What is the Sodium Phosphate in most deli meat and why is it so bad for you? I’m guessing it’s a sodium mixture used as a preservative.
Avocado oil and a pink salt I never heard of pink salt until flavor city
I dont know what am doing watching this video because I am a salt addict, 42 and normal blood pressure.
“I recommend this guide:
havy.best/ikf-guide/3lc
So grateful it exists in 2020.”
Screw this video. As soon as society collapses, this guy is going to grab everything he could and run for the hill. Nobody has time for nutritional value bullshit when the world is falling apart.
I watching this video because today my nephrologist told me that I have 30 % of my kidneys damaged and I need to lose weight too. I’m 300lbs and 6’4 and for my height I suppose to be at least 210lbs. So yeah, I’m way overweight. Also I need to control my blood pressure. Gotta watch my potassium too tho.
Why do people eat meat it has no flavor its the seasoning and flavor added to it not the meat
Thanks, for the information. I was looking for low sodium microwave foods, it’s hard to find a low sodium amount.
Why not just tell all the poor people right here in america..Your death is near because you’re NOT one of the beautiful people.
OMG, is that tp beside you, Bobby, you’d better snatch it up, it’s like gold right now. LOL
Thanks for this video. My cardiologist recently put me on a low sodium diet, 1800-2000 mgs/day (the daily max for others is 2300 which is 1 tsp of salt), due to a mild bout of congestive heart failure. It’s rough grocery shopping and reading all the labels. Plus you have to plan out meals in advance or you just may go overboard by dinner.
My cardiologist told me salt is salt, sea, kosher, they all have sodium. Also, going low sodium you should have your potassium levels checked.
I tried Applegate Black Forest ham and I was hugely disappointed. It was so full of gristle I couldn’t eat it. It’s possible I just had bad luck, but it was such a turn off I won’t try that brand again.
Do you have a video on soy and why it’s not great for you? It is from a soybean, no? Out of all your videos I’ve watched so far I haven’t heard the reasons behind you not recommending soy and I’m interested and want to learn more. Thank you for your time spent educating us! I am on the way to eating more clean and really paying attention to ingredient decks and macros on products and it’s so sad what our food has evolved to during the past decades from using all the preservatives, pesticides, no-nutrition beneficial junky filler ingredients thanks to corn and the way products are processed overall.
Lovely Video! Forgive me for the intrusion, I am interested in your opinion. Have you heard about Franaar Healthy Kidney Formula (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a good one off guide for Healing from Kidney Disease minus the headache. Ive heard some great things about it and my friend finally got cool success with it.
Do we have to worry about the Amy’s lentil soup being sprayed with roundup? I was surprised to hear that lentils were heavily sprayed with this chemical.
WTF!!! No one cares about sodium at this point in time!!! The whole world is dying, there are better things to worry about
love this video, because I have high blood pressure this has given me many choices to look for at the grocery store thanks bobby your videos are excellent and super helpful
I love how she’s smiling the whole time. U can tell she’s passionate
I’ve found small beads of a white creamy like substance on the turkey slices of lunchables… anyone know if this is bacterial growth or just congealed fat??
I am a heart patient and I would benefit greatly from eating fish. Fish is loaded with good nutrients for my heart. Though, every package of frozen fish that I look at has way too much sodium for me to eat it. When I look at the ingredients, they all contain STPP. The STPP makes the sodium level five to ten times what it normally is and it is only there to absorb water making the fish heavy. How can we be leaders in health and welfare of our people when we allow this wanton use of STPP just to make money on the unsuspecting consumers?
Thank you for taking the time to make this. Your videos have helped me take better care of myself and my family. ❤️
Hey there amazing family… The Ezekiel sprouted bread you showed contains organic wheat gluten. Does that not affect someone who has gluten issues?
I just posted a review on the Celtic sea salt he talks about and the pasture raised eggs please go cheack out the reviews and what i really thought.
65 and grew up with bologna, eat what you want, this guy is just for you gullible people bologna and cheese sandwich the best
Thank you for talking about low sodium options! I am on a strict low sodium diet due to a medical condition (Meniere’s Disease). A spike in sodium for me can cause a drop attack or days of unrelenting vertigo.
Thank you sooo much for posting and including us low sodium folks. I also found a Yoplait Yogurt with few ingredients and only 20 mg of sodium per serving. It’s hard to find but it’s good. It only comes in Plain and it’s called YQ Protein. I’m actually going to try and make my own, which I do a lot of now, but this is a good go-to otherwise. I don’t know if Bobby would approve, lol, but it’s good stuff
I want to take you shopping with me next time! I love the Oscar Meyer natural oven roasted turkey breast! I’m so glad you approve!!
I am a bit new to your channel but, loving it. I would love to see a video explaining which ingredients are bad and why. Ty
Bobby how do you feel about the Himalayan pink salt you can get from Costco for ppl watching their blood pressure?
Thank you for videos! Learning lots! Will be checking labels more carefully!
Bobby, why do you promote meat when it is known to clog arteries? Meat is extremely unhealthy and your show is suppose to be a healthy eating guide. So sorry to see this in your show.
Applegate lunch meats all taste like fish, smell like it too. I wouldn’t eat it.it’s also slimy. Kretchmar is the best.
Just for the heck of it you should walk down the toilet paper aisle
“I recommend this guide:
havy.best/ikf-guide/50i
So grateful it exists.”
I love these videos, however I get so nervous while I’m watching waiting for someone to catch you.
No more roundup made by Monsanto
In January 2019, Costco decided to stop carrying Roundup or other glyphosate-based herbicides. The decision was reportedly influenced in part by the public court cases. In March 2019, a man was awarded $80 million (later cut to $26 million on appeal) in a lawsuit claiming Roundup was a substantial factor in his cancer.
Just leave the meat alone. No one wants shit added to it. It needs to be natural and real
So here is a suggestion for another series of videos..produce. Talk about different kinds of tomatoes, potatoes, pears, greens, mushrooms, etc. Which are best to cook with, eat raw, juice; which you need to buy organic, which are ok if they are greenhouse/hydroponic; how best to store in refrigerator, countertop or freezer.
I suggest you start with tomatoes… most options, like Roma for cooking, beefsteak for stuffing and Campari for salads. Talk about difference in sugar content and acidity between brands. Too many people think they do not like tomatoes because they only tried one kind
All processed meats including and especially hamburger are garbage meat. AVOID!!!!!
Lips and assholes…that’s from some movie but I can’t remember.
Watched that book on Netflix…was really good, wish there were more episodes
Nitrates are NOT known carcinogens. Look up the research rather than remember the News hype from the 80’s.
Thank God for good, honest and brave people like you. May your message continue to resonate across to people. Well done, thank you
Buy joints and cut them up as you need it for lunch meat. Simple
Where do you get your funny clever T-shirt? Love all of your play on words things, love to buy’m?
Love Amy eggplant parmesan! Love this always looking at the sodium content! Organic & expeller press! Celtic Sea Salt!
8:57 that lady turned the corner real quick to get some learning on foods haha
One thing I would point out, is that those lower quality deli meats that you pointed out, also have a lot of carcinogens.
Sorry Bobby, salt is salt regardless of the source. All those fancy salts don’t have a milligram less of sodium chloride than ordinary table salt. They ALL affect blood pressure. Some people are simply more resistant to salt than other folks. But considering that 74 to 82 Percent (depending on which study you believe) of all people over the age of 65 have high blood pressure salt over time pretty much affects everyone.
I am quite sure MOST people would love to buy the very best meat and such if it were not 10 times the price.
All I saw were reviews on canned goods? I didn’t hear any mention of lunch meats at all.
I just wanna shoutout to the person who’s behind the pun-tastic prints on your shirts one word: genius!!! Well done ☺️
Plastics in the sea salt…w.m. is generally a can of worms!
YOU’RE NOT TOO SMART WHEN IT COMES TO LUNCH MEAT!!! MOST PEOPLE CANNOT AFFORD ORGANIC LUNCH MEAT!! AND ONE MORE THING, IN REALITY ORGANIC FOODS ARE A TOTAL JOKE!!!
The best lunch meat to eat is your home cooked turkey your home cooked ham the stores sell poison
My husband has heart failure so this is up my alley. Thanks✌
Some people can’t have salt because of water retention like heart failure. Pink or any salt is no good. Then stick to no salt
Just a note: For those whose doctors have put them on a low salt diet, they should aim for no more than 1500 mg of sodium a day. The average HEALTHY person shouldn’t have more than 2400 mg. My doctor has not told me to do so, but I am highly sensitive to salt and can gain up to 3-5 lbs in water weight in one day, which makes me very sore and achy. Because of this, I aim for no more than 400-500 mg of sodium in one meal. I love Amy’s but that soup’s sodium content is still too high. Yes, it is considerably better than most canned soups, but Health Valley would still be the better choice for those who MUST watch their sodium. If it isn’t a necessity for their health, then yes, Amy’s is better. What I really miss is asian food. Now that stuff is VERY high sodium if pre-made.
Sometimes you Miss The Good Old Days! The Sodium Nitrates are so HEAVY Handed in the Meats Today! I guess to stop the Germs is the Most important thing for Everyone to think about! The Meat is there but without a Taste or SMELL! I have to change how I eat! AMEN
Majority of people still drink pop and juice with high fructose corn syrup which are the most likely causes of bad health because people do it subconsciously with no issue. When it comes to meat people know what they gettin into but they don’t have discipline
Your dumb, why would I smash the like button and subscribe to you before I even hear your crap? Answer me that einstein.
Buy a Turkey and slice it yourself. Save the cash and eat healthier at the same time! Turkey takes too long?…..Buy a Chicken. Avoid all the shit.
We get way more nitrates/nitrites from vegetables than from cured meats. Associated with cancers in animals but not seen in human studies.
Good information. But you are an As&?/$! Doing this in a public place with out permission of the people and business is a hack. You complain about business doing unethical practices as you are doing the same thing. This some low rent BS!
Sadly applegate he talks so highly of usually still pretty jacked up in sodium.
Redmonds real salt is great and the book the salt fix is great
Omg!!! You just saved my life!!! I have crohns disease and I need to know what I can eat. God has definitely sent you for all of us. Thank you soooo!!! Much
Try to listen and learn. It really is in your own best interest.
I cook food for myself without salt and sugar. Thank you for sharing this video
Really love your videos. My husband and I are older we are trying to change our eating habits. If you could when you show a product you approve of could you show the picture of it a few seconds longer? We take snapshots of the products you recommend and the pictures help us find the correct product at the store. Thank you for helping us with healthier.
What if salt is not the biggest problem, Potassium is…(no tomato, potato, beans, etc.
If processed foods give you cancer why sell them? because Walmart probably thinking about going into the funeral business
on his comment about pink salt https://kidney.org.au/cms_uploads/docs/salt-and-your-kidneys-fact-sheet-kidney-health-australia.pdf
Common salt myths
Some salts are advertised as having special health benefits from the minerals they contain. These include sea salt and Himalayan salt. These salts contain as much sodium as regular salt. The amounts of minerals
present in these salts very small, and can be easily found in a wide range of other healthy foods.
Every since one of my patients introduced me to your site, (with questions about bottle water), I have been interested in hearing what you have to say about the food we eat. Based on your subscriber base, I assume you represent the view of many people looking to improve the quality of their diets. Even though I may not always agree with everything you say, it’s a free country and you can say what you want, as long as it doesn’t do any harm. An example would be the bottled water segment that I first commented on. In my professional opinion, the information you provided was based on junk science, but did no harm. On the positive side, I do agree with many of your ideas, especially when it comes to highly processed foods and sugars.
This salt segment however, is another story. Here much of the information you provide is not only wrong, but potentially dangerous. In particular, at 14:00 and 16:29 you claim that Himalayan, or Celtic salts won’t spike blood pressure. This statement has absolutely no basis in fact and is 100% wrong! Sodium Chloride (salt), in any form will spike BP in susceptible patients. By making such a statement you are coming dangerously close to providing medical advice and potentially harming patients who have been advised by their doctors to avoid salt. These would include those with kidney and cardiac problems, among others.
As far as BP is concerned, salt, is salt. It doesn’t matter if it’s iodized table salt, (which by the way is essential in many parts of the world), kosher salt, or some exotic sea salt. All table salt is contains roughly 39% sodium and 61% chloride, by weight. Generally speaking, a gram of kosher salt will have the same amount of sodium as a gram of sea salt. The trace amounts of minerals, and potassium found in so called “sea salt” are insignificant in terms of a salt’s sodium content and has no protective effect on BP.
Before you make such unfounded statements in the future, where you could potentially do harm to someone, I would suggest that you do a bit of self-study and / or consult with credentialed medical professionals. Try to avoid conformation bias. Becoming a Google expert is not a substitute for sound medical, or nutritional education. There is a reason that MD’s, RN’s and RD’s require many years of study and licensure before providing advice. I’m obviously not saying you need to go that far, but a bit of formal nutritional education might not hurt!
on occasion, I get beef bologna, turkey sausage patties, and turkey bacon. Grits goes great with the latter. There will never been box mac and cheese in my house. i fix my mac and cheese and layered like mozzarella.
I do not eat ham or any pork.
Salt does not cause high blood pressure. Being over weight (too much stored energy), a high sugar and high carbohydrate diet causes high blood pressure and if not dealt with will cause hypertension.
Get rid of the sugar and carbs, get to your recommended weight and your blood pressure will become normal, as will your kidney and liver function.
You forgot that some people with heart issues are told to eat low salt.
There is no food at the grocery stores people are going crazy.
She sounds like a professional food nutritionist and doctor
I wanted to see something with a meat and cheese board but what about the amount of deli meats eaten % per day causing cancer? Do you agree?
Thank you for doing this video. It is very difficult to keep to a very low sodium and potassium diet. You showed me a lot of different foods “I am” able to eat. Variety of foods is so important. Meal planning is always a challenge. I am low salt. My husband is not.
Thanks Bobby for doing a video on this topic. I do have high blood pressure and I need to know what foods and spices I can use. My only question is can I use the 365 sea salt? Also I plan on getting some Amy products. Kisses to you Art
I would love to see a cooking video on ways to flavor food on a low to no sodium diet. I use a lot of citrus fruit and even though spicy can spike bp I use peppers. They dont seem to spike my bp but it may for other people. What works for myself to lower bp I drink a lot of hibiscus tea and eat oatmeal with banana and dark berries. High potassium foods.. chia seeds.. drink lots of water and keep stress down.
I’m on a low sodium journey. Recent health issues (and aging) has really shed light on my issue with consuming too much salt. After using FitPal and not cheating at it, as shown me how many issues I have keeping under my sodium intake for the day. By 1pm, I’m already at my limit. How!? This video helped me understand. A list of foods is useful. Being able to make that food and not feel intimidated by making low-sodium meals is priceless.
The best meat, lunch meat or not, to buy is no meat at all. A plant-based diet has been scientifically proven to be best for humans and the planet!
For the tamari I just mix it with water 1:1 ratio and it tastes fine. Still 500mg sodium ber tablespoon though.
Oh man, Oscar Meyer bologna on white bread with processed cheese slices, Miracle Whip, and yellow mustard. Maybe with some lettuce and/or a tomato slice. The sandwich I grew up on!
Thank you, am glad i found your channel i will tey amy’s brand for sure.
I love applegate, I eat their chicken sausages all the time.
Let’s make this easy. LUNCH MEAT: What to buy? NONE OF IT. What to avoid? ALL OF IT. I can’t believe the FDA allows this crap to even be on the shelves of our markets. Then again, I can’t believe it lets 90% of the alleged edibles available in our grocery stores be sold. But let’s face it: if those “foods” were banned, the pharmaceutical companies wouldn’t make nearly the profits they make: cancer drugs, cholesterol drugs, blood pressure, diabetes… they’d all be gone. Man… what a bummer THAT would be…
What about the Boar’s Head brand from Publix? Is it okay when it comes to chicken or turkey?
Regarding pink Himalayan salt, does soley using only this salt not cause Iodine Defficieny?? Because pink salt is low to nill in iodine content. Dont u need an iodine rich salt???
Thank you! Are you a Registered Dietitian? Love all your videos
i dont buy any type of lunch meat… perfer to make my own with real turkey or chicken breast…whole hams, smoked brisket or just about any pig cut…. as far as organic goes…yall should avoid anything with that label on it with a passion… use to drive truck and pick up that stuff…. know the truth…
Obligatory condescendingly self-righteous vegan Youtube video comment.
I’m so surprise Bobby doesn’t get in trouble tell us about the companies what a bad thing they selling! I remember when Oprah got sued from meat company ☹️.
I want to say good video but what about potassium. I feel as if you cant talk about sodium without balancing with potassium. there were some good high potassium/low sodium foods in here and your body needs it to help remove the sodium. Again good video just a comment.
This is a comment re: your insta stories todayI love you guys, I do. But please be mindful of the wording that you are using…”how to naturally protect yourself from viruses”. Yes, there is a lot we know about immune boosting foods etc, however there isn’t enough research on this virus for anyone to be making claims about what can boost your immune system (specifically related to covid19). Please do not feed into misinformation. And it’s a bit late on contributing to the hysteria. Maybe, as a suggestion, from a very avid fan…stick to what you usually do. Leave the medical/health advice specific to coronavirus to medical/health professionals…please. It’s irresponsible to do otherwise.
Hi Bobby! I wanted you to tell us more about the importance of ‘iodine’ in our diets. Heard it’s more available in and can be found in ‘iodine salt’. Are they the only reasonable options?
Hey Bobby, how could the product be any good. Didn’t you say to try to stay away from products that have a laundry list of ingredients oh and btw your looking like you need a “baruom” or “Mansier” Another Sienfield reference
Wish you could do a video focusing on low sodium foods that meniere’s disease sufferers could eat…a lot of this I wouldn’t be able to eat because it has tomato sauce in it or corn.
This is my comment on the dairy and non dairy creamers. I am very NEW and unschooled in the natural good food arena. This site is SO perfect for me because of the upbeat and fun duo making the video. Did not know a stitch about Nut Pods. Will def.try. So many new names of the best foods as well as the names of the better companies out there!! You had me at coconut…..that will be on my list!! Just wondering what the diff. products taste. My taste buds are hard to deal with sometimes
Well, this is my first comment EVER…and first attempt at a Instapot giveaway. Before I go, I want to thank you for your energy and great fund of knowledge. Thanks. Lorraine Person
I lost my left kidney to cancer in 2002 and the right one is only working at GFR 3. A year ago was working at stage 4.
I do no sodium and no sugar no flower of any kind. No veggie growing under ground. Low proteins, olive oil or ghee
I am now addicted to those Himalayan sea salt kettle chips! (I moderation of course) thanks to your videos! Lol!
I really needed to see this. Going to chuck my iodized table salt. TFS!
VERY funny when someone acts like they know what they are talking about but actually have no idea then post it on youtube.
love these satirical videos. keep it up. very funny.
Couldnt find amy’s product in my country. Btw Im from indonesia. Lol
I brought my husband one of those oh snap pickle at target. He had a horrible stomach ache. I know now. . Really was blaming it on the rice.
OMG I have epicly failed on my deli meats! Wow! Thanks for the video. Time to make a change. Thank you!
Look all processed meats are class 1A carcinogens whether they have added ingredients or not. Also, I would say there’s no such thing as humanely raised meat because they all end up in the slaughterhouse to have their throats slit or suffocated in carbon dioxide and these are animals who want to life
Thanks for this video and for all your others. I’m eating healthier.
I love The reactions of other customers when they see you filming.
I went on low sodium about three weeks ago, due to a twisted knee that was very swollen. I thought that all the salt I was eating was not helping it to heal. But I do not cook with a lot of spices and herbs, and find that making recipes is too much work for my simple life. What works for me is to just cook whole foods (meat, chicken, vegs) and eat fresh fruit and nuts, and use salt-less butter. At the table, I take the teeniest pinch of salt and sprinkle it lightly over the entire plate. This serves to give me the taste of every grain of salt as it hits my mouth, as it is on the surface, and I can enjoy almost everything this way. I don’t crave salt any more, and my taste changed after about a week, to where now even a tiny bit of salt like that is almost too much. Same with jelly and jam. It tastes too sweet, even when made with fruit juice. I use a sweet like that on sodium free pancakes/blintz, and who misses the salt? So, no, we don’t have to turn into Julia Childs to eat low sodium. Keeping it simple is often more motivating than restocking the kitchen and buying a few low sodium cook books. Most favorite “recipes” can be modified to low sodium fare, with a bit of imagination and trial and error. You lose your taste for salt, believe it or not, and that is the good news.
Looks like I’ve been eating all the bad stuff for over 20 years. I’m 79 and have never seen the “good” ones you are pushing so I guess I’ll keep going with what I’m used to.
Abla mucho, puso una window of high salt cook, but not give you time to copy. It
Why does no one help. Like they just wait till You Have to go on dialysis before they say anything. Thanks for your help.
WARNING: Processed meats are classified as a “CLASS 1 CARCINOGEN” meaning cancer promoting per Dr. Michael Greger as reported on his free NUTRITIONFACTS.ORG website. CHECK IT OUT FORE YOURSELF.
Low sodium for me because of Restless legs, only 200mg per meal
I realized that salt was killing me and I got off on my own. Immediately, I noticed that I lost water weight and I am feeling great. I still eat less than 1500 mg/day of salt, actually less than that and eat lots of whole foods and alternative seasonings with no salt. This video gives me lots of hope. Actually, there is no way that I would ever want to go back to eating salt again. I feel so much better and happier right now.
Hey there so you two do such an awesome job in informing us, how the quality of our food makes an impact on our bodies..well can you two make a video discussing your own diets and health and when and why you passion for “high quality” food, haha, grew and how is changed your lifestyle
The American Heart Association recommends no more than 2,300 mg a day and moving toward an ideal limit of no more than 1,500 mg per day for most adults. The average american consumes
3,400 mg. All salts are essentially sodium-chloride. Himalayan salt is 95 to 98% sodium chloride. The trace minerals are insignificant at 2% so are unlikely to provide you with any health benefits whatsoever. Table salt is a major dietary source of iodine, so if you’re using pink Himalayan salt, you will need to get iodine from other foods. Not getting enough iodine in your diet can lead to problems with your thyroid and developmental disabilities. That is why in the 1920 it was added to salt. That said, I do appreciate that you are listening to your subscribers and their concerns. Please continue to note the sodium in the products that you discuss in future videos.
Thanks for this video. I’m a long time sub and have learned so much from you. I appreciate the way you repeat in all videos why a certain oil is bad for us. When I hear it 10 times I start to really remember. Also I hear your voice in my head when I shop “that spikes your blood sugar”. LOL. Your fan from Northern CA.
Also, look for cellulose in Parmesan cheese and other food. Cellulose is wood for filler!
Sorry Bobby I don’t like it because it’s hard and heavy and it does not have a pleasing taste, I’m talking about the bread easy Ezekiel
I’m watching this while fried anybody want a big ass sandwich?
Buddig products have been around longer than you have pal…any bologna is crap and we all know that…you don’t get more meat dude, just less fluid…I think you eat ears of corn the long way…
Where do you go to find out what ingredients are good for us??
We need salt. Salt is essential for digestion. Salt can cure leg crams. Salt can prevent highblood pressure
Personally I find whole wheat pasta gross, expensive and hard to digest…. semolina out of Italy is much healthier and tasty… Just watch your serving size
It’s funny the lady in pink at 630 took the wrong kind of meat

Why if you want to be vegan are you buying and consuming fake meat? You make absolutely no sense.
Bought Applegate oven roasted turkey breast today instead of the usual deli sliced! Would not have done so before seeing this video!

You are able to clear kidney disease by eradicating its root cause forever from now Even if you are in “end stage renal failure”.
I could have skipped thru all the no-no’s, & just focused on the bobby-approved ones. keep it simple.

What education or training or credentials do u have to be able to determine what’s healthy or not?
Why did you overlook Amy’s enchiladas using “sunflower OR/AND safflower oil”? You’ve mentioned before when company says and/or it can indicate that why don’t have a good idea of what they’re using.
Bobby can you please do a high sodium foods because I have to be on a high sodium diet.

Protein is absolutely essential, including for the healing and maintenance of the kidneys…. Doc, what you should say is that the KIND of protein is what’s essential here. No red meat, no white meat, No tin fish. However, small amounts of organic or wild fresh fish; or fermented proteins such as Lacto Fermented nuts and seeds, Live fermented yogurt, and plenty of raw fruits and vegetables and also root vegetables like beetroot, Turmeric and Garlic, Carrots are fantastic for CKD patients. So in Summary, Proteins ARE essential for the LIFE of the Cells in the kidneys for maintenance and repair. However proteins should be easily digestible like the ones mentioned above, and in moderate amounts. Go green……dont worry about the potassium levels as long as you stick to wholefoods you are more likely to be ok. The REAL danger lies with supplements. DONT take supplements Especially the minerals containing Calcium, Iron, Copper, Vit A, etc…Because most often these come in forms that arn’t easily digestible and they place extra strain on your kidneys. The no 1 food in your diet should be Green leafy vegetables & Fruits. Avoid all processed and packaged foods in boxes and TINS!!!!!!!!!!!!! All these added preservatives, salt and colorings will HARM you!!!!!!!!! Stick mostly to PLANT foods that are WHOLE and unrefined. Limit your intake of grains and if you DO eat grains, make sure that you ALWAYS pre-soak your grains over night, rinse and then boil. Kidney Disease patients should cook their food as little as possible, and steaming & boiling is BEST. Avoid Cheese, because the renal-acid load is extremely HIGH. Get into the sun 3-4 times a week, exposing your arms and leg skin to direct sunlight for 10-15 min between 10-12am. This will push up your Vit D levels and increase overall good health and immune system. Get your green plants in by making a green Mustard leaf smoothie (3-5 cups) per day. Light but regular exercise is also very important for proper detoxification and reducing the load on your kidneys. Drink plenty of filtered water. Drink Green tea in moderation. Learn to make your own fermented sour bread with seeds like pumpkin, sunflower and flax and WHEAT FREE flour like Millet, Tapioka and Green Beans with raisins. Learn to make your own HOME-made Yogurt. DONT eat any food containing MILK or Wheat (but plain live yogurt is fine). Dont Use normal table salt use sea salt or Himalays Salt. Avoid cooking oils and Butter as much as possible Use fresh coconut milk instead. No peanuts, Now in fact NO nuts and NO seeds, unless they are fermented and then cooked. Bless you!! Healing is YOURS!!!!!!
Okay a little confused here. If 400 mg of sodium is 1/3 of your sodium for the day you are not eating enough sodium. The minimum sodium per day is 1500 mg for proper absorption of water, Very Important. When I was released from the hospital my heart specialist put me on a 2.4 grams of salt per day diet, which is 2400 mg. Pretty easy to work with. I had a hard time at first even getting up to the minimum of 1500mg because I was being too cautious. Too little salt is just as dangerous as too much.
