Thank you so much for watching and sharing this video! What would you like to know more about Reishi? I’ll be posting a longer more scientific video soon and will include your questions. Also make sure to enter the giveaway! Much love. xo
Ironic thing is Host defense and Four Sigmatic’s product are usually made of mycelium with grains and starch, rather than actual fruiting body of the mushroom.
Great tips! Thank you very much! Doing my tesis about anti-aging nutrition and came through Reishi. Have never tried my self but I will soon for sure
Love this video and your work.Im a new subscriber and was glad to come across this video. It was so helpful.
thank you so much for this video and I believe in you, is a most wonderful spirit, I would like to know if reishi can help with asma and lung health or what other natural medicines are out there, because I live in an area constantly being sprayed with pesticides, yakama reservation, I wish that we could pass laws protecting our natural medicine’s and a natural health insurance for the U.S. ♥️God bless America and all of the good people in this world
I took My Community extract from host defense a mix of 17 mushrooms, it s amazing, there is Reishi, chaga, lion s mane Cordyceps, shitakee…
It increases your immunity
Love love love!!! I’ve heard about Reishi mushrooms a few years ago being good for ones health however; I didn’t know exactly what the benefits were to taking this mushroom. Thank you foe sharing your knowledge! Btw..looking stunning♥
I found out a few months ago I got non hodgkin’s lymphoma low grade so I’m glad I found about this mushroom. I just ordered 2 bottles of the host defense. I got nothing to lose but my life!!!
Lacey, I see Host Defense has the liquid and and capsules. Have you tried the capsules? Thanks!
Thanks for the video about Reishi. Apparently Reishi has a double direction effect on the immune system. This means that if the immune system is depressed, Reishi raises it. If the immune system is hyper as in autoimmune diseases, it helps bring it down for balance. My fave benefit is that it seems to have a beneficial effect on one’s shen, or spirit it seems to promote a sort of centered calmness and balanced emotions.:-)
Really informative. My chaga mushroom powder arrived this week.
Please Consider making Jun Honey Kombucha with Chaga, Reishi, Lions Mane,…
Personally i also add Dulse Seaweed And Matcha Green tea…
You need microelements otherwise the chaga wont work. You have to add sea salt. The chaga is an immune modulator. It helps the body turn minerals from sea salt into hormones that carry out functions. It is active in skin and endothelium. It also prevents lactic acid build up in muscles boosting endurance. But if the body is mineral deficient it can cause irritation. Trace mineral gummies should work. Or just add some minerals into chaga tea. Celtic sea salt is a good source or minerals.
i didnt know about this reishi i got a energy shot drink at my local grocery store and i saw it contained this and then decided to google and it brought me here to your video, thankful you are beautiful by the way thanks for info

Hi Lacey!! Wow once again such an informative video… I looked up some of the scientific evidence behind Reishi and I can’t believe I’ve never heard of it before! Unfortunately, I have many people in my life fighting cancer, one of those people being my Dad. I am definitely sharing your videos with my parents. You are incredibly inspiring. Thank you so much xo #snapfam
Lacey, I seriously just love you and all you represent and share. You have the gentlest presence and calming energy. I’m just so grateful to have found you. I have been on a search for my true passion in life and moreso over the last year and I have still yet to narrow it down completely, but I do know my true passion is holistic health and increasing & sharing my knowledge with those I love and beyond to help us all live the longest, happiest & healthiest lives possible! Time with those I love is what matters most to me and any way I can increase that time for those around me and the world around me, is where my heart and passion lies. I love that I can relate to you and learn so much from you. I truly look forward to your snaps and Sundays for Skincare Sunday and now these videos! Thank you so much for taking the time to share all your knowledge. You’ve truly inspired me to fulfill my dreams and follow my heart and passion of holistic health. I’m so very excited to buy this and begin adding this to my daily regimen in addition to sharing it with those I love. I’m sending you a huge virtual hug. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed bc there are so many things I want to add to my life to enhance my health and I get overwhelmed bc I don’t know exactly how to prioritize everything that can be most cost effective where i can budget and buy each or whichever in small increments where my hubby doesn’t notice a dent in our bank account lol. I’m definitely beginning with this and bone broth for sure! I also have begun juicing and adding greens powder into my diet as well in addition to other recommendations you have given and that I have learned. If you could possibly make a video eventually on your top 10 nutritional additions/changes like overall, or something along those lines, that would be amazing! I hope I’m explaining they way I am intending to. Lol. Anyway, thanks so much again Lacey! Sending you love
Love your channel!! What lifestyle and nutrition tips would you recommend for athletes looking to become stronger?
Lacey! can you snap or youtube your go to travel products for long flights? I remember you showing us something you take to fight jet lag via snapchat awhile ago… Thanks!!!!!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge about Reishi. It’s beautiful to learn new ways to improve health and beauty x
This is definitely something I will be doing more research, as cancer has hit my grandparents, my mom, and many many other people in my family. I personally have already had a scare with lumps in my breast, in my early 20s. Thank God they were benign. It just brought more awareness that cancer doesn’t care about age, sex, race, etc. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us and spreading natural ways to help our bodies.
Hi Lacey. Sending loads of love your way <3... Thank you so much for this lovely video and content as always. As I mentioned to you yesterday on snap, my mum is currently dealing with terminal bowel cancer. She is constantly moving from chemo to chemo hair growing then falling out. It's very very sad. I have never come across this before so thank you. I will certainly be looking in to it. My mum has lots of other amazing natural supplements too which I can share with you:)... you're amazing... the world needs more people like you #snapfam xxx
Thanks for sharing the links to these mushroom products. It’s hard to know which products are quality, when looking for them on your own. I know everything you share, is good quality!
Hi lacey I hope this message reaches you. I don’t have any other social media accounts where I could private message you sorry. Have you ever heard of Dr Rhonda Patrick? She’s a scientist who specialises in nutrition health, brain, cancer and aging and uses a very holistic approach. Listening to your videos made me think of her as you talk about very similar things. I think you would love hearing her. She explains the science so well and makes it super easy to digest. She has an Instagram page ( really interesting to browse through) and her own podcast. I got hooked listening to her on the Joe Rogan podcast, she has been on a few times and honestly if you get a chance I really recommend a listen its fascinating the knowledge she has! A warning though, each podcast is 3 hours long so if you don’t have that much time at least a flick through her Instagram should show you what she’s all about.
Thank you for your videos!
Laura xoxo
Excellent video Adam…just found 10 maitake mushrooms yesterday:) Also I appreciate the advice about the health properties, specifically for diabetics. This can be utilized by people I know.
I drink chaga mushroom powder (brewed) with my shilajit in the morning as coffee replacement and reishi mushroom powder tea before bedtime. Both are delicious but water is the best tasting beverage and a must have for all life on earth. Be kind and it will be fine….much love to all✌
I’d like to see a video on how to best ingest Reishi mushrooms. Thanks! ☺️
Some how I stumbled onto your channel and specifically this video today. This may sound crazy but I’ve been getting strange signs and vibes causing me to be concerned about having or getting cancer….idk it’s hard to explain…maybe it’s me being paranoid because I used to smoke. Thank God I haven’t in years and I can’t even believe that I used to smoke.
Anyway, The first thing I am going to do, is order this! I’m so grateful to have come across your video! I pray I don’t ever get cancer and I am so sorry for the losses you have endured from it! I can’t wait to subscribe and learn from you from today on!! Thank you and God Bless Melissa

Thank you Lacey! I have never heard of this before. I’m surprised yet not at the same time that naturally based products assist the body. I going to do some research and see if this will help me! Sending lots of love to you and your friends who are currently battling cancer. I’m so sorry and I hope they all come through it. I really do ❤️
Father Yahweh has provided for us immensely.
Much love from the Foothills of NC, Adam! Thanks for sharing your wonderful knowledge.

I love your video! It’s great!! Thank you so much. I’m sorry for your struggles with people fighting cancer. What’s the best way that you recommend I ingest Reishi mushrooms?
People do know about Reishi Mushroom, they just don’t care about it when they are healthy
Love how informative your videos are. Love hearing about anti aging benefits
I had a cat that in her 16th year she began having seizures. I began giving her tea I made from chaga and she lived 14 months longer free of seizures and free of pain.
Aww. Lacey. Thank you so much for sharing and informing us of this and being vulnerable. You are such a genuine person and I always look forward to what you have to say.
Thank you Lacey, I love how passionate you are about your own health as well as the health of others. I’m currently studying to be a doctor and am always open to hearing and trying things from different cultures #snapfam
Hi Lacey! Great information, in a perfect amount of time to keep my attention LOL. For your upcoming videos I would enjoy gaining more insight on beauty items and maybe certain ingredients I should be looking for when shopping for my face masks, make-up, and just moisturizers/serums. Also, definitely the continuance of your wealth of knowledge on health and wellness holistically. I much enjoy watching you here and on Snapchat. Wish you the best!
P.S. skincare Sunday is one of my faves!! Keeps me accountable and conscious about self-care

Thanks so much for uploading this and speaking of a difficult subject. Unfortunately we are all or will all be touched by cancer, close or far from home. Food is such an important factor (as is the rest of our environment) in our wellness and on our health issues. I didn’t know about Reishi at all and I must say I’m pleasantly surprised that you mentioned pubmed, it’s such a wonderful resource of information! How did you learn about Reishi if I may ask?
I always said I would embrace getting older. But knowing there are safe ways to help me stay looking ‘young’ is fantastic. I also deal with anxiety on a weekly basis.. If not daily. I refuse to get on medication for it. The side effects make it so not worth any minimal benefit it may provide. I am excited to look more into Reishi. Thank you thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing this powerful video! I have never heard of this before. Having Crohn’s Disease, I am given IV infusions to help control my systems and inflammation. Every shot I get increases my cancer risk by 3%!! I sometimes get this shot monthly! I am going to get on this right away! Thanks again for sharing your knowledge! I appreciate you! ❤ #snapfam
I never heard of Reishi before! Cancer runs in my family. Big time! So I’ll definitely check out that website for more information. Thank you for sharing! I don’t know if I can have have this now because I’m pregnant (since it’s natural I don’t see why not but I’m not a doctor). But I’ll definitely have to keep this in mind in the future! Thanks again!
Got me ready eyed just listening to you. I really hope more doctors open up and realize that research doesn’t lie. They should know this but unfortunately many of them are not open to it. Thanks once again for a great video. Going to see where I could find this tea
I have been taking chaga tincture that my friend and I have been making using dual extraction for years and I was recently told that it was the only presumed reason that they could find when I was found with colon cancer last year that had not spread at all. My surgeon was from Iran and he said that I was the only person in his career that had colon cancer and it had not spread and was basically dormant or so he said. Thank you so much for your research and sharing
Absolutely LOVE IT!!! Great tips, great insight. I loved learning about the name itself, and the studies done. There’s so much inside of your brain the world could benefit from knowing. Thank you so much for sharing your depth of knowledge!
In southern Indiana I found under a maple tree, between some exposed maple roots, I swear I found hen, but its late may. Weve had 7 days straight of rain. I didnt check the mushroom out like crazy but I was pretty sure thats what it was. Am I crazy? I can take a pic but im sure your very busy. Just wondering. Love your vids man keep it up!
I get a look a like here but it has gills… It’s said to be edible too… OK I will dig it up I mentioned it on one of my videos but not certain which one at the moment
… I saved this one it might be helpful right now and I have some pwd from a friend
I have lots of a Turkey tail look alike. I want to confirm its scientific name. It meets all the attributes of turkey tail except on the underside it is light brown and you don’t see spoors. leather like.
“The universe is so abundant, everything that we need is quite literally all around us”
I am finding many mushrooms in the woods. What’s your e mail address brother? I’m a send you some
Photos
thank you for bringing attention to great medicinal benefits of mushrooms it is often ignored or not known
Thank you keep up the great work I love your videos and I love foraging I’m subscribed and have been binge watching your videos
Hello
Does Chaga really reduce inflammation?
It INCREASES interleukin 6
So it is proinflammation
So i am scared to use this during corona virus
Tocilizumab is a medication used against severe covid cases to BLOCK the receptors of interleukin 6. It is successful with these severe SARS COV 2 cases
So I am hesitant to use a mushroom that INCREASES IL-6.
Reishi mushroom on the other hand will decrease IL-6
I am a physician btw (geriatric medicine).
If they could patent chaga they would do it just to kill it.
Hi Adam.. do you have any infos on how to make tincture of maitake?
Well done. My family gathers this mushroom for decades. North East New Jersey.
Love what you have to say Adam! The universe is abundant:-) I found my first untouched hen of the woods and it was euphoric! Made an omelet today and going to delve into medicine making making with the rest! Happy foraging
Farm a c??? Lol. Farm the universe. Adam ur the best bro. I had some chicken of woods last night sauteed and my back felt awesome today.
I agree Adam. Every food we eat came from nature. And if we get back to those roots and start eating more of what we Americans ignore now because we are so convinced that the food industry is looking out for our health and wouldn’t give us something that would be bad for us. Well it’s time to start Reading the ingredients in all those foods. After reading the ingredients we should wise up and stop letting them poison us.
Get back to nature and some of our health problems would go away.. keep up all the great work on our behalf and keep making those great vids.
By the way I have a very unusual puffball that I can not identify can I send you a pic?
another fantastic video… love the sign off…on my way over to join the community. thanks for the invite
I’m finding maitake and chicken of the woods now. I live near I80 in Illinois.
According to Japanese tv (which is all about science, food, and helping Japan), if you freeze your mushrooms prior to cooking or whatever, the vitamins and minerals contained within the mushroom become easier to extract from the mushroom through digestion (or other means of extraction also im sure). Just cut them up however you like them first, freeze, then pull out whenever you need them.
I pay $4.49 a bunch for farm raised at the local Asian store. However, I like free too.
Well start studies and trials on Monkeys they are the known closest to Humans…
Being from Japan, maitake mushroom is one of my favorites. Thank you for the very informative video
Had some growing in my yard i found yesterday! So blessed with the property i live on! Bringing it inside now.:)
Great video-all of yours are. I went out in the woods today and found 2 huge Maitake mushrooms at the base of this gigantic oak tree. I went home and got my three sons to show them, and they found three more on the other side of the trunk. Amazing! Now to find a way to cook them.
Have you ever made Maitake jerky? It’d delicious! My mom has an abundance of Maitake growing in her yard Sept-Oct.
AMAZING! had to share on my Facebook page! Been busy harvesting the abundance of this beautiful season
I found my first one today in my local park! Slightly different in looks as it have a little more of a brainy look and not so “flaky” but everything else checks out so I’m going for it!
Great channel!!!
Would love to see all your favorite reishi products!! Can you also describe the taste for us? Love all that you stand for and share with us! I have a girlfriend who just beat stage 4 breast cancer (age 33) beat all the odds!.. I am going to share this video with her!
Thank you! So informative! I ran into someone in the woods collecting these and she explained it to me but before I tried it I wanted to make sure it was edible! You have sold me… I will be making soup today.
Nice work!
This is my first year looking for and finding mushrooms thanks to you!! I have found about 30lbs of hen of the woods mushrooms so far this fall. I’m cooking and drying them for the winter. I can / jar my veggies and will be doing the same with theses. I just wanted to say thank you for all your videos and for being so straight forward with identification and making it easier to understand. I’ve become a big fan!! Thanks!!
You’re so passionate about it, I love it! Keep us informed, thanks Adam!
great video. I found my first sheeps head on the LHHT last fall. I wasnt sure or confident but I took a pic and so I left it there.
it’s the start of the season! We are headed out this a.m.
Thanks Adam!
Just started foraging for the edible/medicinal plants three or four years ago, but now I’m looking forward to the fungi thinking they might serve my health better. Great stuff as usual Adam, and I do love the spark you bring to the learning process, and to the table.
Hi can I send you pictures of mushrooms I found in Ms.where I live?
if i only harvest half the head of hen of the woods would the remaining half regrow or would it die
Have you found some yet this year I live in Morgantown wv which is an hour south of Pittsburgh
Thank you for this information, Neurogal! You do a great job explaining to a lay person like myself. Since these things are being retailed now, is there no way the STEM community could support the retail community by crowd sourcing consumer feedback so we could document the human effects of the chaga? Or are clinical trials much too restrictive for a model like this to work?
By the way, someone gave me chaga and wild berry tea as a gift… Yum the best tea I’ve ever had!
I harvested over 200 pounds last year. They grow all around me in Washington Co,PA
I wish this mushroom grew here in North Dakota. If it does, I have yet to find it. I have bought dried Maitake mushrooms and I can attest to its ability to control my A1C. It is also one of the better tasting mushrooms. Once again Adam, this was a great video.
Can’t believe how many times this guy said….. “might have”, “Could have”, “Maybe”, “Might”, in other words, he has no idea if the subject mushroom really has any benefit, and backs up his claims with a lot of ambiguity. Where’s the science?
Good Video Adam. I am going to check for this one. We don’t have a lot of oaks around here, but I do know where there are some red oak. While hunting last week-end I found another clump of what I think might ganoderma lucidum on a maple tree. I didn’t pick them because I didn’t have a camera with me. I hope to return and photograph and harvest one of the two and have it tested.I did come home with 3/4 of a pound of turkey tail though.
What are your views on all the mushroom coffee blends such as Four Sigmatic who have lots of claims?
Hello brother, i would lie to coomunicate with u regarding the medicinal mushrooms. can u please provide me ur email or whatsapp or any other contact details pls?
I appreciate your videos I’m new to the wild edibles I’m trying to reconnect with my native American side of my heritage I feel like you’re helping with it I also bought a book on northeast edibles I’m in CONNECTICUT IF you ever visit look me up if be uber glad to to foraging with you and learning from you
I found my first two at same oak. do they come up in same area i look the ridge two times for about 2 hours each time and never found any more. was this maybe first time it come up on this ridge? Do you have an email address so pictures if mushrooms and question can be sent to you..thanks for your videos
I’ve no idea what it is, but I found a somewhat similar mushroom last weekend. It does have some distinct differences, though. Gills, the color was a brownish-orange, and, although it was growing in a cluster somewhat like hen, it’s shape was funnel like. It was also growing on, I think, a cut down coniferous tree (no idea what specific tree, it was cut down long ago, I’m just guessing by the texture of it’s bark).
I posted it in a mushroom I.D. group on facebook, but no one was able to help with it.
Thank you for making me want to study mycology in depth.I am a Pharmacist but know little about fungi. You have enlightened me and inspired.
Your video if very informative. A friend introduced me to the maitake mushroom after an early stage breast cancer diagnosis. I have be putting them in my food but would making a tea etc. be a better way to consume it? Am cancer free after a year of two surgeries and radiation treatments. Thank you.
so i found (totally by mistake) what looks like maitake mushrooms but it does have gills i live in southwestern PA can i still eat it?
I’ve never heard of Reishi before. I too have lost close family to cancer. Thank you for sharing this!
I’m so glad to have discovered your channel. Sheep’s Head was the first wild mushroom I ever tasted, and I can say it is truly delicious. My father’s friend enjoyed mushroom hunting and he said that he had the best luck finding Sheep’s Head around oak stumps.
I just discovered your channel and watched about 4 of your videos, really good information and useful to know, especially for proper identification and uses. i have always been interested in this subject and have a reasonable knowledge. i wondered if in your videos you could also mention if whatever mushroom you are talking about grows in the UK. i know we have a lot of them that are the same but sometimes with a different common name.it would save us having to Google every one of them to find out. Your information is accurate and a tip on whether we are likely to have it here would be a great help. You make good videos, interesting, informative and useful. Thank you for sharing what you have learned.
Question. I had four of them growing at the base of my oak tree last year. I was too late to harvest. This year in NJ I have none. Am I too early to see the start?
I so love the explanation my body needs the D2 and I bet I can so much more out of this,my diabetes the inflammation of my joints! I will look in the woods behind my home in Tennessee and let you know how eating and taking care of my body goes, thank you,L.Napier
What a great channel. You’re super knowledgeable. I love the balance between science and mysticism being presented here.
Think I found some in SE Wisconsin, thought it was bad chicken of the woods from the color. It wasn’t a cluster yet but a small single “cap” maybe cause early in season. Thanks for the info!!
does cooking it in a quick stir fry keep the medicinal benefits? I cook this mushroom a lot actually I didn’t know it was so powerful.
I always wondered why you used these products, so thank you for educating me! I tried to find some in my local health food shop but unfortunately couldn’t. Your passion in wanting to help through sharing information with others is beautiful! You’re amazing! Thank you. (snapfam)
hello Adam i watch your videos on how to identify mushrooms, but I found one that I think is eatable, but I’m not sure all i know if the bugs are in it must be safe to eat? i found It on a Dead log,can you please help me? I can send you a picture of it, thank you very much for your time and help Bruce Benton
Adam you refer to your personal health program. or something similar in a number of your videos. How did you develop the program based on the consumption of wild mushrooms and fungus? I think it took a brush with my own death, to cause me to realize over time, that all we need to be healthy and become healthy is growing around us. We may be years apart but our philosophy is the same. You are ahead of me I am catching up but your help and enthusiasm is pushing me along
Please help! I have this mushroom in my yard and it grew back but this time bigger and faster than ever! Now I’m obsess with it but I’m worried that it’s not safe!!!
Had our first one last year and made a great soup out of it!! Yummmm!
Adam, excellent video. I too admire your passion and the way you choose to feed your body. Can’t wait to see what you have to say about the great one, the Morel.
These are the best, most informative videos I’ve seen on YouTube about mushrooms. You are so passionate and knowledgeable about this topic that it’s hard to stop watching. I always think I will get bored but I never do, and always watch until the very end!
i love your passion man. the Universe is awesome hey:) also fungi too!:)
I wish I could press the like button more than once. 😉 Dry year, I found less Maitake than usual, I am so hungry for it…I found a good one, ate some, tinctured a little. I hope I can find more this season. I crave it so much…mommy needs her medicine.
I found three Hen of the Woods right in my front yard. Turns out there are old oak stumps just under the surface of the ground.
It’s been such a pleasure watching your journey. All the best to you and Keith.
Why did l arrive at your page? Ordered this product and it came yesterday. Found it whilst researching what to use to boost my immune system, in the wake of this C-19. Drank half a teaspoon just once and l cannot begin to explain the strength, calmness, alertness and physical motivation l experienced. Still on my treadmill after 2hrs now and still going, so thought, let me research this product on U-Tube and, here l am. IT DOES WORK. Anyone telling you it does not work is either a Medical Dr whose brain is so entwined with pharma meds only and just want you to stick with nothing but pharma meds or the pharma bosses themselves who want to enslave you into living your life away from the natural herbs that God gave Us and from which these companies got their synthetic chemicals and products. Just take it in small proportion and you will be perfectly fine. That is not to say everyone reacts well to everything. It’s common sense. Not everyone can take antibiotics. Not everyone can drink milk, but if you’re sure you’ll have no issues, go for it. You talked about one woman who overdosed on it and had kidney issues. Why wouldn’t she? Overdose on ordinary water or ordinary paracetamol and you will definitely land in the Hosp. That is not to say the herbs do not work or are poisonous. You overdose on anything, you’ll be in for it, so U-tuber, apply commonsense, do your research better next time and stop all these deception and false theories.
Hi new fr from Australia… Im here now knocking at your door hope you will open. And I’ll do the same thanks
“Only 10% of positive direct-study results in mice end with similar results in humans” wow, very important statistic there.
Thank You. as much as I want & hope natural supplements to work? I also want Real Science behind them. unfortunately as you say they can’t make $MONEY$ from cures:-(
Im pretty sure russian doctors/scientist have studied chaga mushroom on people…that scientific literature would be russian so yea kinda hard to tell lol chaga thrives in northern cold climates so russia has a long history studying this herb.
Just started taking Reishi powder thank you for the information you are giving about this mushroom.
And we will never seen any significant large scale human trials with Chaga because there is no funding for it. And the pharmaceutical industry would try to discourage NIH to fund any such study in Chaga. Big Pharma doesn’t need any competition with such a promising drug/mushroom cutting into their profits. And the band played on..
Great video! I am definitely interested in more videos on research about different herbal supplements like this. Since science is not my industry, I have a hard time with the academic resources, though I do try. So videos like this are very helpful
Great Video! Reishi is a miracle mushroom. It gives me such a sense of peace and focus. I’m happy to know it also fights cancer. I have a close friend who died from brain cancer, and I have three more relatives who have brain tumors. I think it has to do with the cell phones and wifi.
Excellent video! Thank you for sharing! Now TLC makes Chaga in capsule form (which you can also open and make tea with). It’s great for you to take daily as a capsule or add honey to your tea. Link @ https://retail.totallifechanges.com/ashleethebossbabe/shopping/itemdetails?itemCode=199 This is a 3 Month Supply!!
Its really unfortunate that there is no human clinical trial. I wonder how many people are being robbed without this important information.
Headed to the U.P this weekend to hopefully find some beautiful birch trees bearing chaga goodness. Thanks for the knowledge!
I live in Norway, and we have a lot of chaga growing on the trees outside from where I live. I just became aware of this mushroom today and will be harvesting everything I can starting tomorrow.

Really enjoy this valuable objective information regarding supplements. Please make more similar videos, especially regarding supplements that enhance brain health.
This is an awesome video! How often should I ingest shaga if I wanted to start incorporating it into my diet?
I really like the way you break down info, you cover all angles and make it easy to follow. You gained a subscriber ❤️

or even a sixth? could I find a sixth mister? could I? COULD I?
Would just one cup a day of a brewer Chaga cause the issue of high oxalates or was that lady taking some type of stronger extract?

“Doctors operate on 10 to 20 years old information” Dr Steven Gundry… Ideas you said the magic words medical industry cannot patent this so that’s why they don’t research it also it is way too powerful in many ways for example preventing Corona. idiot video…………..look here……… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SD8GRQTkrE
Love how you prep it good enjoy watching notification gang the bell is on thumbs up
Bullshit always from a doc…. hating on natural medicine as of their man made shit is better smh
They wont perform trials because if it works they wont make any money on it big pharma wont allow it
This is a very honest review of the evidence that exists in regards to the benefits of consuming chaga mushrooms. There is anecdotal accounts popping up on Twitter of people using chaga mushrooms along with high doses of vitamin C to fight off SARS-COV 2. The easiest way to follow the reports as they come in is to search #chaga_gangsta.
I have been brewing 1 tbls of raw powdered chaga into a half gallon of water and have been limiting my consumption to an 8 oz cup a day to harden my immune system against this virus.
I use to get some minor eczema flare ups under my beard. As long as I was shaving all the time and applying moisturizer it was able to be controlled. However, since I’ve been taking Chaga…the flare ups have gone away and I can grow my beard again! Which my wife loves by the way:)
I used chaga during a shingles attack and never got blisters or to the pain part just swelling and itching and it went away…..chaga is a gift from God
Love your video on Chaga mushroom. I’m a new subscriber. Thanks for your great work.
Thank you so much. This is exactly the kind of information that I was looking for. It’s unfortunate that the research is so limited, but knowing what research has been done, where it points, and the risks to watch out for is huge.
5:45 healthy free food can’t be patented. Anyone can and should consume healthy food. No more Mc Donald’s
Love your channel!! Thanks for sharing! I think that I like “hen of the woods”, AKA: Maitake mushrooms fried better than Morel’s! Do you have “Turkey Tail” mushrooms where you live? I harvested 50lbs last weekend that will dry until the end of December and then made into tincture. I also dehydrate Maitake and make tincture out of them.: -)
Stop looking away when your talking please. Look at the camera. Or script.
I find your comments distracting. Chaga is food. Healthy food. The medicinal compound of Chaga are well documented, all of which show benefits and effects on the body, the same reason you probably eat blueberries. I am a human trial, taking it for the autoimmune benefits as I suffer from psoriasis. In 4 weeks I am showing significant improvement in the itching and a visible improvement in the plaques.
I cant dispute 1500 years of human use in area of Russia where people live well past 100 yrs. Russian medical/pharam industry PRESCRIBES chaga to cancer patients on chemo and radiation because of compounds in Chagas have the ability to support the immune system naturally during the stress of treatment. Researcher Paul Stamets information is where u need to look on YouTube.
HARD EVIDENCE is a 6,000 years of successful use in Siberia. Chaga grows in COLDER regions (yes) but is it also only found in DRY CLIMATES, not Birch Trees in damp areas.
Using one ounce (12 cups of tea) for 2-4 days will END most Bacteria Colds. This I have shown OVER AND OVER in hundreds of people I either sold it to, or gave it to, over the years. I have never scene an exception. However, this is primarily a great ANTIBACTERIAL “cold” solution. You can happily ignore the lack of scientific evidence on this. I have almost 2 decades of experience in (real) ALCHEMY as well as what I call Paleo-Pharma medicines. CHAGA SIMPLY WORKS!! BUT BEWARE BELOW! LEAVE IN THE TRITURPENES!
Also, this is important…and I say this from over a decade of regular use. The MOST important comment I will make is that you should NOT REMOVE the Sclera! These TRITURPENES mediate Chaga’s effects on the immune system. If you remove this, it will make your tea TASTE better, but using tea like this for some time (1-2 years depending upon use and your sensitivity to allergens,) may result in PERMANENT IMMUNE SYSTEM OVERREACTION which can leave some antigen sensitive individuals with Cross-Reactions, resulting in URTICARIA!
If you are worried about KIDNEY STONES than make sure you take 500-600mg of Magnesium, most transdermally. SIMPLE.
Enjoyed the info AND the outro music, was reminiscent of a Tarantino film lol!
The only thing I can harvest is seaweed…..wanna trade for some of those mushrooms?
I brewed a Chaga mushroom tea… powder, boiled for 10 minutes… drank two cups daily for 2 days… had some serious stomach problems… might be unrelated… but…??
@NeurogalMD at the 7:20 mark, how often did the woman have 4-5 tsp? Every day? Every week?
Side-note: super glad to watch your videos on this, cordyceps and lion’s mane!
I’m gonna be ‘that guy’ would you consider posting a video of your findings/thoughts of psilocybe mushrooms?
Intelligent woman. Her explanation of the difference between lack of evidence and “evidence of lack” is a great disclaimer that pharma won’t recognize….and her explanation of why pharma doesn’t do studiesthat the corrupt “for profit” American pharmaceutical industry not being able to own it (just as they’ve blocked the legalization of not only cannabis but hemp for CBD for years). Without going on longer… great video. Thanks.
High oxalates? That’s news I didn’t want to hear. But….just like turmeric is high in oxalates, curcumin is not, due to the process of extraction. So…what if one would take a chaga extract, would that either lower or eliminate the oxalates, or would they carry through the extraction?
Ha, ha, you needed to mention that Hawaii is beautiful? Who is your audience, they could use some chaga!
Just wanted to say thank you for pushing for the old ways of healing. Upon the Mother there are plants that can heal us. Main thing is that we as humans have to harvest wisely. Too much of the Earth is being destroyed daily. Blessings upon you and thank you for the videos that you make.
Love this video! Had no idea of these benefits and will definitely look into getting some. Good job on being so concise and really emphasising the tips, you’re passion really shows. I look forward to more in depth info too! #snapfam
Interesting. I have been taking about 60 drops per day Or 1/2 teaspoon 5 days a week. Then I back off for two weeks and then back on.
I have taking Chaga for over 8 years now,Maybe longer. And I never get a cold. Actually I think it’s more like 10 years and flu /colds free. Before I took the Chaga I had colds every year. Let’s not get off the subject of Chaga, but washing your hands a lot will help with colds.
I had Hodgkins 20 years ago and started Taking Chaga on and off for years now.
I feel like a lab mouse.
Big pharmaceutical companies don’t want to find a cure.. NO MONEY IN A CURE.
Magic Johnson had Ads back in the day and he’s still alive. We have a cure for everything nowadays. It’s all about big money and power.
Don’t kid yourselves
You cannot patent a mushroom therefore a lack of clinical studies funded by Big Pharma. It has been used for thousands of years by eastern cultures. There is ancestral wisdom to support the efficacy of medicinal mushrooms just not the “science” driven by those seeking to profit from selling medicine.
This reminds me of some stupid news article that was going around discussing that ‘flossing’ doesn’t work cus there was no clinical evidence to support it etc!… ahhh utter silliness
Good video all I can say is iv been drinking it for a year. Before that I’d get sines infection then bronchitis every winter. Last winter was the first time I hadn’t gotten sick. Also I have high blood pressure that was 148 now if stays arond 133 to 124 with out meds only advise I can give is if you are using it make your doctor look it up otherwise they’ll just blow it off as a crack pot remedy.
“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food!” I wonder when the majority of modern Western society will actually start believing that natural remedies are extremely efficient and don’t at the same time damage the human body…great video thank you!
Good warnings at the end, especially about kidney stones well balanced!
I want to start using chaga via tea and will try to post results here.
It looks like an organization like NCCIH would be the one to do clinical studies on something like chaga.
Crap sandwich….I get kidney stones every few years…good to know that Chaga can exacerbate kidney stones….
Here’s someone who can’t afford to make any radical claims. ^^
indigenous peoples in canada used this also for thousands of years just because its not written down for facts
I found one today about the size of a volley ball. Your video really helped in identifying this mushroom. Thanks
Thank you for your video. It was quite informative and done in a logical, rational manner that I enjoy, and it very helpful.
I’m always looking to add foods into my diet that have longevity/cancer-fighting properties. Thank you for the tip, Lacey!
The reason that there are no human clinical trials is that there is no money incentive for the ‘cancer industry’ to conduct them.
The reason pharmaceutical companies exist is to destroy the human immune system and make a profit from this.
My experience with chaga tea… I was living in close quarters with 22 strangers in one house in the snowy winder… sharing rooms, bathrooms, and eating every meal together.. sharing seats, etc. I was drinking chaga tea twice a day every day because i loved the flavor and I knew it boosted the immune system. A flu started to spread thoughout the house and after a week I was the ONLY PERSON who never got the sickness. I attributed this to my chaga tea. Now it is my favorite medicinal mushroom.
Wow Lacey! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us always. This is going to be very helpful for my family and I. Bless your gratified soul ♥️
I think that there is a danger in equating “scientific evidence” with “evidence” in general, because there is a lot of wisdom in doing what worked for our ancestors and believing that because they did it so much for so many centuries, based on how their bodies reacted to the mushrooms, not knowing anything about them at first that might have given them a placebo, that that means there is a high likelihood that there is some objective benefit from it. In short, because there is no scientific evidence to prove that it works does not mean that there is no evidence to suggest that it works, and I think that in our semantics of how we use the terms “evidence” and “scientific evidence”, there is danger of confusion and of losing the ancient knowledge that’s been passed down to us. I think that there needs to be a huge movement to study more mushrooms in the lab with human trials and I appreciate videos like this that show just how ignorant we are in the science surrounding these substances. Thank you for making this, and I hope it spurs more research into this and other important natural remedies
where does she get her mice to evidence only 10%, not buying that mice are 98% like humans, very little difference between mammals
Thank you for this very useful information about Chaga. Just I need to know if would be any problem if I take in Chaga and Omega 3 supplement daily.
I use chaga in my stews for a few reasons.
1It darkens the soup naturally. therefore I have great looking beef stew
2It adds a hint of earth flavour
3I have never felt bad after eating chaga, so Its cool to know that I may be boosting my health from it
Now here is the weird thing. I have not gotten sick for an entire year which is rare for me. (knock on wood it doesnt happen soon) Here is what I have done this year.
1I consume chaga every once in a while
2I do not consume soda anymore but occasionally will have a beer
3I have been taking a probiotic daily
4I have been taking a multivitamin daily
5I have incorporated more fruits into my diet
6I have cut back half on meat and doubled up on vegetables
7I have been eating super hot spicy foods daily. (May not be good for others though)
8I use germx every time I go into my car
9I have been taking cold showers every other day
10I have actually less excersise now then before but not because I want to, but because my free time has gone down.
11I have been consuming cocoa powder mixed with water instead of having chocolate milk
12I have reduced my caffeine intake by not having coffee daily. I am extremely caffeine sensitive and get addicted to it easily. (it doesnt hurt my stomach, but I will get splitting headaches if I miss a day without my caffeine…well I used to till I cut out the majority of coffee.)
This was the best video I have seen on Chaga! I just finished brewing my “Healthy Elixer” which is Chaga, Ginger, Lime, Guayusa, and Thyme made into a tea.
i would like to know what is the best way to ingest this, either raw or tincture or as a powder, im not lucky enough to obtain this from russia
Vegetables are supposed to be good for you too but there’s no ‘medical’ studies being done on that.
Finally, an intelligent person reviewing chaga with an open mind. I forage for, use, and promote the use of chaga, reishi, turkeytail etc. I’m convinced it (chaga) is a super food. I don’t know if it cures cancer or not but I do believe it boosts energy. I mix it with cranberry juice and use it as an energy drink while hiking and foraging. I will also use it after strenuous activity and as a hot beverage in the winter. A little maple sugar and wow, you’ve got a tasty drink. I’ve also made a chaga / chickory blend that has a great taste and tons of health benefits. Available soon. Chaga is fun to find and at my prices $10per lb and re use up to 5-6 times it’s probably cheaper than coffee. That’s for dry conks that you have to bust up further but my point is, get it while you can because it will be harder to find in the future. I sell on ebay with a zillion other people and it’s not expensive. Turkeytail mushrooms run $60 a pound on ebay. Just sayin
My chaga experience:
Went to some shady convenience store and drank it on the subway home and then slept 5 hours and had alot of energy. Woke up and listened to mushroom Forrest music on my phone. The positive energy from the chaga exacerbated my girlfriend to make brealfast. Disclaimer: I’m now acting up
Thank you for always providing so many wonderful tips ❤️ #snapfam
I’ve been watching your teachings all day bro! I’ve learned a ton!! P.S. I subscribed my brother
How do you cook these? Thank you. Love your passion and great information!
No one in modern medical industry will claim any health benefits from food items its against the law a law they created America is corrupt beyond repair.
Hi Neurogal! I cant find you on Twitter any longer. Are you still on Twitter?
You are smart and also a female… you hold great power against the fuck child joke of a “leader” Donny Drumpft
Good morning,
Once again, they look delicious and nutritious too! I really want to grow up to be like you; having the knowledge to live what I call holistically, mind, body and spirit! I wish I had smell a vision;. This is what I call Good Eats!!! And Alton Brown doesn’t have anything on you! Thank you and Many Blessings!❤️
I’ve been working on Chaga with a very big Russian firm, Russians have done clinical tests with Chaga and cured many patients with cancers level 3-4 and even 5 combine with chemio therapy
I’m currently consuming massive amounts of chaga. I will keep you updated.
How do you detox babys from vaccinations? I have twin sons on the way and nobody sees what I see, no matter what I say or do. Not even my wife.
I going to grow some tame ones on the stumps I have in the woods. “Hen of The Woods” plugs aren’t cheap, neither are these mushrooms. Thank you for the educational and instructive videos.
Fantastic video!
Make sure you lightly tap any mushrooms you find near the spot where they were growing to spread the spores.
Well done.
Blessings to you and yours
wow what great mushies…I just made 5 gal mushroom -venison soup…thanks for passing on this info…God bless…doug
You’ve certainly been busy, sister! Very lucky to get rain in summer/fall. There are two little mushrooms to the right. Do you know what they are? Look like shiitake, but, probably not….thank you!
Very cool………..Sort of funny ; the music and years ago, we all use to eat trip mushrooms. LOL Not anymore. Those mushrooms were huge! Thank you for sharing your skills. I like to watch.
YOU GOT ONE GOOD PROGRAM, PLUS YOU MUSIC!!! GOT IT GOING ON TOM PETTY, FOO F I GHTERS I’M 68, STILL ROCKING!!!!
Thank you for the great video and identification of an extraordinary mushroom. My grandfather taught me to use sharp knife to harvest mushrooms at their base, as he said it preserved the root structure for subsequent years growth. Just a thought-blessings to you.
