Ingredients 1/4 cup toasted whole almonds 2 tablespoons flaxseeds 1/4 cup low-FODMAP bread crumbs (see how-to below) 1/8 teaspoon salt 1/4 rounded teaspoon dried thyme leaves 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper 1/4 cup finely minced scallions, green parts only 1 teaspoon lemon zest 1 1/2 pounds salmon.Baked Salmon With Almond Flaxseed Crumbs Yields: 5 (5 ounces each) This recipe combines the crunch of nuts and flaxseed with the texture of tender salmon for a main dish with lots of anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids. The bulbs of the scallions are a source of FODMAPs, so using only the scallion greens in this recipe keeps it IBS-friendly.directions Preheat oven to 425 degrees F and spray a sheet pan with nonstick cooking spray.

the problem with the aluminum sheet especially when you put lemon juice which is acidic knowing that the acid will react with the aluminum and some of it will dissolve in the lemon juice, aluminum is extremely toxic to the body, i like your recipe just take off that aluminum part

Never cook with aluminum foil especially like that. Put a saran rap plastic first and then use the foil over it. Do some research, Aluminum foil should be banned. I actually never use it because you are basically eating aluminum because when heated it flakes of onto the food and that alloy is very dangerous to eat. check it out!
This would make a great meal prep. I could just form them and separate them individually with parchment paper and freeze them.

Dude, i’ve been following you for quite a while but this dish was disappointing. Maybe it was how I made it but the Dijon was just too overwhelming for me. My wife and son enjoyed it but I have have that awful smell in my nose. I love your other recipes but I will be staying away from this indefinitely.
I made this tonight. Only ingredient I didn’t have was the arrowroot (substituted for all-purpose flour). I use a can spinach. I felt that the Dijon over power the sauce. Is it supposed to taste that way?

I’ve seen Maple Syrup as a no-no on the FODMAP Diet,bc A) it’s a sugar even though it’s natural and B)it’s sligthly higher in fructose than glucose,especially fructose is supposed to cause digestive problems/malabsorption.
At least that’s what I’ve been told….kinda confusing.

I wish you would use a spatula to remove ingredients from a measuring spoon. It is really gross. And please consider getting kitchen gloves to mix food by hand of a spoon isn’t an option. So disgusting thinking what you may have under you fingernails. Eeeewwww

Unbelievable fight on the table last night over the last patty! Husband and eldest son argued who needed more protein! One in training for the triathlon or a growing boy. In the end they had half each. Made it with tinned salmon as we had some in the pantry, delicious but will make it with fresh salmon. Thumbs up.
Hi Papa G, I love salmon and have a pistachio recipe that is almost identical to this one, a bit different in prep method, but same concept. I did not think of using pecans with salmon, but will give your adaptation a try next time I have pecans in the house.

This is a keeper. I used two salmon fillets. I exchanged the cayenne pepper with smoked paprika and chili powder. For one of the fillets, I added parmesan cheese to the mayo mixture. I prefer the additional cheese, but both fillets were good.

Yes, it is incredible useful to use aluminum foil to cook as long as you don’t t cook anything with acidic ingredients with it. So don’t use it with tomatoes, lemon, vinagre, etc. That is bad for your health.
