The Newport H2 is the gray one, and the Whisper is the brown shoe. The Newport H2 is more rugged in every way. Note the toe guard, the width of protection surrounding my foot, and the tread on the sole (see 2nd photo). The Whisper is daintier and more fitted around my foot.Just-melted snow means soggy hiking trails, but the KEEN Women’s Newport H2 Sandals were up to the task.
Despite a mile of mud, these shoes kept me safe and upright, which is thanks, in large part, to the excellent traction on the soles. I was shocked by how lightweight and bouncy these shoes felt for the entirety of my three-mile hike.2.0 out of 5 stars Keen Newport Retro Raya Black Quality Issues September 14, 2019 I’ve been wearing Keen’s for 10+ years, and think they’re great — well-designed, functional, supportive, stable. My sister, daughter and I have had about 15 pair between us.A soft footbed, neoprene padding, and greater protection make the Newport H2 one of the most comfortable sandals in this review.
Traction While it doesn’t have the same all-terrain grip as some of the top-performing sandals in our lineup with Vibram outsoles, the Newport H2 does have a very similar stiff rubber outsole that is optimized for wet performance. The Newport H2 is the gray one, and the Whisper is the brown shoe. 4 Rated 4 stars out of 5. Runs Small Runs Large. Runs Narrow Runs Wide. Poor Support Great Support. When I bought this shoe, I tried to find out the difference between this one and the Keen Whisper, and nobody could tell me so I’ll tell you this one is a more substantial shoe, and has better grip, a thicker sole and better arch support. This is when I discovered the Keen Newport H2 Sandal.
The reviews were stellar with people boasting it as being one of the best pair of travel gear they’ve purchased or being the most comfortable shoe they’ve ever bought etc etc. So I decided to bite and did some shopping around Toronto to see where I could buy it.Keen Newport H2 sandals are extremely comfortable and strong enough to withstand outdoor terrain. They are built for hiking, they are easy to wash, and you won’t need to buy another pair of sandals for a couple of years. However, if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on a pair of shoes, you can go with the ECCO Men’s Yucatan Sandal.
I have learned with the Newport H2 Free Asia from last year to order 1/2 size up on this shoe (I always wear a 9 but ordered the 9&1/2). The Hydro is an improvement over last year in that one can actually get it on without using boot pulls. I love my H2’s from last season, but the ankle hole was too small and no neoprene for stretch at the ankle.Made with polyester webbing, the all-terrain KEEN Newport H2 sandals for women provide protection, function and freedom for your feet.
Features Lighter than the original leather version, polyester webbing uppers are lined with hydrophobic foam for comfort and fit.The women’s KEEN Newport H2 Retro sandals feature grippy soles that help you find your footing while you soak up the sights. Features Soles with multidirectional lug pattern and razor siping lend grip on slippery, wet surfaces.เก่งกู๊ด รีวิว Ep.0 | Review ร้องเท้าเดินป่า Keen NEWPORT H2 Duration: 4:30. keng good 14,953 views 4:30.

I have very wide feet and this style worked well for fit. Other Keens styles ran too narrow and long. Only issue I had was I got a small blister on my bottom of big toe from sand at the bottom of shoe after hiking a long distance on a sandy path.

quite the professional presentation, full of information, without the drama……I have used something, like this, on the AT…..
I have the same pair but in black and love em. I’m not usually a “sandals” kind of guy but they are nice to wear in the summer. As a diabetic I have to protect my feet and especially the toes and these do that job really well.
I love my H2. They are always on my feet….. by the way it must be your feet my pair don’t stink at all…..
Is it true they are not true to size? Uk 12 then should ordered uk13 to fit a big large foot?
Love these shoes. However, the quality of construction is terrible.
Stitching at the back has come away. Had the same problem with a
previous pair I owned. This seems to be a common problem…. just read
the negative reviews on Amazon and REI.
As long as your not deer hunting who cares whether they stink, your outside with them, so who cares.
this a quality Sandel for 100$ you can’t beat it, I had myn for 5 years still look great.
I bought a pair of H2s a few years back and I would not recommend them. The reasons why are they are very heavy, they easily fill with dirt, sand, and rocks. You have to take them off to get the debris out. They are difficult to put on or take off when they or your feet are wet. I had to modify mine by cutting the ankle straps. Also the nylon material they are made of is very abrasive.
I buy a pair every year of that exact same model, the stitching most of the time is great, but the last two pairs have been coming apart.
Keen needs to do a better job as these are $99.99 at Dicks sporting goods and I’m looking for better pairs.
I own 3 pairs of Keens. All over 5 years old. One pair the soles delaminated with only minimum wear and less than 3 months old.. Keen did not stand behind them. I had them repaired for $10. The other pairs held up. The main thing I do not like about them is that the toes trap sand. I wear them for about town, on creeks, rivers or the boat out in the Gulf. I wear Crocs unless doing the above, at the beach or at work. Yes the Crocs slick as $%#& when wet, but are so comfortable and the toes do not trap debris and sand. All that said you will love the Keens. ATB Stan
Have you ever experienced the little toe sticking out after a while?
The odor has to be you, somehow! I wore out my first pair after 5 years or so. My second pair is at least 7 years old. Between the two pairs, they saw daily use for 6 years of living in Honduras trudging through mud & muck, surviving the rainy seasons, climbing to remote villages in the dry season, and just general hard daily use. For the past four years I’ve lived in SW Florida, and they are on my feet a lot including my weekly fishing trips with my dad. I jump in the water with them and they’ve kept me from tearing up my feet on oyster shoals. They have never, ever had an odor problem. I love my Keens and have gotten way more than my money’s worth from them!!
My Original pair is close to 10 Years old with many thousands of miles on them, maybe the newer models are made different?
I had a pair for 4 years. Never had an issue with odor. I absolutely loved them. They were comfortable stable on your feet and wore great as far as durability. I beat the shit out of these sandals. Water beach sand sun you name it.
Bro….. Just wash your feet and wash the shoes every now and then. How is this an issue?
I remember everyone wore these in summer camp a “few” years back. Keens are great
i use these in new zealand the only complaint i have is you get funny tan lines on your feet but seriously you wont find a beter water shoe
If I understood you correctly that they run 1/2 size smaller?
Hi, Sandra. Love this review video you have done for our Newport Sandals! Could you please send me an email at [email protected] keenfootwear.com? We would love to hear from you. Thank you. ivy
My Newport sandals have served me well over 5 or 6 years. They can be hot in the summer though. Was looking to replace with the more ventilated Venice model but they were more than I wanted to pay. Decided to go with the Atika closed toe sandal at a third of the price. Will they last a half dozen years? We’ll see, but for now I can use the savings to buy the first round.

Try Hydrogen peroxide. It’s a bacterica I had same problem after a kayak trip. Sprayed them and cleared it right up. No problem since then. I wear them all summer every where in Canada, boots in the winter
Thats what the rumor is. I have found that they fit true to size.
For smell use a good castille soap I.e Dr. Bronners and let dry in the sun or drier on low.
How’s the sizing for them? On the web site it says to go up half a size, is that true?
no technical info… do the really run small like Keen says? are the heel pul tab stretchable or not?
Your feet had a chemical react with these Keen shoe materials.
I recently bought these. Super quality shoe. Love the toe guard. Have not tried them in water yet tho.
hey nice videos, thanks for showing the keens in action, I just ordered mine, going on vacation soon. thanks again for the video.
Lost me when you said you leave wet shoes in your Jeep for a week. Take better care of your gear and it will take care of you.
Best clear well spoken review I’ve seen on Keen. Just ordered mine. We’ll see. Thanks
Well done video, nice clear shots. Gonna check those Keens out.
