it’s at 2:45 that the budget went through the roof if you are in japan haha oh well
I really love all your videos and all you collabs with Graz. I already only really eat tuna and eggs, but this makes it so easy to make the switch over to being completely plant based. Thanks so much for all you do!
Hi, thank you for the amazing recipes! I have become obsessed with the creamy mushroom pasta and have made big batches of it twice! once again..thank you for the delicious recipes..
Thank you! Well done again for your healthy recipes. I was a little discouraged about the maintenance of the site and the costs that this will entail.
I made the first one, creamy mushroom pasta. Substituted red chili flakes for the red chili, add regular onion on top of the shallots, chicken broth for vegetable broth, I did not have the vegetable cubes and it turned out delicious <3 thank you so much for sharing.
for better texture you could peel the garbanzos and it will also better absorb its nutrients
These meals look so Delicious!!!
Love, Light, Peace & Gratitude.
Believe it or not, There are some people who don’t care if the pasta was cooked separately or not. This is perfectly ok when you don’t have time or couldn’t be bothered to add more pots to wash and time to cook!
The “contemporary” Gado-gado looks quite amazing. Might try that for my next all vegan dinner.
what is the soy product that resembles chicken..which brand?
I like more your style for cook I mean I love what your boyfriend do too but I keep with you ♥️ abrazos desde México mi muchachita preciosa
The skin or skin comment cracks me up every time. I’ve listened to it about 10 times
I always make your tomato lentil pasta and it tastes amazing! I am using red lentils and adding not cherry tomatoes but normal tomatoes. It’s such a comforting and filling recipe.
that kitchen deserves it’s own spinoff episode on a gardening channel. those vines <3
Hi Love your Channel… can you do more pasta dishes without tomatoes? thanks!
Just made this recipe tonight and it’s a banger!I have to do vegan meal prep in order not to be tempted by dairy, since I’m the only vegan in the house. So happy that dead flesh is no longer appealing to me.
Made the creamy mushroom pasta with Paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese) instead of Mushrooms and was sooo creamy!! Also mixed in some aquafaba with the coconut milk. Delicious!
Hummus, falafel, shwarma and many more are some great Arab foods.
الحمص، الفلافل، الشاورما وغيرها الكثير هي بعض الأطعمة العربية الكبرى.
I bought brown green and pink to grow in the garden. And they are sprouting up. So exciting
I need these dishes! And the sauce pans with the wooden handles! Can anyone tell me where to find them? Thanks in advance
I prepared the second one for my non-vegan family and they loved it! I also added spinach to the sauce and sprinkled everything with garlic-marinated fried tofu cubes. Delicious!!
I sure wish these guys would go SOS free! Salt, oil, sugar free.
Lovely, thank you! Are you going to be doing a Christmas roast soon!!!!!?
Why do you use a Lot of spinach? Dosen’t the body takes a Lot of time to digest.?
Im trying a variation of your pizza recipe next month in about a week and a half…im so excited!!
I don’t know about anyone else, but the only ingredient I have to make this is pasta and onions…
As an Italian I gave to say that i wasn’t that excited to try cooking pasta like this but today I made the first recipe and I absolutely loved it!! Don’t knock it until you try guys
Dear, why do you add coconut milk in all dishes? I’ve seen 3 videos till all all have the coconut milk…
Has anyone tried these pasta recipes in an Instant Pot? How long would it take in a pressure cooker?
I’ll be really interested in knowing where was that footage of mountains shot. Having a hot packed lunch after trekking to the top of the mountain will be heavenly.
Can someone tell the brand of the plates at the beginning? Especially the long blue plate?
gado gado is my favorite dish. But I have to be in Bali every time I want to have it for lunch or for dinner:D. Love this version of gado gado, more easy to make it, so I will definitely try it very soon:). Thank you!:)

What is your ethnicty? Was just curious. Love your videos and your voice is so soothing.
There’s chickpea pasta too… tastes just like regular whole wheat pasta

U use way too much canned and jar foods. I dont think thats healthy
i just made the mushroom spinach pasta.. jesus what magic is this? it’s the tastiest food i’ve ever made.. thanks!!!!:^)
Hi Sadia, I love your Le Creuset. Could you please tell me the dimension of your pot? Thank you.
Did you see what happened at 0:44? Sooo here’s the thing: I like to take strategic bites of my oatmeal, getting a bit of each topping onto the spoon, but sir Robin just mixes everything together from the get-go. Whaaa!? I think he’s a bit crazy… but maybe I’m the one that’s crazy? Which camp are you in? Strategic bites, or the mix-and-swirl?
OMG, your spices are in cute containers and organized so well. Your stepwise videos are so well done that I feel like I can do anything now! Man, I want hummus now
The first recipe is soooooo awesome! I’ve made it a couple of time and it was always gone so fast
Are there any tips for eating avocado. I’ve never been a huge fan of it, but it’s a staple for health foods and veganism.
I just cooked the green pasta dish, and it was veeeery tasty! Thanks for sharing! Greetings from Tilburg (:
Is there a substitute for coconut milk in the first pasta? Can we use regular milk? Cause I’m not vegan
I tried the first recipe today and it’s so tasty!!!:D thank you for sharing!
You look very similar to the Bollywood actress Ileana D’Cruz:)
I’m going to the supermarket to buy all the ingredients right now!
As an Italian I’d say, tried it and loved it!
I wouldn’t normally cook it all in one, but it saved me a lot of time on a busy day.
Plus your voice is incredible..It calms me down after a long day to listen to your recipes while cooking. Thank you and please keep sharing these yummy dishes!
I recently switched to an all plant-based diet, and I’ve really enjoyed your YouTube channel. It’s made the transition super easy, and not as difficult as I originally thought it would be. Tonight I made the Creamy Mushroom Pasta, and I just have to say, WOW. It was so delicious and creamy, but the ingredients were so healthy, its unbelievable that something that tastes that good is packed full with so much healthy goodness. My boyfriend (who is not on a plant-based diet, but is very open to it) said that he could’t believe how good it was, and gave it a 10 (he’s a very picky eater, and usually hates mushrooms, so that is saying A LOT for him!).
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful recipe, and I can’t wait to make it for my family and friends.
The vegan paella was delicious, the lemon made all the difference.
You guys are like sports broadcasters but with food . Its great!!!
I absolutely LOVE your one-pot recipes! So easy to make and the clean up is even easier
Vegan foods are too potent!! You should combine your meals and eat in the evening using 20:4 or 23:1 method.
I tried the green pasta today and although I was hesitant at first it turned out sooo good and was super easy to make!! Definitely don’t leave out the mint, it really gives it a kick. Thanks so much! I will definitely make this more often:)
Trust me, this is not how to made a spanish paella, half of the ingredients are ok, but the way you cook it, is not a paella.
Quick tip: you can use vegetable broth in place of the bouillon cubes if you’d like. Just substitute the water with vegetable broth and omit the bouillon cubes that’s it! Enjoy
Where did you find the bowl that you made the pizza dough in?
That feeling when you live in Norway and a single broccoli alone is more than €2
for a moment I thought this video surely is old, since broccoli alone currently costs the equivalent of 2 euros in PL…
I went from finding a quarantine haircut on your channel to falling in love with the rest. Your work is beautiful art in every way and so inspiring!
me knowing damn well my mum wont let me buy this because i eat dinner alone and have a small appetite
Here’s an idea for you.. So quick and easy.. Especially with canned chickpeas.. Chick pea salad. Just drain the can of chick peas, add diced onions tomatoes cilantro green chilies and if you wanna make the effort, diced boiled potatoes… Toss with lemon juice and season with salt cayenne, ground cumin and an Asian spice blend called “chaat masala”. To make a warm version, heat a little oil and add whole cumin and cook till fragrant, add a quarter tsp garlic paste and the chick peas and your boiled diced potatoes… Add salt, cayenne, and chaat masala, and give it a good stir… Add your onions, tomatoes chilies and cilantro. Let all the ingredients warm thru and then remove from heat and add a splash of lemon. Ready to serve. So hearty.
You can totally eat the green part of the leak. Can’t believe she just threw it away. FYI you can also eat the outer leaves and the stem of cauliflower
I definitely got to try these!! All of these dishes looks so good!
How do you reheat a lot like the curry with spinach in it already? It gets gross? Is that just my opinion
lol imagine living somewhere that has reasonably priced produce instead of inflated prices
Though the recipes are reasonably priced, her utensils and surroundings are so expensive lol Ah. Broke life
This is just stupid who is gonna buy 0,08 of olive oil? Lmao but nice clickbait
I’m not vegan, but I do love learning new recipes! I tried the first one and it was great! Thank you so much!
I noticed some of the dishes really aren’t under $2. Lmao. Bruh
I love your dishes! Where did you get them? Or are they just ones you acquired over time?
seeing your videos makes me feel happy, calm and in peace… really. Your optimistic aura, your voice, your beautiful house, the amazing food… oh <3
bro if u r gonna add the cost of the salt why not even cost of the gas and water.
I have a chicken called BOSH… spelt Bosch.. how bizarre… absolutely LOVE your delivery and now I am totally “ benteld” on lentils! Awesome recipes guys!
I made the mushorrom pasta so often, my browser has a direct link to the recipe now:)
I made the Green Pasta yesterday for dinner, it was really delicious!!!
What do you mean the green part of the leek is too fibrous to eat? Sauté and put in a leek and potato soup!
I couldn’t give a shit for only eating vegan food, but this really hits home with a fantastic mix of flavors and herbs that brings out the best of the vegetables and spices. All good warm filling food for sure, great job!
I made the creamy pasta and not going to lie I thought it wasn’t going to taste great at first but oh my pasta..it was so good. I also made the fries from another video and it was just delicious..
Ohh no the pizza dough rolling kinda broke my heart its better to sort of knead it out. Italian pizza makers dont just do it to put up a show but there is some reason behind it and maybe i wouldnt put it on a pizza, but i like the cauliflower idea though!:)
My Dutch as is yelling in excitement knowing I can actually find all ingredients at my local Jumbo for once.
Your recipes are soooooo creative, I can’t wait to try them Thanks so much for sharing them. I’m going to look into six, also. Aly, age, 76.
Literally one of the most versatile ingredients out there. As someone who is plant-based it is one of the staples. I always have a can or bag of dried chickpeas lying around if I need something to eat in a pinch.
Hummus, roasted, sauteed, in curries, the list is literally endless.
Nevermind they are a great source of fiber, protein, B vitamins, and minerals. One of my favorites!
Hello. I’m not sure if you’re still responding to this, but do you know if it would be possible to substitute the all purpose flour for oat flour? I have Crohn’s disease and follow the IBD-AID diet, which only allows oats for grains. Do you have any advice for how to sub oats in the pizza the recipe? Thank you very much for your help!
Brilliant!!!, I knew just one way of cooking lentils, now I have so many ones to try. If you would make one of this recipes in a dinner roll (bread) what would be your favourite one?
Thank you guys
Such a delicious vegan dish. Thank for your sharing. God bless you ❤️
This women knows how to make a fucking video. Amazing and also thanks for leaving the adds to the fucking end of the video❤️
Just made the creamy mushroom pasta dish. It has to be the best pasta dish I have ever tasted. Loved it! Thanks.
So many in our millennial age bracket get caught up in this, thinking that healthy food is expensive. I live in NYC, and I know there’s places you can get a slice of acvocado toast for $14-15.
You can make that same dish for a fraction of that at home. Thank you for taking this a step further here!
Hi! I love your recipes but just one request, we don’t have onion or garlic. If you can suggest an alternative pls! Thanks:)
I really love your energy, I wish more people was like you.
imagen how peaceful the world would be
Hope you are doing well! ❤
I’m not vegan or vegetarian but these recipes seem delicious to me for fasting days! Great job!!
I just made the green pea-broccoli pasta, it was really tasty. Thanks!!
I love the substitute options you throw in for the specialty items! Love your quick and budget friendly meals! This is a go to for recipes and my kids and nonvegan partner love them too!
Yes, do a series. I share your website with my college nutrition classes!
I love your channel! Have been following for a while now! I LOVE all your recipes! I really want to now where you get your beautiful white pots and pans… are they ceramic?
Hi I was wondering how much portions does the paella recipe gives? Thinking to doing this for a family gathering and I would need to have an idea of how many people it could feed!
Thank you so much and everything looks so delicious
Hi…. I love this channel… Is it healthy to use flour? Isn’t it processed…
This is awesome! I love watching your videos, we’ve tried so many recipes and ALWAYS love them! Thank you so much!
Respectfully, just like many other prep and eat dinner recipes, yours lacks the reality of actual time and the genuine effort required to make these dishes. Factor in that most people can’t merely stop off at a local market, the fact that you can’t buy a handful of spinach but instead must purchase a whole bag, you can’t buy one leek, or one onion or a couple of chives, at least where I live. Add to that the fact that you have an ideal work environment with all the trimmings concerning pots and pans, knives and cutting blocks, all the spices and the ability to move things out of sight when no longer in use, subsequently clearing your prep space.
I’m not trying to discount your efforts, but I just spent two days buying and prepping one of your curry dishes, and now, I have a cupboard full of spices I doubt I’ll ever use again – garlic powder?
Anyone have a good alternative for the BBQ sauce in the pizza? Just not my favorite flavor.
can you do budget friendly gluten-free meals? (Is there such a thing?)
$3 for one leek in northeast USA! I got so angry being jealous of your leek prices I missed the next ingredient
Huh ik wist niet dat je nederlands was? Echt accentloos engels!
Sister, why not using fresh red tomatoes instead of tomato paste?
Some stuff in there is expensive/har to find in Brazil (or at least Brasília) but she’s so soothing that I just keep watching
wow I am so impressed. Thank you so much you just made my life easier. I can’t wait to make this Thank you again!
Just something I was looking for! I will be altering this to give to my 13month old baby:) looks so good!
Hey! They look amazing!!
In regards to the paella, what could I replace the artichoke with? Here it is one of the most expensive things ever D: It is a luxury food only served in expensive places
Is it weird that I smiled the whole time while watching this video?!
You know a lot about vegan food..and they look tasty as well.
Whenever I watch this channel videos I feel sleepy and it’s so soothing I always thinking of making what she does and ended up just eating what we do everyday hahha but love watching u m also a vegetarian
I grew up with Thai heavy tasted food. I wish to enjoy Western foods cos I’m vegetarian once a week. But the ingredients are very rare and also expensive here in Thailand compared to local veggies.
For someone so conscious of nutrition you shouldn’t through out the water in which you cook veggies… They’re full of nutrients
Ethical arguments against veganism:
1. If someone doesn’t feel pain, is it okay for us to break their bones? If not, vegans shouldn’t eat plants either. For example, people born with congenital analgesia cannot feel pain and are far more susceptible to life-threatening injuries than others. Even though they can feel discriminative touch and have normal cognition and sensation.
2. Plants are sentient or self-aware by the same standards animals are deemed to be self-aware. https://royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/full/10.1098/rspb.2015.1379
3. If a higher intelligence is the reason why animals should be spared from being eaten and plants shouldn’t, then there’s nothing wrong with eugenics either.
4. What should we do about the problem of obligate carnivores? Should we sterilize them en masse and make them go extinct in the process? In a world free of carnivores, herbivores must face a stiffer competition against each other to procure food for themselves. In a world of limited resources, death and suffering is inevitable either way. A herbivorous species must either ward off, maim or starve a rival species of herbivores to death in order to fend for their own and secure territory. How is this any better?
5. If it’s okay for animals to eat other animals including human beings, but not the other way round, then why are we applying any moral standards at all? If animals are incapable of moral agency and can’t form a social contract with humans, then it’s preferential treatment for animals which is inherently unjust towards and discriminatory against human beings. In nature, those who make the best utilization of whatever resource is available for them as food have a higher chance of survival and get to reproduce more.
6. Humans are obligate carnivores in nature. Even if it’s in the narrow sense that we get our B12 from animal products and in some climates, our vitamin D (D3) as well. Our bodies were designed to break down meat. Why is something natural wrong, even if it has features that are unpleasant? Should we get rid of gender too since men have unfair physical advantages over women?
7. Meat is required for optimal health. There are nutrients in animals that we simply cannot find in plants. Then there’s the fact that we can more readily absorb essential nutrients from animal products than from plants due to the lack of antinutrients, which in some cases, can be lethal. Plus, animal nutrients exist in a more bioavailable form in comparison to the plant variety. For example, retinol vs beta carotene, heme iron vs non heme iron etc. Why should we consume a prohibitive amount of nutrient sparse food which is time-consuming, uncomfortable and unhealthy due to its high fiber content and can even ruin our guts?
8. If both plants and animals are off the menu due to ethical considerations, should chemically produced food alternatives and nutrient supplements be the future of “food” for humanity? Why should we substitute food with chemical goo when our bodies are best adapted to and have evolved over millions of years to their current state fueled by an omnivorous diet? The potential consequences could be disastrous for our species in the long run.
9. In the near future, the already existent cultured meat will become commercially available at an inexpensive price for mass consumption. If a human donor can donate a pound of their flesh to feed a small town in the process, why is it unethical to procure it from animals instead? If altruism is a good thing, why are humans to blame for the shortcomings of animal cognition? A portion of cultured pork meant for human consumption can be fed back to pigs as well.
10. Why should it ever be right to prevent a man from raising his own animals for food? Why should we infringe on individual liberty? Both cultured meat or a supplement aided vegan diet is dependent on big corporations and the expertise of a small, elite group of specialists. Why should people from other walks of life throw their most basic right away to the whims of a powerful minority? If they get to control our bodies, they get to control our policies as well.
11. Is animal exploitation wrong even when it saves human lives? If it is, doesn’t it imply that the life of a few animals are more important than that of a human patient? Is this needless? Should we let nature take it’s course? Then why is it wrong to eat meat? Isn’t it natural too?
12. If vegans really value animal lives, including that of rodents and insects, shouldn’t they adopt a lifestyle that causes minimum harm to them without being outright misanthropic? Shouldn’t vegans avoid fruits and vegetables that depend on beekeeping? Shouldn’t they take a more anti-civilization stance in general and be more closer to nature like those of the uncontacted tribes of the world? If not, how is the impact of civilization upon non-human animals not tantamount to ethnic cleansing through population displacement in a human context at the very least? Not to mention crop deaths, pest control, uprooting wildlife habitats etc. Isn’t it grossly inconsistent to be vegan while reaping the benefits of modern civilization at the same time? Is the life of an earthworm or a fruit fly less valuable than that of a cow or a dog? If so, is this a morally consistent position?
I LOVED all of these lentil recipes! I lived in Morocco, and we used to eat green lentil salad with cucumber, red onion, tomatoes chopped finely and mixed with the not-overcooked green lentils, mixed with lots of lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, coriander (leaf and ground powder), ginger, garlic, salt and harissa all eaten with whole wheat bread for utensils. I use red lentls a lot but have not made these recipes….YET. I will try these recipes for sure!!! THANK YOU!
Just wanted to hop on and say…I tried the cauliflower curry and it was amazing!! Thank you so much for this

Amazing recipe. Ive just made the rose pasta, definitely won some points with my vegan partner XD. Just one tip, try to use Spanish tomate frito. Makes a huge difference!
If you this is how curry is made….you are very much mistaken
My whole family is Dutch, and we are living in Canada. We have a Dutch store nearby us, and 100% love those sprinkles:)
These look good….. I think anyone would love these no matter if they are vegan or not….
I’m not vegan or vegetarian, but I definitely want to try some of your recipes. Everything looks so yummy!

I could listen to you speak all day, something so calming and positive vibrations all around. Thanks Sadia for making these amazing videos!!
What is the mock meat you used in your husband’s bean recipe and what store carries it?

Stopped watching at 1:43 because of the bouillon cubed. That’s just periodic table you’re putting into your food.
Scottish soup? I’m Scottish and never seen soup that you can use knife and fork for lol
If I eat just a sandwich for lunch I will be hungry for the rest of the day. I gotta eat rice or pasta on my lunches or I won’t feel satisfied
Anyone know where to find nutritional yeast and oyster mushrooms in the US?
Also, I only see nutritional yeast sold in “flakes.” Is it supposed to be flakes?
i love your video, watch again and again, love you and your food
You guys! Lentils the wonder food, love these little lovelies AND this video, all recipes had me salivating like a dental rental!
Gado gado was a hit even the fussy kid liked it. Couldn’t find some ingredients, replaced vegan chicken with vegan mince and sambal paste with some chlli garlic Asian paste. Still enjoyed a lot. Thanks
My town doesn’t sell vegan food
I’m the only vegan I know here and I can’t even find a protein bar in the shops. My parents don’t like ordering online as they value supporting local businesses.
You are talking about filling then what would you say when you eat our Kerala sadya
You’re so amazing!
And your audience can see how genuine you are as a person and communicating with us super thank you for that.
I feel so inspired having this healthy living route that I have started to do just 4 months ago ♥️ so happy I bumped in to your channel! I’ve been saving them for treasure keeps!
You are soo good i always inspire for good health after seeing your videos ♥️♥️ you are soo good make more interesting videos
Did u make peanut butter? I have peanut butter it is thick. I made Gado Gado yesterday. I am fan of you and your recipe
Love it!. Want to try your hubbies recipe. And your videography is superb!
Thankyou for making amazing videos. I learnt so much, I always thought it’s going to be difficult and healthy food will be non delicious. I am so excited to try these recipes.
Jesus. These two are so annoying. They are trying super hard to get a cooking show on a network; but guys? Yeah um NO, ain’t happening.
That is very cool! I was surprised when I saw the word Gado-gado as the name of one of your food recipes! It is in fact a very delicious and nutritious traditional food here in Indonesia! Love how Robin makes his own Gado-gado!
I love that you used sun-dried tomatoes in that stir-fry! I’ll have to try that!
Everything looks so sweet i feel like I am having diabetes from watching it
Champignons/mushrooms, broccoli, courgette, vegetarian chicken. with coconutmilk, add nuts/feta/cucumber as a topping. Great with rice or tagliatelli with the creamy saus. so yummi
My boyfriend also enjoys the mushrooms/spinach /vegan chicken variation of this.
Oatmeal with banana and frozen berries and nuts is also 1 of my favourites. I use coconutwater.
The other thing I really enjoy is roasted bread with your red Pesto recipe (although i don’t add yeast) with radishe, celery, white cabbage, leek, cucumber and nuts.
I’d suggest switching to measuring by weight, especially for doughs and baking. A cup of flour is such an unreliable measurement and in doughs precicions is everything.
That garlic cream is permanently available in my fridge, it is sensational
Thanks to you I’ve found my love for cooking again. It brings me again a lot of joy and happiness. And the new ideas are just keep comming. It is incredible! I am forever grateful.
Great content! I did read somewhere that we can’t (or shouldn’t) mix fruits with meal. We can either eat 30 mins before or after the meal (some acidic/basic stuff). Is that true? Or, is it ok to mix the fruits with meals and cook?
Appreciate the effort and focus on the quality content. It motivated me to get back to kitchen.:)
me: watches pick up limes with awe
also me: has ordered pizza twice this week
My partner and I made the cauliflower curry for a family gathering and everyone said it’s the best curry they have ever tasted including ourselves
Robin is partly dutch partly portuguese party indonesian?
How your children are going to explain their roots? Canada, Afghanistan, Netherlands, Portugal, Indonesia… To top all of this, you should move into a 6th new country.
Hi Sadia.I am not a vegetarian but love watching your videos.
I think it would have to have been a long time since you had a steak to believe that had anything in comn with meat
Wow!I just discovered your channel and I must confess that am learning a lot.keep up the good work.love from Uganda
Your One-Pot Pasta rosé is heaven! We’ve cooked it yesterday and it was amazing!
I’m Iranian
I don’t know English language very well but I watch your video and I love you ❤❤❤

Actually u r my inspiration Sadia and I have started a channel called ‘Poppy’s Vlogs’..
I’ll follow your steps as well what content and how management been done… truly your team is awesome….super cool
Made this recpie today, ive got to admit it was nice, but not like wow il do it again. Ive cooked a few of ellas recpies now and i find them just so heavy on the stomach, they make me feel sick, i just dont think its for me. Also with the amount of nuts used it can get pricy. But the cashew garlic cream is really nice and the energy ball things she makes are really good.
just made these and am actually in heaven. they are so insanely good i don’t even know what to do with myself hahh. thanks ella!!!
Lovely recipe…will be trying out shortly…well done…hello from NY:)
it’s too hot for me to use the oven at home these days so i will just pan fry ’em!
Made a couple of recipes you have in your book, similar to these. They never got firm in the middle, any ideas?
Wow! 3.9M views!!! And you’re almost 3 Million Sub! Congrats!!
Great stuff lads. Just made the ‘Scottish’ soup (substituted the celery with asparagus) and ‘chicken’ biriyani and they came out tasty as…
I just made these lentil balls for the first time tonight! They were great and easy and will definitely be making them again soon! I didn’t have the ingredients to make the garlic sauce or the avocado hummus, so I used chipotle mayo instead.
Chana Masala is best eaten with Butter Garlic Naan or Laccha Paratha
U are great cook..what name of your cookbook? I just started getting into vegan and vegetarian cooking.
I cooked it today for lunch and oh my gosh you guys it is absolutely delicious And the most exciting part is that I feel so good after it. I am full but not like after overeating, you know? Definitely gonna try it again!
Ps: if you need nutrition information I can send you:)
I love these quick videos showing recipes from the cookbook. It makes trying a new recipe less intimidating. I wish you had them for all your cookbooks.
This looks so delicious. Your guacamole looks so creamy. I have to try this.
This looks delicious! Can I use any other lentils? I have white, brown, red and black. But no green:(
Love it!! Just receive The Cook book last week and this will be my first recipe!!! Can’t wait to taste it!! Thank you Ella!!:):):) xxx
You should convert your measurements for those in America not familiar with English ones. Your base of buyers would expand.
I just made the pavlovas and vanilla extract helps so much! It eliminated the “slightly weird” taste completely
Ooo making theses x made fudgy brownies earlier x omg yum
Definitely one of my favourite recipes from the book ❤️ love the relish recipe to go with it, only I didn’t realise tomato purée in the uk is what we call tomato paste but once we had that sorted, the dish was an absolute winner
Love that you’re putting measurements in the description thank you but could you put American measurement as well please?❤️❤️
I’m always looking for new vegan you tubers and I found you on one of the happy pears videos. I am so happy I found you I absolutely love your videos. Your videos are so soothing and I love watching them. You do an amazing job thank you for all your hard work
Great recipe! But I still don’t get what’s with you using oil all the time. Oil is so unhealthy. I especially don’t understand you using oil in this recipe, you could totally just use tahini, since tahini is what’s traditionally used to make hummus anyway. Olive oil is just a cheaper more unhealthy alternative to the wholesome tahini in hummus.
Yum! Does the avo dip stays good in the fridge for a couple days?
with such recipies ur subscriber oath to be soaring up…keep the recipies coming
Hi! First of all, thanks for your inspiration! Although I’m Spanish and I have to say that is not paella. Paella doesn’t have that mix of vegetables, only pepper and beans. That dish is just rice with vegetables. The technique is mostly good though!
i need to remember to not watch these videos late at night when I cant jump right into the kitchen
8:58 all the ingredients are interrupted by the split screen top right. So you can’t see what’s going into the recipe…. not ideal
Great recipe. I will be trying it when I replace my food processor, I accidentally broke it.
Gonna get in the kitchen and make the herby lentil balls now! How long do i cook them for and at what temperature?
What about a Spanish “potaje con garbanzos”? That’s also a delicious meal entirely based on chickpeas. Very quick to cook and very tasty
The creamy one pot mushroom pasta is simple and delicious. Keep up the great work.
definitely interested in making my own hummus now, since my favorite flavor is sriracha and it’s pretty hard to find at the store in my area!
Low I just notice the clase Azul tequila in the background hummus and tequila good combo
I love you babish, but the amount of garam masala you’re asking for here is insane. It’s just really overpowering. The recipe seems overall pretty nice but I’m gonna reduce the amount by a ton if I make this again.
Home made hummus salad is completely different than that horrible containers they sale in the market.
Any tips on how to get the chick pea water from dried chick peas(so not canned) that you soak for 8 and cook for 2 hours to stiffen up luke eggwhites? Didn’t work for me:(
I made today the first pasta with mushrooms, I did skip some ingredients ( sundry tomatoes, little green vagetable cubes and nutri. yeast) and it came up so tasty I am so proud of me hehe, thanks for this beautiful and easy recipe
This is my first meal this year that actually did taste absolutely amazing
Woah woah, dont throw away the green part of a leek, just cut it thinly and it will become really soft and creamy. Also tip: cut two whole leeks and cook them in a bit off stock till it evaporates, add cream cheese and you have an amazing puff pastry filling
Sidenote: The main risk in cookie dough is the raw flour, as it can easily carry E.Coli. Fresh eggs are almost no risk for salmonella while unbroken.
You can make your dough 100% safe to eat raw by toasting the flour, and using pastureised eggs (available in big box stores) or making an italian meringue with the whites and using them like your aqua faba.
enjoy your cookie dough folks, just know the real risks and counter them ^_^
Correct me if I’m wrong but I think chickpeas are very popular in Asia and the West Indies.
Ok but here’s a questionif I don’t buy chickpeas ready from a box, and I just cook them myself, can I use the cooking water as aquafaba?
Been trying to incorporate less meat into our meals. My fiance has been reluctant but he loves you recipes so far. Tried the first one with a few tweaks (didn’t have sundried tomatoes or spinach so added regular tomatoes with extra spices and arugula) and he loved it! Thank you so much for giving great meal ideas.
Looks so yummy! Gonna try the Scottish Soup first. I also like the YouTube channel’s Nutrition Refined’s version of Lentil Pizza Crust with the red lentils. A high fiber Pizza Crust sounds odd but it’s really quite tasty.
I have a jar of aquafaba from three cans of chickpeas in my fridge right now… it is definitely bad by this point and I should throw it away, but maybe my next chickpea curry will be the one that also results in choc chip cookies for dessert! Something I have been intending to do for many months now.
I made this last week, it’s amazing I’m making it tonight again.
Vis a vis the can of chillis in the chana masala, you say you can replace with fresh birdseye chillis, but there appears to be some liquid in the can so would you recommend adding a little extra liquid with fresh chillis? Cheers!!!
(Not so) Quick tip Babish, if you can find the time to take the skin off each individual chickpea, it makes for a creamier hummus. Love the show, been watching since the Elf Pasta episode. Keep it up!
Really nice to see vegan ideas and odd replacements to non vegan ingredients!
I’m not vegan but will avoid animal products where I can so these are definitely taken on board!! Especially for meringue!
You’ve missed a great opportunity, talking about chikpeas without talking about a staple Tunisian dish called “LABLABI”!!!
Man this insanely SPICY, GOOD, DELICIOUS and quite unique…. You can check it on the net and give it try on your channel.
Wow, these look wonderful, and I appreciate that I can get full flavored Whole Food, Plant Based (Vegan) unprocessed recipes from a short to the point quality video! You guys rock! ❤️
Bro that chicken biryani looks amazing. I’m going to have to try that. I love the commentary while the cooking is going on. Only problem is some of the ingredient names were blocked by your video square in the top right corner
My go to meal in the morning for breakfast is Steel Cut Oats cooked with Chickpeas, topped with blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries!
Made theses, they are so yummy x made brownies again for family x
@Binging with Babish,
I don’t know if you have, but could you make falafel sometime? I’ve tried multiple times with various different spices and it always tastes bland and falls apart.
Sincerely,
A novice home cook.
This guy just made cookies with the chickpea water thing IThe talent
as a vegan, this is my fav video. My hummus is way better though, you should look more into that.
I only have one question, what The heck is Aqua Fava? I don’t think I spelt that correctly
I never heard anyone besides Babish call chickpeas “garbanzo peas”
i was eating extra toasty cheeze its while watching this lol got me
Another good example of a chickpea based dessert is Mysurpa. It’s a South Indian version of fudge. All you need is Chickpea Flour, Ghee, Water, and sugar. If made properly, it melts in your mouth and it’s addictive as hell.
Yes, you could pretend that making hummus is that easy but Middle Easterners know that it takes waaaay longer than that to make real, delicious hummus that makes you want to eat a whole tubful of.
Didnt know garbanzos were called chickpeas, i though they were….. garbanzos.
The dinner recipe is too tedious for a busy person’s routine. This way most of the evening would be spent in preparing, cooking and washing. It would be nice if you can please show some quicker dinner recipes.
You should add baking soda to the boiling water to remove the Peele…
Babish I know you’re a savage cook but you got to stop acting like eating raw flour is safe
I’ll say one thing ” Chole Bhature”
Where’s mah Indian fam at
Just wanted to say thank you for the creamy mushroom pasta recipe. I did it today and it turned out great! Keep the recipes coming please. Love the decor, your voice, your nails are always nice too. Thank you so much!
Energy cost for baking the califlower twice. It is just too much for budget friendly recipe.
Very weird watching recipes in Euros with cups and self rising flour. Don’t you have sacles and baking powder or yeast. Pizza is done with yeast isn’t it.
I like cooking the broccoli together with the noodles very efficient.
been Vegan for so many years,,,for the sake of animals and I cook the same way u do,,, I created lots of good dishes for me,,,,LOL im going to make that green pasta tomorrow,,,,like ur video ❤❤❤
I made a ton of hummus for my husband’s work lunches, and I kept the aquafaba to play with. The meringue was amazing and I couldn’t stop eating those cakey cookies. I’m gonna try converting that recipe into an oatmeal raisin (plain oatmeal for me) recipe!
As a small tip for those making the cookies, I tried to make them, and at first the dough came out alright, but I had to leave it on my counter to walk my dogs (Didn’t leave the stove on!), but the dough got a very oily consistency. I thought that was bad so I added a bunch of flour thinking that would fix the problem. Long story short, it did not. If you have to leave like I did, leave the dough in the fridge to prevent this weird consistency from happening. I turned my cookies into weird biscuits but they were still good. Even if you get that weird oily effect, they’re still fine. Use spoons to dole out the dough on your baking sheets because they were very sticky! Have fun baking! (I’m trying the donuts next!)
So everyone’s going to just brush past the fact that he used homogeneity properly in a sentence?..
Lol who would yell at you for using the dried garlic onion c8onatro
in next life, I am definitely will marry a man who can cook
Just tired to do everything myself.
Thank you for sharing, very educational.
I am currently making vegan choclate moose with the aquafaba from these and it isn’t whipping like it should so I think i messed it up. Sucks bc i am making this for a school assignment
We had one can of chickpeas in the cupboard… Three years past it’s expiration date
Thank you Babish, im new to the vegetarian game and have been using chickpeas a lot!
Currently working my way through the BOSH! book and not a bad recipe in there! Lot’s of variety awesome! Of these recipes, the Dhal and Roti was incredible after the pub last week! Next up is the steak….. Cheers:-)
Cannot see the recipe for the ‘vegan cheese steak’, it’s annoying.
That’s actually nice I don’t see any negative comments though I searched for it,I didn’t find any
I’m not south Asian and I’ve only had biryani a few times. But I will agree… that’s not biryani lmao.
That was, in fact, just rice and lentils.
You had me at Philly cheese steak. My son and I are new vegetarians and this is one thing we crave. I’m goona give it a go.
Coconut fat/oil is high in saturated fat, higher than butter. I use organic sunflower or olive oil as it’s healthier than coconut oil/fat.
Would you please tell whomever edits your video that, if they move the ingredients to the right corner, they need to move the box with you in it to the left? Now, the video of you blocks the test with the ingredients. Cheers.
Although these dishes look yummy, I’ll say this is not a pasta dish: real pasta is cooked separately and surely after 20 minutes you’ll have glue, not “al dente”. Another unusual thing is adding 300 ingredients, real pasta dishes are way more simple.
i love your energy and how excited you are about cruelty-free food
you guys just got me as a subscriber
Why does everyone think you need to add “flavor” to hummus? What is wrong with the basic, marvelous hummus that has been eaten for (probably) centuries?
Genius way to cook pasta!! Less water waste and I’m thinking the pasta retains so much more of the flavor!!! Yummmmy recipes!! Can’t wait to try!! ✌
I love that you draw the line on philly cheesesteak changes at anything but green bell peppers. looked great.
Ahhhhh on his knees…. Can I marry those hands?.. ♂️
I loved them all and am going to do them all, if I can get some of that vital wheat gluten flour…
All looks delish! but on the seitan one, the list of ingredients were behind the clip of you 2 so couldnt see what you put in it…
Hi Fellas, As you are from Sheffield I wonder if you could tell me of a few good places to shop for the more unusual ingredients (King oyster mushrooms, decent tofu for example) I live on the NE Derbyshire / South Yorks border. TIA
I’ll be the first one to buy your cook book. PLEASE make one
Watching this made me sooooooooooooooooooooo hungry. And I just ate.
Hi the recıpe for philly steak was not clear can you please give it one more time
Your pic is covering the ingredients popping on the screen. It would be good if you correct it.
For the garlic sauce, is there any other type of nut that would work the same as cashews since I can’t afford them?
I love lentil soup I like to add coconut oil and cilantro to my progresso soup have not made the perfect recipe yet and I am the only one who like it in my family. Coriander is the same as cilantro fresh is better but you can buy dried.
Babish here not wearing his apron is actually his way of working from home
He said hella creative. Today I said I was hella dope. My teen doesn’t believe me though
The recipes you show are pretty awesome, except for the use of oil which is not at all awesome. Why not pump up the health of your recipes with alternatives to all that liquid fat?
I just made the mushroom pasta. It is super fabulous! Great recipe! Thank you for sharing!
Good recipes, if only you guys weren’t as annoying to listen to, lol. I ended up muting the video
Thank thank and thanks again for these recipes now I have to put them into my rotation..im so excited I need recipes for split red peas…please..must I say pretty in your case handsome please…I’m screaming from USA (East Texas).. sending a huge hugs
Brilliant ideas guys, thanks! Stay safe with your non judgemental lentils!
Where have you guys been all my life? Thank you very much from Northern, Virginia USA.
PSYou should have chopped the “Philly vegan cheesesteak”. Philly cheesesteaks, even vegan, should be chopped.
I really do not understand how people can like hummus so much:P It is good with falafel so it is not so dry but that is it xD
Exactly how I like to eat!!! Looking forward to trying Robin’s recipe:) thank you!
Recipes look so nice, I just really don’t like the taste of lentils. Although I have only had the crushed red specie which is the type used in most of the videos. can’t stand it
Someone please tell white people that hummus is arabic for chickpeas.
Thinking of turning these videos into a little series Whaddyathink? If you have any recipe requests for meals on a budget, pop them below! As with last time, prices indicated are per serving, and each recipe makes 4 servings. Happy cooking!
Omg..I’m.hungry these recipes look so delicious, great healthy, tasty ingredients.btw.peas contain a good amount of iron,so a great ingredient for vegan dishes.
Arabic food have a lot vegan dishes i can show you and learn you the recipes
It’s more healthy and easy to make roti with whole wheat flour. Loved your recipes. Thank you guys!

Can you make your own cake Victorian sponge
Wow guys I loved you before but I love you even more now. This is my first time seeing a vid in this format: the colour commentary next to bomb recipes the making. It’s like watching sports for cooking and I’m about that life!! All these look amazing and straight forward, yummmmm. Thank you!
Red lentils are my favourite especially red lentil and cumin burgers with tvp not saitan gluten to stick together.
Yum!! Channa masala can be had with poori and chapathi too, it’s yum
I’m definitely going to use the lentil hummus recipe as pasta sauce
You guys are
“Mental about the humble Lentil”
Many Thanks for vids
I love lentils and mushrooms too! Gave away 17 lbs today at my food pantry. Donate please, we need food. Will make red lentil hummus and soup tomorrow.
Wow I like them all. I didn’t know you can make hummus from lentil. Thank you both so much. Keep up the great job!
i used to cook pasta and sauce in different pots and then washing both of them:( i gotta try your one pot way!!
Did a hummus with brown channa dhal. Came out yum! Looked a bit like mustard, but richer in taste than the usual chickpea. Loved this video. Enjoy!
I love what u do but stop using this f#$@% voice generator. You would gain more confidence by using your own voice.
I just made the mushroom fusilli and it was delicious!! My husband who isn’t plant-based even enjoyed it and he doesn’t like mushrooms, spinach, or pasta haha
Do you have a stock recipe? The ones I’ve found online are too bitter for my taste.
Just buy a Vitamix, it will be a lot easier for you guys to make hummus.
I found this video embedded on a cooking site, inspired taste, and made the hummus about 3 days ago, followed your recipe exactly. It is delicious! The roasted peppers are a little wet and I dabbed them between paper towers. I shook the jar of tahini but next time I will deep stir it. My hummus was a little runny and wouldn’t hold a well but after being in the fridge overnight it thickened up. I never roasted peppers before; it was fun. I cut up the small pieces and froze on a plastic lid, then popped them in a freezer bag. Can’t have enough red peppers. Tonight I made my first pita bread; it is tricky but not too bad for first try. So I had something to dip in my hummus when I ran out of store bought I used with store prepared hummus; homemade is better! Thank you for the delicious flavor. Next will be eggplant then maybe green olive. I love hummus. A quick tip. I use the Cuisinart newer model 7-cup. The scraper that comes with it is too stiff for this so I will use my skinny flexible one as it is hard to scrape the bottom around the blades. I didn’t bother to skin the chick peas; extra fiber is good, and it turned out very smooth.
when i mix the tahani and lemon juice instead of getting smooth and creamy, it clumps up and turns into a dough like ball. help please =(
After falling in love with how easy it is to make hummus at home, we decided to play around with some of our favorite store-bought hummus flavors. This time we’re sharing our roasted red pepper hummus recipe — it’s creamy, smooth and so delicious.
