Green’ Amber Ale is pretty good, but it’s expensive. I usually look for it on sale.
From November 2018 until last May for about 6 months, I was completely gluten free. And also no junk. When I ate orgnic whole wheat pasta and whole grain bread again, not only did I not feel bad in any way, I felt better. The more time that passed by after eating it again, the better I felt. It is a lie that everyone needs to be gluten free to be healthy. It doesn’t matter what William Davis, David Pearlmutter, Peter Osborne, Tom O’Brien, or any other of those clowns say. Being gluten free does nothing beneficial for me. If anything, I feel less good without gluten. Most people who think they are gluten sensitive are probably not. Most wheat products are fortified with iron and folic acid, preservatives, gmo beet sugar, hfcs, and other bad things added to them. Organic wheat doesn’t have any of those. It’s the stuff added to most wheat products that people feel better without. I know there are legitimate gluten sensitivities, but most people who think they have it probably don’t.
I freed myself from sugar, dairy, and gluten at the end of last year. Since then, I stopped getting canker sores on my gums, my underarms stopped stinking, my cyst stop hurting, my dandruff calmed down, my pimples stopped and I don’t have little white things pushing out of my chest, back and nose anymore:) Also no need to wear deodorant.
A few months ago my wife and I decided since we’ve gone so long eating clean that it wouldn’t hurt to cheat some and enjoy a little Giordano’s pizza. But each time we’ve done that, I see her pimples get crazy again,her dandruff gets crazy my skin starts pushing out little white things, my underarms stink all over again, my sinusitis will flare a bit and my bowel movements slow down for a couple of days.
For us it’s a little hard to never eat pizza again for the rest of our lives but we’re trying to free ourselves from that desire. We can see what our body is going through trying to process it.
Dr. P, do you ever cheat with something? Or have you completely mastered your cravings?
Also do you have any thoughts on deodorant? My body is designed to detox from under my arms. It seems crazy to buy something that’s going to force stop my body from doing what it’s designed to do. Seems like sugar dairy and gluten or one of those three was causing my stink, but now I don’t stink, have you ever noticed that? Any thoughts about it?
The gluten removed beer is an absolute no go for Celiacs. I tried one and it was a severe gluten reaction I later read that there are several different Elisa tests that are acceptable and some of them are less efficient at detecting barley proteins. The manufacturer can choose which test to use, One also has to consider quantity when consuming gluten free food Even 20 ppm adds up after a large serving GF food producers do their best but can’t perform miracles Also, most parts of Europe have a 20 ppm threshold (not 10) Interestingly, Australia has the strictest guidelines set at no detectable gluten or less than 3 ppm
Here in Japan Kirin markets a Green Label Tanrei (a low-malt light beer). They apparently use barley and oatmeal. The goal isn’t to limit the gluten but to cut down on the ‘purin’? I guess that is carbohydrates?
One type of barley used for brewing has high protein and low carbs, which I’m guessing is why American lagers, weak as they are, have gluten (which is protein). That is one reason why they have always traditionally used an adjunct like corn-to get the carb level up to feed the yeast.

What’s easier is just to not drink or eat anything that’s mass manufactured.
Whole fresh foods and make your own drinks with soda water, fresh fruit and add potato vodka:)
Chris, I love what you’re doing, but reviewing beers months after their enjoy by date really isn’t helping anyone. Though, I suppose this Buidweiser offering deserves that.
I like Omission lager. Your face expressions while drinking this made it painful to watch all this video. I’ll enjoy my Omission weekly.. you know it’s a Lager right?? Hahaha

You guys need to start doing some high end (top 100) on beer advocates….like Duvel for starters…it comes in at 8.5% and comes in 4 packs which is plenty and is dangerously good and deceptive (Superstore liquor store sells them in 4 packs)
