I’m so glad that Aldi sells whole milk plain yogurt. I have it almost every day with a couple tablespoons of my healthy low carb fruit slurry. ( Fresh blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, black berries, blended, strained and frozen or refridgerated)

I used to make tuna fish pickle boats. Sooooo good and low carb. Get a large pickle, cut it down the long way, carve out the middle, use it for relish, make your tuna, and put the tuna in the hollow pickle halves. Bam.

For about 2 months I have added 1 tablespoon of MCT to my first cup of coffee. I, for sure, have noticed morning energy and focus. It works well for me. Been focusing into a more keto diet for the improved energy and endurance while backpacking. Also keto meals are less weight per calories which is a benefit.

Thanks. The bacon-nitrosamine link has been debunked though. One would need to consume about 2000 pounds of bacon per month to produce enough nitrosamines to pose a tangible cancer risk. That’s in the absence of the mitigating influence of vegetables. So no worries on bacon.
One should not snack on Keto. Food moves insulin. Better study what this diet does to our bodies.

I buy plain Fage’ 2% for my smoothies. Different recipes using berries, nuts, stevia, spices, etc. YUM! Same carb count as the Fage’ Total but you save calories/fat. (I knowcalories & fat don’t matter but for the same carb count, why not? I get plenty of fats elsewhere.:)) Thanks Dr. Becky! I love all these suggestions.

I never have any problem with snacking given my 22/2 lifestyle but I am always looking for quick foods if I’m in a situation when making a meal isn’t possible.
For anyone wondering why there’s so much fat in these recipes. Keto is a High fat, low carb eating lifestlye. Your body has 3 main sources of energy. Fat, Muscle, Carbs. Carbs take priority in this situation. But if you remove carbs from the cutting board. You have Fat & Muscle left. So now your body notices that there aren’t enough carbs to to use them as energy. So it switches over to fat. It’s an extremely ironic, but basically you’re eating fat to burn fat. Just make sure you’re eating a lot more fatty than leany. Cause you don’t want the body to be taking your muscle as energy. Now I will agree there are far more healthier ways to do keto than mostly cheese. Hell, there are Vegetarians and Vegans on keto. But this isn’t for everyone. Everyone takes to everything differently, some people feel horrible and some people feel amazing. But if you are doing it correctly you are 100% safe and healthy

In the UK we have a snack called “Pork Scratchings” <1 carb per 45g packet. It's clearly processed with these ingredients Pork Rind, Pork Fat, Seasoning containing (Salt, Flavour Enhancer: Monosodium Glutamate; Hydrolysed Soya Protein, Rusk (Wheat Flour, Salt), Dextrose), Made with 315g Raw Pork Rind and nutitional values of 1.6g od carbs, 46.5g of Fat and 49.5g of protein per 100g. The processed part is not so good I guess but very tasty, and it also has 3g of salt. They are really lovely!
Good ideas. Instead of yogurt I make kefir. It has carbs like yogurt but seems more filling and is a stronger probiotic. An alternative to bacon is oven baked pork belly.
My fave is plain Greek yogurt with frozen blueberries. Tastes like frozen yogurt, dessert for breakfast.

I love all of the snack ideas in this video for Keto dieters, especially the nut butters, and the dips, but what can I eat with them? Unfortunately I don’t know how to bake. Are there any alternatives that I can purchase at Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s? So far I’ve been doing IF since May and Keto since Jujy 23. I’m seeing results already but I feel like I’m eating the same thing every day. I’m someone who needs variety. Please help

Recently started to drink bulletproof coffee which keeps me fuller for longer.
