Ive just started taking collagen to help with my joints and pain in the joints what else can be done to help with it and remove it through diet, it’s stopping me from training calisthenics and really annoying if I try to hang for 30 seconds I can do it but the next day I’ll be in extreme pain my wrists feel like there about to fall off and I have absolutely no strength as the lain is Soo intense. After that I’ll be down and out for about two weeks suffering immense pain in my wrists I move my wrists around & they crack alot I haven’t always bene this way when I was you get my body was great I’m 29 now and have had I’ll health now for 10+ years. I was a really good sportsman and had to give everything up when I slipped a disc in my back and 19 years later my back is still not better and I get lots of other symptoms

I’m a south korean. We regularly eat buckweat pasta or noodle something like that. But my personal experience says buckweat noodle way more spike up insulin than durum wheat regular pasta.
I was a little confused when Thomas explained “Glycemic Load”. I did a little research.
To put it in simple terms, it’s a ranking system for carbohydrate-rich foods that measures the amount of carbs in a serving of food. It is a better indicator of which foods will spike your blood sugar than the Glycemic Index. Watermelon has a high Glycemic Index of 72 but a low Glycemic Load of 7.21. Unless you’re planning to eat whole entire watermelons, it’s not going to spike your blood sugars because per serving watermelon does not have a lot of carbs (it’s made of mostly water). The GI of 72 comes from 5 cups of watermelon, that’s lot of watermelon.
Hopefully that cleared some things up. If you take anything out of it, just know that Glycemic Load is more important than Glycemic Index.
We in Russia are mostly poor and eat Buckwheat, which gave us incredible resistance to coronavirus.

And i actually learned something I did not know. I am getting off metformin, and you are going to help me. I went 54 years without metformin and my blood not spiking. But the drugs i was on actually contributed to what is happening now. I love eating raw and vegetarian. Im barely scratching the surface with what i can eat. The CARB thing has thrown me off, but im back on track and my blood meter is giving me 110 so i have brought it down from high 200s just by listening to u and Dr Jason Fung.

I’m curious about water fasting. (not to lose weight). But at the same time killing Candida, parasites or loading up up something like formula 1, 2 Schultz cleansing for example. And what else (if anything could I add to a water fast). You can make a great tea from roasted buckwheat. They sell it at Asian groceries
You need to mention that grapefruit interferes with the absorption of some medications (it blocks the enzyme CYP3A4). So check with your doctor before you eat a lot of grapefruit. Things like Keppra (used for seizures) and some lipid lowering drugs. Grapefruit can also increase our absorption of Tegratol (used also for seizures for nerve pain and for bipolar disorder). If you take one of these drugs, you probably already know grapefruit is a no-no, but not everyone remembers the warning if they are already on the drugs when they start eating grapefruit.

“Low Glycemix..” what? Glycemix index or glycemix load? They’re different.
The lower the carbs, the more likely you’ll stay in Keto. These fruits quickly use up the 20-50g/day carb quota and it may kick you out of Keto for a little while but it will certainly benefit your health in a positive way. I personally see this as a certain type of carb cycling rather than true Keto.
If you’re on blood thinners like Warfarin (Coumadin) be careful with the cantelope melon if it’s high in vitamin K.

Oh, goody I get to eat strawberries! I like to go outside early in the morning and get in a run, and then when I come back in I like to blend up something (whatever I am in the mood for that morning) with vanilla protein powder and frozen fruit; sometimes I add cocoa to it to make it chocolate-y. Now that it is starting to get warm and humid out I especially need to be aware of replacing any electrolytes, etc. I may have lost but I have not been certain what fruits are okay. I’ve used strawberries before they turn the smoothie into a neat pink color and it tastes good, too.

Thomas, this video helped me understand the importance of timing. I’m on IF but I think I need to become more regimented to get my gut health together. Prebiotics in the morning, but what about probiotics? Same time, during the day, night? I saw others pose the question so I apologize if I missed your response.
It’s not that simple. Your gut bacteria, your a1c, glycemic LOAD, and insulin load, how you cook food (grilled asparagus and asparagus soup don’t have the same glycemic index), insulin resistance, physical activity, and stressall these factors influence your insulin response
I am a 57 year old white man, 320lbs, A1c of 6.2, blood sugar 95-120, taking Ozempic.5mg once a week, use berberine and milk thistle, eating KETO OMAD 4 days a week TMOA 3 days a week and intermittent fasting. Eating 12-20 carbs a day and 6-10 sugars a day. Walking once or twice a day.
I had a quintuple by-pass last august. Was on 500mg Metformin twice a day and could not get my A1c below 7.2. Changed to berberine and milk thistle and A1c dropped to 6.2 so far.

Herbal Kombucha… (Herbucha;) made with ANY Herbs, Berries or Fruits ONLY…( WITHOUT TEA!) AND
One of my new Favorites ( i make them ALL!:) HIBISCUS Kombucha…And Today Ill also try MACHA-Bucha…lol and to this I will add Mint AND this Batch I will make with Honey… which the use of is considered the Champaign of all Kombuchas. Called Jun Kombucha.
I typically make a gallon size batch of each… I use Juice Pitchers… and brew my ingredient in 6 cups of water…cool to room temp and add the rest of room temp water and 1 cup of Sugar only. I add 1 “scoby” piece and 1 cup of Kombucha liquid as the Starter.
I ferment Black Tea gallon size at room remp or warmer for 10 days or up to 2 weeks…then bottle and add 1/3 c fruit juices or peels for flavor…for a 3 day second ferment Max!!! If not drank by then, just Burp…and continue every 3 days to avoid explosion of carbonation.
Coffee batches are READY in 5-6 days…to this i add 1/3 c Molasses and it balances the vinegar flavor out nicely!!!
Honey Sweetened batches also only 5-6 days…no extra flavor is needed…
And Herbal batches often use white sugar to allow the herbal flavors to shine…
Allowing white sugar sweetened batches to ferment longer…up to 30 days…really gives a vinegar flavor but also uses up the sugar!!! And I do this for my Kidneys!!!! I had Stones once…and Vinegar disolved them fast!!! No need to painfully pass them!!!

I lost 36 lbs on the keto diet in 12 days. I’m never hungry and only seem to be consuming about 650 to 1000 calories a day. Making sure that I manage my micros, staying in that 70-75 20-25 and 5 range I’m fully in ketosis but I wonder if this is too low of a calorie count. For some reason, Kombucha gave me a bad allergy reaction. I was experiencing a lot of anxiety, heart palpatations, hot flashes, and other symptoms. It took me a while to figure it out, so I lacked proper sleep for a week or so. I never drank more than 6oz either.
When I first began drinking Kombucha on a daily basis, I ran into some unexpected health concerns. I have cardio issues, and am on medications for high blood pressure and heart disease. My blood pressure and heart rate dropped much lower than usual. I experienced unusual heart palpitations. Plus, I also was experiencing some mild sick feelings at times. Because of my cardiac concerns, I contacted my cardiologist office. They adjusted my meds and had me wear a monitor overnight. Well, after about two weeks, everything seemed to clear up. I have concluded, my body went through a detox. I just had a six month check up and the doctor agreed the Kombucha and detox was probably to blame. I love Kombucha, and continue to drink it daily. I enjoy brewing it at home once a week! I even had a infected tooth for over a year that seems to be healed and pain free!!
Been making my own home made kombucha, kefir, and water kefir fir a few years. I have slowed down the consumption of it quite a lot since keto and if, because I cannot Fitbit all in. But I love it. I wish there as a way to,tell how much sugar is still left after the second ferment.
This is not kombucha. Real kombucha is a seaweed that’s dried and grounded to a powder it has nothing to do with any kind of fermentation.

I started taking bile salts as of yesterday, and for some reason I’ve started to get that right shoulder pain Dr Berg talks about and pain between both shoulders. I’ve never had this pain before today. I also take acv tablets before my meal and only eat once a day. I still have my gallbladder, just trying to get in front of my health. Does anyone have an idea of why I’m suddenly having this pain?

Is there any scientific research that suggests that “pre biotics” actually survive the stomach acids to be beneficial at all?
Because I make a lot of berry and apple juice from the farm, I make my kombucha from pure juice. So basically it is apple berry vinegar, so no tea and no table sugar. I take a small amount straight before eating with the bile salts capsule and a small amount after to acidify my stomach. I can add some to flavor my drinking water before I go out to cut grass with the scythe.
Alcohol is dangerous for me, and my idea of drinking a healthy drink is not one that has enough hidden dangers that could kill me. Alcohol for me is a no no.

Well unfortunately I didn’t get the opportunity to buy his plan at this time, but what really caught my eye is the fact that someone actually called me a day later even though I didn’t buy anything. I finally found my solution for weight loss. All that worked was keto but I couldn’t stand eating 6-12 strips of bacon a day. Now I eat like 2500-3000 calories a day. Loads of fruit, veggies, yogurt, sauerkraut, kefir, coconut water and am losing weight. Just feed the body quality food: fruits and veggies.

The Gutzy prebiotics all have at least 10-11g of SUGAR per serving. Dont know how many servings per day is recommended but I highly doubt this is a keto friendly product, or at least those who are insulin resistant. Just stick to whole foods like cabbage, asparagus, broccoli etc.

Some recommendations for BUCKWHEAT
If you’re having a hard time finding it look for an Easter European store they should have it.
You can eat it raw or cooked. I really recommend trying cooked (in boiling water 12-15 minutes) tastes amazing with cheese.
It is considered a sort of a superfood in Eastern Europe. And unless I’m misinformed it had major role during famines in some Eastern European countries. Some people love it some aren’t a fan I really recommend trying it out at least a couple of times tho.
