Hemp — a very close but non-psychoactive relative to the cannabis plant known as marijuana that has gained a reputation as a health food in recent years — is gluten-free in its pure form. It’s not at all closely related to the gluten grains wheat, barley, and rye.Here’s the good news: hemp does not naturally contain gluten.
This means that the CBD oil that comes from hemp does not naturally contain gluten in it, either. As long as the processing center is clean and certified gluten-free (which we’ll talk about shortly), pure CBD oil should be gluten-free.Hemp is a plant in the cannabis sativa family. It grows in stocks that are harvested and manufactured into different products. These products include foods, health products, beauty products, pet supplies, clothing, and building supplies.
All parts of the hemp plant are naturally gluten free, including the seeds.Hemp is a variety of the cannabis grown for fiber and seeds. It is a grain but considered to be gluten free.

My dad remarried and they bought a house so it’s not the house I grew up in. There’s something about having your parents still living in the home you grew up that is very comforting to me. These are some good alternative food tips, but this video does not address any tips that people who have actual celiac disease need to know in order to go gluten free. If people do not pay attention to potential cross contamination they are not actually eating gluten free. For example, using a toaster that has been used for wheat bread, and eating cross reactive foods.

Going gluten free with homemade food is the best! Most people assume that some store bought gluten free foods are healthy just because the label is advertising so, the truth is they are full of GMO corn & soy, industrial inflammatory oils like canola, xanthan gum (often derived from GMO corn and triggers allergies) and many starchy refined flours!
These are very good tips. I actually eat this way and feel a lot better. But, I do worry that the bean flours cause gas.
I take 1-2 table spoons a day of Hemp seed, Flax seed, Chia seed, Turmeric, and black pepper combined! Put it on anything and the anti inflammatory effect has been amazing…

Do you ever count the proteins you get from your food? As a dairy-free vegetarian I was wondering how I could only get my proteins from plant based meals. I’m pretty sure the average person needs 45 grams of proteins that day, but you only ate chickpeas in the hummus as a source of proteins, since potatoes and other fruits and vegetables don’t really have many proteins,at least as far as I know. Hooray for hemp! I use them in place of costly pine nuts for vegan pesto! Spread it on pizza dough for pesto base pizza. Or throw it in pasta with veggies. So thankful I clicked on the first Derek video a week ago. I have been laughing and enjoying and being vegan inspired each time. Hey Derek, actually hemp grows very well in the desert. You can get up to 4 harvests a year, here in the southwest. It’s a nitrogen fixing plant, so just choop and drop and the soil will be built up in no time.
Wish the whole seed wasn’t so expensive, I’d like to try it out for micro greens.

When you use Chia or Flax you are getting the whole seed with hemp you are not getting the whole seed because parts of the seed are removed resulting in a partially refined product.
I feel like I have less energy, but It’s probably because i’m eating so much less.
I don’t have Celiac disease, but I have been diagnosed as having gluten intolerance. I’m having a difficult time as I love bread. It’s so difficult! I am not supposed to use gluten, wheat or grains! I try to stop but not doing so well!

If a person doesn’t have Celiac Disease or is not gluten intolerant, they shouldn’t go gluten free because many gluten free products have more fats & sugars that would make a person gain weight not lose it. I did lose weight due to my Celiac Disease & the gluten free diet helped me gain weight. If a person eats gluten free foods, they could have iron deficiency or anemia from not having it from gluten grains. I know this bcuz if I don’t eat my gluten free foods for a while, I feel shaky, dizzy, & I have blurred vision. I’ve been on the gluten free diet for 10 years, from when I was 9.

A gluten free diet is easy to follow, it is all to do with your mindset. When I found out I needed to follow a gluten free diet, I never had trouble, I switched immedietly without any need to try and adjust. My thought process was about all the good things I could eat, not what I could not. God Bless.

The amount of food doesn’t matter as much, the nutrients does matter tho. She eats healthy, she is healthy, it works for her. Also everyone is different, take inspiration, do what you want, do what works for you. Stop judging others, only says more about yourself.

Curious as to why you think you need that extra protein powder in your smoothie bowl when you are already eating foods with enough proteinspinach, beans, kale, pasta and other veggies I’m guessing your are already getting 40-50 grams without it which is plenty for you. ( you only need.8g per kg of wt). Also, using boiling water for your matcha can kill it.:( Allow the water to cool a bit for using. Keep up the awesome work!!

Thank you I needed this. I haven’t been eating right and I pay for it by almost bingeing on fruits or ice cream that I’m craving so I know it’s because I’m not taking care of myself on the whole. Too much stress not enough sleep. This was a good reminder to stop and just prepare simple small meals.

Another option for going gluten-free but be eating savoury fruits like squashes, tubers or, vegetables as a form of carbohydrates.

Stick with natural foods and eat right…Get on the JERF Bandwagon (Just Eat Real Food) and you’ll be much better off!
