So grateful it exists in 2020.”
How will it taste if it got no cream cheese, cheese, italian seasoning, snd the other seasoning. I only got salt n pepper at home for seasoning. Can i use milk intead of cream cheese?
This looks so delicious! I can’t wait to try it! Thanks so much for sharing this!
if you are cutting carbs only eat 1/4 of this and the rest to a friends. have yours served over cooked cauliflower. it can work.
I tried this without the mozzarella cheese…I didn’t like the taste cuz I didn’t have the amounts of the ingredients so I just added it on my own. I added too much chili powder not enough garlic and not enough pepper it came out terrible.
I made this today and it was so flavorful and I loved it. I had bone in chicken thighs and cut the meat and skin off. I did not have spring onion and used regular onion instead. Still perfect. Thanks for sharing. Plus I used almons flour because I didn’t have psyllum husk. Oh I served it with cauliflower rice
I just came by your video and tried the recipe. I’m in mauritius and Im a fan of your cooking. The recipe turned out amazing. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge
I’m an Asian and I have never had this salad in my life. Asian people usually eat steamed or boiled veggies for greens
I hope they washed that cutting board after cutting raw chicken on it before they cut the tomato
A suggestion for keeping the crunch might be to double fry it. So half fry it for a few minutes, then let it cool slightly, then fry it again. the crunchiness should last longer. I do this when I make flour coating. might work for psyllium husk also
Group breading what can I use instead of Stevia… because Stevia gives me serious Stomach Pain?!
I hate the fact they pack mushrooms, bean sprouts and stuff in plastic it just sweats and does not last long. bring back paper bags! I always do the same with my mushrooms after opening I put them back into the container lined with paper kitchen towel and they last for ages. Even if they dry up they can still be used:)
What kind of gas burner is thag u use i have been looking for one like that but but with no luck. Please respond thank u
I’m sorry but you have added a ton of carbs to that dish. Just the chicken, veggies and soy sauce would have been perfect. Still looks yummy though.
Your dad is just too cool. I’d like to see him and your wife do a taste test with you. That could be comedy gold.
i can tell this is not asian at all because putting a tiny handful of lettuce with a shit ton of other ingredients and an excessive amount of sauce/dressing is mostly an american thing
I cannot believe how good this recipe is I opened up my Chili Peppers for a kick.. I’m pretty sure this is my favorite recipe now thanks although something turned gray or purple could have been the psyllium not sure still the best!!
Thanks for the recipe and listing the recipe. Can one use seaim oil in place of soy?
WOW!!! Looks so amazing. You are a great cook and great instructor. Keep it up.
Thank you for this post! I have been struggling to lose weight and actually keep it off. Carbs were my biggest problem. This looks absolutely amazing. I don’t think I will miss the rice with this meal at all. I will be making this within the next few days. I could almost smell it through computer haha.
“Lazy like me and can’t be bothered to individually coat the chicken..”
Haha I’m dying!
I haven’t tried your recipe, but I heard you mention the chicken loses crunch after a while. Well the same problem actually occures with a regular flour coating. A trick that I learned from a Chinese classmate is to fry the chicken twice. Then it keeps its crunch. No clue if it will work the same with a non-flour coating. But you can always give it a go. Hope this helps. Take care!
Thank you for the video! Looks awesome. Going to give it a whirl… ❤️ from California
Love the recipe. I love watching you cook. You are absolutely priceless! I’m in Canada… going to look for your book
I am also diabetic and this looks absolutely gorgeous, and I will be having a go at making it thanks for the video.
This is whats called “DIRTY KETO” and im here for every minute of it!!!! Thanks for the recipes!!!
Didn’t know if I was watching a food video or listening to the radio
Just because you use soy sauce doesn’t mean it’s Asian… jfc
General Tso is going to appear in chicken form in my kitchen tonight! Thanks man, I’m diggin’ your style. Keep those horns up!
Sharpen your knives!!! Looks great though. Looking forward to trying it. Thanks!
I finally made this mouth-watering recipe and I must say it was immensely brilliant in every way!! (You guys need to try it) So much flavor! Thank you so much for making it and giving us tips
They legit make the same salad at Panera or at least they used to I got it every time I went there
Assalamualaikum.what eals you did to loss? I mean how you lost 20 pounds? Please help me to i tried lots things but didn’t work on me now I have lots off health problems
First time I’ve ever watched this guy and I bloody love him!!!! I’ve subscribed. Brilliant!
Is it ok if i add in 1tbsp ginger garlic paste and not 5 garlic cloves and 1 ginger?
It looks delicious definitely will try this recipe so glad I found it thank you
There is no way this is low carb. The orange juice, the vegetables… No, not low carb!
I just finished making and eating this recipe. Wow. Love love love it. I had a few missing items had to improvise. Added som tomato past to the sauce sweetener to taste and Xanthan gum to thicken the sauce and guess what it was amazing thank you I also love the chicken nuggets that you made again and freezed them.
I love this video! And I will order your cookbook.
Starting KETO tomarrow.
Thanks.
Doesn’t look very low carb. Definitely not diabetic friendly.
Looks very tasty. Did you made the garlic, ginger paste or storee bought. Thanks
Thanks, Sahil! My husband is gluten free and I’m doing keto—we both love General Tso’s chicken but haven’t had it in years. Can’t wait to try this. Your channel is so much fun to watch!
The look on your dads face when you said psyllium husk is priceless! I’m glad I found your corner of YouTube! Ty for posting!
looks fabulous and we love when you have your father on. ❤️️
I have to ask, why chicken breast? Why not use the legs or thighs of a chicken and keep the skin on?
you saved my life
i cant wait to buy your book
keep going sahil
more and more people are doing keto
Love you and totally love it when your dad does a guest appearance, he’s always so honest.
please make something vegetarian too! and that too without egg! cuz we vegetarians are not able to make these dishes!
According to Tasty, soy sauce = “Asian”. LOL. Buzzfeed doesn’t have any Asian employee, apparently:-\
Hi There, Bought your book and loved it. I would really appreciate it if you can maybe add information like Total Carbs about all the ingredients, you used in your recipe. It will give us more clarity and help us in planning our meal. Thank you for all your hard work!
awesome chicken! looks delicious! i am hungry! thanks for sharing!
I’m so excited to try this! It was also very nice to see your father be so proud of his son. Thank you! You keep our tummies happy and help me make dishes that my non-keto family will eat with me.
Why do you call it Asian when it only resembles China and also it is bland…..just saying
Delicious recipe instead of the pysillium husks I used almond flour and it worked great. Will make this again soon.
Why psyllium husk it’s the nasties slymiest stuff on the planet.
You know it’s going to be a good video when Papa Headbanger makes an appearance!!
Ghee has the highest burn point. Olive oil tastes bitter if deep frying.
Absolutely brilliant! Thank you for making Keto so much easier psychologically! You are a hero my dude!
The video shows that sesame seeds are added to make the dressing but that is omitted in the recipe.
This is asian inspired
Soy sauce, sesame seeds, garlic, ginger, etc are seasonings used in some Asian dishes and Asian inspired dishes.
People in the comments: this is not Asian
Me: Still looks good tho
I’m not doing keto, but I’m diabetic, so these keto recipes definitely let me have some foods I normally can’t have. I think a temporary run on keto, and once a week intermittent fast really helps get you to a point where you can survive diabetes better though.
How to find out wheter the food you’re eating is asian or not 101:
Step 1: Is there soy sauce?
I love this video totally can’t wait to make the recipe my honey loves general shows chicken…
Just wanted to point out that rice wine vinegar is sold either seasoned or unseasoned. Seasoned has added sugar so those on keto need to be careful. Many years ago I bought unseasoned and wondered why it didn’t taste like it normally did. ♀️
I just purchased Complete Keto. Wheres the love for this book?
GREAT Video. Your enthusiasm and cooking technique excellent. Your are a good teacher.
I’m was over weight and diabetic. My mistake was not knowing the hidden sugars and
carbohydrates in foods, that I thought were healthy.
The sweet sauces which are oyster, soy and chill probably have sugar, cornstarch, orange juice, carrot. It would be interesting to enter them into the app MY FITNESS PAL to check
the carb count. You’d probably be in shock. Especially if you want your carb count under 20 each day.
Also veggies like root vegetable, carrot are high in carbs. A root veggies are basically sugar storage factories.
Also sweet peas are high in carbs.
Red bell peppers are pretty but are higher in carbs then green ones. As purple onions are higher than white ones.
I didn’t know this too. I have Diabetes and was testing my blood 7 times a day. Even though I thought I was eating healthy. I didn’t understand why my sugars were high.
It was because I was not counting the carbs properly. I was not aware of hidden sugars.
To my surprise I learned about certain veggies that were carb high when I thought they were originally healthy, They are healthy but not for a Diabetic.
The free app called MY FITNESS PAL will give you the info of Macros, which are fat, carbs, calories. With this app, you can scan the bar code on the food product and you will get exact info from the manuafacturer. It was eye opening.
I also learned what vegetables to eat from Dr. Eric Westman on youtube.
His program is Low Carb and Higher fat diet. The goal is to keep Carb under 20
and only eat when hunger. I already lost 40 pounds without exercising.
Blessings to you and everyone on their Health recovery journey.
Sincerely, Miss Flo
soo this is called asian salad… Because you put a small bowl in the end??
They should’ve put ‘Asian inspired’ salad this isn’t Asian it only got some of the Asian flavours
why is everyone so offended by the title? im asian and idgaf
Lard is the best oil to fry with. It’s cheaper then even vegetable oil which is awesome and pretty good for your or at least not bad for you.
did they seriously have to do asian chicken chopped salad.
WHY IS IT ASIAN?
IS IT RACISM BECAUSE WE EAT WONTONS AND ETC.
Came across this video tonight and was so excited to see I had everything needed. This dressing is DELICIOUS and so fast to put together. I added a little sugar and couldn’t be happier with it. This is going to be something I will be making again and again. Thank you for sharing!
asian do eat salad, but not this way. But thanks anyway, since this bowl seems to be like a good mixture of west and east cuisine ❤️❤️ gonna try this ❤️
all these bullshit comments everytime Tasty uploaded a video… yall keep arguing about pointless thing that Tasty doesnt give a shit about. Good on you Tasty!!
I make my own version of this, but with coconut aminos and some homemade ketchup for some savory.. the ginger and sesame oil is a necessity for savorynessssss:)
Asian people don’t eat salad but this is made in America so I guess it’s ok to just call it whatever they want lol
That was a tender moment with the Father. I would love to try that. It seems less arduous than some of the other Chinese takeout copycat keto recipes I’ve seen. I hope to try it when I buy some psyllium husks powder.
You forgot t h e cauliflower rice! LOL! I just watched another another version. Yours looks like t h e real thing. Definitely will try this this week!
Ok if I put soy sauce in my water. Can i call it asian than?
There wasn’t anything Asian about this… It’s just a normal salad eith some other spices. Plus Asians never eat this lol
I can’t choose between the lemon pepper chicken, or the eggplant parmesan in the book.. Both are drool worthy!
It’s really depressing to see all the “how is this Asian?” comments and realize that people who watch this channel don’t know anything about cooking and have never heard of teriyaki sauce…
Why are people freaking out.
One person isn’t going to eat all of this themselves, in one sitting!
Having some carrots and a tiny bit of sauce won’t be a problem.
This isn’t a Asian salad. how I know is that I’m Asian and i know what Asian food is and this is not
I’m so glad I found this video I also have diabetes. I found out 3 months a go I’ve lost 19 lbs so far. I have completely changed my way of eating, this video is fabulous I could swan dive into the finished results.:) I love that pepper grinder. New subscriber here.
You and your dad are priceless! Sahil…..you’re a really great chef!
ooh, i get it. Adding soy sause to anything makes it asian. ok.
He’s going to think that it’s too blandnot spicy enough:)
HahahaI was wrong
Tasty really don’t know how to cook Asian (which Asian!?) food. They think adding soy sauce is “Asian” enough. Blech.
I will use this chicken recipe with noodles. It looks amazing
Oh yeah…. Yummy. I have to admit when I eat lettuce wraps I usually end up wearing it lol.
You have added mozzarella and cream cheese. I am wondering these cheese will gain weight or lose.
I hope this keto cooking book will help you
https://miniurl.pw/Z0xKfW
I would have cooked down the onion first, love the idea tho
Why was coconut oil not recommended, thought it was keto friendly? Thanks and happy new year!
I am sooooo going to make this. I am also diabetic and trying to reduce the amount of carbs I’m eating
I know what I’m having for dinner. (Only adding cilantro, maybe some crushed peanuts on top and shiracha.) Thank you!
Great video recipe. I wonder what an oat fibre coating would be like? It’s a pleasure to watch someone cook who has a great sense of humour. I’m looking forward to trying this soon.
Subscribe our channel to watch more new videos: https://goo.gl/52XBVz
These are so yummy!!!! My daughter I law made these for Christmas knowing 3 of us are gluten free/ low carb and keto.
Awesome recipe as always. This would be good in a cabbage wrap too.
Looks delicious, What are obstructions, I have health issues too?
Okay, gave this a try tonight. I was so surprised by how good the psyllium husk worked! I tossed the pieces 5 at a time in a bowl of the breading, tossed them around and then took them out one by one. The sauce was not to my taste, but I probably put the wrong proportions in. It needed to be sweeter and more acidic. But I will try again!
Horns Up! If want to save on paper towel-use a metal colander in a metal bowl allow to drain while fry next batch and then put the drained meat into another bowl. YUM I’m so breaking out the fiber husk.
Awesomeness another great recipe and your dads face when you said psyllium husks….priceless
i will try it looks great if nothing else the music is great
im curious to know what part of ‘asia’ this comes from. do they eat salad like this in pakistan? how about syria? maybe israel? FOH
Oh man you’ve done it this time! My favorite Chinese dish keto style!!! This is happiness!! Thank you!!
And your dad is such a cool guy.
I will be buying your cookbook at B&N this week. Greetings
Your stir fry looks sensational but as a diabetic myself there is some ingredients you have used that will likely cause a sugar spike, I shall adapt your dish to my own I think. Many thanks
Hi, Raihanas I cooked this for dinner tonight. My family loved it. I have been watching a lot of your videos just wanted you to know I really enjoy them. Have a wonderful day!
You need a book with just chicken recipes I feel you know 100 ways to make chicken
Miss Hungry Elephant, one day could you do a ‘what I eat in a day’ video please? All your recipes are great!
I think there’s a difference between Afghan, Chinese, and Indian foods. “Asian”. Whatever
Its not 2 many recipes that i try but dis 1 was true 2 flavor. I truly enjoyed it. 2 d people that disliked dis video its because u cant cook probably cant cook so of course it didn’t taste right
I love how all the carb/nutrition sticklers are throwing such a big tantrum over the “low carb” description. OK WE ALL GET IT! this was a fantastic recipe, the sweet/spicy/tangy flavor was fantastic, and as long as you eat it in moderation, just like you should eat everything in moderation, you will be just fine.
Cornstarch? Did you know that causes a huge spike on blood sugar?
I’m anxious to try this….I love stir fry….. I’m new here
Tired of this low carb fad. Carbs aren’t bad for you, only the refined carbs are.
Hi Rihana, this khadija USA I always like your cooking now I started 3 weeks ago my own channel which me good luck
Beautifully done video. Love the color and your presentation. I’m sure it is delicious, but the sauce is going to raise your blood sugar through the roof and sabotage your hubbies weight loss. There is way more to low carb eating than skipping the rice and noodles. I would just move on but thought maybe you didn’t realize that those ingredients are low carb no nos. Be careful of whole sugar pea pods, and carrots. Both are very high in carbs and not allowed until the maintenance phase. I’m not going anywhere, love your videos.
This was AMAZING! Thank you for posting this video! I had to subscribe! Keep the videos coming
So glad I found your page and thanks for writing the recipes and please give more great low carb recipes and how you loss the weight recipes will be great
All of your sauces have carbs. Orange juice has lots of carbs. Carrots have lots of carbs and bell papers have carbs. So, no low carb meal here.
This is like a white person who wore an “I am Asian T-shirt”
This dish looks so amazingly healthy and satisfying. I like the idea of adding cashews, and I think it would be good as well with a very small amount of raisin.
Naw.. This the stuff I ate when I was her size. Stopped these fried dishes at home and ate clean. Dropped 20 kgs.
A low carb diet isnt a low carb diet if you cheat, and this video shows exactly that, do the diet properly or not at all, i like how she says “guilt free”, all that corn starch and corn syrup in the sweet chile sauce….. what a joke.
This does look awesome…the carrots and cornstarch are not low carb or keto…but I see you used a minimal amount…thanks so much…looking g forward to seeing more of low/no carb recipes…keep on doing what you are doing…and kodos to your
healthy weight loss.
This does look good, I will have to try it. Some of these comments though, seriously? Guys, if you don’t like something in a recipe, it’s called OPTIONAL. For example, instead of corn starch, use flour or even baking powder. If you think carrots have too many carbs, OMIT them. Geez, a recipe isn’t set in stone ya know. Chefs don’t always use an exact science, they use their taste buds.
I’ve tried Tis a while a back an I must say Tis was extremely delicious, d seasoning was on point an d flavor was perfect
I suggest supplement arrowroot power to corn starch so it would reduce the amount of carbs
I love Indian food lol. But hey I’m glad you redid the recipe for more sauce. I love sauce!!!!
Cooking this right now for my gf! Ill let you know how date night goes! Thanks!
Thank you for the demonstration; I should leave the rice out as well. Looks delicious.
OMG I Love it for the first time ever I made my stir fried chicken veggies that taste so good just the way I wanted Raihanas what a awesome cuisine!
GET YOURSELF A HIGH WATTAGE NUWAVE COOKTOP….YOUR STEEL WOK WILL WORK WITH IT PERFECTLY
I’m diabetic and if I made this dish, my sugar would be sky high! This is a sugary meal and not good for diabetics.
Asians: “how’s this Asian?”
White ppl: “chill it’s just food.”
Asians: “this is some bland white ppl food lol.”
White ppl: “NOw HoLD oN JUsT a MiNUtE!”
Tried it today. It was so delish! My picky eater daughter loves it! Thank you for sharing this recipe.
It has been said that “We eat with our eyes.” So true…this is soooooo appealing. Just wondering if you could suggest something different than the oyster sauce, as that is not a favorite of mine. Thanks so much. Heather McDougall.
This would work really well as a salad to pack and bring to work or school for lunch. Dressing on the bottom, then almonds and chicken, then the slightly denser veggies like carrots, maybe some bean sprouts, then cabbage and romaine. Shake it up right before eating to keep the leafy bits from getting soggy.
definitely will make it, I have diabetes too so this recipes will help me a lot, thank you!!
Burn more calories with a manual pepper grinder
Seriously, great recipie.
Wow…this looks very tasty plus obviously very healthy…I gonna definitely try this over the weekend…I love cooking for my family because then I know what we are eating…thanks for the recipe
Hi!! Amazing recipe, looking so good!! Could you use almond flour instead of physillium husk, please?
Did anyone else think they were gonna eat the salad with chopsticks?
FANTASTIC BOWL MOVEMENT is playing a show this weekend in my city
The seasoning may be Asian but we don’t ever eat salads and we don’t eat that part of the chicken.
Great video. Thanks and good luck! You can get a perfect spiralizer bundle with a bonuses. Make low carb food with fun: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GM0BHR6
I’m not sure how is this receipt low carbs? There is tons of sucre in it. Do your homework pls
orange juice is a processed food and bad for diabetics…will try the recipe minus the orange juice and carrots..but I will make it with pork..
OMGNESS get that plastic spoon out of the frying pan bits and pieces of that plastic spoon is melting into your meal. I don’t care what it says about the temperature these new plastic spoons spatulas say they can withstand AT THE END OF THE DAY IT’S PLASTIC PEOPLE.
very nice video:) we like&sub:) hope you sub back:) Like # 438
Hello. Im curious how it is tha tyou believe this is low carb? Im being a jerk Im just concerned. The veggies used are higher in carbs for hte most part as is the sweet chili sauce (not sure about oyster sauce) and orange juice? i stay away from these things due to the higher sugar carb content. what do you think? Id like your opinion. the dish does look delicious but not one i would use on a Ketogenic diet (high fat, moderate protein.. veyr low carb) thanks
There once was a cute little elephant,
Who’s skills in the kitchen were evident;
No matter the party,
she kept it low carby,
And each yummy recipe relevant.
Hi! Looks yummy!! I will be trying this dish. Please, do you know and can share the final carb count on this dish? Thanks and thank you for sharing the dish with us!!
I’m curious about the garlic ginger purée, is that store bought or made on your own?
Your stir fry looks absolutely scrumptious. However, watch the hidden sugars in that sauce especially if your weight loss starts to stall. I’m glad you are on a weight loss journey for health keep up the good work.
Hello! I just found your channel Glenn Fricker sent me here! I’m gonna give the Keto a go. Just ordered your book, and of course subscribed. Horns up \m/
Made this recipe it was very good just sub out the husk for almond flour very delicious
I just ordered your book. So excited. Can’t wait to receive it.
What I learned: Adding Soy Sauce to your recipes instantly makes them of Asian cuisine.
looks great..but not really loww carb with corn starch and OJ..you can use Xanthan Gum instead of corn starch to thicken, that will make it much more low caarb, and no OJ..to lower carbs more.
It looks good but the title is very misleading. This is not a low carb recipe. Orange juice has ALOT of natural sugar, oyster sauce, sweet chili sauce and cornstarch has sugar and unnecessary carbs
Very nice. You can grind cauliflower in cuisanart and steam a little to use like rice
Carrots are high in carbs, and so is orange juice. There might be a way to lower the carbs by using some orange flavoring/water and an acceptable sweetener, and maybe thicken with xanthan gum since cornstarch has more carbs.
The sweet chill sauce has about 6.5 carbs in a tablespoon, and the orange juice will be about 13, so right there you have almost 20 grams of carb.
Half a cup of carrots adds another 4 net carbs. The snow peas are not too bad, but they do add another 5 carbs for half a cup. So now you are up to at least 30 carbs probably a little more because all of the veggies will have some carbs.
If a person ate half of what you prepared, that is at least a 15=20 carb meal (more if counting all carbs and not just Net Carbs). For someone like me who limits carbs to 20 per day, that would be way too many for one meal. But compared to how most people eat it is definitely a lower carb meal and a good way for someone to eat healthier.
Congrats on your weight loss and with keeping your blood sugars normal good for you! I will probably try making this but eliminate the oj, and the higher carb veggies.
Assalamo Alaykom Sister
thank you so much for the low carb VDO, I wil try it soon. I am assuming you are a Muslim Sister, if so please dont forget to say besmi Allah when you eat or….. commence anything. JAK
Why tf are people getting annoyed over the fact that they use Asian in the title, I’m Chinese and this is about as Asian as a salad you could get lmao
This looks so good!!! I will definitely make this for my family! You are such an inspiration! Keep up the great work!
My mom made this it was delicious I just had to subscribe ( she showed me this after she made it)
