively in an ab exercise, it’s just contributing to the problem by further loading the hip flexors which will take away the job of the abdominals. This…. is… bad.

Just a tip from someone with low back trauma and advice from doctors DON’T DO ANY planks. They are NOT meant for people with back problems. The high plank looks like a great advice but she doesn’t have the sharp pain every time she uses any weight on her low back so don’t do it.

Ladies I know these workouts are from quite some time ago, but I have to send love and gratitude your way. I’ve been doing workouts that “targeted obliques” for a year now, and this workout coupled with the Day 3, part 1 butt and oblique workout have done their job. You look great. Good Philosophy regarding training injuries. I believe I tore my L4 or L5 Disc so I’m trying to heal the Sciatic Nerve Pain in my left hip. Very Slow progress back to 100% because I keep irritating it with either Ab.or Leg work. Nothing’s worse then not training your legs. With a back injury, One is really at a minimum on what exercises they can pick for legs. Thanks for your video.

I smashed this and that is such improvement!!! Last year when I first started my journey, I couldn’t keep up with the modifications?!?!? Now, I can push through every single challenge and even add tweaks to increase the intensity. I’m a intermediate to advanced fitness level. Currently I pick 3-4 different exercises @15-20reps 2 circuits. I’m doing my abs 2-3 times weekly with my other muscle groups. I’m having trouble getting the lower abs I’m looking for. How many total reps should I be doing and how often?

Sorry, but all of these still cause pain and pressure on either my back or neck. The first one is too much focus on different moves all at once that keeps it hard to hold your back straight. The third one still hurts on your neck as well as your back. keeping still in safe positions is much more efficient for your back/neck.

If anybody has time to respond to this, it would be greatly appreciated. I started losing weight a year ago. Finally, after too much cardio and some specified workouts, my body is fine, except for one thing. Flaccid abs and obliques. I managed to loose all the fat in my stomach, and now my stomach is flat. However it is very flaccid, and I have not yet revealedthe worst part. My obliques. They’re medium-small sized “love handles” which are extremely soft, and they are very annoying. I want to get rid of them but I just don’t know how.
I shattered my pelvis years ago, have chronic lower back pain. A session of crunches is specifically not what I was looking for.
I like crunches and they gave me a six pack so I’ll stick with them

Why has no physical therapist recommended elevating the feet? Solved the problem immediately. Plus, I was avoiding planks because I was doing low planks and they made my back wore. Excellent stuff!

Well I still feel everything on my neck. When lifting up my legs, I‘m feeling everything on my legs and lower back. I think my back is fked up. What should I do

Just finished this! Day 10 of the FB30 program. Loved this workout so much. My favorite moves are the back bows and Russian twists. Plank reaches were so hard for me though (my balance is really bad with that one).
Oh, and also, it’s good to see Daniel going for a couple of second of rests with the Russian twists. That one really BURNS! I usually feel bad when I go for a rest in the middle but seeing him do it made me feel okay

shirley sahrmann’s ab exercises for PT are way safer, your second exercise would likely cause a posterior derangement with all that lumbar flexion, your still my fav however
I just saved this video because I would like to lose my stomach but I have two herniated disc. Any suggestions on what I can do that won’t aggravate my disc?
