i hate this recipe. i made it once. and it’s so good that my wife now requests it at every single party and gathering we have. Damn you Stay at Home Chef!!! it’s like the 7th time in 2 months now i need to make it again. i feel used and abused.
My brother made me this when he got back from Equdor. Its so good. I’m dairy free now due to dairy causing me cystic acne. Where can I find or how can I make dairy free cojita cheese? I hope Miyoko makes cojita cheese some day.
Should be called American street corn, this is 100% a product of the U.S.A.
Made this, and posted it proudly on facebook publicly and everybody loved it Thank u so much. We are huge salad eaters and found this one Extremly Good. Look forward to more
hahaha thats bc.. thats how they do it haha that was great. Awesome looking turn out
I just found this one, thank you! I will make it for lunch tomorrow!
Hey man, it’s only choppy when I broadcast it to tv. So is the tacos. But not any other videos. And not choppy while watching on my phone.
I don’t know what to say. I wouldn’t have noticed but I watch on tv and tacos and corn vids are choppy.
Wow looks amazing thank youdefiantly gonna try it.. By the way I love your accent
First of all get it right you gill the corn you don’t boil the corn
Hi Chef, I just made your Carne Asada a few nights ago, the one that had something to do with Chef Bayless, it was A-MAZING! I also did Elote, but I’m not sure if that was yours or not. I’ve never had it before and it was delicious as well. So I can’t WAIT to try this out. Thanks so much.

ok white guys showing mexican street vendor corn recipes… no thank you it looks horrible lol
How ironic is this? 2 white men showing showing someone how to make a Mexican dish. Gtfoh. Smh
The recipe doesn’t say how much mayo to use. I am guessing about 3/4 cup? Any idea? Thanks.
Very beautiful and authentic recipe, wow thanks for sharing ✨
Bro we made this last night. Amazing. I did em with my version of a Detroit sweet heat recipe that I think is good and I ain’t even a cook. I might jump on the you tube band wagon and make a vid on how I do em.
Seems simple enough. I like corn and mayo. Guess Ill give it a try. Thanks for your time andbeffort inbmaking the vid. and thank you for the recipe.
I love the recipes reminds me of mi familias. #yougotgoodeats
Keep going Mexican and simple fideos.

My daughters favorite! Can’t wait to try this with her. Also Congratulations on 5K
Well yes but actually no, in fact, in México we use yellow corn, and don’t add butter, also there’s se things that other persons already said in the comments.
Dude, I’m ALL in Thanks.!!!
Hey, what are you doing different on the videos.?
Parmesan Chicken video is smooth but the fish tacos and street corn are skippy.
I don’t know if you watch after you post but the vids are cutting in and out.
My wife thought it was on our side but playing back older vids, they were smooth.
I can’t wait to try them out, though.
I think I saw a link to Amazon to your store.? Either way, I need some stuff.
Have a good nite.
I must say, I’m sooo happy you showed how to do roasted elote!!!! I don’t like it any other way!!! I also love the way you went back over the video at the end with the measurements during each clip because it allows those that are hearing impaired to experience the video’s experience as well.❤️❤️❤️
3 minutes in the microwave, 2-3 minutes charring up, So let’s call it 5 minutes. Ya can’t beat that folks. Have a great weekend! Make some Mexican this weekend why don’t ya?
Its supposed to be grilled and I never seen em put melted butter on it but everything else is correct.
best place i’ve had decent corn was in my mom’s backyard when she attained some organic corn seeds from Laos.
So glad I stumbled upon your channel! It’s such a pleasure to watch you cook….so easy on the eyes and you provide really great information. Looking forward to seeing more
I’m Mexican and I approve this recipe! You can even add a squeeze of lime juice to make it extra authentic and for even more flavor. Gracias por la receta.
That’s how it’s done, not like the dumb chicanos putting takis or Cheetos
USE CREMA INSTEAD OF MAYONAISE. Also if you use regular Chile powder it’s more of the original flavor
We’re talking about having a taco “Tuesday”. We’re old so it has to be a Taco Friday or Saturday. I’m going to take this. Thanks!
It’s not mayonnaise it is Mexican crema, there’s a big difference flavor. Add more butter and use chili powder and fresh lime juice. The taste is more authentic. TaJin is a nice touch though.
Here’s how I make it:
-Boil the corn
-fry the corn in a pan for a minute or so
-put butter on it
-Add Mexican table cream
-add chili powder
-add the powdered cheese stuff
-squeeze some lime on it
And boom
We have something like this in Bangladesh during winter. Lemme tell you it is SPICY. I have no idea what they put there. Probably harmful but it’s delicious
This was awesome!! Love your video great quality and love the tips for making elote!! Delish!
“dnt build that wall”
“dont take that stimulus check playa”
btw a wall wouldnt stop the biz… so its obvious you got the check LOLN
Will have to put cilantro on the side. I do not like it. I Googled it one time and found people absolutely love it or hate it. I may not like it but will have to offer the option. I can’t wait to try the recipe.
Loved the video Steve
I just got a new way to enjoy my
Thanks man
One of my friends mother used to sell this at my elementary school and she used to give it to us for free it was delicious
Ended up here after watching babybackmaniacs video. Looking forward to binge watching your videos. New subscriber here!
Does anyone know what kind of chili powder is best used for elotes?? What brand??
Because the thumbnail I thought this was a how to basic video
They were supposed to use the parkay butter over the mayo then cheese then chilli powder
Check out another one of my Cinco de Mayo food ideas. How to make Mexican Street Corn at home. Street corn is amazing! You definitely want to try this. Also check out my Easy To Make Appetizer Ideas playlist here https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLcZQBnk18VvZU-M7z2cyQA3xi37FQmNl
They fucked it up at the end that’s not the right Chile for it
You can make a video about corn but not about tostilocos recipe
Perfect! Simple/Fast.

This shit looks dry. I’m not Mexican but I had one that was wet and looked tasty asf
Orale Vato! Right after leaving Park Ave, hit Fuel City DT, get that Elote & a steak burrito, parking lot pimp a lil bit, & head to the house or hitta. Awready!

Gotta say, that border thang, it ain’t Mexicans all trying to get in. To date in Del Rio, folks from 63 countries apprehended at the border. USA can’t be that bad if millions trying to get here. Peace
Dallas Tx born and raised
Fuel city the truth!!

I did not know u have to put mayo on the cob . I just don’t like mayo
lol mexico isnt even 200 0years old lol but i see where you comin from bro
It seems you really enjoyed that corn! Gonna try this soon now that they are in season.
Thats sweet corn..and must be with a diffrent type of white corn.
I know people have there on home recipes but pls for the love of God get a better knife for cutting your veggies that was despicable we have our on corn salad we make its has red oinions, seedless 1cucumber, two jalapenos seeded finely chopped, 2 cans of whole corn, 2 tomatoes 2 limes squeeze about 1/2 cup or so mayo, peperika salt to taste conjito cheese this is so delicious you have to make this everyone also be sure to let the tomatoes set have diced good and then drain the excess juice from them before adding in ok and the same with cucumbers as well….
Woahhhhh am I the only one that doesn’t put melted butter on elotes
it’s pretty accurate to the Mexican style so I approve, but we use a more dense chili with a bit of water instead of just dry chili, that’s the only thing i would change but i understand that for other countries could be too spicy, this is one of the best streets foods in the world probably <3
This channel is awesome man I can’t wait till you go mainstream
San Antonio, Texas in the house great vid had to like and sub for a Texas boy!!
Ignore the thumbnails/previews. 90% of this video is this dudes face. Nobody came here to listen to you,. pendejo. Show us the elotes.
Just a suggestion, but McCormick actually makes a lime flavored mayo that is similar to the style of mayo that’s widely used in Mexico. That way you can have the lime flavor without the mess of a fresh squeeze of lime on top
I’ve been craving this so badly, had it years ago but refuse to make it myself because I’m pretty sure street vendors make it 10x better. Wish it were easy to find a place to get it in Wisconsin
When your title says “Authentic” and in the video you say “I don’t know if that’s authentic…” it’s hard to know if you’re an authoritative and reliable source on the subject! I turned off the video right after that spent time trying to figure out what is an authentic elote. Video is okay otherwise.
So glad I found this before I go shopping tomorrow to make elotes for football! I had NO idea what to look for when buying corn so thanks! Also I’m gonna try your recipe and also grill some and see what people like more! The braiding is so awesome and adds such an awesome touch to presentation!! Thanks for the video I just subbed bc I like your vibe
Love the video, thanks man. No Mayo
? I’d recommend adding a recipe in the details, it really makes a difference. Also white corn is preferred here.
cooking corn by boiled water with 1 or 2 epazote leaf… then tell me how the taste is
Hot dayum I love it when.your videis pop up in my recommendations.
Texas in da building my brother I go to fuel city just for the tacos and mexican corn in a cup. So delicious!
Sometimes we use Parmesan when we run out of the other cheese!
The aesthetics of this video are so sexy like you you like a sexy kitchen magician you the culinary Chris angel keep going!!!
It’s literally another cooking show… except taking shortcuts. How can you use the words “research” and “authentic” then use a microwave and a residential broiler. Maybe make a channel on how to TRY to cook authentic, when you (I assume) live in a small apartment in a large city?
I live in Dallas. Fuel City on Riverfront (Garland location not the same)is the bomb!! Love the corn and tacos.
There is no nasty on the corn you are the nasty one……… I’m mexican and I don’t think is authentic mexican corn
Never heard of sumac; I’ll look into it, though. I will be making this. I’ve had this but, they put too much mayo and that was all I tasted. I loved your explanation. And I always love when you turn off the lights, climb, and take that perfect picture. Love it.
Found you on #NoSmallCreator and my husband and I really dig what you’re doing! AND, now I’m very hungry. Lol. Seriously, though, great approach and great channel!
OMG I love Mexican Street Corn. Mexican food is the absolute best. This makes me so happy for summer and Cinco!
Great video once again! Now I need to go to a street fair. BTW: Some of the best corn comes from New Jersey.
I can’t believe I wasn’t subbed, sorry Steve! Better late than never….lol
Just plant corn in the street
BOOM!!!!!! THERE YOU GO STREET CORN
Your product photography is awesome. I really need to up my game like this when highlighting my woodworking too.
How long would you cook it in the oven? The same length of time???
Hell that’s sweet corn, and they’re putting melted butter in it?! SOUR CREAM?! Oh hell nah!!!!!!! There’s no way that this recipe is Mexican-style
Street corn Geez is so good..ThankU for this beautiful recipe..my mouth was watering LOL Your channel is so awesome
Getting ready to make some form of this. I just sampled the cotija cheese I bought today to find that it’s incredibly salty. I may go with parmesan as some do.
Another solid ep, my man. Congratulations on the shoutout…and the 2k…I’m everything
I’m so glad you shared your research! This saved me a lot of time, and I wanted to know how it’s authentically done! Well done ✌
U been on a roll these past few days with the vids and recipes!
Corn was actually genetically modified by humans hundreds of thousands of years ago by selective breeding and originally corn usually only had a couple kernels per ear
Wwaayyy to much mayo…it shouldn’t be white! Stuff kills the flavor of everything else. Chili powder, squeeze a lime over each ear
Holy Mac-a-Roni that was awesome!! We found a salt substitute. Will see if I can find that kind of cheese. Hopefully it isn’t high in sodium. Love how you used the husk as well to be decorating & useful all in one!
Wtf who puts butter in their elotes
And If u do explain to me how butter makes the elote taste better
Can i use can corn organic…?If yes how many cans…?Thanks
I like how he stands on the table right after to take a pictute.

Thank you for your videos!! I hope your staying safe and your food looks amazing!!❤️
In Chicago, we put Mayo NOT crema, butter, cotija and cayenne. Try it our way!
Is it me or does this seem more like an Elote instead of calling it loaded corn on the cob?
Just browsing and trying to figure out different ways to make the elote but boii when I heard you say you were from Texas I like the video so quick!!!!also representing Dallas TX fuel city is dope but I believe they shut it down due to the virus out break but they do have some bad ass food!
Freak’n amazing Steve, you make something so smile into art brother! Good stuff!
They put a Fuel City in CedarHill, I went just last night. We are making some at home tonight and ran across your page. Born and raised in Oak Cliff. #OakCliffTexas Baby
I thought styrofoam cups were banned. Our government takes forever to mandate things.
I’m so glad I saw your comment in another video and decided to click on your channel. Amazing quality production and amazing food.
Omg I LOVE mexican corn. I usually put mine in the oven for about 40 min then broil until browned but nothing beats grilled corn lol! Except for I dont wrap mine in foil if I make them on the grill because I love that charred taste
Man, Fuel City is like that!! I’ve stood in the rain for the tacos and corn!!
The elote man in Cali, the Bay Area, uses Valentino hot sauce instead of the chile powder, drizzled ontop of Mayo & cotija cheese maaan so good, messy & spicy..creamy too
Love this corn, use to get it all the time in Dallas, now I make it myself because I moved away
I love fuel city..But I’m from New Orleans!. used to live in Dallas
Nice elote brotha, next time soak them in water for about 15-20 minutes with the husk on then pop them in the microwave or the pit… The water creates better steam… Just saying, that’s how I grew up eating them over an open flame of mesquite
New subscriber!!!! Corn looks great. Im in Ohio. I’ve never had it but I’m going to try this.
Where can I cop them bones tho????
I’ve spent many of times at fuel city eating tacos and elotes

New sub.. First time i had it was in texas!. My Son wants me to make it.. ❤ SALUTE.
I have had this. I am not a mayo person. However this is spot on for the taste buds. Heavy on the butter, light on the mayo top with lime spike. It is yum.

Incomplete pollination is the reason for spotty kernel production.
My brother you are a real chef, love the video. New subscriber to your channel today.
Mexico is collapsing into a failed state. It’s going to end up like Somalia, a multiple army civil war. God made Donald Trump President to build the Wall to stop the coming tsunamis of refugees. Without Trump’s Wall we’ll end up like Europe. Don’t build the Wall? Are you joking?
