Okay…. Not even 50, but in a few months, what am I doing here? Well listen… I got a very serious crush on my leg (Tibia Plateau fracture # 6) due to an accident with all physical and mental consequences. When I realized that there had to be a way to lose weight and at the same time to be more secure in all aspects of life, but also to strengthen my abilities and to regain confidence in what and who I once was physically and mentally, (certainly for myself but also for my husband who has always supported me through thick and thin) well now….. I follow a training every day for a few months, although at my own level i have lost 25 pounds and I feel better in my body now, I intend to follow you for a long time to come and let you know how I am doing next June 2020. Thank you for all your uploads xxxxx
…….. YOU MAKE ME FEEL SECURE………
Great workout! love the fact we can work out the entire body. Thanks so much.
i loved it!!!!!PLEASE PUT MORE FOR US FORTY GIRLS!!!!YOU ROCK!
This was awesome!! I LOVE your workouts!! Thank you!:) I started the triceps stingers (wait, did you call them extensions? Lol!) and thought, oh nooo, no,… wait,… grunt… ok, here comes another one… grunt… I think I can,… oh yes I did and I think I’m going to be sore tomorrow.:D This may be strange, but every time I get to side bends, I’m never sure I’m doing them correctly because when I lean to my right side, my right knee wants to push forward. I’ve tried to find a side view of this move, but I don’t think I have. Maybe I’m just not as flexible on that side but I’m wondering if my technique is wrong.?
This was great!! Had to modify good mornings-I used an 8lb and did not want to hurt my back. Did dead lifts, then tricep extensions. Everything else, just as ordered.
I had more fun listening to you than anyone else I’ve ever watched. Ok…now to replay and do the workout.
Just what I’ve Been looking for. Strength workout with dumbbells no fluff
Hey PJ, I watched your entire workout and love what you do. You are super fit to talk and do such a strenuous routine. I am over 60 would this be safe and good for me to do? I am very fit and have exercised all my life however I am now working with weights. Thanks in advance!
Love this workout! I have been doing it about 3-4 times per week and I definitely have noticed a difference in my body! Listen to PJ and do not use dumbbells when you start! Start easy and work your way up to using dumbbells! I could barely walk just like she said after the first workout, but now I feel great!
Love the friendliness and welcoming feel to the videos. I’m here looking for quick get in get out type exercises so I’ll have a look at your video selection and see if it’s a fit for me. thanks!
Loving this workout what a challenging group of exercises! Feels good to try something different! Thanks Pahla!
Another keeper! Thank goodness I got my 5 lb. weights yesterday because definitely can’t get through this (yet) with my 8 pounders. I got my hair stuck in the dumbbells, too, so may use a bandanna next time. You are making me love weight training, Pahla:)
First workout in a loooong time for a 55 years young sedentary person. I survived and didn’t hate it, haha!! How many times a week do you recommend for a newbie? I’m assuming 3-4 times a week since you do all muscle groups. Love your fun personality! Thanks!
just found you and subbed. Great workout only had a little prob with the right lunge thing lol Need to work on that.
Thank you Pahla! Love the challenges in this one, my brain AND body are getting stronger!
Thank you for this workout. I’ll be checking out the rest of your videos. I am excited to see my progress. Thanks again.
Woo Doggies, that was a good one!!!! I got through the first round with my 10lbs, then dropped to 8lbs for the last two rounds. I’m gonna be feeling that one for a couple days!
Thanks this was a good workout I hope to catch the next live.
I found you a couple weeks ago and have done a few of your workouts. I really like you! You are personable and sensible in your approach to exercise! It’s pretty freeing to hear that you don’t have to do such an intense workout for it to be effective.
I am 54 and have Hashimoto’s and just started menopause. I am trying hard to get into an exercise routine. I have never been a consistent exerciser, but with the Hashimoto’s I feel I have to be care to not overdo it. I run out of energy really easily. Is this workout okay to do daily or 2 days in a row? Or should I do, maybe a walking workout in between? I’ve been exercising 3-4 days per week for a couple months.
I like workouts that have no jumping and no floor exercises. To tell the truth, I am a little overwhelmed with the amount of videos you have! Anyway, thank you for sensible and doable exercises!
Phew! Probably not the best choice with my ankle injury but I modified and really enjoyed this one! Thank you Pahla
I have resistance bands can u please do a full body workout with bands w handles please. And thanks again for good workout just women like me.
this is a killer on my bad knees. got anything without squats for us with knee injuries
I loved this workout, Pahla! Sweat on my keyboard at the moment (:
Great workout PJ! Thanks! Concerning dog training… check out my little channel
Thank you PJ for a nicely balanced workout for older women. I am 65 and since the corona virus our YMCA is closed. It is nice to be able to have a coached workout available on Utube. The end of the video has interference so maybe you could redo it. I did your HIIT one today. I am from Media PA.
Great workout! I’m following you now on IG, your dogs are adorable! I love posting my 2 rescue pitmixes on IG, too!
Great workout, but not easy. I found the high curls very difficult. I just couldn’t hold my arms still. Will come back to this next week to see if I can do better!
This is definitely a favorite! I used my handy dandy 3lbs but I want to move it up to 5 next time! Thanks my friend for getting me there!
LOVE this workout, Pahla!!!!! Thanks for looking out for us postmenopausal gals!!!!
Love these work out videos. I use them daily here in my lounge in my little house in Oxfordshire.
Just did this workout! I loved it, finally a workout for women over 40. I am 44 and I am not new to working out, but PJ you are the best! I subscribed and plan to do your workouts 4x per week! Thank you
Good workout! It’s hard to keep my balance though when I keep Laughing!! I was pulling on my hair too! LOL
How does a subscription work? I don’t really understand YouTube.
Very fun… even when I could be eating a chocolate bunny! Happy Easter✝️
Please do a band and run work out please it’s hard to find a good one
Loved doing this workout! Thank you! I also work like Zack with horses, cats and dogs. I am sure you will love my channel the talking furkids! See my cat and dog speak with talk buttons amongst other things. I also don’t have human kids, only fur kids, by choice. Little things about your video I would love extra, some training music in the back ground ☺️ So happy I found this channel ❤️
I am 60 and usually do Jazzercize 4 times a week. Due to Isolation I am trying new workouts. Love the strength training. I am just too old for burpees and 200 pushups, lol. Thanks
First time I’ve worked out with you. You’re fantastic. I am going to be 60, and I find your workouts to be effective in just right. New subscriber.
Did this tonight for the first time, no weights. Loved it. Thank you!!!
First day trying this. Question: when I do the side ab crunches, I feel them in my thighs and hips, but I feel nothing in my abs or sides. Am I doing them incorrectly? Thanks.
I like this exercise you have introduced. It is easy yet difficult and makes my heart beat fast. Thank you very much for sharing.
Thank you! I am active and exercise but am gaining weight… I read some articles this morning as I am coming to terms with being in my late 40s and saw that I really need to do strength training. I found this and loved it! Thank you!
This was tough but it manage to get it done. 2 down 12 to go! Thanks Lady P
Thank you for this workout. I’ve been doing it twice weekly x 3 weeks!
Great, short n to the point getting more muscles involved, you rock killer bee,
Hi, Fitness with PJ!
I was watching some of your videos on Youtube and I have to say, I love them!
I am TxbzSpectral (or Connor). And I’m a graphic designer that specializes in Youtube thumbnails.
I’m pretty sure that you know how important Youtube thumbnails are because the CTR is one of the main metrics that decide whether YouTube will promote your content or not.
Like I just said I create thumbnails for Youtubers and help them improve their CTR so that they can grow faster, make more money grow their business etc.
If you’re interested, feel free to message me back and I’ll send you over a free thumbnail right away!
I’d love to start working together in the long term.
Kind regards
TxbzSpectral
Thanks for this. It was a bit tricky, but hopefully I will get stronger.:-)
This is what I need to add to my exercise routine. My only question is how many reps should I do of each?
“Contemplating our life choices”-I LOVE that! I was able to do the whole thing (although my squats were a lot shallower than yours). I think I need to strengthen my back a little so that I can go heavier with the weights next time (three-pounders this time). And it was SO FUN to hear my name at the end! Thanks for another good one, Pahla.
I’m not quite 40 but I subscribe to this channel and love these workouts. Thanks for the commentary that is funny enough to keep me distracted.
Loved it! You are fantastic. Unable to go to the gym cause covid19. Thanks.
This is a brilliant workout, it’s going to keep me sane in the coming months! Thank you! You’re an inspiration! Happy Birthday!
Hi Pahla, I’ve been doing this wonderful work out for about a month now 2x per week at least. I have been super careful with my arthritic back and only messed up once by trying to increase weight too soon on the lower body section. Question: Do you have other videos designed with concentration on the large muscle groups? I may have missed some in the past and would like to give them a go. I’ve also been doing your cardio workouts for us ladies “of a certain age” with great success. I can’t thank you enough for this series. Please keep ‘em coming. Blessings to you!
I love this workout. Thanks PJ! I have been looking for a workout which I can continue daily and enjoyable. This workout is so perfect. It’s my 8th day and feeling so good!
First time working out with you. Loved it. Thank you for making it enjoyable with your humor!
Hi Pahla, loving this workout except for the abs work where we put our leg out to the side As I do it I can feel and hear like a click? Any suggestions how to modify it as I’m sure that’s not good for something?
Your are no doubt good Phala. Love all your workouts but I still have to get used to your constant chatter.
Would be nice if you had the numbers to the side of the screen for the repetitions. Also how many times a week should we be doing this workout?
This workout felt great! Thank you for the strength “therapy.”
Warm up starts 4:30
Strength training starts 7:25
Would you like to see longer pre-recorded strength training?
I really enjoyed your workout, I had a good chuckle too, thank you! Subscribed.
Paula, I just today, May 13, 2020,discovered your video for seniors.Love it. I did go to a gym and worked with a trainer prior to all gyms closing. This made me feel that I could maintain my fitness level until [if] gyms open again. BTW I am 73 and altho my form want’s fancy today I could do all the exercises.
I’m adding this to one of my favorite workouts. It was a little difficult, but not impossible. Thanks for your humor it helps
Hey PJ, just letting you know from 29:39 the video and audio gets static-y.
Loved this!!! How many times do you do this a week? Thank you!
Thanks for the reminder about how important strength training is as we age. I was surprised at how sweaty I got today doing this workout. Thank you!!
Oh My Goodness!!!! so, so glad I found you. I absolutely L O V E this workout (I did have to tweak a few moves) but it felt great!! Thank you and new subbie
Killer b day 1, I love starting the week “pumping iron”, lol! And congrats on 40k subs!
Thank for helping me with these useful exercises. I just love the motivating presentation of your workout.
Just great! Thanks from a grateful participant from Germany.
YOU GO MS LADY! I needed this to inspire my clients over 50…(although I too am over 50) Great JOB
When I see L4 I say God give me strength because Pahla trying to kill me but in a good way. Love your workouts.
This was a terrific total body workout and the cardio in between to loosen up was most welcome. Thanks again, Pahla!
I really like these moves. However, my knees are bad so doing all the lunges and squats is painful. What kind of variations can I do that still allow me to work my quads without the pain in my knees?
First time working out with you! Awesome workout. Will be checking out more of your videos. Thank you so much!
Stumbled across this workout today, just what I was looking for! After years of running, heavy duty weights and bad stretching habits my knees are shot. This was perfect, will do again for sure!
This was a good work out, but killer on my knees! The curtsies and lunges put me in agony. Don’t do this one, peeps, if you have bad knees.
Please show some real push ups. Knee style is ok for beginners, not for anyone showing fitness results.
Second time around and I still love it I did notice this time that I was able to use heavier weights at some points love that feeling knowing I’m getting stronger! Thank you Pahla!!
Pahla, I’ve always been told you have to do two to three sets of exercises to be considered strength training.
So is this considered strength training with only one set of ten?
Thank you!
Love the compound workouts! I’m finally seeing results. Thank you so much!
Great weight workout. I’m going to feel it tomorrow. Thank you!!
Hi Bernice! First of all, I want to apologize for interrupting about the feedback when it turns out it was from ‘my’ computer. Your workouts are great! Your 50something body is a testament to what working out /moving your body can do — you look fabulous!!
Sorry! From 29:40 31:09 the video quality is crap. I have no idea why, my apologies. ox PJ
I started with a weight that initially felt good but ended up being a little too challenging. My heart rate went uncomfortably high, so I ditched the weights halfway thru the second circuit. I’ll revisit this workout again with a lower weight so my heart rate doesn’t go sky high. Even though I modified, this was a fun challenge!
I’m lovin all of your workouts which are the first ones that allowed me to get by body moving again after some knee issues.
I’m 60 and trying weight lifting for weight control rather than just cardio.
OMG!! I love these compound exercises! Really got the heart rate up! I’m a sweaty mess! The part about needing more recovery time really resonated with me. I’ve been feeling so unfit and just blah for several months even though I exercise every day. This 14-day plan is really changing my perspective and helping combat negative self-talk. I really can’t thank you enough.
Pahla is see your abs!I wanna see my abs and loose that lower belly pooch! X
Thank you so much for this! You’re awesome and so nice to work out with.:)
Nice workout. It’s good to slow down with the weights every now and then.
Thanks for this awesome workout. I have a new appreciation for slow balance and strength work.
I’m not sure what burns more… My brain from all those compound moves that I had to concentrate on or my bottom! Hahaha! Great sweaty burn! ❤️❤️
I have to agree with that last poster from the UK. I just found this video and I’m glad I did. ☺️ You’re workout was great
I felt like I was getting it done without killing my joints. This is definitely a keeper . Thank you for thinking about us!
I am so glad I recently found you, Pahla! I love your casual style and challenging workouts!
Good workout! Where is the website you mentioned at the end?
I agree with what Lourdes said a couple of comments below…but my favorite part of the quote was when you said, “at least you should be good acquaintances.” That cracked me up. I really enjoyed this workout. I used today as a push day, so I followed it with a 10 minute strength with heavy weights that you did a while back and then a “drinky-bird” finisher. I stretched afterwards and am ready to get outside into the sunshine. I hope you are well. So much appreciation and the warmest of hugs (germ free of course) being sent your way.
Body weight only and kept arms no higher than more shoulders…you know why! So good on all parts!! SFG!
This was my first time doing one of your workouts. Loved it! Looking forward to trying some more.
Crazy week at work. Only exercised twice☹️. Today finally had time for a proper workout. Whew! This was good to get back in the swing. Where are your fitness friends?
I just found your channel and completed this workout. Thank you for a great workout and enjoy your energy! You made me laugh and easy to follow your instructions. I just subscribed after one workout!
I added this to my Favorite Workouts playlist! I’m turning 52 tomorrow and this is perfect for me!
You’re so cute, motivating, and most of all……down to earth. I’m so glad I found you and your workouts. It’s really hard to find workouts for older women that don’t treat you like you’re ready for the nursing home:)
Wow! First time on your channel, I’m glad I came across it. I was looking for a strength training exercise and this was great. I like the message on your tank top, how true is that! Thank you
Upward rows like that are not good for the shoulder. I’m not trying to burst any bubbles, I’m so glad you make videos, but I’m not showing this one to my mom because those rows are not safe.
Yay. I’m not in menopause yet but I love these. Can’t wait to do this later today. You’re so good.
Your workouts are the only ones I come back to over and over. The weights workouts are brilliant. Thank you!
Thanks for giving back to humanity, Pahla. The workout was doable for me and I did sweat.l
Have you ever been over weight or obese according to standards? I am so frustrated with YouTube because all the people in this category are primarily young girls who already have a decent metabolism, have never had kids, haven’t gone through menopause, or dealt with hormones. I am not a fan of working at AT ALL. Just think about this: Did cavemen go through workout routines? No. They just kept active and mobile. No actual routine. They also ate only foods available to them by any means…and most foods they had no access to starchy and sugary carbs. They didn’t worry about or obsess over the amount of calories they took in per day as well as the macros. In addition…they didn’t follow any recipes. We shouldn’t have to kill ourselves in the gym just to look good. Everything is in our diets. I cannot be a vegetarian or a vegan. I tried it end of story. I also don’t want to be a drone or zombie who pays other people to provide things to me that do not work for me and then my money is wasted. I am just at a loss. Truly down and out.
Fantasticand I was able to use my middle weights I can see my progress
That was amazing, thank you for everything you do! Your abs are GOALS!
Paula, this work out was great and your energy is amazing. You are so fit and also so elegant. How often do you recommend this workout for a middle-aged woman? Just subscribed and I’m excited to check out your channel. All the best from Australia.
First workout with you tonight.
Got a sweat up and enjoyed it.
This was tough, used it as my push day. I am a hot sweaty mess. I so wanted to hit thumbs down because I was tired when it was done.LOL But as you said, I hope to feel better about it tomorrow. Thanks Pahla,
I am doing this twice a week. I know that our bodies get used to the same exercises after doing them repeatedly. If I am doing your cardio videos in between this strength workout, how long before my body will stop responding to this routine and I stop seeing any progress?
You are totally correct that using weights and building muscles. Consistency is key!
Recommended calories per day to lose menopausal belly fat. Work out 6 days a week and not seeing any results…HELP!
I love that you keep it simple, and talk the whole time. Your work-outs are safe and you are spot on with your information.
I enjoyed your Workout
I can do this so Glade to find you
Comfortable My first time with You ❤️
I Can’t wait until Next Time
Thanks. Clo
New to your channel. Needed something for an older gal. You were just what I needed, and hilarious. Thank you!
I had a little more gas in my tank and I LOVE upper body work, so I added on 3 extra upper body exercises at the end and extended my cool down a bit. I really enjoyed the short cardio bits thrown in to keep us moving and engaged. Thanks, Pahla!
Awesome! So glad you chose to use the timer instead of counting!
Finally found something I like! Thank you! How often do you recommend to do this workout? Thank you again!
Wow! And whew weee! Thanks Pahla B. I feel like I’ve accomplished something good thats helping me feel better about me and happy for me.
Woah this was great. I did the first round with 8 lbs (first time I’ve lifted that much on purpose since my babies were little lol). Next two with 5 lbs. Wow! Definitely one I’ll come back to.
Hi, Chris Freytag, I Love Your Exercise Workout Videos! It is so lovely!❤
OMG I LOATH burpies!! Thank you for informing me that there is substitute!! YAY!Great workout vid;)
Two days ago I attempted weights for the first time ever. What a fun workout! You made it look so easy. I sweat a bit but felt fine. The next day I couldńt move…
Thank you for showing me that I need to do strenght training.
I’m 50 years old and so happy I found your channel.

Omg u are the first trainer who make me want to workout. Thank u
53 and do not love strength training. This was totally doable makes me feel like I will be able to do the strength training that I need. Thank you!
Great strength workout! I am super sweaty and I kept getting my hair caught bin the dumbbells too during the tricep presses. Thanks!
OMG!!! You killed it… tried your workout today for the first time, I was not able to finish, but will get there….. thanks just what I needed.
Thanks for your work, PB. I haven’t hit the age range this video is targeting, but this workout would be a great challenge to me, as well. Can’t wait to try it!
Thank you PJ! I’m with Emma below your workouts are the ones I always come back to! And I love your sense of humour and chit chat it gets me through to the end and with a smile!
Hi Pahla. Is this something I can do everyday or should I mix up and do different exercises everyday?
That was a great little strength session to add after my Zumba thank you!
Thank you! I enjoyed the slower pace for strength moves and working multiple body areas with each exercise. Felt worked out and sweaty!
This was awesome!! Thank you! I’m so glad that I found you! I just signed up for the 21 day challenge!
Hi PJ, thanks again for another great workout! I just did this with my husband! He enjoyed it so much as well…:) We’ll be doing lots more of your videos, lockdown in SA as been extended for another 2 weeks!!Thanks again! xx
How do you decide on the levels? What makes a workout level 2 or level 4? Thank you so much for your efforts.
Thank you Pahla. completes my day while being socially distanced.
for beginners, how often should we be doing this work out a week?
I am only 27 but maybe I’ll try this out some day. ♀️ It sure does look fine to me.
Whew!!! This one kicks my butt. Balance!?!? OMG. It was bad today. LOL
I love your workout. Its easy to follow and i feel my body enjoying the benefits even on the 2nd day only. I will continue to view your channel so I will have company while doing this workout. Thanks and regards!
I burned 210 calories with this challenging workout. Yikes it was tough. I think we lost balance together a couple of times, I laughed at myself and it felt good. Woo boo I got through it!
Thank you for all your explanation, answers all of my questions while we go through these challenging exercises. Feels amazing and empowering
All of these I can do except for the ones where I have to get down on my hands and knees. My wrist kill me when I try to do yoga poses and so do my knees. Any suggestions?
What a great workout; I was grunting in the first round! And u had some zingers in this: “life choices”! I was listening on my headphones and my hubby was looking at me quizzically as I burst out loud laughing as I’m lifting. Thank u!
Great workout and I’m not sure why but I like when you randomly swear at me LOL Subbed
Great workout PJ! But OMG your filter fell off today. You had me LOL
A weights workout that doesn’t hurt my back. Love the sweat of this workout!
I stumbled on your channel. This is exactly what I need. Thank you.
Thank you Pahla loved it! Can’t believe you were able to talk right through this one all I managed to do was grunt and groan
I love your stories about your dogs and for keeping it real!
Day 1 and Day 2 done! I have to say I loved this strength workout! I found the upper body exercises the most challenging since I have neck and shoulder issues. I liked the fact that it was followed by some cardio. Liked the format (strength followed by cardio, more strength followed by cardio…) I had to switch to 2 lbs weights for the last overhead exercise, but all good ️♀️. Thank you, Pahla!
Lighter 3kg hand weights with weighted vest worked well for me. Ty
Love these exercises! Incorporated some into my client’s workout today
Definitely one of my all-time favorites from PahlaB! Love it each time!
New subscriber! Great workout. I’m doing it every other day
Thanks for all your videos it’s really inspiring to workout at home. I have a question on breathing with the core pulled in because invariably I end up holding my breath to pull in my core please explain in one of your videos
I am 60 and in the my best shape, so I needed a maintenance workout. This was sooo good. All standing, no repeats!!
So
Much
Lol
I always crack up at how sweaty strength work gets me♀️
This was brilliant! Loved it all! And that movement between sets was delicious
Not enough thank yous in the world for you my dear
I didn’t want to do anything today but knew I needed to do something, esp more strength training at 57. Found this and it was PERFECT. Just enough, not too much and I know I’ll feel it tomorrow, in the best possible way. You are the best!
Whoever says strength training is not sweaty is so wrong loved this workout it was the right mix of strength, balance work and some cardio thank you Pahla!!
Thank you PJ…I was always afraid of working out with my 2.5 KG dumbbell and your workout have me confidence… I love your sense of humour…Looking forward to having more of this x
Whew. This workout really kicked my butt! Sweaty, fun, and torture. My legs are killing me
OMGosh Pahla, this is perfection! I now understand why I’ve avoided weights for so long. I found that trainers were doing all small muscle groups or a combo of small and large muscle groups, which is why I had such a hard time with weights. But by concentrating on the large muscle groups I found this workout totally doable. Tomorrow I’ll do your wake up cardio for 10 mins and a little bike ride to the beach. Thank you so much for this great workout and for explaining everything like you do. Your awesome!
Thanks for being so thoughtful of us… the overweight postmenopausal lot. All the exercises are well explained and demonstrated. I tried working out with you today. I couldn’t keep my shoulders down but I liked this exercise to strengthen my back because I can’t do flys. I did those squats from a chair. And those lunges.. they were impossible. I have a hunched back, so not able to do bent over exercises, so please suggest other exercises to work my glutes and hamstrings.
I hadnt done a proper workout in about a month until I did this one last night. My caboose is on fire today! Thanks Pahla
Looks like a great work out but I am unable to door any floor exercises right now….do you happen to have a upper body work out that is standing only?
Phala i love you but dont you ever STOP talking between sets and my goodness the slowness of movements plus all that talking i had to leave after 5 minutes
That was a great workout, Pahla! Thank you for all you do to make them fun and strengthening!
Все понравилось! Спасибо! Жалко, что не понимаю. И неплохо было бы музыкальное сопровождения для ритма)
Thanks Pahla this was a great workout…You made working out with weights fun!!
Happy Birthday! Thank you for the strength training session. Just what I needed!!
