There’s a very good chance that right now, one of your friends is counting his or her macros. You’ve heard them talk about it during your group runs, and it’s been brought up during your mid-ride muffin stop.

This is so helpful! I just started my undergrad in nutrition and dietetics and this is a great easy way to understand! Cant wait for the other videos!
Great video Becca! I am in my second year of my Human Nutrition major, and you are definitely an inspiration to me x
Duude all good except you told people to consume complex carbs over simple carbs! Fruits are the best simple carbs! Eat them instead of sugary drinks or candy. Whole grains are the best complex carbs! Eat them over white rice, white bread, or white pasta. You should to have both to get the rights vitamins and minerals.
i need to learn so much to be honest I’m so confused with eating
GOD BLESS YOU DOCTOR! u got a talent explaining things for easy grasp. I hope u also have another channel to help med students in understanding complicated concepts like biochem, physio, pharma, etc. God bless

I’m recovering from an orthorexic pattern eating of sorts. I would really appreciate a vague “ballpark” of percentages or ratios of recommended macro for optimal body function.
Good job, just a quick question, should i run/cycle before or after breakfast?
cheers and thanks in advance:)
I am very interested in you nutrition series. Can they be a bit longer with more information:-)
sub to marcg22!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So helpful, thank you so much!! I definitely can make more informed choices now:)
That was super informative! Thank you for taking the time to bring that info to those of us who were totally unaware tbh
I love this! I’m taking a basic nutrition course right now and one of the most important things for me is to be able to apply the concepts that I am learning and this video does that in an amazingly concise way! Your videos are definitely some of my favorite to watch and the most informative.:)
Hi Becca great video and informative. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. Becca,on Aug 24 you did a video on Healthy snacks on the go. You stored cheese in a think it was stripe bag…I asked you what bags were they and where can I get them but you never replied to my comment. If you have time you think you can let me know..please? Have a great day! ☺
Currently in a BIO 101 class and needed someone to help me break it down a little further then the books, this was very helpful, I was hoping you had some visual aids, besides that, its great!
Thank you.
For some reason I can’t process people talking so it would be helpful if you could add visuals? Even if it’s just the occasional word onscreen or a prop
Im bored of calculating calories intake and BMI. NextLevelDiet website does it for FREE. They also provide personalized training plan and diet plan with amazing recipes
So excited for your nutrition videos to be back!!! This is my major and I’m in my second year so I’m v excited!!!
I’ll start study dieteticion in collage in october so your series now is perfect for me! Really helpful
Nobody would believe that he’s a doctor if he didn’t have the stethoscope
Hello Becca! Your video is amazing and so interesting! I have a question which fats are better to put in each meal breakfast lunch dinner for a balance diet?
Love your style!!! Have you considered using pictures, models or even white board notes? I think a little bit of visual aid would go a long ways.
Wow! I’m taking a class and watched about two hours of lecture and was still confused. I found this video and you are very clear and straightforward. Thanks for this.
Unfortunate you didn’t follow through on a series I would’ve subscribed.
When you talked about carbs being broken down in the mouth I was like.. amalase. Teacher told us to put a saltine in our mouth and let it sit and it would start tasting sweet.
I am a 68 mike Nutrition Sec. in the army. I found this video very helpful in my classes so far
What percent of each macro would you recommend in weight loss and in maintenance
This was great! Will you be able to do a breakdown of proteins, plant based vs meat?
As a future dietitian myself, it’s crazy how many people don’t understand simple concepts like this. Great video, people need this stuff!
love this series! Would love to learn more about how these macronutrients relate to diet, how much to consume (40% carbs, etc.), basically breaking down what people mean when they are saying they are counting macros and how those different ratios impact the body.
This video is AMAZING and I am going to love this series. So informative. Thanks Becca
Loved this! Also what lip combo are you wearing? Super cute!
That is awesome that this popped up in my feed today! I am in holistic health school, this semester is nutrition and this week is Macronutrients! Perfect timing .
For someone who’s 116lbs and 5’5”, what kind of ratio of fats, carbs and proteins do you think they need
im a nursing student so when i saw this video I got super excited! can’t wait for more:)
This was so helpful! I want to go to college for nutrition so, this was great info
She said nothing about coconut oil besides a lot of nothing. coconut oil has a high burning point which allows it to not get oxidize while you are cooking with it, therefore reducing the free radicals that most oils produce. She is basically feeding you the basics that most people should know, which is BS. This is what the media does. I am including a link to a video that breaks it down and actually explains why coconut oil isn’t bad for cooking, now putting it in your coffee i don’t know why anyone would do that.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5927JXDVNrE
can you make a video about how can i calculate my percentage of each marco to lose weight
Love this! I’m a nutrition major, so this refresher is always fun to listen to/watch
Becca! Can you do a video about your opinion of being vegan? I’ve watched quite a few documentaries (Forks Over Knives, What the Health, etc.) that have scared me away from eating meat and dairy… Do you think meat and dairy are safe to eat?
I love you Becca. You’re smart, beautiful, knowledgeable and likeable! This is a great video. I now understand the whole “refinement” grain process and why they’re bad and why you hear they’ve had the nutrition sucked out of them. I think so many people chuck around general terms, especially in YouTube without the in depth explanation and science. I find nutrition extremely interesting, but not sure I have the intelligence to deal with the in depth science! Thanks! Please always make videos.
Did you hear about NextLevelDiet? These guys deserve a medal. Their customized training and diet plan helped me change my life. I can’t thank them enough
We’re getting all kinds of great results!
We’d love to have you come along on the journey with us!
http://www.facebook.com/groups/ketochallenge2019/
Loved the basics Thanks for all the wonderful videos ❤️
I eat a plant base diet so my circleprobably has more red haha
Amazing video. I do have a question though. When you said that we require 40-80 grams per day, were you referring to the combination of all three macronutrients or just fat alone?
My teacher sent me here, I turned the volume all the way down.
I’ve just discovered your videos. I’m looking forward to watching the rest of this series.
So outdated and grossly inaccurate to boot, do not follow this advise unless you want heart disease, do the research people, we are on our own in this.
Thanks for this! I did know a lot but there was a lot of extra facts and tips you put in that I’ve never known, YAY! Im definitely excited for the whole series!
I would love to know your opinion on the Keto diet! I’ve heard of a lot of success stories but just want to know how healthy/unhealthy it is. Thanks!
thanks man i hadto watch this for class but ill give you a like:)
That was very interesting and I will continue to learn from your lectures.
I am soooo excited for this series. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, I have learned so much from your channel.:)
Love your channel! Most fitness channels dont give out nearly as much information as you do. Thank you so much!
Our teacher use your video to note taking, which is very good for me

You are so BEAUTIFUL basically I AM from India and I am a WELLNESS PRACTITIONER I have GLOBALLY Service of great organic natural products FOR HEALTH WELLNESS and BEAUTY ANTIAGEING SUPPLEMENTS CONTACT WITH ME 9015175171 WATSAAP
Is that 40 to 80 grams of fat per day needed? What is the daily allowence for the others?
(Editthe video was really good and simply explained, these are my only questions)
Just exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for making it simple and friendly for the nutrition novice.
Very subjective. A lot of what you say is not based in fact and is not true.
I lost 15 pounds in like 2 weeks I cut mostly sugar intake. I was 190 and now 175, and I’m 6’1, didn’t work out, but I do now. This is what I cut:
1. peanut butter and jelly sandwich each night
2. Hot or cold coco from the powder
3. Oatmeal with sugar
4. Coffee with sugar
5. tortilla chips
6. butter
7. Milk twice a day (fat free milk has sugar!)
Lol all common sense changes
But on Sunday’s’ I’ll indulge in anything I want .
I saw on another video that our “main” source of energy should be (healthy) fats… glucose from carbs gets burned first, then our body aims at fat reserves. Could you explain?
I’m currently doing protein and amino acids in home economics in school and we were thought theres 10 essential amino acids for children and 8 for adults, could you by any chance tell me the 9 you said were the essential ones just so i can look into it? thanks
Thanks it’s exactly the infos I was looking for:D the animations really help to understand!
I’m so excited for this series! You deserve millions of subscribers, I’ve been watching you for years and your videos never disappoint!
I love your videos, you make everything so easy to understand, what are your thoughts on intermittent fasting? Thanks for posting!
Fantastic! Your videos are a lot of fun to watch. Like how concise this one is and looking forward to blood sugar levels video. I have low blood sugar that occasionally drops extremely low even though I’m not diabetic. A nutritionist saved my life years ago by teaching me how to eat balanced meals. She said it would benefit everyone to eat the way diabetics eat. I was eating very high carb and was suffering from anxiety, shakiness, weakness, nausea, headaches, blurred vision, and dizziness. The worst part was feeling so out of control from the anxiety. I was amazed at how changing my diet and making sure I had enough protein and fats with each meal relieved and even eliminated my symptoms. I was told to stop having juices and to reduce my sweets intake drastically. I didn’t think it was possible to eat only 1/2 cup of ice cream, but now I usually have only 1/4 cup or less on the occasions when I have sweets. I can’t stand the way my body reacts to having carbs without protein (including fruits and whole grains), so I’m conscious about making good food choices. Your channel will benefit many. Thank you!
i un subscribed and disliked but dw, post notifications are still on
I wish it could just be as simple as working out and eating healthy whenever we do eat but thank you for explaining the nutrition part first
YES GIRL! I’ve been waiting for something like this from you it’s great to hear knowledge from a person who you know is actually educated enough to take their information seriously.
Love your videos so much! Thanks for making nutrition easy to understand. Sending love to you and Rosie from Connecticut ❤️
do you have any guidelines for how many fruits and veggies we should aim for a day? I try to get 5-7 and have them be different colors, I would assume more is better, but what is a good minimum goal?
This guy just stated that whole grain pasta/cereals are better for you than fruits… GTFO man.
Interesting and simple at the same time… It will be useful in my lessons
Love your videos! I was wondering if you could do a video on maintaining good nutrition as a vegetarian? I know you’re not veg, but I loved how educated you are and would love some advice!
This was so interesting, way more informative than my nutrition classes!
there is a problem..I dont understand very well english anda he speaks so fast for me I need it in spanish..
Doctor Rutland another fabulous video but I’ve noticed you rarely answer listeners I would be curious to see your replies as they would be educational
