So I’ve been losing weight by changing my diet and exercising. I’m only doing minor changes every few days as not to fall out of all this work and weight loss so far. I started getting bored with the food I’m eating and have been looking for some ingredients to spice it up. This is exactly what I was looking for! Sweet potato toast is next on my list:)

This is really good! This is similar to a lot of the things I eat at college and I’m a dietetics student:) I always make roasted chickpeas (Tumeric, ginger, paprika, salt and pepper) and quinoa (cooked with turmeric and garlic too) and then I cooked some kale and eat a lot of kale, quinoa and chickpea bowls. Then I top with avocado or pumpkin seeds for fat and it’s soooo good

What meat do you use for it to safely be stored for four days?! meat is not supposed to last that longif it does don’t eat it! The stuff they put in there to make it last that long is nasty! But if I just prepare it for two days the recipe is dope.

How much you put the chicken breast in the owen? Is pre-heated the owen?
some really good ideas…and if planning for 7 days is overwhelming…just plan for 3-4, then just meal prep twice a week. for storing rice, i wouldnt store for more than 24 hours in the fridge, but you can store cooked quinoa for much longer..at up to a week. so maybe cook a small amount of rice to eat in the first meals, then you can have the quinoa later in the week.

A lot of this looks appetizing but I can’t do celery, it tastes like crap. Also hummus is gross. Those sweet potato toast things were not appetizing at all. The chicken looks suprlwr dried out. I actually eat a pretty healthy diet but this is just bonkers.

I’m a year late to this video, however, I’m so thankful meal planning isn’t limit to any time, month or year and that i can start anytime. I really enjoyed watching your video here, however, I feel like the content from the video assumes that one lives either by themselves. I was wondering if I could get advice from you about how to meal plan when I don’t live alone. Right now, I currently still live with my parents and four other siblings. I am the oldest so it feels weird to me to meal plan for just myself. I do most of the grocery shopping for the whole family as well because none of my family members work stable jobs. Yet, I really want to start on meal prep and learn, so when I move out I can have the habit developed already. I’ve thought about buying separate groceries for my family and just for myself because I do work a 40 hour/week job and need all three meals per days. But, is it too much? I look forward to hearing from ya and anyone else who might be able to help!

I can’t believe I found this website. Next Level Diet completely changed the way I look at diets. When I started following their diet plan, I realised that diet isn’t something you should be scared of and it can easily fit in your daily routine.
Have you thought about doing this digitally? It seems like you’re wasting so much paper. Maybe try using Google sheets to create a weekly or monthly meal plan template
Thank you for the recommendation to onceamonthmeals.com. I love to keep a few freezer meals on hand for those days when things get a little crazy, lol. Have you ever heard of MealBoard? It’s a meal planning app. I have been using it for several years now and it really has saved me a lot of time and money. Getting started takes some time because you import all of your favorite recipes from various websites but once you do that its great. You can build a menu for a week, add recipes to eat day, then sync your meal plan to your shopping list. It makes up a shopping list organized into categories, dairy, frozen etc. I usually just go through my freezer and cabinets to see what I have on hand for that’s week list and check them off before I leave for the store.

Way too complicated and time-consuming. I use an app called Any List. It has so many awesome features. From saving and organising recipes and shopping lists to just having lists in general. It has seamless sync across devices. The time spent setting up a binder would be the same as watching a few videos on how to use the app, after that you will never use a pen and paper ever again. It’s all in your pocket all the time. It also links to Alexa so I just open my fridge and cupboards and tell her what to add to my shopping list.
I don’t know what that white knife is but YOU NEED TO SHARPEN IT! You shouldn’t have to struggle so much to cut.

I’ve lost two stone doing portion control and an intermittent fasting routine, but want to change what I do, so have been spending hours looking for something new to do and I am going to try our your programs, although I have horrendous knees (can’t do running, hopping, skipping, jumping or twisting it’s agony for me). Instead of buying kcups, which is expensive and don’t biodegrade in landfills, get a reusable coffee pod. Then you can buy coffee grounds or freshly grind your own beans. Cheaper, environmentally friendly, better coffee at home. The work is worth it. Husband is pushing me to just get kcups but I cant handle the price and the kcups in the trash, my mom uses her used kcups for growing seedlings and the used grounds for her compost but I’m not a gardener.
The precooked food is a good ides of course, however, when the food is plated for consumption, each dish seems a bit dry to me. Sorry.

Contrary to a lot of people, I find baking to be more stressful than cooking. It takes longer, I have to pre-heat it to a certain temperature, and I have to be more careful that I don’t overcook it or risk burning something more easily.

Everything looks amazing, delicious, and very healthy for weight loss. The only foods I saw that I would stay away from are: bread (too high in carbs), peanut and almond butters (too many calories for weight loss), and pasta (for the previous reasons).

Your meal prep is literally so similar to mine! I do a huge batch of steam veggies, stir fry kale and chickpeas, roast pumpkin, quinoa and pasta

I also pack all my snacks such as rice cakes with nut buttersI butter a whole stack for the week
And I wash and package all my fruit snacks too

I know I struggle with eating well during the semester because I usually am spending all day on campus and just end up buying food. TIP: meal prep your pasta only for the next day and coat it with olive oil so it won’t stick together and won’t dry out.
Do you reheat the dinner meals or do you eat them cold? Reason being, i was told never to reheat rice or chicken. I do wounder how safe meal prep foods are, i see a lot of them but never really know how people make them safe to eat. On the Food Standards Agency website mention reheating these foods can increase the chances of you suffering from food poisoning, and i don’t want that. So how do you avoid it?

Huh. I make quinoa all the time and never rinse it, I’ve never had an issue with it tasting bitter. Before I cook it in water, I always toast it (dry) in the pan with a small bit of olive oil until it starts popping like popcorn it gives a lovely nutty flavor.
I understand this is an old video. I love all your recipes, however, I don’t know how you are counting 400 calories for that breakfast, it’s so much more! 1/4 cup of oatmeal is 150 calories, so if you use a whole cup you are way beyond. Add a teaspoon of nut butter and that’s 90 calories, a tsp of coconut oil is 130 calories and a banana is at least 90 to 110 calories. It’s a gross underestimation if you are trying to create a caloric deficit. If I’m wrong somehow, I’d love to know because these are some delicious recipes

We just vacuum seal our meals in Mason Jars and they stay good for 2 weeks to a month in the fridge so I don’t really have to do this every week. I have a meal plan for once a month that I do and a small inventory list for our meats that are Vaccum sealed and freezed (I do this about 2-3 times a year) as well as an inventory for some other things like Baking Soda, oils, etc. I set aside one day out of the month to prep/Cook our meals and they’re all ready to be warmed up whenever we’re hungry. We also don’t eat scheduled meals (only when we’re hungry) so no need for me to have a “menu”. I just pick what looks good to eat in that Mason Jar

Just run the amount of cold pasta u want under hot tap water while it flows out thru a colander.

I don’t think this kind of diet is practical for me. I’d rather fill more my lunch and dinner and eat something lighter as a breakfast and snack.
I hate the raw vegetables used in this video. I prefer different coloured vegetables such as bell peppers, onions, red cabbage, basil, eggplant, etc… I don’t hate carrot but I wouldn’t eat it raw unless it’s grated or sliced in very small circles or squares, or otherwise I boil it but I still don’t find it delicious. And with regards to the sweet potato, I really don’t find appealing leaving the skin on, so I’d rather have a normal grilled/baked potato with no skin and some flavoured herbs on it like rosemary or something of the sort.
This is the problem with diets. Many people make them unappealing and it doesn’t motivate me to lose weight AT ALL!!!!

Ever since then, I have dropped FIFTEEN lbs of my weight and have developed my body, a significantly better than going to a gym. I feel as if it has provided me more energy..

Ugh. A healthy life. I’ve always wanted that. I’m still growing up in a house where we go out to eat almost every day, and dont really cook. I’m also a very picky person who’s grown up eating unhealthy, fatty foods, my taste buds are fricked up. My mom is a good cook, but never shows me how. I’m 15 now, and I’m planning on getting a ranch or a farm of sorts and growing my own food. Also, keeping things in glass jars is very satisfying for me but we dont do that at home. I’ll need to get used to lots of exercise. I’m in marching band, unwillingly, but its exercise but it’s not fun. I wanna find something I enjoy. Which is most likely swimming. I have a very athletic looking body, I look healthy dispite the fact that I’m about 20lbs underweight, I skip breakfast, cause it makes me feel sick, I eat a bit for lunch, but my main meal is dinner. I skip dinner often cause I’ve been going to the same places since I was 3, it’s gotten to the point where I don’t like the food. I’ll walk home if we go there. I have small appetite on my own but I have ADHD and take a medication that has a lot of side affects, but the only one that seems to affect me is loss of appetite. So. Tiny tiny appetite. I also drink maybe a glass of water a day. Liquids fill me up like food does, which apparently isnt normal, but I mostly drink milk. I found out that I like white tea, but my dad only likes black tea and says white tea is expensive so he wont get any. I do like the really light teas you get in those family Chinese places but I’ve never found out exactly what kind of tea it was. Some sort of green tea I think. Anyway, I wanna get to a normal, healthy weight and be as fit as I look, and eat normally. I wont be able to start until I move out cause I’m not exactly allowed to leave the house. The only exercise we get is from pe, or in my case, marching band. My mom is like, 300lbs or so and dad has a huge stomach. So our laziness comes from that. We do a lot of the housework, but that’s not exercise. My brother is completely fine with living a lazy life, and often tries to get me to do stuff for him. He expects people to do things for him dispite growing up having to teach ourselves things. Well, I taught him to use a fork, knife and spoon when I was 5. Hes 17 now and still cant do things properly. Hes probably overweight but doesn’t really look like it, hes 6’2 and still growing so the fat is pretty spread out. Anyway. Starting a healthy life. Does anyone know any tips or tricks or advice for the future?

Oatmeal can make me gain weight? I don’t know..but when i started eating oatmeal i had the idea that my legs are bigger, but my lbs remained the same. Maybe I was more bloated at the time. Hey. I really like your videos and I really love the way how you plan the foods. Unfortunately couple days ago I find out about my Hashimoto disease and some of inflammation and allergy food. So it will e great if you make some recipes for allergy free. Like Gluten,dairy,eggs,soy,and corn. If any one interesting on Allergy free please hit the like so she can see it quickly as possible. Is so frustrated to have all these allergies and everyday you have to think what to eat

The chicken and rice recipe was super good! Just made it, with chicken breast and canned Italian diced tomatoes. Really easy and satisfying.
