Many people with diabetes follow a low carb diet because it can help improve their diabetes control and also help them lose weight (if needed). A couple of studies support this theory. In one study published this year, 316 people who followed a very low carb diet – 5% of total daily calories – reduced their average A1C to 5.7%.
Research on lower-CHO diets have shown improvements in people with type 1 diabetes, including lowerA1Clevels(average blood glucose levels over three months), reduced insulin requirements, less glucose variability, and weight loss. Low-carb bread is typically made with a lot of dietary fiber (which is indigestible and doesn’t affect blood sugars) and/or nut flours (which are higher in fat but lower in carbs than regular flour).. Saw a cookbook for diabetes published in 1916. Type I. No: macaroni, bread, pie, cakes, potatoes, sugar. Seems like we took a giant step back to finally take a step forward. Ol timey docs had the anecdotal evidence but not the scientific evidence
yep. even i was very sad since i workout well for abs but nothing was coming. Listen I saw an interview with body building champion where he talks about 7 odd foods he eats to keep his abs hard. have a look here => PALEODIET.WEB44.NET
I’m back low-carbing since I put on 10 pounds during lockdown. I avoid coconut and almond flour baked goods as they seem to trigger my desire for regular bread. I do eat a small amount of very dark chocolate each day https://www.walmart.com/ip/Sam-s-Choice-90-Cocoa-Swiss-Dark-Chocolate-3-5-oz/742843533 Only 1 carb per 3 squares. It’s my only “cheat” and I’m still losing nearly a pound every 4 or 5 days. Dr. Hallberg, you’re fantastic. I did read that you were diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and I’m praying for you. You’ve changed so many lives. Thank you.
Good that this doctor has reversed peoples diabetes but other doctors have done the same using carbohydrates and not meat and fats. It seems one key is to cut down your food intake and to reduce industrial products such as GMO high fructose corn syrup and the like. Get back to natural foods rather than foods processed so they dont resemble the materials they come from. Medications apparently are the slippery road to more medications and losing the chance your body will recover naturally.
Is it safe for an 81 years old (14 years) diabetic to go on a low carb diet to lower his blood sugar levels etc., and would it affect his kidney function???? I would dearly like a reply..thank you.
The impact Covid19 is having on the Western world too many metabolically sick!
If I can get my insulin down will my LDL-C and my LDL-P go down.? Keto 21 months.
With traditional medicine, diabetes will never be curable permanently. Thankfully there is a tested scientific technique to cure diabetes naturally
Thanks Sarah. but this is a Failure of the USDA… and have been going on for 150 years, we are just now seeing the Epigenetic affects..

Does this apply to type 1 diabetics who have insulin resistance??
Just curious, I’m confused about “quinoa”, is it a no no here, being that it is actually a seed and not a grain. Is it a damaging carb?
She’s a shill for the Keto™ industry, and anyone who takes her advice is a fool. Literally everything she said here, is completely wrong. Not only will carbs not cause obesity, they will lower the rates of it. The more carbohydrate a person eats, as a proportion of calories, the easier time they will have maintaining an ideal bodyweight. Additionally, the higher the carbohydrate intake, the greater insulin sensitivity will be. I have two words for this “Doctor,” WALTER. KEMPNER. He literally cured people from metabolic syndrome with a diet of 90% carbohydrate, from white rice, table sugar, and fruit juice. How does our good doctor explain that? The thing is, she won’t, and can’t, without admitting that she’s selling pseudoscience.
Diagnosed 2.5 years ago with T2 diabetes, (around 7.0 A1c.) Immediately I went on a LCHF diet of approximately 20 net grams of carbs per day. Within 90 days I had an A1c of approximately 5.2. My A1c, or any daily BG measurement for that matter, has been stable at 5.1 5.3 or norma,l since then. Never once has it been out of that range since. That is a reversal of type 2 diabetes, I think. (Also lost 55 lbs during this period and no more diabetic drugs, including 3 other drugs working currently on coming off the 4th drug.)
Walter Kempner. Nathan Pritikin. John McDougall. Explain the RESOUNDING successes of their respective health clinics in treating diabetes with a high carb low fat diet. You can’t, can you?
Here’s the thing, low carb diets improve blood sugar numbers, giving the illusion of better health. However, these people suffer just as many long term health complications as those who allowed their glycemia to remain uncontrolled. A low fat, high carb, whole food, vegan or nearly vegan diet, is THE cure for diabetes. To believe otherwise is delusional.
She certainly needs to debate that smarmy doc Dr Katz who says there’s no evidence of LCHF working and planted-based diet is better.
One thing found in recent studies is that statins can be causing people to have Type 2 diabetes. Study came out back in March. People can have a 50% increase in the chance of getting Type 2.
That’s significant.
https://www.healthline.com/health-news/statins-may-increase-risk-of-type-2-diabetes
I have just began my kito dight (2weeks) I really I feel so much better than before thanks so much for advertising….
I can’t find any other conditions Metformin treats other than type 2 diabetes PCOS, diabetes during pregnancy, and prevention of diabetes so according to WebMD and Google there are NO OTHER CONDITIONS METFOMIN TREATS. SO THE PEOPLE IN THE TRIAL WERE STILL TAKING DIABETES MEDICATION.
Metformin isn’t really helping, but I am staying with it for a few more months….KETO and LCHF is the only way I am dropping my blood sugar. Looking forward to A1C in November!!!
Ketones diet is a miracle but some people can not commit to good diet I have taken control my sugar great thanks to professionals people in YouTube not my doctor who like drugs my big thanks goes to Dr Eric Berg
You need a sure guide for this too, I recommend dietbook.best
Choice should be at the patient level. I love Metformin. Many of my beta cells have probably differentiated, and I need Metformin to lose weight, to keep it off, and to keep my HBA1C at a decent level. I didn’t need it for years, but now I do in conjunction with a low carb diet. Every one is different. Everyone is at a different stage of the problem. If I were to go off Metformin, both my weight and blood sugar would rise. Right now my BMI is in the non overweight category. I still need to reduce my waist size, so I need to lose more weight for that and to see if my HBA1C can be improved more. My triglicerides are 69, the lowest they have ever been. MY HDL is the best it has ever been. My doctor doesn’t believe in low carb diets, but I know better and ignore her on that. She also complains about high LDL, totally missing the forest for the trees: how good my other numbers are. When I had low LDL (before low carb) I also had extremely low HDL.
She omitted a 4th way to reverse t2 diabetes: a low fat plant based diet. Biased perhaps????
Here a video response to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1iO2eK4MoE
I’m a little confused. I’ve reviewed some of the meta-analyses and studies.
Everything I’ve reviewed thus far shows results that reverses diabetes (measured blood glucose
Nothing reviewed is proving that “insulin resistance” of muscle cells. Study results are just confirming that fasting insulin measured in the blood is low because low carbs are eaten.
Sooo….Diabetes can be “in remission” yet patients can still be insulin resistant. So we’ve just go around the issue not actually fixed the issue??
Whatever, my A1C is 4.4
Brilliant talk!!! I love Dr Sarah’s enthusiasm and her emphasis on patient choice. She knows what she is talking about. Such a change from the Docs I see.
Sarah and other doctors like her who break with the pack and follow truth where ever it leads them are heroes in my book. Keto has been a life changer for me. I just wished I had known the truth decades ago before so much damage had been done. Looking back I had many of the signs of insulin resistance but because my BG readings with “within range” my doctor never raised any red flags. I can remember going to him about 20 years or more ago complaining of being tired, especially after lunch. He told me I was eating too much protein at lunch. Can you believe it?
I hate her cultish passion. Kindly direct me to similar material that’s far less emotional, less frantic.
Keto or low carb will not reverse diabetes if you overeat calories.
29 years T2D and then went keto. No insulin, numbers around 100 and A1C of 5.5. Quit insulin in 1 month.
Apart from bread, pasta, potatoes, rise and sugar(s), what else is forbidden? I don’t know where the carbohydrates are? Thanks!
I have a bias too. I have been successfully managing my T2D for 21 years with keto diets starting with Atkins. If you want to see my 21 year before/after story go to Dr Eric Berg’s before after stories webpage recently posted. The name says Peter C.
The concern I have with the emergent nature of the crisis of Type II diabetes is the challenge of motivating millions of patients people that (wrongfully) consider themselves healthy to make change. If someone doesn’t feel sick, they see no reason to change say nothing about changing something so fundamental as what they eat and drink. I find that CardioMetabolic panels are helpful to SHOW patients their problem, but even that sometimes takes convincing to get. Love the video!
Excellent presentation! LCHF has worked for me for over 1 year. It’s good to finally see official acceptance.
Being a type 1 Diabetic, eating low carb for me has definitely helped a lot! I would recommend this diet but eating too much protein can have a negative impact on B.S levels so keep that in mind! But in general I feel this is great and it is about finding your own balance as we are all unique!
Just because you went on a low carb diet and you sugar went back to normal does not mean you reversed your diabetes! Reversing diabetes means being able to eat all the carbs you want again with no problem.
They are pretending to be credible. They are actually mad that they will lose their income base.
Woo! I’ll take it. I look forward to day New York State will let my insurance pay for microbiome testing. It’ll happen. The internet is what changed it all by making health information more transparent more rapidly. People are more well versed in their own health. So I’ll say, Good job, ADA
I’ve been waiting to hear the two year Virta Health results, and they’re just as good as I anticipated! Great work Dr. Hallberg! I’ll always be forever grateful for her Ted Talk that led me to keto 3.5 years ago.
Some observations:
Interesting that at the beginning she doesn’t show any comparisons to vegan, vegetarian, low-fat or whole-food, plant-based diets. Can’t believe there aren’t studies of that type.
Nice spin attempt regarding the use of metformin. Sorry, didn’t buy it. Invalidates study IMO.
For diets of all types claiming to improve or reverse type 2 diabetes, I am always curious about the correlation of the results to weight loss. I suspect it is very high. It then comes down to losing the weight and keeping it off and, yeah, if you are in constant contact with the patient, beating them over the head about their diet, then you can probably show sustained results while you are doing that.
I didn’t hear much about markers related to cardio-vascular disease and inflammation. Seems pretty important to cover for a keto diet.
Great lecture. Amazing how standard of care is changing, thank God. How can I get a copy of the BMJ OPEN article on Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Decease. I was diagnose diabetes 20 years ago. I have been doing the Keto diet for 1.5 months. Insuline use has dropped from 120 units per day to 70 units per day. I live in Costa Rica, and no doctor has the knowledge that is presented in Mrs. Hallberg lectures. We are in dark ages here. Need some advise on how to manage the reduction of insuline. Thanks
Wow…that’s pretty much crystal clear, in your face info. Thank, doc!
There’s actually one more way to cure diabetes 2. It’s ironically an extremely high carb high sugar low fat diet. We don’t yet know why it works and it’s a far more austere diet than keto or even carnivore.
Dr. Hallberg helped me save my life…twice.
I found her 2015 TEDTalk after researching how to reverse the Type 2 Diabetes diagnosis for both my son and myself (our A1Cs were over 9 in June 2016). That video helped both of us (and my entire family) walk the Keto path. A year later, after a 40+ pound weight loss (each), the Stage 3, Class C HER2+ tumors were located in my breast and right ancillary region. I’d never stared at death like that before but when my oncologist told me how grateful he was to be signing off on curative therapy instead of palliative care, it truly hit home.
I was 352 pounds on a 5’8” frames and wearing 38-42 dress size. I had bariatric surgery (gastric lap band) in April 2007 and lost 50 pounds in four (4) months. It was not successful as I found it much easier to eat a lot of food in conjunction with a good amount of hot liquids (hot coffee or tea) to relax my esophagus. A lot of simple carbs, from ice cream to pastas, were no issue but when it came to eating the food I was supposed to eat due to my anemia, I was constantly blocked. I had the lapband removed 8 years later. With no restriction, I ate and ate.
There was NO control.
Carbs ruled my life and I felt horrible. Keto and Low Carb helped me save my life.
My antigen numbers are at their lowest. I now understand, now that I’ve faced the hardest battles in my life, experienced physical discomfort to a point where I was nearly tired of trying, that food isn’t worth it.
Now, a 20:4 Time Restricted Feeding and Ketogenic Lifestyle are putting things into perspective for me.
Life is Good.
I adore you, Dr. Hallberg.
I am so thankful of your tireless work and energy you put into helping people save their own lives. God Bless you. ❤️
Some important sentiments. Taking any type of drug won’t help especially in long term. Drug ingestion increases the risk of intestinal permiability and autoimmunity.
Am I understanding correctly that you are calling an A1C of 6.5 as being reversal? Confused, that is a damaging average blood sugar of 150+ How many got to the low 5s for A1C?
What if…. insulin resistance is a normal state? What if… going into insulin resistance is meant to happen and that it is not a crisis that it is happening at all? That the human body like bears, are meant to put on weight during insulin resistance, and insulin resistance is not a crisis.
What if…. the the crisis is that we are CONSTANTLY in insulin resistance, and constantly putting on weight?
That’s what I think is going on. That we have access to food year round (fructose, which normally would have only been around in Autumn), that keeps us in a constant state of insulin resistance. And then other things that complicate matters. Other things like gut bacteria, toxic additives in our food, and a history of bad dietary advice from the professionals, and the alcohol that is used to cope with our shitty state of life.
This is logical, it makes sense that this is exactly whats happening, and when we understand, we can fix it.
Bravo! Virta is going to eat modern medicine’s lunch. I am curious about the introduction of time restricted eating over cyclical fasting with your patients. I believe long term treatment would include the introduction of this eating pattern to induce lipolysis. Like most of the food and frequency in the SAD diet, three meals a day do not permit proper metabolic function of lipoprotein lipase expression in adipose and skeletal muscle. Sarcopenia is epidemic in the T2 population with a separate, independent and all told death rate of greater than 20%. Is this going to be a treatment option? I’m coming from a study of a rare childhood disorder of PANK and PPAR. Long term disfunction is both metabolic and neurological. At the same time I am another N=1. Best.
Thank you, as always, Dr. Sher. I appreciate how your bits of info give balance to the media hyped messages being promoted so brazenly out there, as if they alone were the truth. It is frustrating to see how quickly the low carb/keto options are downplayed as “fad”, and play into people’s fears as unsustainable over the long term. Once a person embraces the lifestyle, doing tweaks where necessary, the “long term” becomes so much easier to sustain. My husband and I have been following this lifestyle for over a year, seeing many benefits inside and out and have no desire to go back to our former way of eating.
Plant based might cure heart disease (not) but low carb diet is the only diet proven to reverse T2D, and carnivore is the only diet proven to cure ESV End Stage Veganism.
Keto sure did reverse type 2 diabetes for me, and within just a few months! So thrilled with my current health and life!
I am curious as to what would happen if a patient were to do 2 months of calorie restriction, followed by LCHF.
This book its very good for people with diabetes https://go.hotmart.com/F32716223U
Dr, Hallberg, be careful to stay objective, do not fall I love with your study and the hypothesis your are trying to prove. To not do so looks biased. This type of falling-in-love with your hypothesis is how we got to the cholesterol theory of heart disease. Keep trying to prove your hypothesis WRONG.
Canada has copied almost word for word that AACE guidelines to make its new food guide. It is an abysmal failure that sticks carbs at the forefront to push plant based propaganda. More money in it to feed people the corn and canola oil.
I see you as one of the few pioneers of LCHF, but was little disappointed as you have not been active recently in spreading this on social media like youtube. I request you to find time and please make some new videos as frequently as you can. Thank you.
Sarah Halberg, I love you. You single handedly are responsible for turning my life around. I am a physician with T2D, who saw your TED talk, and sought out Virta because of you. My physician team did not refer me, I found you, signed up and have been a paying Virtahealth patient for 2.2 years. I am not going to say it has been smoothe sailing, and I had a bumpy patch related to stresses in my life and I went off track. But with the help of my Virta team, I am back. Doing LCHF long-term IMO, requires the help of a team. I also by chance recently became reaquainted with a good friend, Dr Rob Cywes, who I had no idea was in this LCHF world (the last time we were friends he was a general pediatric surgeon), and through both my Virtahealth membership and speaking with Rob in detail, am back on track. The one aspect of all of this is the understanding that carbohydrate addiction and the reason we are using carbs, to quote Rob, is because we have a deficient emotional management system. The next breakthroughs, and the next iteration of LCHF, is going to need to incorporate tools to work on the emotional management system in addition to knowing what type of diet to follow.
Aren’r carbs making problems to diabetes victims? If that’s the case, keto is the way to go.
I don’t have diabetes luckily, but I dropped 49 pounds in less than five months eating mostly keto and eating once a day. I’m 6-2 I was 280 now I weigh 231!
My A1C is 5.0 IDK what it was before I started diet though.
As always, Dr. Sarah Hallberg gives some of the most inspirational talks within the low carb space, because she, more than any other physician, can point to the large scale published clinical evidence of the efficacy of the low carb way of eating. As an aside, I recently was having an argument with a vegan, and as is normally the case with ideologues, the back and forth was fruitless. Finally, I linked that vegan to Dr. Hallberg’s past presentations, where she showed the published evidence of the effectiveness of her clinical intervention. It was at this point that this vegan became practically apoplectic with rage. I simply asked him to adduce a vegan study, which had the same large number of participants, where controls ensuring compliance were of similar quality to Dr. Hallberg’s study, which could show the same degree of reversal of diabetes, among the same number of participants, who had diabetes for as long as Dr. Hallberg’s patients had. For those of you who have ever engaged with a rabid vegan online, you could probably guess what happened next. The rhetoric coming from his side devolved into name calling, vulgarity, and groundless accusations that this was all funded by the meat industry. Its so sad that a religious zeal for ones worldview can cause so many to be blind to evidence.
Wish this speech could be shown on TV!! It’s so important for everyone! Very easy to understand!!
If you are overweight type 2 as I was, now down 45 lbs a1c 5.9 weight 165. It took me 4 months of carnivor OMAD to get here. You can do it.:)
I can testify, under oath, that diet CAN reverse full blown T2D. In the spring of 1999 my then wife suffered an adverse reaction to a bariatric surgery and did not eat for 2 weeks. She ate nothing, consumed only water. In 2 weeks time she went from insulin injections to normal sugars and she stayed that way.
They have demonized human food ( animal meat & its fat ) and introduced grains, fruits and seeds!
They have put everything together to sicken as many people as possible!
They have meant to harm you, me and everyone we love!
They want us sick, they want us dependent!
History does NOT lie!
Why would anyone be surprised that the diabetes association would say low carb is bad.?.they would not make millions in pushing medications that actually make this sickness worse and it progresses it into a real dangerous.area…so, if carbs were eliminated the pharma companies and the doctors who are in bed with them could not make big money….people should rise and prevent food manufacturers FIRST from putting sugar in EVERYTHING THEY PRODUCE…it’s unbelivable that a whole world has a DIABETES PROBLEM,,,,ITS THE FOOD THEY EAT FROM THE FOOD PRODUCERS SO LETS NOT ACT SO SURPRISED WHY THERE IS A RISE OF THIS SICKNESS…..
I have been on keto and intermittent fasting for 4 years now and continue to keep my diabetes in reversal. Current A1C is 5.4 and continues to fall with every blood test check.
ce livre est bonpour les personnes atteintes de diabete https://go.hotmart.com/F32716223U
Giving Insulin to a type 2 diabetic is at least as criminal as prescribing Opioids.
Thanks, Tracy Brown, new CEO of the ADA and herself a diabetic who practically conquered diabetes with a low carb diet. You’re going to postpone a lot of deaths.
I’ve been eating near zero carbs for a year now. Best I’ve felt in over 20 years. Down 112 lbs so far. A1C back to normal. Fatty liver gone, edema gone. Blood work fantastic. Is it sustainable? You fraking bet!
Previously the ADA recommended 135-250g of carbs per day. So now they endorse down to 20g of carbs? Or is something else going on?
The CEO of ADA is Type 2 diabetic and found on her ‘own’ that low carb foods is what helped her get off insulin and 3 of 4 pills of which she hopes to get off the 4th by end of the year. She is the FIRST Diabetic CEO of the organization in 80 years! She is trying to steer a huge steamer so it may take awhile to turn it around.
I usually don’t post, but I wanted to share because I was inspired by some of you in these comments. Three months ago my doc said I was at A1C 6.4 and a high fasting rate of 157 blood glucose. I gave low carb a shot, 20 net carbs per day. Today, I got new results after the low carb. 5.1 A1C, 101 glucose. My cholesterol went down 31 points, my triglycerides went down 153 points and I lost 40 lbs. I was slightly over the limit on my liver panel, so I will address that, but those weren’t over the top, probably some fatty liver is what I was told.
HbA1c down from 5.9 to 5.1. Lost 70 pounds. Yeah for Virta Health. No medication.
The blood of millions of people is on their hands. They have lied to and suppressed information from patients. They are guilty of the demise of millions of diabetics. Someday this truth will come out and there will be trials. No one is above the law.
Yep been a fad since Banting in 1863…………………………….. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Banting
50 years of lowering beef consumption (40% lower) and increasing plant matter consumption (50% higher) and they still blame us for “not following their directions”, even though all the data shows that we are…. maybe the instructions are faulty? You can only deny absolute, empirical evidence for so long.
Venturing to say that the low fat high carb diet is the “fad” and that LCHF is kinda going back to the 80 year ago way of eating.
It’s still surprise me just how some people have no clue about Custokebon Secrets (look on google search engine) although many people lost crazy amounts of weight using it. Thanks to my pal who told me about this. I have lost a ton of fat.
LCHF for a year and a half. I admit I never ate junk food or was more than 10 lbs over my ideal weight. It just made so much sense to me I thought I would try it. I see lots of people sadly approach Keto as just a quick weight loss diet with no real understanding of changing their lifestyle. LCHF is not at all difficult or restrictive because you stop craving the very foods that were the problem. I really don’t miss bread, pasta, potatoes and certainly not sweets. I’d never go back to eating carbs.
Red blood cells like sugars
Unlike white blood cells and other cells, red blood cells lack mitochondria. Because of this, they can only utilize glucose for energy.
My bro in law is trying to do low carb/low fat. I have no idea how he’s surviving. I can’t see him continuing this for long.
Oh no, they’re going tell everyone my secret. Sometimes I like being the slimmest woman in the group.
Success on keto Perth Australia lost 39kg over 2 years keto + 20/4 IF an 70 years old
I reversed my diabetes naturally just by following this diet: thebigdiabetes-lie. com (Google it) in a few weeks my health improved noticeably
ADA hit them with a Sludgehammer enough times and they finally get the idea!
Don’t forget, you can have cheese, cream, butter, eggs, fatty meats on a low carb diet.
look back at photo before the 1970s before processed food and the sugar glut, it is our diet that is killing and sickening us. Industrial food is not normal or healthy. Eat real food.
keto and lchf is a great start, but light is far more important for health then food and exercise. Natural vs artificial light.
Yeah, a vegan diet is really easy to follow and maintain.♂️ Yet they endorse that with no problems.
What was that failure rate on a vegan diet again?
It sounds like the ADA is now tolerant of the idea that it would be o.k. for some people to improve their T2D with fewer medications.
Awesome, I’m a type one I’ve been doing ketocarnivore and Intermittent fasting for over 15months and my A1C is 5.1 % I feel good. No hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia events.
keto save my life from mild stroke survivor please hug back my channel
Low Carb Diets are difficult to follow because 95% of the available Food Choices In Markets are CRAP Low Nutrient Density & loaded with Insulin-Spiking Carbs, Hidden or Not and new ones are created by the Processed Food Industry Every Day! Just stick with the Nutrient Dense, Low Glycemic, WHOLE Foods.
With all that is available to us here in the USA, only 12.2% are in good metabolic health!! That’s sickening!!

A1C was 12.1. Dropped to 6.5 in 3 months. Now 6.0. My blood work proves it works. Also my kidney and liver numbers greatly improved
Do you do much on fermenting foods and how the increase of fermented food makes it higher in nutrition, and it lowers the carbs, through the fermenting process that vegetables go through when they brake down in this method of preserving vegetables?
Considering how the Food Industry, the Pharma and Government make the Industry of Sickness, it’s a great step for Americans

Its still amaze me just how some people do not know about Custokebon Secrets (just google search it) although lots of people lost a ton of weight using it. Thanks to my personal mate who told me about it. I’ve lost lots of fat.
Neanderthal man did not eat bread. He ate meat and drank the marrow. He did not know fruit. His energy primarily came from the synthesis from meat to energy. Neanderthal mans lifestyle was horrific to modern man…modern man needs fruit. He can eat grains. But he chooses to eat too much of grains. And he eats bad meat or too much or too little meat. He is a mess.
The stupid educators say 3000 calories?! You shall become a pig very quickly! I advise 1300 calories. Half from meat, half grain. Have a little fruit, nuts. Now get half calories from meat and half from carbo.
That’s it 😉
Here is the way;
300 calories first meal
150 calories snack
300 calories second meal
150 calories snack
300 calories their meal
😉
Remove 90% of all white or processed sugars! Brown sugar is fine 😉
To your health!
What the ADA and doctors will have to come to understand is that you must become a fat burner to obtain glucose control. Of course the best way to do this a very low carb diet.
Excellent news. Let’s hope the ripple effect is wide. Thank you muchly for sharing this important information with us all. & Take care off yourself too. ❤️
Anyone tried the Custokebon Secrets? I have heard some incredible things about it and my cooworker lost crazy amounts of weight with Custokebon Secrets (search on google).
I read plenty of great reviews on the net about how Custokebon Secrets (look on google search engine) can help you lost a ton of weight. Has anybody tried this popular weight loss secrets?
Sorry but can I ask what happened to your eye brows? I have never seen anything like that
Unfortunately, the nine studies all had tiny sample sizes (seven studies had less than ten participants, and the other two had only 48 and 49 respectively) and defined “low-carb” differently so it’s really like comparing apples to oranges. However, it does highlight the pressing need for a proper study on the topic!
Hello. I am James from Norway. I wish to narrate how I was completely healed from Diabetes type 2 via a naturopathic herbal method.
My mom had suffered from diabetes Mellitus and which had resulted to her early death when I was toddler. I have also lived to have suffered, unbeknownst, from this terrible ailment in my youth age, and of which has resulted to several health complications I had experienced in my life time. My right hand had been amputated at twenty-three, at the worsening of my predicament, in which was when I had first realized I was suffering from this debilitating disease. I was thus, placed on an insulin medication as I also had maintained a healthy diet and regular exercises. This mode of treatment had persisted a long time without any rightful hope for a healthy personality in the future. I was dying piecemeal, and of all qualities I had desired for was to become a normal person again. I prayed and never had stop believing Providence was preparing better opportunities on my behalf.
It was during my endless search for a positive remedy for my condition that I had stumbled upon the marvelous herbal works of Dr. Harry Obiego and his everlasting motive in eliminating all viral diseases naturally. This African herbalist of whom I had realized was also a natural healer and activist of the herbal works Dr. Sebi. I was very relieved at receiving this piece of information as I was very tempted to contact this African natural healer Dr. Harry Obiego in relation to the betterment of my condition. I had given this herbal doctor every piece of information he had needed to save my life and I was highly marveled at his generosity in wanting to help me attain a normal life again. I had followed his herbal recommendations of which after a few weeks I had soon to start seeing good changes in my health life. It was too real to be true, but it was as when I was later diagnosed to be un-diabetic.
This miraculous change in my health life had occurred few months ago and I am very much as pleased to share this piece of information every moment because it means so much me as to be healthy again, and I know inwardly, that it would also mean so much to other people who happen to be suffering from this disease and would also prefer a normal life too. I wish to use this message to give confidence to those who would by chance happen to come across this information to be hopeful and find a confidant like Dr. Harry Obiego in overcoming their health problems. You can be healthy today for a healthier tomorrow by reaching this good herbal doctor for help and assistance. I would also encourage this piece of information to be shared among friends and loved ones in order to create a positive awareness.

Thank you for voicing concerns about the keto diet and the super restrictive diets. I have known a couple of people who were hospitalized for metabolic syndrome after being on the keto diet. Part of the reason I created my channel was to let people know that there are healthier ways to achieve a low calorie diet than by being on a super restrictive diet!

This is just superb, been searching for “can diabetics eat bananas and apples” for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about Eeyiden Peerless Equalizer (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now )?
It is an awesome one off guide for discovering how to get diabetes friendly recipes minus the headache. Ive heard some great things about it and my mate got excellent results with it.
I just wanted to know what carbs I can eat. I’m never full without a carb and I don’t like to have a protein without a carb.
90% of the fucken food at the grocery is loaded with sugar these companies are killing america.
Carbs are not essential to any diet. Carbs in any diabetic diet is a slow death sentence. For 100% sound carbs info search Robert Lustig or John Yudkin. Sugars, refined flours, white rice, most factory breads, 100% of all pastas, all shop bought pizzas, bottled juices, all factory conserves, 99.9% of all factory condiments will all cause insulin spikes. Stick to fresh veggies, eggs, nuts, seeds, roots, whole fruits(never never juice them) meats, fish, seaweeds, fermented products and dairy to taste. Factory products are for factory returns not for any health benefits.
No carb for one year combined with lots of hard exercise and sweating.
Brilliant lecture. Going to try it. Type 1 for 41 years. Two amazing sons. Normal births. So grateful for my amazing life. Recently become insulin resistant and overweight and blood glucose control has changed. Also post menopause to add into the mix. GP keeps saying improve control or you risk complicatIons. Like I haven’t been terrified of those since I saw people without their legs back in 1979 and tried my best to avoid! Why don’t the docs say you’re doing great so far but you could try this? Thanks for some hope. I have some very old diet sheets if you want a copy emailed?I’m in the UK.
The Chinese have always eaten very “healthy” and eat completely according to the traditional food pyramid, but the proportion of diabetes is getting higher and higher.
i wont be waiting for studies, my Hba1c dropped from 95 UK to 55 UK and my average sugars hit highs of 9. Thats on under 30g per day. never felt better and i only struggle with sugar’s during exercise but I’m getting there with that.
Low carb diet makes such a difference with type 1. I feel great and have good energy everyday on low carb.
As a Type 1 for 33 years, THANK YOU for studying this and putting helpful info out for us! It is such an endlessly hard disease, and low-carb diets make it a little more manageable. Still not easy or predictable— since fats and proteins also affect my blood sugar—but better
Valuable info here for Type 1 Diabetics. Low-Carb is the safest and healthiest diet for you!
FEEDING IS THE PROBLEM FASTING IS THE ANSWER BROARDEN THE SCOPE OF YOUR LOGIC CARBS + INSULIN = FATS EXCESS FATS RENDER DIABETES INCURABLE YES THIS MEANS CURABLE

Type 2 diabetes is insulin resistance caused by fat blocking the insulin receptors in the cell. Low carb does not reverse insulin resistance, it reduces the sugar and thus the need for the processing of sugar. The way insulin resistance is cured is by lowering the fat that causes it. Keto masks the symptoms of type 2 diabetes by removing sugars that the body cannot process properly because the disease is still present. If insulin resistance was actually “reversed” then carbs could be processed normally. Therefore the disease has not been reversed, just masked.
I have been T1 (for 21 years) on Bernstein diet (last 4 years), recently got a CGM, and do an analysis daily on the data, follow the guidelines by Dr Bernstein daily. It has reduced my average BG levels to a A1c of about 5.4% (average 5.8 mmol), virtually eliminated hypos (partly due to the CGM) and maximum postprandial excursions of typically less than 6.5 mmol. If you need any data logs of CGM data on a low carb diet, let me know!
Keep up the good work, I only wish I learnt that carbs where not essential 20 years ago, instead of the standard (and what I consider blatantly wrong) dietary advise normally given to T1’s. (also my weight has reduced to a steady optimum level, and energy, health, skin, etc all improved dramatically as a result of this dietary change)
soo BS go watch dr neal bernard and dr mcdougle they cure diabeates with sugar and carbs and this diabetes 1 and 2 i causes from fat!
Please address the findings in this article. Is this information valid, accurate or not?

Type 1 on a zerocarb (meat-only), ketogenic diet for 6 years now. It has really been a life changer. Having said that, it is only part of the problem having the discipline to eat the same meals every day, as well as the same exercise is also part of the solution.
Is Custokebon Secrets helpful to lost a ton of weight? We have read many good stuff about Custokebon Secrets (just search it on google).
Big Pharma + Food Industry will never get a plus income when they promote a material such as this. That’s simply why being a diabetic to them is something it has to do with your genes! Healthy bread my ass.
I have also had wonderful results. I have been Keto for seven months. BGs between 4.5 and 6.7. A1c 5.7. No rapid insulin. Halved Lantis. Great not to be riding the roller coaster anymore.
What an amazing lecture spot on it makes all the sense. This is the most important piece of information in the management of Diabetes…
On a political note: saw this campaign, promoting free ‘health care’ because we are all getting sicker. No mention of “Why” we are getting sicker. The Nutritional Guidelines need a Serious Overhaul. Standard of Care…
45 to 65% carbs in type 1 diabetes???
I had no idea. I thought LCHF was standard practice for type 1 diabetes. But I guess I should have known. Fat fear and carb love is standard practice in the medical world. Plus the farmaceutical industry will push doctors to keep telling their patients to eat lots of carbs.
Keto plus fasting properly done works every time.
My diabetic scars I’ve had for years are almost gone too.
I find that the Keto diet is definitely working for me! My blood sugar levels remain very constant now. I was found to be insulin deficient a few months ago. I love low carb! ❤
So either you’re not a type 1 diabetic or you’re a type 1 who was developing complications either way BOOOO misinformation should not be published as fact
Hi,, I reversed my diabetes following this natural treatment: thebigdiabetes-lie. com (Google it) It’s about changing your diet for something more natural. ♀
Age 61 specialist sports nutrition personal trainer never liked alot of carbs doctor said no diabetes
So this is an insulin dependent case who had insulin resistance too. Correct?
Good luck with your goal and congratulations on your efforts so far. I think the battle is, 1st to show by example and then try and convince the stalwarts of conventional diabetes opinions you may have a treatment that works. I’m T2, I lost 6 stone + in 6 months and I’m the same weigh now, plus I’ve been drug free diet controlled for over a year (diet doctor member). I’ve found people are interested BUT very slow to pay attention to the details of how I do it. Preferring the old school ideas and treatments. It’s an uphill battle to change the concept of what is good or bad for Diabetics, IMHO.
This is fantastic. I only wish my brother would have been able to do this. He died in 2015 due to complications attributed to his diabetes. Dialysis 6 days a week, continued eating carbs and injecting insulin. His doctor never told him about eating a low carb (or keto) diet. While it breaks my heart, it makes me equally angry. Doctors who are treating their patients with insulin should be taking note of information like this. Stop pandering to pharmaceutical companies. Stop being complicit in peoples’ death and sickness due to this conspiracy (yes I said conspiracy) of pharmaceutical and food manufacturer companies.
End story of this is my brother is gone but when I found my own glucose levels climbing, my doctor wanted to put me on Metformin. I said no thank you, I’ll fix this myself. Happy to say my A1c has gone down from 5.9 to 4.8. I’ve lost 35 lbs and am no longer living in fear that I will have the same fate as my brother. And by the way, I am 67 years old. Thank you to Dr. Sara Hallberg AND Dr. Jason Fung for giving me a chance at living to a ripe old age. You have my deepest gratitude and respect.
Thank you. use this method: “thebigdiabetes-lie. com” (Google it)
and you will see how you eliminate sugar from the blood
Keto diet is the least challenging of them all. Cutting calories on a high carb diet is challenging to the point it’s unsustainable.
You need to learn the difference between ketosis and ketoacidosis. They are not the same thing at all. Ketoacidosis is a complication of primarily type 1 diabetes and it can kill. Ketosis is a natural state that everyone enters from time to time and is the body using fat stores.
Anybody know what is Custokebon Secrets about? I hear many people lost their fat with this popular fat burn diet plan.
She’s delusional, she just called The Ketogenic Diet and Intermittent Fasting as a fad diet, WTF? She just said she wouldn’t mind if a diabetic would go to McDonald’s, She just said that a Diabetic Type 1 shouldn’t go on Keto which is fucking ludicrous. If you are a type 1 diabetic, you receive insulin shots because your pancreas doesn’t produce insulin, in Ketoacidosis, your blood sugar goes up to 300, on Keto it goes to 60 or 80 or something low, Insulin pushes the blood sugar down, so why wouldn’t you want to go on a diet that lowers your blood sugar, which is Keto, the only way you can get Ketoacidosis for a diabetic type 1 is if they don’t take in their insulin shots, plus if they go on Keto, they’re blood sugars go down so their need for insulin is less, thus less insulin shots every day, also she says she is afraid of people getting low blood sugars while Intermittent Fasting? WTF? The reason your blood sugars go down is because you spiked them, and insulin pushed it down, when you go on Keto and IF, your blood sugars normalize and are stable, this woman is delusional
My former client Tracy Brown the CEO of ADA is all for Keto. 2 years ago I got her to put butter in her coffee and eat keto. She is doing her best to get Keto and low carb on their recommendations unfortunately we know Washington has it’s own issues when it comes to conforming to the truth. This is a big step for ADA, go Tracy go
