I am only 15 and I am 300 pounds. I have gone down in the past to around 290 and jumped back. My worst was at 313 pounds in which I was so depressed. After a year of realization, I have had it with high processed foods and I know that I can do it with the help of people like you. My family and where I live (The South) have always been torture on me and I haven’t always had the best of money. About the sodium, I get horrible headaches from eating foods around 800mg or higher.this was also useful in the fact that finding the right foods in the right place and time can be challenge as I must convince my parents to get what I can to help my health. As for the rest of my family, they are all unhealthy and overweight which has always made me disappointed.

I say this at the risk of sounding insulting (not my intention ), but this diet doesn’t look healthy at all. Missing completely are non processed, nutrient rich foods, i.e., fresh vegetables, nuts/seeds and fruit. Your daily routine consists primarily of meat & dairy (every..single..meal): 5 eggs, turkey bacon, fish tacos and roast beef, I.e., junk food. Unless you buy “no salt added” tomato sauce, it has over 400mg of sodium in 1/4 cup. For the turkey bacon, it too has a lot of sodium as well. Limiting high-sodium foods such as this helps keep the numbers down, but if you combine a lot of high sodium foods such as sour cream, swiss cheese, tortillas, etc, the sodium numbers go up really fast. I am also on a low sodium diet (on my own, not because of a medical issue). I have to read every single label. Salt is added into almost everything. I find salt in products I never would have guessed. Because salt is not the only form of sodium, especially with processed foods, where some kinds of sodium are used as preservatives. Food has to be palatable, but I have found that I can use no salt products or fresh foods, and take just a tiny pinch of salt (if needed) and put it on top of my food. This way, I taste a little salt right away, and that is enough to get me through things like popcorn, potatoes, corn on the cob, and other things that would be awful without a touch of salt. If a food has salt in it in it’s manufacture, the saltiness is not always tasted. That is why fresh food with a pinch on top works much better, in my opinion, and it is easier to control. I am stunned at how the food industry has put salt into almost everything. And many salt their food on top of that, too. It takes practice, but it helps curb the appetite as well. I have totally lost my cravings for snacks.

Thank you for the tips. I go to my doc tomorrow for a swollen left ankle and foot. I think it may be water retention. Doc has told me for a few years to cut back on salt since I eat so much pickled veggies. I think my body is starting to tell me I can’t do the salt anymore. My brother is diagnosed with 3rd phase of heart failure and he needs to cut out salt so I pray that isn’t my issue. The swelling has never happened before so I am taking it upon myself to finally take doc’s orders and cut the salt. Just looking on YT for ideas and tips and yours is the first video I saw. My eggs are from free range chickens and only have 16 mg of sodium, verses store bought white eggs which have 80 mg of sodium per egg.

Daron, I hope all is going well with you. I highly recommend Benson’s Table Tasty seasoning blend if you really want to get tat “salty” sensation. I have two kidney diseases and have been forced to a low sodium diet and the stuff has totally redeemed many of my old favorite foods! Anything to give back even a little bit of your normalcy.
I will vouch for the potency of the “Zοtοsο yuku” (look it up on G00GLE) that handles blood pressure. Some other items I have attempted only lowered the blood pressure level for the moment.
