Don’t believe anything anyone says about a diet before they at least properly define the diet. More often than not, the low carb diet comparisons are generally using a lower high carb diet, not anywhere near what low carbers consider low carb: < 10%

You dont “need” carbohydrates. They’re non “essential”

Diet Plan known as Custokebon Secrets kept appearing here on many youtube and I thought they were scams. However after my cousin follow it, and finally lost plenty of weight with it without starving herself. I’m persuaded. Do not take my own word for it, search for Custokebon Secrets on the google search engine.
the most effective diet for me was not a diet at all. My diet is I can eat whatever I want but when I hit 1200 calories I have to stop. Can’t have anymore food for the rest of the day. I only eat breakfast and supper at 4- 4:30 and 2 small snacks in between. It is so easy. I’ve dropped upwards of 5lb in a week healthily. fasting is good for you and I spend about 16-17 hours in a fasting state every day and I only eat between 10 AM and 5. 7 hours. The rest of the time I am fasting.

i dont consider olives, avocados, or tomatoes to be fruit. they may be from a scientific point of view, but from a nutritional point of view, avocados are far more like nuts, while tomatoes are far more like vegetables. far more importantly, though, was one of the very last things that the lady in the video said here, namely that nutritionally, one does not really need fruits, that vegetables already have all the nutrients that fruits have, but with the added advantage that vegetables are not considered to be a form of sugar the way fruits are. still, there remains a part of me that thinks, “how can fruit possibly not be healthy to eat?” it seems to defy common sense

My concern about watermelon and other melons, is the fructose. Berries are mostly glucose as well as grapefruit and lemons and lime. Fructose is much worse than glucose. Melon is highly not recommended by me on keto.

FYI He died due to slipping on the ice of a New York sidewalk. If you are talking about his genetic heart condition, I doubt he would even say low carb could change one’s genes. If you are genetically predisposed to being short, you will likely be short on Atkins. And if you want to name drop doctors, the list of ketogenic diet supporting doctors is only growing.
It may be that living a low carb lifestyle is a skill that must be developed over time. Just like anything else, your not very good at doing anything at first but over time you get better and better. That may be the key. Trial and error until you find what works for you. A Korean friend once told me it takes about 30 days for your body to properly adapt to a new way of eating. So don’t expect to be an expert at low carb living over night. It takes time. However don’t forget to drink lots and lots of water. Most people don’t drink anything even remotely close to enough water. It’s really basic but so very vital to healthy living. You need that water to flush your system out of all the toxins in the digestive system. All those chemical reactions to convert food to energy produce waste and that waste needs to be flushed out every day.
So… someone with kidney or liver problems shouldn’t eat a high protein diet? How about the people with high blood pressure from a normal carb diet, the normal carb diet has destroyed their liver and kidneys over the years causing type 2 diabetes. It’s a proven fact that a regular carb diet causes everything from poor eyesight to organ failure in later years. Jeese I wonder why the Japanese have such a long life span eating high protein meals from fish and good nutrition from root vegetables and green leafy vegetables.

I cannot get into burning weight on this kinosis diet. I did lose 167 lb keeping my carbs to 25 per meal. But it’s 61 my body is just not moving any of that weight. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but have you noticed that it’s always big pharma telling you not to do something that actually works. For example, low carb diet has proven to help you lose weight and become more healthy, there are a million people who have done it successfully and have been unsuccessful on a low fat diet. They can’t make money on healthy people with no medical conditions so they keep peddling their crap to keep you going to the doctor for more and more medications that don’t help.

carbohydrates is only your main source of fuel if that’s what you eat most. your body likes fat just fine, especially your pancreas.i’m left with the impression that most people that spew this crap about “high protein” diets (they’re really referring to low carb eating) have never eaten low carb/high fat. look for gary taubes in google videos if you want more insightful information.

What about Pomegranate juice? I would like to start drinking one cup daily and it’s not concentrated its straight up Pomegranate juice no additive no additional sugar. I would like to drink it because of the health benefits I know it high in natural sugar and carbs. But my daily sugar and carb intake is super low from what I eat daily my only carbs and sugar come from my vegetables.

That’s one of the reasons the Atkins Diet is a high fat, moderate protein diet.
Where this video deviates from the truth is when it starts talking about carbohydrates and their necessity. The body through gluconeogenesis is able to produce whatever carbs are needed, and personally after 5 years my brain and other organs haven’t needed more than 30-50g per day.
I am sorry you are off base with your low fat approach. I would encourage watching my videos to clear up the misconceptions.

Caution: low carb does NOT equal keto! Please read through some of these studies quoted by medical experts (if they even post them) and you’ll find that they are referring to diets with around 20% of calories coming from carbohydrates (any carbohydrate) and sometimes high protein, which is more than enough to keep insulin levels high and cause problems.

I dry cook my cauliflower in a pan with nothing until it dries out and loses some of the cauliflower taste then add seasonings.It really tastes and feels more like rice.Im definately trying this except using black olives, i don’t like the saltyness of green olives.

I didnt eat clean keto and regret it now. I ate dirty keto for a year and it put strain on my gallbladder. Now I’m awaiting surgery soon. This sucks! If your going on keto please stay away from all that animal grease.
Low fat diet has gotten me nowhere, except overweight. Low carb diet (healthy fat) with intermittent fasting has been a game changer for me. Only carbs I eat are veggies, 1 low GCI fruit per day, and oatmeal every other day with flax seed and cinnamon. Not going back to the bullshit spouted from the “medical community”.

OK, it is apparent you can’t talk like an adult. Fatkins? Ad hominem attacks on a person’s name doesn’t reflect well. I have no problem with someone doing well on a plant based diet. I am always astonished that the same respect is not offered towards me. FYI I run 45 miles per week or more, and actually have a marathon scheduled in 8 days. “Vibrant and lean” are not solely the domain of plant eaters.
FYI just to edify you, Dr. Atkins played tennis 5 days a week.
I think any long -term diet restriction is unhealthy for you, and difficult to stick with anyway. A balanced diet of natural foods that are not made in factory and exercise always works long term. Low Carb/Low Fat work short-term for many, but I ALWAYS hear about people gaining back the weight. There is no “magic” diet other than natural foods eaten in moderation and in balance.

I use a food processor to cut up my cauliflower and save all the cores in a freezer bag and when I have enough i boil them and puree them and make a creamy soup with them. Cauliflower’s here are about $.350 each and I don’t waste any of it.

I always defaulted to the mediterraian “diet” its balanced in a lot of ways and your not cutting much out. Many middle eastern dishes are really good and not processed. Basically anything processed is bad just have to be moderate about it.
I can some it all up with one word.
“Moderation”. Get enough nutrition but not too much or too little in any one category.
I did this diet since 2010 and for 3 months of those beginnings ive lost more than 70 lbs but was a bit unhealthy because i was eating on low proteins too so it was a bit of a crash diet
12 weeks on keto, down 30 lbs. wife down 19. We have also cut down our caloric intake a lot which obviously also helps.
Original goal was for 40 lbs. weight loss. New goal is 60 lbs. that will be from 243 to 183.
