While Lululemon’s The Reversible (Un) Mat slim profile makes it easy to travel with, it’s also uncomfortable for some yogis and more expensive than many other yoga mats. If you can get past that, though, it’s a nice-looking, durable, antimicrobial option to take with you on your next trip. The Lululemon Reversible (Un) is a thinner version of their original mat design, The Mat. Excellent for traveling, it’s super lightweight but also retains the quality of their signature mat.
It is only 1.5mm thick and weighs two pounds, three ounces, making it super easy to put into a small bag or suitcase. The Reversible Mat by Lululemon is one of our tester’s favorites for good reason. After testing it in many heated Vinyasa classes, it proves to offer excellent traction, comfort, and stability.
The thicker construction provides traction, even when wet, and is quite easy to clean.Yoga Mat Review: Lululemon The Reversible (Un) Mat Lightweight Travel While I love how thin because I can connect with the floor, it means that it just can’t absorb as much sweat, and eventually the sweat starts to pool and the mat suddenly becomes impossibly slippery. For me, the 3mm is perfect as when I’m practicing at a studio or at home I just place the light yoga mat on top of a studio (or cheap mat) for some extra padding.

Hello. I hope your doing well ✨ I just bought the Lululemon Mat in blue 5 mm reversible. I’ve never owned a Lululemon mat before. I have had a Giam mat for many years.. and needed a mat that had more of a cushion and was thicker and easier on my knees and back. So my sister bought this mat and I loved how the mat feels so I bought the same one. This is my second day using the Lululemon Matt and so far I’m happy with it. The mat is very pretty to look at it and is a lot thicker and is definitely easier on my knees. The mat is heavy your right.. but definitely longer and wider then. My Giam mat. When I’m doing Down ward a dog or warrior pose.. the mat stays put. Great stability for sure. All in all so far I’m,Ike this mat. Retails for 80 CDN, I’m. Not sire of this kind of yoga mat I can or even want to take outside.. it’s a little heavy a little luxurious. But I’ll see, take care. ✨
Thank you for making this video!! I have been on the hunt for a new mat and been looking for articles and was having a hard time finding some. This was very helpful.:)
Thank you so much for this!!! Highly informative and professionally made
Thank you for this comparison. I like how you say the lines on the Lifeform mat are distracting. I hadn’t thought of that. And nice to know Lululemons mat is the same fabric but half the price. Great stuff!
Thank you for this update but omg your dogs drive me crazy…hard to concentrate on you
Agree, Maduka EKO 5mm Mat smells so strong even after aired out for 2 weeks. I just returned it and will try the lululemon reversible 5mm.
“in 2019, this list helped me decide for the best yoga mat scafe.shop/tbym2019?fF hope it helps you out too!”
I did watch the whole thing. And it was super helpful. Thank you for being real and down-to-earth and honest. Off to buy my Lulu mat!
How do you make yoga mats LESS STICKY? I just got a new one and it’s soo sticky that I can’t even get into my splits! ( I can when I’m on the floor w/o a Mat but I prefer to use mats for stretching and cushion)
Thank you for this video! Can you also add a yoga props/accessories video to your list? Love all your content!
Are there any mats you recommend for knee comfort? In the poses that require us to be seated on our knees, my knees tend to get uncomfortable.
Was searching for a good honest review, thank you! & if you’re in Cincy, hello fellow Ohioan!
My dog is going crazy by the sounds of your dog in the video!!! Ha ha ha!!!!
You are comparing apples and oranges. The lululemon reversible mat would be more comparable to the Manduka pro.
As someone going between lululemon and manduka, this was so helpful!! Ordering my lulu now:)
Thanks, for the yoga mat review Video. I will checkout Scoria Yoga mats. I have a Liforme Yoga mat, have you tried Liforme yoga mats?
Thanks a lot! Helpful! Very helpful!:)
..
“I dont think anybody will look that video anyway..”:D come on
Thank you for all of your suggestions and opinions! Very helpful and informative:)
My issue is sliding on my mat when I do the downward facing dog pose and a few other positions. I think I need to invest in your favorite mat so I just ordered it. Thank you.
I am just stating to get into yoga and the mat I bought at bought at TJ Maxx isn’t cutting. (I didn’t want to spend too much money in case I’d didn’t stick with it.) I’m 5’ 9” so I need a long mat but I also feel like I need a thicker mat. Rolling onto my back hurts so bad because of the floor. Any suggestions on a good mat for me?
I have hardwood floors in my apartment so think a mat may make it more comfortable to do yoga
Hello, what do you think of lululemon mat now? Did it last for you? Are you slipping on it during hot yoga,
I’m so happy that this video is helping a lot of people on this decision. If anyone wants reviews of other lululemon or similar products, let me know!
Thank you so much for your honest review! This was so helpful and relevant to me.
I ordered a cork one yesterday, good to know that u gave 10/10. I’m starting on yoga and loving it.
Such a cool video, I have some old yoga mats and have been looking to get one. I like the scoria, but Amazon doesn’t provide them. I think I’m going with the manduka. Trying to document my own 30 day morning stretch routine followed by meditation. In search of inner peace. =) Thank you for the post, great work!
I reviewed over 100 articles and videos. The two top yoga mats were Manduka Pro and Lululemon. Most of the reviews and articles are by Yoga Teachers, not Yoga Students. Those videos also tend to be polished professional. In contrast, your video is actually the first authentic Student video, actually great quality and down-to-earth in your bedroom that’s 100% authentic. The Manduka Pro gets 99% A+ reviews but a B+ on the slippery issue. The Lululemon gets 99% A reviews and A on the least-slippery issue. So you think the Lululemon is better than the Manduka Pro?
Thanks for this review, was the first honest one I’ve come across! I’ve been practicing yoga now for 2 months and was starting to get into more challenging positions but the sweatiness of my hands and feet made it so difficult. I’ve been in debate over lulu, liforme and manduka but you’ve now convinced me to get the eco Scotland, thanks so much!
Love your “Yoga + Jesus” sweatshirt! You may like the items at shambhalahealingtools.com🙂
Hi! Does the suede sugarmat provide enough cushion for the knees? Thanks so much for this video!

Hi, thanks for reviewing. Since Lululemon and Liforme aren’t your go to yoga mat, do you consider to give it away? I’m so interested with your Lululemon. Please let me know. I’m new to yoga and I like it, so I’ll be looking for your positive response.
Thanks again for your review anyway
This video is how I found you just now and I’m so glad I did! So much information and you have the broadest range of mats, it’s awesome!
I love the Sugar Mat but the suade scared me so I’m super glad you have this one and talked about it because I love their Prints.
Just received a Manduka X mat after having a Manduka Eco for years and loving it. And now I really want a Scoria lol
I heard people don’t like the Lululemon because it absorbs everything including odors, the chemical smell doesn’t fade fast enough, and the mat shows wear quicker. The grip though…amazing. I’m partial to my Manduka mats (I have 4: pro, pro lite, x, and the rubber eko superlite travel mat you showed) because they last, there’s variety so you can find your perfect mat, and the closed cells make it easier to care for and clean.
Great comparison and review
Thanks a lot for your comparison, i hope u can regularly upload..
just purchased the Scoria mat(before watching this video). Glad it got a good review!
Do you know of any black owned companies that sell good yoga mats?
thank you for this. I’m new to yoga and I’m trying to find the right mat for me. I’m 5’9 and my hands and feet sweat profusely so I’m looking for something with grip and that has thickness. I need cushion. which one would you recommend? I’m not concern about the cost really. If it’s worth it and hit all the points I’ll pay for it. I” even take recommendations on blocks, bolsters, mats etc to start my home practice. Thanks:)
thank you for this video! my absolute fave mat is the manduka eko {i’ve had it for five years and it’s still in very good shape} but i just bought a Liforme because they were having a sale & i’ve always wanted one. it’s in transit to arrive in friday, so we’ll see.
Hello, Cherry! Is it as thin as the 3mm Lululemon Reversible Mat or thinner? Thanks!
I just purchase my Lululemon mat. I am so excited to begin using it and practicing my yoga poses. (Beginner yogi.)
Thanks for the well-formed video!
Thank you Arianna, the mats are great and i will more than likely get the scoria and the manduka map. I am not sure which one as yet. I just threw away a map that was tearing up.
Thsnks gor the honest and perfect video.is manduka pro slippery? For a beginner like me is Lululemon or manduka pro better option?
How did I miss the notification for this one? This is my request! Peace and blessings to you and yours. I knew that one was your fav. Every since I’ve followed you I haven’t seen the others.
This video inspired me to purchase an ecoyoga mat! I found EcoYogaCanada.com which has all the details about the sustainability practices on the faq page and shops to the United States. ALSO they sell the extra long size (8feet aka 244cm long) which I LOVE! They’re only $50 from YogaMatters.com, and a bit more from EcoYogaCanada, but I’m fine with it because of the xL size and because they did such a great job educating me. I was researching Liforme but changed my mind to something more in line with my spirit, all thanks to this video. ☮
Thank you for the reviews! I also love the Manduka Eko Superlite that it’s lightweight and for its grip. I used to put it on top of my Manduka Prolite (which provided me with good cushion but was slippery for me). That being said, I also don’t sweat a lot and researching on which yoga mat to get next. I’m leaning towards the Lululemon and Manduka Eko Terra (which I have not seen much reviews just yet). Have you had experience of trying the latter?
Have you noticed any staining on the Yoloha mat? I’ve heard it stains over time. I’m tempted to buy the original mat but it’s so expensive!
I’d love for you to check out the Flex|Mats it’s sold out 3 times and it’s machine washable. It’s also perfect for hot yoga. https://flexnfly.com/product/blue-rise/
Thank you for this, I have been using my mat for almost 2yrs and looking for a replacement, it’s slowly falling apart lol. I will definitely use this as a guide!

which is the best yoga mat to use on an area rug in my living room?
You should become an ambassador of scoria
https://www.scoriaworld.com/pages/scorias-affiliate-program
you cant wear shoes on a yoga mat, that will break it. If you just want to workout just buy an exercise mat, not a YOGA mat, unless you do yoga. watching this makes my head hurt
thank you for the review! i would like to know in which way do you the find the ecoyoga superior to the lululemon?
Manduka became slippery when there’s sweat on it. I’m going to try lululemon. Thanks for recommending.
This is helpful, thanks for sharing! Can you review this warrior2 yoga mat bag? It looks practical and the design looks cool https://thewarrior2.com/product/yoga-mat-bag-carrier-sling-backpack-purple/
have you tried the Liforme mats? I slip a lot because I sweat too much (more than most) and I slip. It’s almost like I am in a hot yoga class every time I practice. I hear Liforme has a great grip but I am stuck between, Jade, Liforme, and Manduka Eko.
I’ve done about 60 hot yoga classes on the Reversible Mat and I love it! I do use a towel when lying down on it and wipe it off after every class. It is still super gripy and the smell has faded drastically. I really enjoy the mat and I agree about the reviews.:)
Amazing! Thanks for sharing this video. I got my favorite mat the ‘5mm Eco-Friendly TPE Landscape Print Yoga Mat’ from here https://myyogazone.yoga/collections/accessories/products/5mm-eco-friendly-tpe-landscape-print-yoga-mat
