I don’t know but if the cockroach of the sea can’t detoxify I’m not going to eat it!!
Hi Dr. Berg! Thank you for your videos. Are the minerals supplements as bad as the vit C for instance? Many thanks.
Mmm yes expensive I only got lobster once BUT THEY DONT HAVE MUCH THAT MEAT IN THEM
Make sure the shellfish is not from a contaminated waters zone..with nuclear waste from Fukushima or from the nuclear disaster in Scotland many years ago as well… SAFE sources of any foods from the oceans are getting more and more scarce…
My thing is, why can’t you just devlop a tool designed to punch their brain through the shell literally
right before you cook them so that they die immediately and the flesh doesn’t have time to rot?
They said it takes an hour for it to happen so it doesnt even matter if they kill it right before it goes in.
The lobster is dead when it comes out of the pot anyway so what difference does it make to
kill it right before its in the pot? Does the suffering enrich the flavor?
Just grabbed 4 salmon fillets out of freezer to thaw out:)
Okay buddy you didnt have to kiss that lobster man… he wasnt even dead yet
what about heavy metals in shellfish? where do you buy them?
The label shows carbs in my canned smoked oysters. Should we worry about their carb content?
Hi Dr, any particular reason for your face on your right cheek shrunken?
Shabbos joe always pushing nonsense…and smoking weed is for nerds. This 5’4 manlet is a cornball
Aren’t oysters responsible for cleaning the contamination of the ocean? And you want to consume that……… yes I guess.
Maybe I’m confused.. But, aren’t Shrimp, Crab and Lobster Crustaceans?
Roman noodles is a popular food in prison. Does that mean I’m secretly eating like a King?
How was the source, was the water clean. Oysters are filter feeders. So you could water an oyster an actually can kill you. So you can eat it but you need to make sure the area is clean.
Cooking it alive what the fck?
Doesn’t it sound like a nightmare to you if someone cooked you alive
I’ve been to a lobster factory and at my cousin’s restaurant there is a tank filled with lobster
But why wasn’t it expensive when they served it to prisoners?… Capitalism.
I love oysters but $3+ per oyster in a restaurant is insane! At least that the typical rate here in Vancouver
Then there are mukbangers shoving them down their throats
It’s about 25-30 bucks over here where I live in Texas, very close to the Gulf of Mexico.
I literally live where we can catch lobsters whenever it’s legally allowed so it ain’t expensive here
I love shelfish but i thought alot of them were bottom feeders and consume alot of polutants and thus concentrate them and pass them on to you when you consume them?
Our founding fathers ate them as a snack so that’s why they were able beat those tea drinking British
I love seafood and salmon. The only liver I like is chicken liver.
they used to dirt cheap prisoners would loathes eating them.
I’m selfish for shellfish. It’s my favorite. Now I have the drs prescription. Oysters, scallops, clams,:mussels, and of course shrimp and crab. Yummy in butter. What’s your opinion m raw oysters? Also what about the carbs in scallops?
Hi, following your great videos on keto, however two of us have histamine intolerance, and it’s almost taken us out of keto. Hard to IF, and nothing fermented or acidic like ACV. Seen some other sites that say histamine intolerance could be linked to a low carb diet. Any ideas as to what we can do?
I hate seafood so I’m good. Not even sure why I watched this video. Lol
Hi Dr Berg, a question if I may.
What’s best in your opinion?
1: Keto, regular 3 meals, no IF
2: Eating carbs too, but OMAD
If you only had those 2 options.
Thank you
How does one shop for seafood/shellfish? I worry about Corexit in the Gulf, Fukushima radiation in the Pacific, and poor quality from China.
If you allergic for shellfish what’s the other kind you can consume.
American exporters are offering more for American Lobsters to be exported to China. In China eating lobster for dinner is a status symbol and their rich will want to eat a lobster per household once a week at least
Is it ok to eat any kind of these sea food that you talked about? Does it matter where it comes from? like from any farm ocean or country Pls help Im struggling sorry for my bad English
I totally disagree with this! A lot of people are allergic to shellfish because it’s not good for you from what I’ve learned if it can’t filter out the garbage then it’s full of trash and not health like fish without gills!!???
Now Lobsters are getting cheaper and cheaper due to the virus if im not mistaken
Lol I lived on an island where they come up onto the beaches in the early hours of the morning. Was pretty interesting to watch.
If you like lobster you need to go to New Brunswick. In season you can buy pretty large bags of canning lobsters (I think 1 lb. Per lobster) in supermarkets for like 10-12$ Canadian, average 8$ US.
I bought a large cooler, the freezer bags, and 22 lobsters ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 pounders for 180$
Its insanity lol.
I would eat fresh ones, but can only get canned. And they have lead and cadmium. Boo

What a story to tell to your grandkids that you ate lobster everyday!
Can they be cooked any way we want (keto style ways) and still be as healthful?
Lobster dont need be alive,, I dived and broke claws and tails to be frozen and stored for winter… just glaze it
Most concentrated and BIOAVAILABLE nutrients would be from liver on that list. Not sure how vegetables made it before fish and liver. I want whatever Dr. Berg is smoking.
Shellfish have some of the highest concentration of mercury.
Great video!
I just want to say that beef liver is definitely the most nutrient dense food on that list, overall. Some of the shellfish like oysters and clams outshine liver when it comes to the minerals and DHA.
Hey Dr. Berg, you seem like an omniscient guy and I do appreciate your knowledge about nutrition.
But have you thought about the ecological and ethical aspects about eating a lot of fish and meat?
So many people are following your advice, involving so many dead animals in their diet:( isn’t there another way you could promote a healthy way of living?
Well that explains why lobster is expensive in restaurants but the question is why they are expensive alive
Hi im new on Keto. How about the carbs on Shrimp? I read its 1gr per shrimp

I love eating seafood, but I don’t want to be too shellfish about it.
as a vegan i can say that oysters are definetely superior to all other animal products in terms of sustainability, however, joe was wrong in saying they dont feel.
oysters have ganglia, which is basically a primitive nervous system, scientist do not yet know if they feel pain or are aware. they have sperm and eggs, veins, and ganglia, so id wager they can feel pain.

Worst advice in the world, with warming waters there is an increase in potential for food poisoing from shellfish. Its getting worse by the year.

What I learned:
1. 200 years ago, lobsters were sold like 3 cent hot dogs and served to prisoners due to their low social value
2. Trying to maintain a lobster farm is difficult due to how much you have to keep up with it to make sure nothing goes wrong
3. The FDA says that a 6 year old lobster is unacceptable and I say that they can suck my mixed race dick

Love your channel…. but curious how our land locked hunter/gatherer ancestors consumed many of these essential minerals and how they got enough of them. Also, in general, I often wonder how our staving ancestors (think 100,000 years ago) consumed enough of all these specific nutrients in high enough quantities. Was it all from organ meats which is something we no longer consume? If we evolved to be health with all these things, it would be logical to believe “cave men” were somehow able to easily consume enough of all these minerals and today our fake food is lacking in them. Thanks!
Live Quebec lobster currently selling for $5.99 CAD ($4.40 USD) per pound in Montreal. I think there is a glut on the market due to restaurant closures (COVID 19)
Powdered oyster shells are great for shocking the water in swimming pools. Sea Clear is what we recommend.
The oysters are making the water more pure by consuming the nastiness in the water, no? That’s why people don’t like bottom feeders. I’ll admit I still like a lot of bottom feeders like shrimp or catfish, sometimes clams or scallops when made really nicely.
I appreciate these informative videos so much! ✨ Thank you!

In the bible were told not to eat shellfish. I don’t believe it says why, but the reason I believe is because shellfish and pigs don’t properly digest their foodnor do their bodies properly excrete waste.
