I tried so many work outs before ( kickboxing, lifting weights, zumba, running )and I couldnt lose any weight, this is my second week doing this work out and i already lost 2 kilos (4 lbs and not doing any diet, currently eating healthy/normal diet ) it gives me energy like crazy and I love it!! I love how interchangeable this particular workout is.
The two 30s stretches in the middle can be lunges or glutes, 30s each leg. Or, side plank reach under, 30s each.
I listen to my shoulders the first time through and alternate 1lb and 1/4lb. Second time through gotta make it hurt.

How did you keep your feet from hating you the next day? I can typically jump about 20 minutes at this time, but the bottom of my feet feel like I’ve walked on rocks the next day. I am a marathon runner and use running shoes to jump. Do you wear a particular shoe that supports jump roping?
Going from speed rope to 1/4 lb crossrope feels like a chain but one get’s use to it. Going to half pound is alot but I’ll keep trying. Total so far since labor day 2019 is 134,000. Temp range from 10deg above to 93 deg in Minnesota. Bumped it up to 10×200 3 times a week from 5×200. Age 65. If I can jump, anyone can. Passing a million in about 5 years. Fastest to 100 skips with speed rope was 31 seconds. Arms couldn’t go any faster. Most in a row was 421. Could do more than 2,000 but I include 20 sprints and lifting and 3×100 jumping jacks.

I just started jump roping and this was easy until you started implementing in and outs, boxer skips, double jump. It’s really tough man, hopefully with more training I can get as good as you and be able to fly through this rather than stopping every minute to try and understand the movement behind each workout was.

I did this with the normal PVC rope, and didn’t feel much. I ordered the get lean crossrope set, and did the circuit twice with the half lb rope, also added weights for squats. So sore the next day, but I know it’s working!:)
WOW this was touch. I had to switch up some of the 2LB with my 1LB. This meant that I was fully charged when I used the 2LB for the rounds, got more out of this workout that way. Thanks

I had to adapt this workout today and use the 1/2lb and 1lb rope. One day I will succeed in completing this workout with the 1lb and 2lb rope the whole way through. Small steps

Great workout, thank you! Instead of Mountain Climbers, I did b-boy back-shuffle variations which included Mountain Climbers, but we call them Bicycle Pumps. I varied the speed/rhythm, and added Scrambles aka Baby Loves, Criss Crosses, Trac 2 Shuffles, and Intro to 6-Step. I varied my jump rope steps to mimic Top Rock. What do you do if you don’t have weighted jump ropes? How can you add the weight?
I really have an important question❓. I’ve been following this routine for 3 weeks taking a day off which is on Sunday, but on the starting of the fourth week I’ve been feeling a lot of pain on my foot( the part where we usually tie our shoelaces) so should I continue or please give me some advice I’d be thankful to you guys.
I’ve been jump roping for a few months now, and I can keep the pace, but I can NEVER do any of the tricks like the stepping one foot at a time, etc. I try every time, and I just trip so then I just stick to regular skipping so I don’t defeat the workout. Any tips on how to work up to doing these?
Yo JRD… I’ve been watching some YouTube vids (see Dr Jason Fung) where essentially he is saying caloric deficits (or eat less move more) doesn’t work, at least not in a sustainable way for weight loss and he is big advocate of fasting and lowering insulin levels. As you guys have lost quite a bit of weight and also managed to maintain your new weight and even further improve I thought you would be well placed to address this. To me fasting is a great tool which can aid weight loss along with many other benefits but reality says that your body has to be in a caloric deficit in order to lose weight regardless of any fasting and it also seems to me that one can maintain this weight loss as long as they do not go back to their old habits and eat too much and continue to be active. What are your thoughts on this subject? Cheers guys.

If you are in great shape why in heavens name would you want to burn 1000 calories an hour? If you are taking in 2500 a day you would be in a perpetual deficit. Let me verify for you that will eventually destroy your body. Nutrients are too low. Eat meat to get the best most nutrient dense foods. Veggies provide very little.

Started jumping with a 12lb weighted vest to challenge myself and it’s the best thing ever! Gonna try it with a heavier rope later on too:)

This was helpful and a good workout. First time since I’ve had the crossropes of doing a jump rope only workout so helped me see that I could get almost 600 cals burned in 50 mins. One minor frustration was not being able to switch my ropes as fast as you and the short notice so there were quite a few times where you’d be almost done with the next set when I was just finally getting my ropes switched… Gets old haha… But now it’s easy to do this type of workout on my own so I’ll get to call the switches up at least.. For the sake of other newbs like myself maybe if more advanced warning of what you’re switching to, the lag and frustration could be reduced. Hopefully I’ll get better at switching over time too. I’ve only been with the crossropes for a couple/few months now…

I have a 1lb rope I bought on amazon… been jumping daily over 2000 times, sometimes up to 5000 times. 100 jumps then 10 second break. I repeat as I watch my favourite tv shows. I finally bought the Get Strong Crossrope set. WOW! There’s a world of difference between the Crossrope and the one I have been using… one workout so far with the 1lb, ‘only’ 1000 jumps, and my arms are very sore the next day:) I can barely keep the 2lb Crossrope steady in my hands. Very happy I got the set, now I really feel my body being challenged. Peace!

Made 4 set with the same rest as you, but I replace plank by slowly mountain climber and in a round regular push up by wide and close up push up.
I did 15 reps for regular and wide and only 10 for close up. I have to improve that.

1 month into jumping rope. Finally able to finish the whole exercise, with 25 secs jumping rope and 2 minutes rest though.
I am used to doing 1000 jumps at at time and break for 45 sec until i finished 4000 jumps. This video is totally crazy,,,need more endurance to catch up.

I wanna say big thanks for you guys. Today was my first day I started mixed moves together. Boxer step, jump jack, criss cross, back and forth, and run in place. All these moves that I did because your videos.
Can anyone suggest me a good timer app? I am already using interval timer. But that app doesn’t have the feature to do this exercise.
I do this thrice a week, and on the days I’m not doing it, I do at least 2500 jumps on the rope. If only there was a way to know if I truly am burning 500 cals.

That’s not even worth it lol. You can do something more efficient. Also burning 1000 isn’t even necessary unless you trying to drop weight extremely quick.

But would it be possible to add a countdown timer of some sort so that the workout is easier to follow? i was trying to follow the layout at 1:27 but the work rest cycle seems to be off, some exercises were 30 seconds with 20 seconds rest, and some were 20 seconds with 10 seconds rest.

Hi, I’m on day 3 of the 7 day challenge. Completed this workout once and tried doing it again for the second time but was only able to do half of it. I want to increase my strength and stamina, any tips? Also I’m pretty bad at push ups and did trip in between, trying my best but kinda disappointed with my speed. Hi everyone, im just getting into skipping, so far im down from 189lbs to 178lbs in three weeks. Which is awesome and my cardio feels like its going through the roof! My goal is to reach 170ish (or lose my pot belly ) but just wondering what should I do when I reach that weight to maintain it. Should I start intake a bit more calories? Started with beginners 10-min workout yesterday. Left me feeling full of energy so I did this one today. Had to split it into 3-2 circuits with just a light rope. It’s a great workout and my goal is to do 30 mins 5 times a week and combine with intermittent fasting. I’m 53 with a bum knee so I’m going to keep it light and consistent!

Today is day 1 I did this. I’ve jump roped before without much trouble but since then, I’ve gotten more out of shape. I was out of breathe by 5 mins today. I told myself I’d just do half now and half later but I went through the WHOLE thing. Breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth helps a lot! I plan on losing 50 lbs in 6 months. I’m going to use jump rope to get me there. Right now I’m striving for consistency.
a pointer you should do is count down when you’re starting the new workout cause you just r not giving the audience a chance to get themselves ready n prepared n you feel rushed maybe just say what you’re doing

In order to burn that many calories without going one hour plus, just use the heavier rope. I use the 2lbs and 1lbs rope primarily for my workout and will burn more calories in a shorter time. I love my Crossropes.

I did it and like it but I think it wasn’t as intense as the 600 calorie workout but I like incorporating the 1/2 and 1/4 rope….I did get a nice rhythm which allows me to do boxer jumps…I typically go all out on the other workout so I don’t have time for rhythm. but 2 mins allows to pick up a rhythm….overall satisfied but not exhausted…sorry man but I enjoyed switching it up! Hello to everyone! I need your help! I am 24 years old 1,68 m. height and around 63kg weight. I was always working out aerobic exercises (skipping, jogging, playing basketball ) but i stoped 6 years ago. I got some fat and i want to buy a crossrope to burn it. I don’t know which one is the better choice. The get Lean or get Strong set? Get Lean’s description is saying its about burning fat, but everywhere i read that the get strong burns more calories (cause its heavier) i am not a professional at skipping rope but i am not a completely beginner too. I can skip rope at speed 150 spm with a normal cheap rope (skips per minute) getting a bit tired thought nowdays.. Could you please help me decide which set i should get? Any ideas for the fastest way to heal Planter Fasciitis? It’s been bothering me a little for the last month or so, and I really hit it hard yesterday, and it was very sore afterwards. Okay this is completely off topic but I’m doing a 1000 skips a day challenge and I can do up to 500 with not to much struggle seeing I do sets of 100 and normally take a 30 sec break. But after the 500 I usually do sets of 50 with about a min or more break. Is this bad or do I just need time to adjust?

I made the mistake of jumping straight into this without doing a warm up, and gave myself shin splints. Derp! ♀️ I always do the warm up beforehand now, and no problems. Thank you, this is great.

This is amazing workout, I’ve watch this video idk how many times but I’ve been doing it consistently for the past 9 months (of course I might miss a day or two), but i even replaced the gym for this workout and I’m happy with the results, my body has changed sooo much and of course keeping a balance diet. I know at first is really hard, u feel frustrated and like is not for you, but don’t give up, show yourself you can do it, I even bought the 1 and 2 pound cross rope and those ropes are amazinnnng as well, at first I was dying with 1 pound but now is really easy, I’m having little hard time with the 2 pound but Imma keep mastering, I love jump rope because of this guys!

Bought a jumprope im about to try this workout. I used to workout but got bored, I did lose weight but after not working out for a month I gained a few pounds back now Im ready to try something new and hope to keep it consistent KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

do we need weighted skipping ropes? I only have the non weighted ones hahaha
Those heavy ropes are dope, I wish crossropes gave 2 handles instead of one in the get strong set so I don’t have to swap the handle when changing rope
Serious question How do you guys workout when it’s so hot. I have to either workout in the evening or in the morning because it’s just too hot but it looks like it doesn’t bother you guys at all. How?
