I’m on my third pair of Newport H2s. I agree with what you say. Super comfortable but the stitching on the side panels which secure the heel strap always fail. I’m about 10 weeks into wearing them every day and the same failure has already begun. I reckon they will see out the summer and then I’ll throw them away. I don’t think this is good enough and I have told Keen but they just point to the warranty.
Nice to have this presentation during the pandemic! Love your footwear and have several pair. I think it’s worth mentioning that recently there was an ad on Facebook for a “Keen warehouse footwear clearance” at ridiculously low prices. I, and many other Keen fans were suckered into giving them money and getting no shoes. Ten days later there are dozens reporting “Fraud”. Wish their comments had been there when I gave up over $100 to a phony ad. My daughter’s new husband, Spencer Simensen, who worked for years at Keen as a regional sales rep., was most sympathetic.
You lucked out. My 2 month old Arroyo 3’s have way more wear than a 2 month old sandal should have. My drawstring shoe lace is already showing wear also.
These are my 2nd pair, I purchased the Arroyo 2 and have worn those sandals for 3 years. I’m already looking around for another brand, it’s obvious the Arroyo 3 won’t make it through the summer. In addition to poor wear, the Arroyo 3 has extra webbing and it’s holding heat inside the sandal. If I wanted all this webbing, I’d wear socks. Buyer Beware!!!
Hi there. Love this review video you have done for our Newport H2 Sandals! Could you please send me an email at [email protected] keenfootwear.com? We would love to hear from you. Thank you. ivy
I love Keens dude!
My favorite pair of shoes are Keen, they’re very well made and comfortable.
I like the fact that I can get them in size 14 too!
Few have ever worn out Keen sandals as the sole delaminates long before the boot or sole wears out.

Nice moccasins. Most people would find sandals on the slope a little out of place, especially with all that loose shale. You seem like your confident enough though.
Maybe they aren’t smaller, just not stretched out and broken in? I just so happen to be wearing a pair of Keen slip ons. I got them a really long time ago on sale at REI on the cheap rack. I haven’t worn them much until recently when my Merrells bought the farm.
My keen did not hold up. The side leather pulled completely out of the sole These cost around $100.. After two years. Was thinking about repair. Then I found a cheap knockoff brand for $20.
I have had the same pair for about 2-3 years myself. Love them, they last a long time
If you’re around Florence this weekend I’ll be at the Odd Fellow Park…
My cheap butt would run them old ones another year lol. Happy trails bud
Always hate throwing away old sandals or shoes cause they fit so well, so dig them out of the trash and I will repair and wear!
They are the Daytona. as the newport are closed toed. Daytona if I am correct are the open toed version of the newport.
I own a pair of Keen shoes and I love them. They’re very comfortable, good looking, and were assembled in the USA. For sandals I have several pair of Chaco’s, the ones that are made in Colorado. I always try to buy domestic made/assembled products if there’s an option and I can afford it. Thanks for the review video!
thought it was a weird choice at first but on second thought a similar sandal was the preferred footwear for the ancient Roman army
Ryan, I’m a Keen wearer year round! Sandals, tennis shoe, dress shoe’s and my favorite, a low hiker. I’m not as studly as you when it comes to the cold, snowy, icy winters. Gotta have all ten covered!!! My favorite part of Keens, besides never seeming to wear out, is if they do need cleaning, I just hose them off!! Beautiful country!
